I wanted to buy the X1 Extreme from Lenovo either the Gen 1 or the Gen 2 The Gen 2 was meant to come out in July and it did but only in the US shortly after they released the Gen 2 in the US the gen 1 was no longer customisable in the UK (don’t know about the US) The X1 Extreme Gen 1 was fixed at a certain spec and a really high price of £2400 (or something like that) I thought they where just going to slowly stop selling the Gen 1 in the UK to push the Gen 2 as the main laptop (which is unlike what they normally do with laptops). But now the Gen 1 has been taken off the website and all other UK websites have stopped selling the laptop, you can still find the page by manually putting in the URL, but its just the normal page without the price or the option to buy. So, I’m very confused by this all, There is no X1 Extreme Gen 1 being sold in the UK And the X1 Extreme Gen 2 seem to be not released yet in the UK So, I’m stuck what to do, with school fast approaching I need a new laptop, and the laptop range that i was going to get seem to have disappeared in the UK X1 Extreme Gen 1 link, UK https://www.lenovo.com/gb/en/laptops/thinkpad/x-series/ThinkPad-X1-Extreme/p/22TP2TXX1E1?gclid=CjwKCAjwnMTqBRAzEiwAEF3ndtv6K5zH-cen6LENqv_8wnC3-Ccz6m8BH0Z1dTZkRvlvGCbqBy0LfhoC0cMQAvD_BwE&cid=gb:sem|se|google||*+ThinkPad+X1+Extreme+Exact+Match+Ad+Group|***+G+-+UK+-+Search+-+Commercial+-+Laptops+-+ThinkPad+X1+Extreme|2076148225&s_kwcid=AL!4309!3!372762745669!e!!g!!x1 extreme&ef_id=CjwKCAjwnMTqBRAzEiwAEF3ndtv6K5zH-cen6LENqv_8wnC3-Ccz6m8BH0Z1dTZkRvlvGCbqBy0LfhoC0cMQAvD_BwE:G:s&s_kwcid=AL!4309!3!372762745669!e!!g!!x1 extreme X1 Extreme Gen 2 Link, UK https://www.lenovo.com/gb/en/laptops/thinkpad/x-series/X1-Extreme-Gen-2/p/22TP2TXX1E2 Image attached is where the X1 Extreme is meant to be on the UK website and where it is on the US website Need help....

Hi everybody! So I recently posted a Topic where I ask you if my CPU and GPU will work on my ThinkCentre A53. Today I got my Core2Quad Q6600 but...It doesn't boot. Fans just spins for a few seconds and it stops. I tried cleaning the pins on socket, changing some BIOS settings with no luck. What could it be? Please Help, I mean this is my first setup and I don't want to end it with slap ending. Could it be a broken BIOS? I mean on Pentium 4 Im getting error and: but it still boots fine. Again, please help!

Games think windowed mode is fullscreen D: pls help
Trommenissen posted a topic in Operating Systems
For a couple of weeks ago i was playing BF Hardline and it suddetly the game flickered and turned the game to windowed mode, or so i tought atleast. When i went into the options menu to turn the game back to fullscreen, and i see that the game still thinks that its running in fullscreen, although its clearly not. So i ask ea on their forum and they says that this is a new bug to them an that they will "investigate the issue further as soon as they can" then stopped responding. Then i bought GTA 5 and start the game up and turn on fullscreen, and everything seems to be working correctly, so i start playing the campain and after about 5 minutes the game once again flickers then turns into windowed mode and i go again to switcht it back to fullcreen but its says that it is running in fullcreen. I have tried more games like Borderlands 2 and Battlefield 4 and 3 and they all seem to say that fullscreen is windowed mode. Any one that knows what is going on here? pls windowed just isnt the same, and is messing with my mouse sensitivity pls halp -

Hey planning new black and white build what do you think about this build for gaming and Photoshop? http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/xYyBYJ thanks

So, I have a computer that I built around six months ago. It was more of a place holder so I could play games sooner than later. current specs- -amd athlon ii x4 645 (will be upgraded later down the road) -4gb crappy dell oem ram (asap upgrade) -good gigabyte mobo -gtx 760 -600w psu -bitfenix shinbi (maybe some mods) -nzxt t40 cpu cooler -one stock case fan (will be upgraded sooner than later) So the two things I was originally planning on upgrading were the ram and the case fans. What I would like to know from you is which components I should upgrade first. Full upgrade list - http://www.pcpartpicker.com/user/GaryDaCat/saved/3qFXsY NOTE - if i have more than one part in each category i am still deciding on what is the best option. NOTE 2.0 - Looks are very important to me. I am looking to go with a all red build and put some single sleeved cable extensions and red leds in the case after i upgrade the things that affect performance.

For everyone looking to build a gaming PC on a $1500 budget, here's the ultimate parts list for January 2014: CPU: Intel Core I7-4770K $319.99 CPU Cooler: Corsair H80i Liquid CPU Cooler $99.99 Motherboard: Asus Z87-A $129.99 RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance Pro 1866MHz CMY16GX3M2A1866C9R $159.99 SSD: Samsung 840 Evo 120GB $99.92 HDD: WD Caviar Blue 1TB WD10EZEX $59.98 GPU: Asus GeForce GTX 770 2GB GTX770-DC2OC-2GD5 $349.99 Case: Corsair Carbide Series 200R $54.98 Case Fans (optional): Kingwin CF-012LB X2 $7.96 Power Supply: Seasonic 80+ Platinum Fully Modular 760W SS-760XP2 $99.99 CD DVD Drive: Asus Part DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS $19.98 OS: Windows 8 64-Bit OEM DVD $97.98 Total:$1499.74 Notes: The system part list was created using PcPartPicker. The total price includes current shipping, sales and rebates. A 760W power supply is overkill. I only chose it so you can add another graphics card if you want later on without upgrading the power supply also. 16GB of RAM is also overkill. The only reason I chose 16GB of RAM is for future upgrades. If I chose 1 8GB module instead, I would run out of bandwidth. If I chose 2 4GB modules, to upgrade, I would have to remove and discard the old RAM (what a waste) to be able to upgrade to 32GB. With 2 8GB modules, you spend a little more now to save on future upgrades later. With 2 8GB modules, I could buy another kit and have 32GB. What do you think?

I'm pretty sold on getting this Power Supply but just want to get some of you're opinions! Should 750w be enough for my system? Let me know. Thanks! Project ThinkPI Ohai You might be wondering, what the heck is this title ? is it a ThinkPad ? Did he mean ThinkStation ? What's with the Pi ? Can I have some ? NO.. you can't. This is a little project of mine, where I will take this old 2007 T61 Thinkpad, gut it, hack the heck out of the frame, and shove a Raspberry Pi 3b+ in it ! you may wonder. Is this possible ? will it fit in ? what about the display ? the keyboard ? how does that all work ? Well, this is where this goes from a simple computer, to a true project laptop. Why I want this : I've been doing some fun stuff with an SDR, or a Software Defined Radio. witch lets you do tons of stuff with radio frequencies (receiver only for my unit) I can listen to ATC, the ISS (given I have a proper antenna) and the real purpose of this : Weather satellites ! So then, I wanted a Pi to run this at first, small, compact, powerfull. but then I realised, I need a monitor, keyboard, storage... Yeah, I could have took my existing laptop.. but I already had a PI I bought a PI ! And it woudn't be as cool without one. Tons of people have done "Pi laptops", but they are mostly either 3d printed, thick and flimsy, or they're platic kits that are super tiny, and quite frankly unusable. Project Milestones : Gut it Gather components Get the monitor working with the Pi (potential deal breaker) || Works as of Jan 14th 2019 Get the keyboard working with the Pi (Has been done before, though most of the projects I've seen are abandoned, even the most recent ones. Power [EDIT : 26th of Feb 2019 : Thanks to @CUDAcores89, I now have the knowledge to build my own pack reusing the batteries I had. I should start work on this in a few weeks when parts arrive.] Fit it all in Components : Raspberry Pi 3b+ Nooelec NESDR SMART Software Defined Radio Thinkpad T61 Corsair Force LS 114gb Sata2 SSD Some SATA-To-USB adapter HDMI+DVI+VGA LCD led Controller Inverter Lvds Board Kit for LP154W02(B1)(K6) (Controller for the monitor) Some thinkpad kbd to usb controller (soon) Some power solution (soon) Potentially some replacement for the fingerprint scanner & the trackpad (those tiny keyboard w/ trackpad gutted maybe ?) Link to the updates : Update 1, The monitor. Update 2, Fitting the display controller. Update 3, Finishing the fit of the display controller and first POST in the case ! Update 4, Display controller extension, closing it down for the first time ! I will keep this post updated as I go along. I will post an update post for anyone who wants notifications on this. Here's a few pictures of the early stuff : Dissasembly : From this, I have kept the external body, the frame, the keyboard, the monitor and the speakers. The early fitting of the components : In here, there's the SDR (witch fits perfectly through the 3.5mm jack ! made to be !) the Pi and (although hidden) the SSD. I also had to cut the frame a bit to fit some stuff. The pi is slightly too tall, but the buldge is not toooo bad. That's it for now
