budget?

How about a 2700, b450 board and 16gb of ddr4?

Hey guys, so I have a PC right now that looks like this:

CPU: Intel i5-4690k

GPU: GTX 970

I also have 16 GB of DDR3, and an Asus motherboard (forgot which one)

I want to upgrade to something that would last me through college. I like to edit with Sony Vegas/Adobe After Effects.

I also like to play VR, and what I have now is really laggy/doesn't run at good fps.

I'm buying a gtx 1070 tomorrow because I got it for a really good deal ($250 new)

Can someone help me out by recommending me a new motherboard, processor, and ram?

I'm not trying to break the bank but I am trying to get something that would let me run beatsaber with no lag and edit on those 2 programs without issues.

I don't really have a set budget, it's more I just want to get enough for all the things that I want to do, but not go overkill.

Should be fine, but no garantees. Those cpu's can handle a good amount, and there will be faster ones comming out soon if you need to upgrade.

Would it be worth getting a 2600x? Or is the upgrade not that big?

Also I see that the 3 series ryzens are rumored to come out soon, is it worth the wait to just hold off until I can get one of those?
