Ive been having this problem for a while now, where every time or most times I start my pc, I will have super slow internet speeds. According to windows it is all fine and says I am connected in the bottom right hand corner. I have also have the latest windows and driver updates for all my components (you can see details below). The solution for this at the moment is unplugging and re plugging it back in and as you can see on the speeds there is a substantial difference. The cable is also not the problem, I have a new one installed and have tried different cables as well as different ports from my router. I have a feeling this is a setting wrong or software problem. I have included all my specs below, would be great if someone would be able to help! Before vs after re-plugging the cable If there is more information you need, I am happy to provide it, just would really like to try and sort this out! Hey, I have a really annoying problem. I have an NVME SSD and an HDD. My windows is downloaded on the NVME. And in the boot order the NVME is set first. When I turn on my PC, it takes 50 seconds!!! And when I unplug the HDD, it boots in 30 seconds. I have all the startup apps disabled. What could be the problem?

Hello, Every few days, I encounter an issue where my computer doesn't start as expected. To get it up and running, I have to perform a long 10+ second press of the power button, followed by a regular press. The exact cause of this problem eludes me. Here's my typical routine: each night, I properly shut down the computer from the Windows operating system and switch off the power outlet. In the morning, I turn on the power outlet switch and press the computer's power button to initiate the startup. It's worth noting that I don't disconnect the computer's power cord from the outlet. I'm seeking your assistance to understand the root cause of this issue and determine whether it has any adverse effects on the computer's performance or components. Here are the specifications of my computer: CPU: INTEL CORE I9-13900K Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX Z790-E WIFI RAM: XPG Lancer DDR5 32GB (2 X 16GB) 6000MHz CL40 Desktop RAM CPU Cooler: Lia Li Galahad 360 AIO ARGB Power Supply: EVGA SuperNova 1000 GT PSU Storage: 1TB NVMe GEN 4 SSD - Kingston KC3000 + 2 extra SATA SSDs Case Fans: Cooler Master SickelFlow ARGB Fans x3 Additionally, I have a mechanical keyboard connected via the rear USB port, which lights up as soon as I turn on the power outlet switch, but the computer itself doesn't respond when I press the power button. I would greatly appreciate your insights and guidance on resolving this issue.

Hello, I've been having this weird issue since yesterday, when I log in into my PC I'm able to open programs for only a few seconds before it blocks me out of opening anything else, after that it looks like every single program is not detected anymore, from file explorer to the calculator app, settings, anything it's just like is not installed. I've done a clean windows install and the issue persists. List of software I install when starting anew: -razer synapse V3 -XPpen driver -nvidia drivers -amd chipset -realtek audio and LAN drivers -windows update Specs: Rtx 3070 TUF gaming Ryzen 7 5700x Aorus B450 Elite 16GB ram crucial ballistic 3200mhz Crucial bx500 240gb (windows goes here) Adata swordfish 500gb M2 Kingston 2TB M2 Seagate Barracuda 2Tb HDD Asus ROG 650w 80+ gold full modular PSU Windows 11 22H2

Hello everyone, I´m new on the community and i hope you can help me with this weird issue on my PC when booting up. (In advance, I want to apologize for my poor english, I am from Latin America and English is not my strong suit. I´ll try to be clear as possible. My PC specs: AMD Ryzen 5 5600g MSI B550 Tomahawk motherboard 16GB DDR4 Corsair Vengance Pro (2x8GB working in Dual Channel at 3200MHz) Samsung NVME SSD 980 500GB PSU: MSI A750GF 80gold The issue: One in every 20 or 30 times, my computer turns off just before starting Windows (It doesn't show the Windows logo before turning off, it's always before and after the Motherboard logo) The times it does start (The other 20 or 30 times), it works perfectly and can stay on for the amount of time you want and even under heavy load (Gaming). Do you guys have any idea of what could be the issue? Should i be scared of this damaging my PC at the long run? I assembled the PC part by part about 4 months ago but at this day, i´m still cluless about this isssue.

Hello guys! I was interested to see how complete the information was from the Tech Quickie channel, so we took all of the video transcripts and set up an AI search engine and chatbot for them using Arguflow. I think this actually be a pretty solid learning aid for tech novices. Check out the live apps at ltt-search.arguflow.ai and ltt-chat.arguflow.ai. It’s actually quite cool, from the search results you can even navigate to the exact spot in the video where that particular transcript came from: You can also chat with the search results and ask ChatGPT questions about them to get further guidance and help if things don’t make quite sense or are only tangentially relevant. Using the chatbot UI you can even get ChatGPT to search on your behalf and link to the relevant results if you’re too lazy to search yourself lol. What do you guys think about this tool, would you use it?

Not sure what happened since yesterday everything was fine, now when I start up my pc none of my programs that I have on automatic startup starts after getting into my desktop. When i start up the programs individually and not with startup they seem to be fine, it's just weird that they don't automatically start up for some reason. As shown in the photo they are indeed enabled for startup.

I've noticed that my bios time is around 12-15 seconds with a quite decent pc while my friends with way worse pcs have around 3 seconds ? these are my specs : https://pcpartpicker.com/list/LsCmPF

I noticed this issue about 3 months back. Sometimes when I restart or shutdown my laptop, Most of my startup apps don't load up after booting, and when I check taskbar, they aren't even on the list either, the startup folder is empty as well. And in the apps, the option to startup with Windows is also unchecked or unticked. Not sure what exactly is the issue, a registry bug or a virus? Need Help. It's g etting pretty frustrating

Hi ! So. I just picked up no less than 40 Dell and HP servers from different companies in Copenhagen. Now what? It is a mix of M620, R710, R720 and some R730s. Along with a rack, a 10G 24 port Cisco swtich, a new UPS, and a upcoming 4G WAN connection. I'm running a PR agency along with a influencer agency with focus on content creation and YouTube. (we are opening our first LLC) We use my old gaming PC as a server, running unRaid with 4 x 14TB and a 1TB NVME as cache. With 12 core Ryzen 3900X and 64G of RAM. We max that poor thing out. We have CAT 5e in the on location building, they do 10GBe up to 30 meters. We will connect editors with CAT7 to a 2,5GBe switch, with 2,5GBe for each. Planning on getting that to 10GBe though. So! What now and how? We want everything to be well connected, and are tired of slow transfers and workflow. I do not even now if UnRaid is the way to go anymore? Or if a NAS is better than a SAN? And everything will need to be solid state, and yes, we can buy from both Canada and the US. As long as it ships to Copenhagen in Denmark. Give me all your thoughts and tell me what I have forgot to mention in my description above! All best, Thomas

Hello everyone, I just signed in here because I have a problem with my laptop. The laptop boots to windows but takes me to troubleshooting menu, I have tried all of the troubleshooting options and nothing seems to work. I also tried resetting the BIOS and formatting the NVMe drive and reinstalling windows. And even with a new OS installed it won't boot up. When I took the SSD out and tried it in another PC it worked fine and there was no problem. I'm confused here, what could be the couse of this problem if the SSD and the OS are fine and working? What other parts are related to this? ***SOLVING UPDATE*** I disabled VMD Controller from the bios and it solved the problem

Hello, My NVME SSD recently switched motherboards and had trouble booting. I checked on CMD and running CHKDSK found no errors. I don’t want anything to be deleted as I have data on it, and after checking the files in the boot drive, there is no Windows folder. Only a Windows.Old. I don’t know how or why this happened but I think that might be a problem. I want to make my M.2 SSD bootable and with all its files. Let me know what to do to fix, appreciate the help!

Good Afternoon, I recently rebuilt my PC in a new case with new fans. I switched from 6 Corsair's HD fans to 9 Lian Li's Uni SL 120 fans. After the rebuild when I power my PC on it starts up, after a second or 2 it shuts off, and then boots normally. Could someone please advise what could be the problem and what I could try to fix it? Hello all, Upon turning my pc on this morning, the lights clicked on, then off, then the rig starts up, fans start spinning etc. It then gets stuck on the AMIBIOS screen (american megatrends), the one where it shows you what motherboard and processor you have, memory, detected drives, etc. (it does display a cpu fan error on the attached picture, but that has been displayed on that screen since i first built the pc, never caused any issues, so i do not think it is related at all. ) However I have never noticed the paragraph below the cpu fan error, detailing intel optane memory or raid config, so maybe that could be something. So anyways on this amibios screen, I have to press F1 to run setup, which takes me into the bios, from there i can access the boot menu and choose the windows boot manager to load from. I then get a republic of gaming logo appear on screen with a buffer icon. it then displays another screen, with just the buffer icon after a while, windows loads up and i can use everything as if nothing was wrong at all. I have tried doing a system restore, but the issue still persists. I have tried turning the pc on with nothing else plugged in besides the display port and power adapter. As well as unplugging all external drives and my other ssd. I ran into a similar issue to this a while back, where my pc would not turn on at all, lights and fans would keep flicking on and off.aThis happened after not using the computer for a few monthes, due to being away from home for a bit. After numerous reboots, unplugging everything etc, it did finally turn on, whereby my pc installed an nvidia update and windows update, and then it has worked fine ever since. However there has been the occasional time where the pc just turns itself off and reboots. Just thought i should mention this event, just in case it could shed light on what is going on now. I havent installed any new hardware to the build, the spec sheet included is the same it has been since i put it all together. I will post pictures of my pc specs and the screens i have mentioned above. Pc specs - https://drive.google.com/file/d/14uVopZkCWXosYcpcmt0zoOVhGmVzFqZn/view Amibios screen that it gets stuck on - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1CZrOqPjY2YNYy78esfxC1g6i4MDGOy3I/view Bios screen displayed after pressing f1 to enter setup - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1CcYBWdKv4Gjxz871CKuc7RPBEbs38lwp/view Boot menu, I click on windows boot manager - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ClV_WccX_oNwI2bXbZTDZxCSJbyL0J_Q/view asus republic screen displayed after clicking on windows boot manager - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1CvlzzOH_5hqrmLjXuauN8HDRChRZKctT/view buffer screen after asus republic screen (normal windows lock screen is displayed after this screen, but it does take a while) - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1D5wXUbHvf6OsrcT5JyYQ2-5mYpnA4wGM/view I installed a new cmos battery, which doesnt seem to have done much. It didnt do the click on and off, before turning on when i got home from work today. So I'm wondering if that has been fixed, however I did leave the machine plugged in, so I will find out in the morning after turning it off at the wall, whether that issue has potentially been fixed. I still get stuck on this american trends screen, i always have to manually go to the boot menu and boot windows that way. I'm wondering if it's just a fault with the motherboard, or perhaps my bios is damaged somehow. Faulty ssd perhaps? I'm going to dust off the manual tomorrow and see if there is a way to restore the bios to factory settings. Otherwise I have no idea what to do.

Hi, I recently installed a RAID 0 array in my PC and upgraded the SSD with a Sabrent Rocket NVMe. Since I did this, the problems started to happen: at every startup of my PC, programs like Advanced SystemCare Ultimate, EA Desktop, CrystalDiskMark (and I think orther disk related programs and applications) won't start, or sometimes they start but I have to force close them, because they don't open/work properly and are stuck. Antoher strange thing is the fact that at startup my disk usage is always 100%, and only after a few minutes it stabilize itself and becomes normal. I updated all my drivers (especially the Intel RST one) and Windows 10. I also did a clean install, twice. But the problem is still happening. Any idea about what could be the problem and how to solve it? Thanks in advance. Hey, all, I recently upgraded my Macbook Pro that I bought in 2019 to macos 12.0.1 "Monterey." Ever since upgrading, every time I power on my laptop, I get the error message "Your computer was shut down because of a problem" or something of the like (forgetting the exact phrasing). This has happened to my every time I've powered on my device, but at no point did my laptop actually shut down due to a noticeable problem. I shut the computer off regularly via the shutdown button in the toolbar. Has anyone else been having this issue? Anyone find a good fix? Here's more specific info about my Macbook: MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2016, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports) 2.9 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5 16 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3 Intel Iris Graphics 550 1536 MB Thanks!

Hello, after one and a half years with this problems and applying every single YT video Fix. I came across Linus channel and this Forum, so here I'm going to describe my problem. Specs at the end. so when i first got this Pc everything was running smoothly, startu-up would take 40s to 1 min and woul be ready to use after 30 secs of warm up. naturally I started instaling programs and everything worked just fine. I even got up to 50% of my disk full of textures and 3d scenes, programs and one or two games occupaing 90 GB at max. yet everything was working fine until one windows update around 2020 (I dont remember which one but Probably one related to power shell, since i saw people on the internet complaining about their computer being slow after a power shell update) my startup became one compared to a potato PC from 2004 trying to boot win 11 from a 20GB 2002 HDD. this are the times I Chronometered. Motherboard screen 30s black screen with spinning dots 40s Windows "please wait" screen 40s - 1' 30s depending on the day welcome screen takes 10s to show up my user name and password input box and 30s to enter windows and after that it takes 1 min to load tool bar icons and quick access. then i have to wait up to 3 min for apps like browser to stop being laggy or getting freezee or crash. so after only after my 6 - 8 minutes wait I can actually start using the computer.and most apps take 20s or so to open. Again, this started suddenly and It's been a year and half dealing with this. I had some urgencies I couldn't respond thanks to this stupid load times. I'm pretty sure this is a Windows issue but i have no idea how to fix, solve or throubleshoot at all. I've tried every tip on internet and YT to speed up boot times. right now i have turn off every single startup app, updated every single driver (some manually) and also the Bios (which was one of the most frightening experiences in my life) BTW, recently I intaled Linux, so I can respond to some urgencies more quickly, and it's amazing, It literally boots in 30 secs and all apps are avaliable inmediatly. So I hope you can help me. PD: i feel like installing fresh windows is a last resource Specs - 3,5 years old Pc. all drivers updated Windows 10 pro 64 bit MSI H270 GAMING M3 (latest Bios) Intel Core i5 7400 @ 3.00GHz 2x8GB Mixed Ram (Kingston and HyperX) both 1066Mhz DDR4 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB 931GB Western Digital WDC WD10EZEX-08WN4A0 ThermalTake TR2 series 600W English is not my first language, so if anything is unclear just ask

Hi there, so my Problem is, that my computer needs quite some time to start up, despite beeing reasonable equipped: Win 10 Home x64 i7-8700K 2 x 8GB Corsair Vengeance 500GB Samsung EVO 970 (boot) 1000GB Crucial MX500 RTX 2070 Zotac Amp! Extreme 550 W bequiet! PSU I often buy old machines for friends of mine, throw in a cheap SATA SSDs and these things boot faster then my one... Also if I search for files in Explorer it takes for ages, if I try moving files, Explorer doesn't respond for some minutes... Spotify and WhatsApp need minutes to start up. FarCry 4 has loading times, longer then on my old HDD years ago... I don't know, wether I'm just unlucky or plain dumb. English isn't my mother tounge, so excuse if I express myself strangely... Thx!

So I'm trying to clean my wife's ssd to a bigger drive since she is running out of space, so I decided to go with Macrium Reflect Free Version. I used it before on my computer to be able do the same thing only it was a m.2 I was upgrading too. So I do the same procedure as I did before but for some reason, I keep getting a start up error that Windows 10 produces and idk why I'm getting it. I'll go through the steps I take below. 1. I installed the program, and I attached my new ssd to my machine of course. The 1st is the main drive (old ssd). The 2nd is my HDD with games installed on it only, and the 3rd is the new SSD. 2. I click on clone this disk, to get a new window 3. I then drag both partitions down to the new ssd. The 1st then the 2nd. I then selected 2 and clicked float right then selected 1 and clicked on fill space, so that I gain the extra room on the ssd. 4. I then select next then finish and let the cloning process start which will take a while. Then I checked my hard drive and it's completely cloned over to the new drive. So this is the part where it gets complicated. I turned my computer, and then to check if it boots up, I selected the new drive (kingston) and it looks like it booted up just fine. So I decided to detach the old drive, and see if it'll boot up. I even went to the bios to see if it would boot up from that drive first. The weird thing is that I had "Boot up from UEFI" or Kingston, which I found strange. So I boot it up and it gives me a start up error. I'm baffled by this and would like some help trying to solve it. I included images to help as well including the system specs.

I just got back from a weeklong holiday and upon returning my PC is refusing to turn on at all. It’s barely even reacting to the power button being pressed. I have a lot of PC builder friends and most of us are stumped by the issue, so i’m posting everything i know here as a last ditch attempt to repair it before I replace the motherboard. I built my PC from scratch about a year and a half ago. Nothing went wrong with the build, pc has never had an issue till now, and all parts are relatively new. Right now, the PC is not reacting at all to me pressing the power button. My motherboard is an Asus ROG motherboard which lights up when it is receiving power - even when the PC is off, which it’s still doing, so i assumed the PSU is still fine and the PC is receiving power. After messing around with it I discovered that after unplugging my capture card i just recently got (elgato hd60s) from the usb port attached to the motherboard, the Motherboard rgb will now flash on and off when the power button is pressed. The power button still works since bridging the pins with a screwdriver makes the mobo react the same way. I’ve replaced the CMOS battery, swapped around the RAM, checked all the cables are seated, etc. And nothing has worked. After fiddling around a little more i also discovered that when the capture card is plugged in, the motherboard rgb isn’t constantly on, it’s pulsating really fast which makes it look like it’s on, but visibly pulsating upon close inspection. The motherboard/pc doesn’t act this way when any other peripherals are plugged in, only starts doing this with the capture card. My specs are: 2070 super mini amd 3500x 16 gb RAM (2x8) Asus ROG strix b450f motherboard psu is a 750W gold rated storage is a 2.5 TB hdd, a 500gb ssd, and two old laptop hdds i salvaged and stuck inside the case. my pc hasn’t been moved recently, and broke while i was away on holiday. It’s plugged into a UPS for surge protection, is reasonably dusty but nothing excessive and has been cleaned a couple times, and when i left for holiday, it was turned off but plugged in and receiving power. I’m aware this is a huge wall of text, but hopefully someone does end up reading it and i’m praying it’s still possible to repair something.
