Surface Laptop Vs HP Spectre

So I am looking at getting a new laptop for uni (word processing and stuff like that mainly). I am currently looking into I5 systems particularly the Surface Laptop. The HP spectre was also a consideration. I was just looking for some opinions or other suggestions?

In Australia aswell so if comparing the prices they are fairly close until a 10% discount is applied at JB HI FI for students at the moment.

Cheers for the help guys ?

Budget in AUD? Any preference on weight, battery life, display size and display quality? Must it be 2 in 1 / tablet?

Budget would be $2000 AUD but going over by 100 with good reason understandable. Battery life it would need to last 9am - 3pm day minimum. Weight isn't too much of an issue granted it's not really heavy. Prefersbly not a 2 in 1.

Thank you for the help

Any preference on display size? Mind low sRGB display?
