Hi, have been looking for replacement surround headphones to my philips abc hd1505u. They are by far the best sounding 5.1 headphones I’ve ever tried. Bought SteelSeries pro wireless but they didn’t do it for me. I’m looking at used Sony mdr 700hw now but don’t know how they are for gaming? Please help!

I've been working on trying to get surround sound working literally all day. I have a reciever, and my graphics card is a gtx 1650 super ( which as far as ive read supports 5.1 surround). I tried running cyberpunk 2077 and all 5 of my speakers were working but the back speakers were just copying my front speakers. when i open the speaker set up in windows 5.1 is greyed out. i hope this makes sense my brain has literally turned to mush after trying to fix this for literally hours

I've been digging around trying to figure out which is best, i've found mixed reviews of both. This is for my home surround sound computer, I have a Sound Blaster Audigy Rx internal sound card going to my Marantz dolby atmos receiver using a fiber optic cable. I'm trying to figure out what is the best way to set it up if anyone has any experience with this i'd be more than happy for recommendations. Thanks, MP

I have an eight year old Insignia HDTV, and I'm wondering what sound bar or home theater system I can connect to it if any at all. And if I can connect one, which one do you recommend at a reasonable price?

Quite a few years ago now, I got myself a Logitech G35, which I have been using for gaming ever since. Problem is that it's old, and the cable and headband is practically falling apart. There's a great sale on the WH-1000XM3 right now, and I thought I would buy those, and use them wired for gaming and wireless for everything else. Someone in my family already has the XM3s to I decided to try them for gaming before pulling the trigger on my own pair. To my disappointment, the surround sound effect on these is terrible. With the G35, it actually sounds like the sound is moving around you, but with the XM3, the sound just dims and distorts in a weird way. I tried CS:GO and a surround sound test on YouTube. Am I doing something wrong, or is this just how they are supposed to behave? I have read somewhere that they are way better in wireless mode soundwise, but I tried the same surround test with my phone, and got the same result. PS: I plan to use an external mic when gaming. All responses appreciated

Okay, I searched quite a bit for this but haven't found a good (and recent) answer... I'm looking for a new AV-Receiver which should power my 7.2 system that's connected to my old Pioneer VSX AV-Receiver. My setup right now is, that I have an old AVR which can't handle 4k 120Hz so it's connected via HDMI to my GPU but not to any screen and my two Screens are also connected to the GPU (in total 3 Display outputs are used). I am looking for an AVR that will be able to pass WQHD (for future proofing 4k would be better) HDR Signals with 100+Hz to my gaming Monitor and also power the speakers. Has anyone experience with such a setup for gaming? (Latency doesn't really matter since that can be tweaked) and no... A Headset is not the answer. I wear Headphones 8-10 Hours each day at work so I want to keep that open sound. Only thing is my personal price limit of 1200 Freedom Dollars. Thanks

So i have a Jamo 5.1 surround system hooked up to my sony sdr de515 amp. Its quite old so no HDMI or anything like that only RCA out. At the moment i just have a rca left and right to aux into my laptop and stream 4k stuff through there on my https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/kogan-50-4k-hdr-led-tv-series-8-ju8100/ but i really want to get something like a fire stick 4k (Since i already have a few echo dots in the house) because of the remote and convenience. Although how can i hook up the 5.1 speakers to the fire TV stick? Or is there a better option to stream 4k Netflix and what not to my TV while being able to connect my speakers? Any help is appreciated thanks!

I currently am setting up a surround sound system for movies on my PC, and I was wondering if I could even utilize it for gaming. I mainly play CSGO, PUBG, Apex, R6S etc. on my arctis 7, and I know CSGO has HRTF (what other games use this technology or something similar?). Back to surround sound. Do games even support real surround sound? and if they don’t, could I just disable my other speakers and use a 2.1 setup that uses HRTF (or something similar) while gaming? If not I can just continue using my Arctis 7 for gaming. Thanks

I am currently using my onboard sound (Purity Sound 2) and stereo Beats headphones. I was looking into headsets (especially the HyperX Cloud series) and I found that the Cloud II has virtual surround sound. What I heard from a friend was that it is better to get a real sound card that renders sound. Any insight on what I should pick? What are the pros/cons of both, and which is a better buy? I want surround sound in my headset but I don't want to spend too much on it. Thanks!
