I'm directly linked into the Wi-Fi Adapter (Linksys EA6350) with an Ethernet Cable not a few feet away from my computer and I've been having troubles with loading webpages and even getting into Discord calls. Meanwhile there a laptop my mom owns on next floor up and on the other side of the house yet she's in discord fine. Not sure if the issue is software based on my computer or if it's related to my Wi-Fi router or even my Modem. Any help would be very appreciated and hope you all have an easier day then me so far!

I recently did a major upgrade on my PC, replacing almost every part including the motherboard. I previously had a PCIe wifi adapter on my old setup which I no longer need seeing as my motherboard has onboard wifi. I installed the board properly, applied the antenna, and got the PC to post. When I attempted to grab software for my fan controllers, I noticed I couldn't connect to the internet. I did some checking and noticed that there was no wifi network device in either the Network and Sharing menu nor the Device manager. Its like i dont even have onboard wifi. I checked around online to see if I could find the issue and came to the reasonable conclusion that for some strange reason, the device wasnt switched on by default. So I took the advice of others who have had this issue and went into the BIOS to see if I could find a switch for it there. Sadly, I coulnt find anything regarding a wifi switch. I dont think I even had a networking tab in the BIOS. So im wondering if im having a moment of sheer stupidity or if something is obscenely wrong with my onboard wifi. Please help! All ideas are welcome.

My ping/internet is usually very good. I can literally see on discord, my ping is usually 15ms. But as soon as I play any game, like league of legends or roblox, my ping becomes extremely bad. Pretty much unplayable. I'm not sure what it is, it might be my adapter. I'm thinking of buying new antennas to see if it will do anything. But any way to fix it without buying anything ?

After installing a pcie x1 wifi adapter (PCI_EJ_5.12) +laptop wifi module, next day when i turn on the pc the primary boot drive sata ssd is disabled or if i manage to boot into windows, the ssd stays at 100% use and windows become uselss needing reinstalling. The config is next: AsRock B365M Pro4/intel 9600/rx 480/5 sata drivers Tested on other 2 PCs before opening topic: - with no video card detection after installing the adapter (ASUS B85M-K/ intel cpu/rx 480/2 sata drives) - no problems with the wifi adapter after a cold boot next day (GA-Z87X-UD5H/ intel cpu / pcie GPU/ 1 sata drive) For the B365 is a problem with insuficient lanes available? And why has a problem only after longer period of power off? Any advice would be appreciated.

Hey there, I have a Lenovo laptop in which the wifi was working fine, then one day the wifi option just disappeared from my laptop. I checked device manager, and network in control panel the Wifi adapter and option was missing. It doesn't show up in windows 10 network settings, only ethernet is seen as available. Here are some of things I tried: 1. Go to device manager scan for hardware changes - it didn't detect the wifi card. 2. Go to Lenovo support website and download latest wifi network drivers, installed - nothing changed 3. Physically checked if the wifi card/adapter was connected well to the laptop motherboard - it was connected fine. 4. Go via BIOS to do system components diagnostic - This option seemed to be the best as I'd seen it produce good result for my problem, but my Lenovo laptop didn't have that option, I was only able to get into the BIOS, and the windows troubleshooting screen, not to the diagnostic page which id seen (granted that was for an HP laptop) OS: Windows 10 Laptop company: Lenovo Please do help me out with this problem as soon you can, I'd really appreciate it

Hello! After building my first ever pc, everything worked fine! But I can’t connect it to internet, since my internet is in another room, I can’t access it via Ethernet cable. Do you guys have any suggestions to what to buy? Like what kind of WiFi adapter is the best?

I reposted this in another topic because I've gotten nothing back on this yet. I recently built a new computer for my father, using these specs: Ryzen 5 1600 AF Gigabyte B450 I Aorus Pro Wifi RX 580 16GB Corsair Vengeance 3200 (2x8gb) 600 Watt PSU Samsung 860 EVO 1tb At first, the wifi randomly cut out when he was playing Ghost Recon Breakpoint, and it would come back pretty quickly, but it became worse over the last few weeks. During gameplay, the internet would cut out and not start again until he restarted his PC, and now whenever he turns on his computer, the wifi just won't turn on at all. We can't use ethernet here either because the router is downstairs and our house is pretty old, so there's nothing in the walls. I've attached a text file that is the "detailed result" of the wifi troubleshooter, I don't know if it will help or not, but there it is. NetworkTroubleshooting1.txt

What would you recommend for gaming online AND Livestreaming? My USB adapter at the moment isn’t cutting it. It used to be able to livestream to 1080p but then after a while, it keeps crashing. So, after reading a few reviews and such, I heard that the PCI adapters are better. So what would you recommend? I really want to stream for my fans, they haven't had quality streams in a while. I tried cuttinng the quality to 720p and it would still crash. I would put a fan on it, crash. Double fan, crash. So I just want to have a good PCI adapter for $50 (I'm willing to spend $10-$20 more if needed)

I have TP-LINK Wireless USB Adapter and 1 MB/s internet connection. My smartphone and ethernet works properly (speed tests reach 1 MB/s speeds), but wifi adapter shows the average 500 KB/s speed, sometimes it completely stops loading YT videos (Resource Monitor then shows 0 Kbps Network Activity). I tried plugging it in to all other USB ports, but in every port except one I superbly slow 50KB/s wifi speed. I had one adapter before which was working properly, but I broke it. Anyone knows the reason why I can't have stable 1 MB/s connection with my wifi adapter?

Hello, Recently two of my TP-Link WiFi adapters have been disconnecting and giving me limited access to my hub. I have another wireless adapter that works fine apart from slower connection speeds (it's not the best adapter). The two adapters have worked perfectly fine before. I have reinstalled drivers countless times now and am unsure of what to do to fix it. WiFi Adapters: TL-WN821N (300Mbps) TL-WN822N (300Mbps) If anyone has any ideas what the problem might be, please help. Thanks - Liam

Good day. I'm looking for a wifi adapter for my upcoming PC build, but I don't know which one to go for. I would like a wifi adapter that is not a wifi card that has to be plugged into a PCI-E slot, so preferably a USB adapter. Which would be the best USB adapter with a great connection for around $30? It will most likely be plugged into the back of my PC, so it needs to have a very good connection. Also, what kind of wifi adapter is provided in this Asus motherboard? Bare with me as I'm a noob in wireless PC networking. Thanks and cheers!

Hello my friends! Recently I have purchased the ECS H87H3-M3(1.0) Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard. I was wondering what pci wifi adapters would work. I currently have a graphics card blocking the PCI Express slot, I was wondering if I could use one of the two slots below it. I was thinking maybe this wifi adapter https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA24G50Y5432&cm_re=pci_wifi_adapter-_-33-166-054-_-Product but will it fit? I recently got into PC's and i am trying to build my first PC. I have a few questions about PC's. The PC I want to build is a $750 Pc build, shown by Joey Delgado in his YouTube video "Best $750 Gaming PC Build Guide - RX 580 Ryzen 5 2600 (w/ Benchmarks)". This PC's Components Include: CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 GPU: MSI Radeon RX 580 8GB Motherboard: ASUS B450-A/CSM Ram: Ballistic Sport 8GB DDR4 RAM 2666 This is the "budget" PC I want to build to satisfy my gaming needs but, I have a few questions about this build. 1.) In this build there us no internal Wifi Card/Adapter included and I will need one in my PC build because I will not have access to Ethernet. So, is there any room for a wifi adapter/card on the motherboard( listed above) for me to include it in the build even after all the PC Components are plugged in? And if so, what specific card/adapter should I buy to handle games that require low ping but, also won't cost too much? 2.) In this PC build it uses (2x4GB) RAM sticks and I was wondering if I would be able to use (2x8GB) RAM sticks instead so, i have a total of 16GB of RAM? 3.) If there is no room for WiFi card/adapter on this motherboard (listed above), would a USB wifi adapter be just as good or nearly as good? And if so, what specific USB wifi adapter would be fast but also not too expensive? 4.) Also, if I am not able to include a wifi card/adapter into this PC build, is there a a different motherboard that i could swap that could hold a wifi card/adapter even after all the other components are plugged in? Thanks for reading! I really hope that I can find these answers soon. I would truly appreciate any help/response with the intent of helping me! Thanks again!

I bought this Asus wifi adapter that has been giving me issues for a long time. I tried looking into getting a new wifi card but all the reviews that I see claim how they are either unstable, or how slow their speeds become. I am looking for a wifi adapter that is strong enough to handle all of the 5Ghz channels because my Asus wifi card wasn't even capable of recognizing any of the 5Ghz channels when it legit says on the box it is an AC adapter. The card I have is ASUS PCE-AC56 PCI Wireless Express Adapter. Side question: does anyone know where I could find and download drivers without worrying about malware/viruses? Apparently, my wifi card has an updated driver but I cannot find it on the Broadcom website and I do not trust these shady websites. So if someone could find me the updated driver that would be great!

I'm currently in the market for wifi adapters since I'm unable to run an ethernet cord to my computer. I've been browsing on amazon for the past few days and I've found, what looks like to me, as some pretty decent wifi adapters. However, when I check the reviews, many of them say the 5 Ghz doesn't work well on Windows 10 and the adapters stopped working after a few weeks or months of use. I've seen reviews like this on every single wifi adapter that I've come across. Are wifi adapters just unreliant or am I just looking at the crappy ones. If someone could tell me a good reputable company to buy wifi adapters from that would be great. Thank you in advance and have a nice day! Here are some of the wifi adapters that I've been looking at but am hesitant to buy: - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01JUCUMBK/?tag=pcpapi-20 - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00TQEX7AQ/?tag=pcpapi-20 - https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-Dual-Band-Wireless-AC1900-Adapter-PCE-AC68/dp/B01H9QMOMY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1544101023&sr=8-1&keywords=asus%2Bpce%2B68&th=1 - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078MNWHDQ/?tag=pcpapi-20

Does anyone know of any wifi adapters out there which does not draw power from the device but have their own battery instead? Need a portable wifi adapter here Which I can plug into my device for internet access without burdening my device with power drain. I am not talking about this -> https://www.amazon.com/TP-Link-Wireless-Portable-Travel-Router/dp/B00TQEX8BO?ref_=fsclp_pl_dp_2 or even this https://www.amazon.com/Huawei-E5577s-321-Hotspot-Globally-Working/dp/B01BHT39ZK?ref_=fsclp_pl_dp_5 Looking for an adapter not a router.

I recently purchased an Omen X Gaming Laptop (https://www.amazon.com/HP-i7-7820HK-Processor-Solid-State-17-ap020nr/dp/B075XHLDHC) and ever since have been having packet loss issues within the wifi adapter. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers, updating the drivers, and even formatted the pc a few times. I eventually went for an external USB wifi adapter (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VEEBOPG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1) that seemed to get rid of the packet loss and I was going strong with it for a couple weeks until it ran into the same exact problem. I then did the same thing as I did for the last WIFI adapter (uninstall, reinstall, update drivers) nothing has fixed it. I have an image of the packet loss shown in ping plotter attached to the post. I'm really stumped on this problem and would love some help. Thank you. (PS: I'm pretty sure it is not the the WIFI network I'm using, i've tried others and ended up with the same problem, and no ethernet is not a possibility.)

Im building my brother a PC and he has no access to Ethernet, so hes stuck with wireless. He's looking to game on this rig and needs a WiFi card or adapter. I've been looking at the TP-Link AC1300 but after seeing some of the reviews where writen in 2015 im not sure if its out of date now. I saw on another post here taking about Intel's AX200 but the amazon page for it says it only works with Intel CPUs and my brother has AMD. I was wondering if yall could help me out and give any reconmendations for anything around $40. Anything helps!

Hey guys. Just wondering is any of you guys able to get 200mb download on a 500mb or gigabit rogers internet plan. I had a tp link n4800 wifi card which is not compatible with win10. It's extremely slow 30-40 down on a 500mb rogers internet plan. I recently bought a $10 usb adapter and it gives me 150mb download. But the thing is both are capable of getting at least 300mb download on 5Ghz. My room is literally right next to the modem and my macbook is able to give me 200-300 download which seems crazy to me. My desktop is high end and is having trouble to get pass 150mb download. Even though it's rogers, I am pretty sure the line signal is fine when I test it. (consistent 500g down on ethernet, 200-300 on my phone) I really want to get ethernet, but I don't think it's possible without digging any wholes.
