  2. Hey guys anyone looking to get sell 2 LTT 140mm fans or trade for 2 120mm LTT fans. I want to put them on a 280mm rad. Not sure if this is the right place to post... I didn't see a sell / swap thread. Thanks

  5. So I recently installed a water cooler for my cpu and that's great and all. But now my gpu is getting super hot. Hitting about 60 under pressure and idling at 45. Could this be because I don't have an air cooler on my cpu messing with air flow or what? My GPU is a Gigabye gtx-770 windforce 4gb so with 3 fans, I have no clue why it's getting so hot. My fans are Front- intake Side- intake Back- output Thanks!
  6. The 2014 Moto X will be phased out in the next few months by the new model, appropriately named the 2015 Moto X (most likely that is). At this point in time it’s about 9 months old which is normally forever in the mobile world due to the rapid advances in tech. So what’s it like to use now that it’s fallen behind? What’s it like to use last year’s device? Does it keep up? Let’s start off with the specs, the Moto X features a 5.2 inch 1080p AMOLED display with average color accuracy and overall display performance. Where it really shines is its blacks and greys! AMOLED displays excel in this area due to their ability to actually deactivate the pixels that are black. Each pixel acts as its own backlight so there isn’t any uneven lighting to worry about either. The display doesn’t get super bright but I don’t ever go outside so that doesn’t matter really . Reading at night is really nice because it does get pretty dim while still retaining image detail fairly well in my experience. Powering this display is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SOC with an Adreno 320 GPU which makes for snappy performance during Games and general use. Like I stated before, this review is now a bit out of date but honestly this chip holds its own for the most part considering it’s now 2 generations behind in terms of performance! I mean it seems like just yesterday that Qualcomm released the Snapdragon 805 which has now been dethroned by the Snapdragon 810! But honestly none of that matters, they are just specs on a piece of paper. The way this performs in lollipop is one of the best experiences I have had with a phone, honestly. My daily driver is a Nexus 6 which is currently running Android M. The Nexus is the epitome of Android, Googles shining crown! The Moto X keeps up surprisingly well considering it is behind in every single spec department. Motorola made a smart design choice sticking with a stock Android build for the Moto X (Lollipop 5.0), despite its apparent age it’s as fast as or faster in my experience than many of the new smartphones I have used in recent months including the Galaxy S6 and LG Gflex 2. Granted I haven’t spent nearly as much time with them but they still feel bloated down by their respective skin. Motorola keeps things simple, not unnecessary features constantly bugging you to use or ones that are completely useless. What Motorola does include are things like voice features, and motion gestures that can dismiss a phones call or activate its ambient display to show you quick access notifications which saves battery. Speaking of battery it’s pretty decent in my usage thought your mileage may vary, I tend to get about 5.5-6 hours of screen on time, on Wi-Fi with fairly heavy usage (YouTube, forum/web browsing, phone calls, Reddit!!!) What’s really nice is its standby time, with some tinkering it only drops about 3 percent at night time when I’m not using it! Battery charge time is really fast! It has a 2300 MAH battery that charges to 75 percent in about 45 minutes with the Motorola Turbo Charger. Unfortunately it doesn’t have Wireless charging but that’s not a problem for most people including myself. The way the phone sits in the hand is superior to any phone I have ever used! I owned an HTC One M8 and it set well in the hand but those top and bottom chins made it a bit annoying at times to reach and its metal back and rounded sides made it extremely slippery. The Moto X doesn’t have this issue, it’s curved like the M8 but the screen sets even between the top and button, also on the back is a recessed dimple that makes gripping the phone easier. The metal frame really drives home the quality feel of the phone and the customizable back makes the phone very personal. I only have the default. Nothing fancy, black back but it’s still nice feeling and adds to the grippyness. To wrap things up on my generally long/jumbled review (like most of them are) this phone is fast, built well, feature rich and still very viable despite its age. I would recommend picking one up as I did (well it was free, given to me by a great friend) especially now that Motorola has dropped the price and offering a bundle with its Moto 360 smartwatch. <3 Thoughts?
  7. Hey Linus and team, I do remember seeing one AIO video in specific, and while it was a great video, it sits in a 'playlist' by its lonesome. I was hoping to offer a suggestion in the way of AIO solutions to review and test out. In fact, MSI is expanding into awesome markets, and interests by developing what they claim is the first gaming ready AIO solution named the AG270 2PE. A very sexy name aside, MSI catches my eye with their gaming line of products, an if this product was first of few to be covered by LMG, that would be great! (Hopefully the sexyness of gaming mother boards would be next in line?). AIO's just still seem like they lack the features over building a similar product for a friend like i do, despite major convenience. However when i saw this, i was tempted to question its much larger viability for some people i build for. The specs are nice, and the form factor matches as well. Thanks for the time, if I've posted this in the wrong place, someone freely guide me to the 'video suggestion' area, than you! Hope to see this in an upcoming video if there's room in the 'product to be reviewed stack,' I've also posted this in the general discussion as well, just in case. Thanks! -Brendan Here's a link to their page for the product as well: http://www.msi.com/p...l#hero-overview
  8. So, quite recently, I got the Samsung Galaxy S5 after my valiant S2 died after years of service (lest we forget), and I felt like sharing random stuff with you people about it. Basic Overview: I got the 16GB model with 4G, this comes with a Quad Core processor at 2.5GHZ, and the Snapdragon 801 chipset, and with 2GB of RAM. I cried because this phone is faster than my Surface... Anyway, the phone is IP67 Water Resistant, and comes with a 1080x1920 Super AMOLED screen. And, I got a 64GB microsd card from Kogan to put in it. woop woop Aesthetics and Build Quality: The phone is quite nice to look at, with the odd perforated back, which I have a love/hate relationship with, it's nice and grippy to hold, but horrible looking. The phone is built very solidly, however, the back falls off quite easily when dropped, which breaks the rubber seal that makes it water resistant. The phone has a chromey plastic around the sides, which a flap on the bottom covering the microUSB 3.0 port. Buttons/Ports/Connectivity: The phone has a volume rocker on the right and a lock/power button on the right, both of which are very clicky, it has a home button on the front of the phone, at the bottom, which Samsung has become known for, to the left of the home button, there is a multitasking button, which has replaced the menu button, but if you hold it down it still acts as a menu button, and to the right of the home button, a back button, which does what you expect. Both the back and multitasking buttons are backlit and are on the touch screen, and not physical. The phone has a microUSB 3.0 port on the bottom, but for some unknown reason, Samsung only provides a microUSB 2.0 cable in the box. There is an audio port at the top, and Samsung provides some excellent in-ear headphones with the phone as well. The phone has a STUPID ***** BUCKET FULL OF ****** ON THE ********* BACK *****.. Yes, I meant the phone has a speaker on the back. OH MY GOD SAMSUNG GOD DAMN IT PUT IT IN USEFUL PLACE ARGGHGHHGHGHGHG! The phone has an IR blaster on the top, and the smart remote app does work, and the heart beat sensor is right under the camera, but it's a bit iffy. Internet/4G/Call Quality: The phone has excellent reception, with crystal clear audio when in a call, the wi-fi works fine, but is a bit slow for my tastes, the 4G however... GOD DAMN THAT IS FAST. Everyday Usage: TouchWiz WAS horrible, but they've toned it down alot now, and with enough settings done... like DISABLING MY MAGAZINE DEAR GOD DOES ANYONE USE THAT CRAP!? It provides quite a nice android experience, and is very zippy. Android 4.4.2 KitKat still has Holo Blue, which I hate, even though they said that they'd remove it... oh well. The keyboard that comes with the phone... god damn. It's amazing, with the dedicated number row, and always registers correctly, and comes with Swype functionality, but I STILL DOWNLOADED SWIFTKEY LEL. The phone has a 2800MaH battery, and lasts for a good 2-3 days with normal usage, and probably 1 day with POWER USAAAGE. The screen on this phone... oh... oh yees.... words can not explain how good it is, it may not be 4K like the LG G3, but god damn, this screen just POPS, the screen has great color depth, and is crystal clear, and you can view it at any angle, and the brightness only needs to be at about halfway even in direct sunlight, but at full brightness.... DEAR GOD, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO USE AT FULL BRIGHTNESS. The heart rate sensor does work, but you need to be very still, and it's quite useless to me. The fingerprint reader is a two edged sword, when it works, it works pretty damn well, but when it doesn't... GOD DAMN IT PHONE RECOGNIZE MY FINGER! This can usually be rectified with a damp cloth though, and just a slight wipe then dry on the screen. Oh yeah, it is actually waterproof, very waterproof, i'm completely confident swimming with this phone. Camera: Amazing, just freaking amazing, this phone's camera is 16 Megapixels, and can shoot videos in 4K, and my god, the pictures it takes are AMAZING, and the selective focus works 90% of the time, and comes out beautifully, so this camera is extremely recommended, and proves you don't need some weird 41MP camera on some Windows Phone. Good Phone, 10/10 would steal again.
  9. Some of you may remember my previous post about the new Zenbook Infinity being present at Computex, but nobody was allowed to touch it and we didn't know much about the specs. One thing we did know for sure was that it was very beautiful, probably the best looking notebook at Computex. The guys at Anandtech have managed to get a hands on with a fully functional 13.3" version, featuring a 2560x1440 capacitive touch IPS panel and a Gorilla Glass 3 lid. However it still keeps the radial brushed finish from previous Zenbooks/Transformers on the aluminium underneath the glass. The result looks extremely beautiful from the picture and I bet it looks even better IRL. I hope ASUS has used an oleophobic layer to decrease fingerprints, though. The version they had actually has a dark blue finish on it and the ASUS logo is illuminated. The build quality, trackpad and keyboard felt great on the prototype machine (nice to hear considering how annoying the trackpad on the UX31 can be from experience). A big problem with high resolutions on small displays is that Windows does not scale well at all, as can be seen with the previous Zenbook models featuring a 1080p display, we can only hope Microsoft will fix that in W8.1, which they should considering their major competitor already has a product with similar PPI to this (MBP13" and possibly the MBA 13" at WWDC or later this year). Internally the Zenbook has a Core i7-4558U featuring Intel's Iris 5100 graphics, which should be good for the tasks this notebook is made for (word processing, browsing, video etc.) while also being very power efficient. There is no mention, however of what the expected battery life is. There is no word on when it will be available but Anandtech expects it to be released close to Windows 8.1 launch, hopefully that means the DPI scaling problem will be fixed. Source: http://www.anandtech.com/show/7035/asus-zenbook-infinity-hands-on-with-the-most-beautiful-notebook-at-computex What do you think about this product? If the DPI scaling issues with windows are fixed, do you think you'd be convinced to buy this/something similar? Have you ever seen a sexier notebook? I personally love the UX31, the thinness and lightness really make it a great laptop to carry for school and it performs very smooth during everyday tasks so I can only expect this to be even better. Depending on the price and whether the issues I talked about are fixed, I might consider buying one around Christmas time.
  10. Hello Everyone, I need your help, so I am planning on building a small form factor gaming pc with the following components. I am partial to the gtx 770 but am open to suggestions. I do not play MMO's and would like to run almost any other popular game on a 1920x1080 Monitor on ultra at 40+ fps. My absolute max for this pc is $1500, but I would prefer to keep it around 1400 USD (not including peripherals). I am planning to over clock a little bit, not too heavy though. Here is my parts list (There is link at the bottom to PC Part Picker): CPU: Intel i5-4670k -- I think this is pretty much set in stone. I am open to suggestions, but I like this CPU. GPU: Galaxy GeForce GTX 770 2GB -- I like the GTX 770 and I picked this aftermarket card because it looks sexy in white (Yes I realize you can get other cards like the Asus gtx 770 for cheaper) Again I am open to suggestions, but I think this card will suit my needs well. PSU: Corsair Gaming Series 700 Watt RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16 GB -- I want 16gb 1600mhz ram and I you suggest other ram like crucial ballistix, please explain why you chose it over the vengeance. CPU Cooler: Phanteks U-Type Dual Tower Heat-Sink PH-TC12DX Black -- I love the look and performance of this CPU cooler, but if there is a thinner, high quality case available I will change it to fit the case. Motherboard: Z87 LGA 1150 mATX motherboard -- I am not sure about this choice, if you have a better option please suggest it. Case: Fractal Design Arc Mini -- I am currently using this case because it looks sexy. I would like a smaller case for easier travel though, and would like recommendations as to high quality small and portable cases. I am willing to spend more money on the case if it means better portability and quality. HDD: WD Blue 1 TB 7200 RPM SSD: Samsung 840 Pro Series 128GB Case Fans: Fractal Design Silent Series R2 Fans to match the case -- if I change cases i will likely change fans PC Parts Picker Link: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/26iD6%C2'> As I said I am looking for a case smaller than the arc mini, but still high quality case (hopefully just as sexy as the Fractal Design Cases). I am change CPU cooler and gnu if it will mean a smaller case for better portability. I also don't know about the motherboard so some advice on that would be great. Any advice is appreciated, thanks in advance for your help!
  11. hey guys: has anyone got any suggestions for a case to store these components? for $100 to $150 AUD? http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/644Kt6 THE CASE HAS TO BE ON THIS WEBSITE: http://digitalmatrixcomputers.com.au/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=4
  12. Any "Sexy" case offers ? I plan currently to buy NZXT H440 ( I think of adding custum Bitfenix logo infront of it i like that logo )
  13. So yeah, thoughts on this? Personally, I like the new design, way better than the old Lightning design in my opinion. The small fan in the middle with the old design looked weird to me, this looks a lot better. Only thing that bothers me is that yellow 'OC' around the fans, if it was a complete circle on both of them then it would look a lot better or MSI can supply different coloured rings that you can swap out for it to go with your system colour (even though you won't be able to look at it, still good though). But the best thing about it is that a backplate comes with the card and doesn't have that hideous MSI bulge thing on the back found on the old Lightning design. Can't wait to see the reviews of this card and see how it performs with the other Non-Reference cards on the market right now. But dem base and boost clock speeds tho Looking forward to the overclocking potential of this card and also the temperatures You can find more pictures of the card on the website linked below. 14. Hey guys i am here to ask for a pc build for $1600, i this pc would we my first build, this pc should be a bitfenix prodigy(mini itx build), Nvidia card( i don't want a hot card), liquid cooled like a h90,h80i or 120xl some like that with noctua fans, a good psu for overclocking and easy to route the cable, no OS i have windows 8.1,no peripherals and please suggest a good 23-25 inch monitor for $200 and a motherboard with a great sound so i don't need to by a DAC. thanks for reading.
  15. I couldn't find alot of information on if I need a PCIE SSD drive, or use SATA SSD drives, or perhaps even my controller on the this is my motherboard could even handle my desire for maximum performance? http://ca.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=6027#ov My goal is to never ever see the windows wheel of indecision spinning on my workstation. I've got an i7-6900K processor, 32GB of ram @ 2133Mhz, Samsumg 950 Pro, and a 1070 gigabyte extreme edition on a GA-X99-Ultra Gaming motherboard running windows 10. For some reason it just never seems fast enough, I'd like to find the optimal fastest setup regardless of budget, time, or other factors. I've seen lots of recommendations for Raid 0+1 but would it really be much faster than my setup? I have a Samsung 950 pro SSD 256GB M.2 drive but it never seems truly fast enough. I would like to build the fastest responsive computer ever...attached is a performance measure from the drive. Is raid 0 my next option, and with raid 0 what is the maximum performance x how many possible drives?
  16. So I am going to be making a new build in a couple of weeks but I dont know what case to use. I want something with tempered glass because the main thing is that this thing has to look sexy af. I also don't know what color theme to go with and whether to use water cooling or not. I know that i am gonna get a 1080, 16gb ram and an i7 of some description. Oh and I need a new desk too :)
  17. I wasn't planning on it or anything because I know that it would require quite a bit more that just your run of the mill soldering iron, but i was wondering if anyone has successfully replaced an lga socket on a motherboard?
  18. Is there any way I can upload win 10 32 bit to 64 bit without usb drive? Can an virtual dvd drive be used in anyway?
  19. Guys, I want to buy a good, and warm jacket because the one I´ve been using is getting old. Please post your favorite jackets, if you find a link it would be awesome aswell. If not images will work. The one I´ve been using is tommy hilfiger packable puffy jacket. Its very warm, I use it with -12C with just a thin sweater and it keeps me very warm. This is the jacket: https://www.amazon.com/Tommy-Hilfiger-Mens-Packable-Jacket/dp/B01B41T77U?th=1 I use the water and wind resistent one, and I also had the black nylon one, but feathers are coming out lol. Bought it for 190 dollars if I remember correctly about 2 years ago
  20. Hello everyone, I thought of saving up my money for this case. http://www.ebuyer.com/722849-aerocool-1000-white-midi-tower-gaming-case-acoolcsaero?gclid=CjwKEAiA9om3BRDpzvihsdGnhTwSJAAkSewLCQhfnRH1W4helTvTkjDH3n2RBvnhk3nTGMnw85vfxBoCoKTw_wcB#fo_c=951&fo_k=7c10ca584f443dd33c13e8ee89cdda7e&fo_s=gplauk?mkwid=s_dc&pcrid=51482418059&pkw=&pmt= I currently have a fractal design core 1300 case and I really hate that there are no fan filters. In addition I think that the new case will suit to my white and black desk. So what do you think, should I get the new case for that price or should I wait a bit longer till it comes down in price?
  21. ayy I had a Friend who is going to Bangladesh and he wants to take his AMD Fury X here but I heard you cant take Watercooled Stuff in Planes so Any ideas?
  22. Hey guys, I have a plan in mind, and all the hardware is in my Newegg Cart! here is the specs: Case: NZXT Phantom 530 (White) MOBO: MSI z97 SLI Krait Edition Processor: i5 4690k GPU: EVGA 04G-P4-2983-KR GTX 980 RAM: 2x8 1866 HyperX Fury (White) Power: EVGA 850w SuperNova Gold CPU Cooling: Kraken x61 Monitor: LG 2550x1080p IPS Display using a DisplayPort cable I have a question nagging my brain that is really driving me nuts! Is it best to have the intakes in the front sides and bottom with exhaust on the top and rear? Or can I invert the motherboard and have the radiator blowing out the bottom with a fan intake at the top? Any more recommendations or this build would be sweet, and I will post pictures of the final product on this thread in the next few weeks.
  23. Hello all! So I had a question, and it's pretty straight forward. Any thoughts on the MSI Big Bang motherboard? Any experience, information, pros, or cons? Thanks all
