I'm going to upgrade my 3600 to a 5800x and am wondering if my current CPU cooler, the Scythe Big Shuriken 3, is enough for cooling the 5800x? I would like to avoid having to buy a new cooler if possible, but if it's not enough to cool the 5800x, I can afford to buy an AIO. If I'm going to buy the AIO however, I'll likely need to buy a new PSU with it since an AIO cannot fit in the case I'm currently using alongside an ATX PSU. I'll be gaming at 1080p and my GPU is a RTX2070 and my PSU is a BitFenix 550W gold. Current build I'm using a SSUPD Meshilicious case so it should be well ventilated (all-mesh side panel version). Two exhaust fans in front so case is at negative pressure. If I don't need to upgrade my CPU cooler, likely I'll buy new/better case fans to help with airflow. Any feedback is appreciated

Hello all, I want to finally fulfill my dream to passively cool one of my machines, my plan is to get 2 of these : https://www.amazon.com/Mugen-Rev-CPU-Cooler-Support/dp/B06ZYB8K77 and put them on my cpu and gpu, cpu is very easy, gpu will require bit of work, but that's mostly sorted out. Looking into Fuma 2 also. Would like to get some opinions on my coolers of choice. Are they enough or should I get something else? They will be used without fans, I have a few Noctua fans in my case, but that's it. If things workout I will be looking into changing my already very quiet psu into passive Seasonic psu. Any advice is very welcomed.

Hi guys, So I saw a listing of the Scythe Gentle Typhoon 5,400 RPM 120mm fan. There seems to be other versions of this but with lower RPM, I found it interesting because I've never heard of a 5,400 RPM 120mm fan so I thought of checking it out and some videos of it was really loud. I was just wondering if this fan would be nice for my Cooler Master Hyper 212X. Is it good enough? I wouldn't want it to run the full 5,400 RPM, but I think it has a molex fan header instead of the 3 or 4-pin fan header. The only downside I see is it doesn't have the bling I want, like LEDs and stuff. Just a thought though. Any insights? And out of topic - just want to share this cool insane video I just saw It's sooo crazy.

Hi, Im currently having a doubt between which cpu cooler should I buy for my Ncase. I would like to have the most silent cooler and Im currently between the Scythe Kabuto 3 and the Big Shuriken 3. Needed to be said, with whatever cooler I get I will get the Noctua A15 fan to get the lowest noise and best performance. So which cooler should i get?

Hello, I'm building my first pc, this is what I have (I' ll overclock): -MSI z370 gaming pro carbon -Intel I7 8700k (delid) -Asus RTX 2080 Dual OC -BitFenix whisper M 650W -Intel SSD 660P 1TB -2x 3TB 7200rpm HDD in RAID 1 (so my data it's safe) After some researches I ended up with these four coolers as the best options. I want to aircool since unless you use a 280mm rad air it's better and wayy cheaper. These are the prices in Italy, what would you recommend me and why? -Scythe Fuma rev. B: 55€ -Scythe Mugen 5: 58€ -Scythe Mugen 5 PCGH edition (double fan): 60€ -Noctua NH-D15: 90€ -Noctua NH-D15: 80€ I don't really care about loudness (unless it's like having an helicopter in your case), I care just about cooling performance and price to performance. Thanks for your help!

Hello, I'm building my first pc, my components so far are these (I'm overclocking): -MSI z370 gaming pro carbon -Intel I7 8700k (delid) -Asus RTX 2080 Dual OC I was feeling super confidente in picking the Noctua as my cooler but on another post a guy suggested me the Scythe as he says it has the same performances at a lower price and slimmer profile. Prices in italy: -Noctua NH-D15 90€ -Scythe Fuma 54€ I don't really care if it is a little bit louder if I can spend way less money, I just care about cooling power. What would you suggest me between these two or any other cooler? Thank you!

Hello, In today's morning I started my pc as usual and its said "CPU Fan Error!" and then it redirected me to the BIOS. I haven't done anything unusual the night before. I tried reconnecting the fan from the CPU_FAN port to the CHA_FAN port but had no success, removed the connection at all (I was desperate), re-plugged back to the CPU_FAN but had no sucess . I used this pc for couple years and thats the first time I have a problem with my cooler, also I cleaned my pc from dust about 2 weeks ago, including the cooler so it might be related. unfortunately my pc came pre-built and I am not sure my actual cpu fan model is, all I know is that it is a scythe fan cooler. Other specs: CPU: Intel core i5- 2500, Motherboard: ASUS p8h67-m pro

For quick context, this is my current build that I plan on building anew since my i5 really cannot keep up with my ANSYS simulations, gaming, and streaming. I have it currently overclocked stable at 4.4 GHz and looking to increase my cores and clocks. I have a slight preference to the AMD side since I think they would provide the greatest gain to my needs however open to suggestions. A quick note before clicking my planned AMD build, I do plan on passing down my current to my girlfriend and downsizing the case, so the new case won't be used nor the PSU. I have created a really quick intel build for a possible Intel build instead however again, looking for input on the poll so I can finally decide on a cooler, and any additional input. Thanks for all your help!

Intel's statement: http://www.legitreviews.com/intel-releases-statment-on-bent-skylake-cpus_175944 Scythe statement: http://www.scythe-eu.com/en/support.html CRYORIG's statement: https://www.techpowerup.com/218193/cryorig-posts-official-statement-regarding-skylake-pcb-conerns.html --- Intel is not at fault in this #bendgate, some integrators overtighten the CPU block and coupled with transportation, the CPU's PCB flexed and bent some of the LGA socket's pins as far as I'm aware, all cases involved pre-built systems

http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00G1YXN6M/?tag=pcp0f-21 For those who need one, here's a game of a cooler that is quiet and is of 'better than 212 Evo' tier. http://www.silentpcreview.com/article1391-page6.html http://www.technic3d.com/review/kuehler/1606-scythe-kotetsu/4.htm

I have ordered the fractal design define r5 and i want to keep it quiet, silent but also okay cool and free of dust, i have 6x 120 mm scythe slip stream 800 rpm fans and of course the 2 fractal 140 mm fans, my cpu cooler is a noctua nh-d15, i think i don't need any fans in the side panel since i only have one gpu and at the bottom i don't think i can have one fan because i have a big psu, a evga supernova 1000 p2, have also read it's not making any temperature difference worth the extra noise using a fan at the bottom, i also dont want to use the top (because of the noise) with exhaust fans So how do i best without no noise (many fans) get positive air pressure, use only my scythe slip stream 120mm 800 rpm fans (3 so i can connect them to my mb, asus vii ranger z97) more then 3 fans or use the 2x 140mm fractal fans in the front (intake) and for the rest use my scythe fans or buy a 120mm fratcal fan as an exhaust(same sound,noise....), have a nzxt sentry mix 2 so i can individually control up to 9 fans with different speeds if i want to. So more intake then exhaust fans or exhaust fans at low rpm mabye 300-500 rpm and intake fans a bit higher like 500 rpm or higher?

Hello everybody does anybody here has Scythe Ninja 4 cooler? what temps are you getting? I have i7-4790K CPU and we've got heatwaes currently in Lithuania of up to 35 degrees C, so I bought the new cooler to change my stock cooler. And on idle I get around 40 degrees, the same as with stock cooler, under load it's around 65, which is good. So would be nice to hear other people experience with the particular cooler. Thanks

https://www.dazmode.com/store/product/scythe_gentle_typhoon_2150rpm_69cfm_30db_fan/ You don't need anything else in this post. These are still the best fans in the industry for water cooling in peace and quiet while having every drop of possible performance available to you. Even Noctua and Noiseblocker still can't match the mythical Gentle Typhoon 2150.

Hey guys, I currently use the Mugen 4 on my 3770K OC'd to 4.5GHz running at peak heath of 80°C. Now, I got an NH-D14 for free from a colleague, so I'd like to know from you wether I should stick with the Mugen 4 or replace it with the NH-D14. Thanks for your answers.

I'm curious to see what your opinions on these fans are. I would like to know because I want to run 3 NF-F12's in the front, 2 Gentle typhoons in my h100i, and 1 SP120 in the back (for aesthetics) all in the H440. 3 NF-F12's for the low noise adapters, Y cables, extensions, and those little rubber isolators. 2 Typhoons for rad fans 1 SP120 White for aesthetics Would you recommend any other fans? I was looking at the Silverstone Air Penetrators but I've read that they weren't so great for rad fans. Here would be the list of fans I'm going to buy, 3 Noctua NF-F12 2 Gentle Typhoon AP-14 or AP-15 (Which one should I get?) 1 SP120 Quiet Edition Are Gentle Typhoons really king? (mind you I'm running an H100i in pull)

Hello everyone! I need some advice for air cooling for my AMD FX 8320 3.5Ghz processor. It's my 1st time buying non stock coolers and I'm wondering if these two are any good for overclovking my processor to 4.0 Ghz or maybe even more? Coolers: http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/scythe-tatsumi-cooler.html (30€) http://www.guru3d.com/articles-pages/cpu-cooler-roundup-2013-q1-review,5.html (41€) Thanks in advance!

Hey everyone, I just purchased a Sycthe kq01-bk to quieten down my four AF140's in my Corsair 350D. It did it's job real good and when the PC was under my desk I couldn't hear a thing... But the problem is that my PC sits ON my desk... I could just about hear the fans spinning and knowing myself I would never accept the fact I could have swapped it for another with NO sound at all. And another reason why I'm switching is because this fan controller ranges from 5.6V-12V ( 40% - 100% ) and I need a bit more headroom since I had them all the way down So I found this Lian-Li fan controller that fits into my 3,5" bay just like this one and ranges from 3,7V-12V (20%-100%) giving me the desired level of fan speed and noise. Will this solve my problem with noise ?? Thnx !

Hey everyone, I'm looking for a fan controller for my 3 AF140's and AF120. I picked out the Scythe KQ01 and a LIAN-LI PT-FN . First of all - can these fan controllers control non-PWM fans ? And secondly which is better ?? I really don't care about looks since it will be tucked away in a 3,5" tool less drive bay in my Corsair 350D. I've notice the Lian-Li goes down to 20% the voltage level unlike the Scythe which only goes to 40% Which is better ?? Thnx !
