  1. So I have been having this issue for the past few months. It's a new system not even a year. The problem: My system randomly shutdown either while playing games, doing some editing work or just sitting idle watching YouTube. It's not only random shutdown, sometimes it's just random reboot. Initially it happened (random reboot or shutdown) only if I did any work which required my GPU like gaming or editing but then it suddenly started working absolutely fine without fixing anything for a week or so. Then the problem surfaced again without wany warning. Things I have done to fix this issue: 1) I have already replaced the motherboard once as the whole system is still under warranty. 2) I have already replaced the CPU. 3) I bought UPS as the place I'm living in witnesses extremely amount of power cuts. I have also noticed whenever there's a random shut down or reboot the Ez Debug DRAM LED on my motherboard stays on. This happens in certain occasions only. On the other hand this LED staying on doesn't happen everytime just sometimes. Also when my system shuts down my keyboard lights are still on indicating keyboard is getting detected but my mouse is not. The whole system is running, the fans are working fine but the display goes. Even my problem is inconsistent. Sometimes it's just a shut down, sometimes it's a reboot, sometimes the display goes away but the system is running, sometimes the DRAM LED is on and sometimes it's not (indicating there's nothing wrong with the RAM). Please I really need some help. I know I might have to replace certain parts but whici one ti be exact. The PSU, RAM or the GPU. 2. Pc cannot reboot properly I have a pc with an MSI z87 g43 motherboard and recently got an i7 4790k to use with it. I updated the bios to version 1.8 and it works but the pc is unable to reboot properly. If i try to reboot it, it turns back on and the fans spin but the usb peripherals and monitors receive no signal. I always have to turn the pc completely off and back on again and this is making it difficult to install windows on the pc.
  3. Built my pc 2 years back. Recently facing sudden restart while using the computer. After restart, - CPU light fans and everything else is on - No Monitor signal - After reboot, CPU status led is constantly ON in the MOBO Few things I tried, - Tried swapping ram slots, 1 stick at a time. With a single stick ram, the problem occurs after a long period of running, with dual channel it gives me lesser time, with XMP enabled on dual channel it just doesn't boot , just the CPU light fans on, no monitor signal. - Cleared CMOS battery. didn't solve it. - made the CPU cooler screw a bit loose, didn't solve - All temp and voltage while I am using the computer normally seems fine.. I am facing this problem for about a week. However, not sure if this is relevant, just for additional information , I had always encountered this weird problem of "Pc doesn't start immediately after pressing power button, Specially if I don't unplug the pc from wall after using, next time it won't turn ON immediately" this is a bit ghost problem, sometimes I had this issue, sometimes it would just go away, and later come back if someday I forget to unplug cable from the wall after using it and keep it there for a long time of period. My specs - i5 9600k Gigabyte 9th gen Z390 UD Corsair 8 GB x 2. DDR-4 3200 Bus Vengeance LPX Ram. PSU - Cooler Master MWE 650 W RTX 2060
  4. Searched the web and this forum but haven't found it being asked in quite the same way. When I plug in certain USB devices, my computer will just turn off or reboot. When it turns off, I have to wait for a while before turning it back on (waiting for residual power to drain?) I've tried different USB ports (both case and motherboard sockets), unplugging other devices while plugging in culprit devices, replaced the powerboard, and used different power points. As below, with a powered USB hub, the culprit HDDs work. So far the devices that cause restart are (refer to as culprits): Western Digital 5 TB My Passport portable HDD, Toshiba 4 TB portable HDD (this used to work fine before), Targus powered USB hub (ARC119) WITHOUT power, Sometimes exporting a bunch of images in Lightroom it'll also do the same reboot. What seems to be okay: Toshiba 2 TB portable HDD, Typical USB flash drives, This little Lindy USB SD card reader. The above mentioned USB hub WITH power, and the above culprit portable HDDs work through this powered hub. PC specs below. I've updated the BIOS to the latest and only just updated to Windows 11 (but this issue occurred prior to this update). Windows 11 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Bild 22631). Motherboard: Gigabyte B450 I AORUS PRO WIFI, BIOS F64e. CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3800X, not overclocked. RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2x8 GB) 3200 Mhz CL16 DDR4 (XMP profile is disabled, so it runs at 2133). GPU: MSI Nvidia RTX 2070 Armour. PSU: Coolermaster MWE Gold 650W fully modular. Case: MetallicGear Neo Mini Case Black V2. Primary HDD: Gigabyte GSM2NE3 M.2 NVMe SSD 1 TB. Secondary HDDs: 2x Western Digital Blue 2.5" 2 TB (WD20SPZX). Peripherals if needed: Logitech G604 wireless mouse, Logitech G910 keyboard, Logitech Pro X Wireless headset. Monitors: Acer Predator XB241H, Acer QG241Y. Reside in Melbourne, Australia. In case power standards are a thing? Thanks!
  5. PC started rebooting randomly and under load like two weeks ago and this become worse. I made some of diagnostics and not sure what is culprit: bad CPU or bad motherboard (Thinking VRM). When i load OCCT and running cpu load separately on each core, on core 4 my pc instantly rebooting, but in lighter load (small Block size, normal load on core 4) it can work longer and again reboot. Whea logger writing me 18 event, hierachy error, but after kernel power critical error. Again i disabled memory XMP and CBS in bios to make it stable at just load Windows and do basics. Windows : 10, x64 MEMORY : FURY BEAST (3600 MHZ) 2X16 GB (2 AND 4 SLOT) Mobo : MSI MPG X570 GAMING PLUS CPU : RYZEN 5900X PSU : BE QUIET STRAIGHT POWER 850W GPU : GTX 750 TI (old but not broken) COOLER : BE QUIET DARK ROCK PRO 4 (CPU do not overheat) PC CASE: DEEPCOOL CG540 (Very good air flow)
  6. My new HP laptop keeps rebooting into the HP diagnostics tool (f2) without ever pressing the f2 key, after hard shutdown by pressing the power button and smashing the escape button sometimes gets me into the startup menu from here I can select the boot menu, and boot to windows no problems. How do I stop my laptop from going into the diagnostics tool on every reboot?
  7. Hi everyone, Since installing my new 5600X3D as a drop-in replacement in my system for an old 3600, I've been working to troubleshoot random reboots, most often occurring some time after waking from sleep. I've gone through a crazy amount of troubleshooting steps to remedy the issue and have finally resorted to filing an RMA through AMD. That being said, I wanted to post for a few reasons: First, to get an idea of how many others with the 5600X3D or the 5000 series Ryzen CPUs are experiencing this issue; second, to see if anyone has any last resort steps I can take before sending my CPU back; and third, to help anyone else who might find this post with the same issue. My system specs: Ryzen 5600X3D (the Micro Center exclusive chip released this summer). Gigabyte X570 I Aorus Pro Wifi Rev 1.0 (ITX Board) I've replaced this with a Gigabyte B550 board to try and fix this issue. Now knowing that the old board was fine, I'll likely sell it on the used market. EVGA XC Ultra 2070 Super 32 GB Corsair 3600Mhz 18-22-22-42 low profile memory Corsair SF600M PSU Replaced with Corsair SF750M also to try to fix this issue. I will be keeping this PSU since more power overhead may come in handy with a GPU upgrade down the line. Noctua tower cooler Troubleshooting Attempts: So far, I have (with no avail): Reset BIOS to factory defaults [edit: also updated bios and drivers to latest on Gigabyte website] Disabled C-States in BIOS Enabled low-current power supply loading in BIOS (description claims to help prevent crashing at low loads) Tested system memory [edit: forgot to mention also disabled XMP, still crashed :/] Checked CPU temps (all normal) Checked GPU clock and temps (all normal) Re-seated CPU Switched back to 3600 (I CAN'T recreate the issue with the 3600 installed) Replaced motherboard Replaced power supply Reinstalled Windows fresh from scratch Of these steps, reinstalling windows gave me the most hope. After waking from sleep, it seems to be fine for a while, until suddenly, reboot. Much better than before though, when reboot would happen almost instantly. Event Logs Prior to the reboot, I get a slew of Event ID 19 WHEA-Logger errors: "A corrected hardware error has occurred. Reported by component: Processor Core Error Source: Corrected Machine Check Error Type: Cache Hierarchy Error Processor APIC ID: 0" They're spread out by minutes prior to the reboot, so I'm not sure if they're connected to the problem. I'm not familiar with what this warning means. What is connected to the problem, however is this: Immediately before the critical event is one information event, Kernal Power 125 (86), "ACPI thermal zone \_TZ.UAD0 has been enumerated. _PSV = 290K ... _CRT = 294K _HOT = 293K minimum throttle = 0 _CR3 = 0K" The event viewer log shows a Critical event at the time of reboot: "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly." Kernal-Power, Event ID 41, Task Category (63) Immediately after critical event is another information: "Connectivity state in standby: Disconnected, Reason: NIC compliance" Kernal-Power 172 (203) So, with the steps above not fixing my problem and knowing that the 3600 works totally fine, today I submitted an RMA request through AMD. If anyone has other advice before I send away my CPU, please feel free to comment below! I can also answer any more questions if I haven't addressed it above. Or, if you've had the same problem, let me know! I wouldn't be terribly surprised if this was a known issue on Gigabyte motherboards or with the single batch of CPU's AMD made under this sku. -Chocymilk
  8. Hi All, I have this weird problem that I think need a little bit more technical knowledge of hardware than what I possess. I was hoping to find some ideas to troubleshoot this, and reddit ain't useful these days, particularly with identifiable information. Anyway, here are the details that I have so far. System Info: Attached below. Asus laptop with all AMD. All updates for drivers and windows installed. Symptom: Laptop shuts down like power was disconnected. No blue screen, no errors, just straight shut down like it was initiated by BIOS or power is lost. Video: Occurrence: Happens frequently when playing games, but only in some games. E.g. F1 2022, it happens during loading screen after benchmark or race. In FM, it happens after match end. In Resident Evil 4 remake, it happens when player dies. In other games, there is no issue. E.g. Rocket league, overcooked 2, cities skylines had zero crashes. This happens on both battery and plugged in mode. This started few months ago, but I can't seem to find a solution thus far. Event Log: Seems to only log one error when I turn it back on saying "last shutdown was unexpected". No warning before the shutdown that stood out. Attaching the event log in case I missed something. Troubleshooting steps taken: 1) Verified all updates, all drivers etc. 2) Verified all OS files 3) Ran benchmarks for 2 hours (100% cpu and gpu utilization) 4) Ran overheating and PSU tests for 1 hour each Current Situation: I can run some games just fine, so I am sticking to them. For the games that are crashing, I changed settings and tried that, but no luck. Currently, I am in a position where I can recreate the crash in F1 and FM again and again. It happens exactly when game switches from actual gameplay to menus. If I keep running the same benchmark for 10 laps, no crash, but if I quit after 1 lap or even half a lap, guaranteed crash. So, I can rule out overheating as a potential cause. I am leaning towards some sort of hardware malfunction or some software issue. Problem is that there is no blue screen, so I can't even figure out what is causing this crash. Anyway, I just need ideas on how I can troubleshoot this. If I can even find out what is causing the problem, I can at least find a workaround. I can open the backpanel of the laptop but I don't want to risk going further than that in case I yank a random cable or something. But software wise, I can happily tweak around whatever is suggested as that is something I am super comfortable with. P.S. I created this new account, because youtube uses my real name. 9. I put together a new system with a ryzen 9 5900x and a pro WS x570 ace that had been sitting on a shelf for the past 2.5 years. This board is terrible, I have to restart my system 10 times before it will boot, after then, it will reboot by itself after 0.5-5 minutes (or BSOD), assuming that it will even recognize my boot SSD. I've spent like 15 hours over the past 2 days trying to get the POS to work, installing new PCH drivers, new bios, NADA. So much for being a workstation board when it's got the stability of a family of alcoholics. What do I do?
  10. Intro Hopefully I find the answer to my issue and perhaps maybe it will help others as well who experiences this issue, as I could not find anything on the internet close to my problem. I will post my specs and also what I attempted to do to fix this all the way below. I've tried my very best to troubleshoot this issue, but there's literally no sign of anything wrong anywhere... I even asked repair services near me about this and nobody can help me. The Problem Basically, once every 2 to 4 months, my computer starts freezing up like crazy. Nothing responds anymore. It can occur when I just booted it, but it can also occur late at night before I go to bed. Then, what I do is I shut it down. If it happens in the morning, I just reboot it straight away. When it happens late at night, I go to bed and the next morning I boot it up again. Upon reboot, I see my ASUS logo and the loading dots... then black screen. Basically, I can access the BIOS but nothing else. In the bios, everything seems fine. It sees my hard drive, cpu, ram, etc everything looks good. But now the weird thing is... the more times I reboot, the more I "advance" to booting up Windows. So for example, when you reboot it a few times, I can get to the Troubleshooting screen... screenshot 1 But then what happens is if I click on "Troubleshoot", it would freeze AGAIN. Can't do anything. So I restart the process etc... and over time, the more I restart, it would freeze at the next step. Example: After getting to this (screenshot 1) screen 20 times and freezing, eventually the 21st (random number btw) time I can get pass it. So now I'm in the advanced options (screenshot 2). screenshot 2 Then same thing, it freezes. After 100 more attempts, I eventually manage to boot in safe mode. By that time, it took around 2 hours of simply rebooting back again. In safe mode, same thing, it would get stuck. Eventually, I can get through. Once I'm in safemode on the user login screen, everything is unresponsive. Keyboard, mouse, freezing like crazy. After rebooting times and times again... (probably at 3-4 hours mark by then), I can eventually log in safe mode. Once I'm logged in safemode, I reboot my computer and everything is perfectly normal like nothing ever happened. All it takes is rebooting... a lot of rebooting. No matter what I do, nothing works. Only rebooting does. What I tried - Unplugging every single device from my computer (USBs, mouse, keyboard, headphones, etc...) - Once I eventually get to windows, I run these commands "sfc /scannow", "chkdsk", "DISM" and everything is fine. - Also ran memtest64, everything is fine. - Event Viewer in Windows gives me a bunch of critical error but these are all the same and doesn't say anything ("Task Scheduling Error: Continuously busy for more than a second" and "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first" and things about the system being slow & freezing for unexpected reasons). - Unplugging the computer completely for a minute and reboot it again. I also tried to boot from my USB drive to see if it worked, but I always ended up booting on my nvme instead, even though I specifically selected the USB drive in the bios, and by the time I did that anyways it was already too late. Thoughts At this point, I suspect either Windows 10 failing on me, or my nvme to be failing for some odd reason. In the case of Windows 10, I don't know why rebooting it doesn't fix the freezing, perhaps windows 10 is able to keep some state/data running even though my computer has no power? In the case of the nvme, usually if it was the nvme it wouldnt happen once every 2-4 months. It would be more regularly and I'd even say it wouldn't be booting at all. It's annoying because since it happens so "rarely", it's very difficult to troubleshoot accordingly. 11. Hello, My problem is when I go to reboot, the CPU stops responding during the hardware check, and the motherboard throws a 00 code, and the CPU LED is on. Also, it gets stuck there until I perform a hard shutdown. The temporary solution is, after the hard shutdown, to start the computer normally with the power button. In other words, I can't reboot the computer through Windows. My system (no overclock): -ASUS Maximus VI impact Z87 ITX -intel i7-4790k 4.0GHz -2x8 G.SKILL GGRD3-2400 11-13-13-31 -ASUS Turbo GeForce GTX 1060 6GB -SilverStone 450w power supply -PNY 240GB SSD and 5TB HDD What I have tried: -any configuration of RAM cards. Including swapping for a different par. No effect. -removing GPU. No effect. -then swapping CPU with a new/old stock Intel Pentium G3220 3.0GHz. This solved the problem. I think I already know the solution, but I am not ready to accept it yet. I mean, I am using this computer with the i7 to wright this post, and I don't want to spend the money on a new CPU. I'm hoping someone out there might have an idea of what I can do to fix this or point me to a tech that could know. Any input will be appreciated.
  12. My computer has been acting very weird for the past few weeks. It started to restart randomly - regardless of whether it is doing browsing or playing games. There are also no BSODs shown. I have a dual boot system (Windows 10 + openSUSE TW) and the same issue happens in both. I tried with a different GPU (GT 1030), still the same issue. I also ran MemTest86 Free and it passed all tests. I turned off XMP, still the same issue. Thinking it is a PSU problem, I took the PC to the repair shop, where weirdly it showed no signs of problems at all. I ran 30 min Power OCCT test, it showed no issues whatsoever. At home, the PC restarts at the 2-3 minute mark. I thought maybe something is wrong with the wall socket/surge protector/power cable. So, I returned, and connected my brother's PC power cable to mine. The same issue occured again. I tried it in different room, from my brother's and mine's, and still the same issue occurs. Note that my brother's PC has no issues absolutely. I do not know what to make out of this. Please help. PC Specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600. 13. Hi ! Sorry for my bad englando. I have a huge problem with my pc and I can't find a solution. Before and foremost, here are my pc specs : AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Eight-Core Processor Asus TUF B450-PLUS GAMING EVGA RTX 3080 16 GO ram 3200 MHz (but due to crashes with the Ryzen, downed to 27xxMhz) PSU : Seasonic Focus Plus 750W Gold I don't know if I have to detail the models of the disk : 1 m.2 SSD 1 "regular" SSD 2 hard disk I have 3 screens : 2x 1080P and one 1440p (Maybe 3 screens is the problem but my brother with a Sapphire nitro + 6800XT) So, here's what happen when I launch a game : Let's say I launch a game like Hell Let Loose or Red Dead Redemption 2, I launch it, I load the game and then the pc shuts down and don't reboot. I can't reboot it either. To reboot it, I have to : -Switch the PSU to off position -Press the start button until the motherboard's RGB light turn off -Switch the PSU to on position And then I can boot it up. I don't know what can cause that. I don't think the PSU is defective, it's 3 years old. For the PSU, I calculated with the BEQUIET website, I don't know if it's accurate but here is the result : Temperature is fine, between 70-80 cause my case has a bad airflow. Both GPU and CPU temperature is normal. I don't think there's a short-circuit. GPU load is not even at 50% when launching Valorant yet it crashes. Here are a list of games I can't launch : Valorant Minecraft with shaders Hell let loose Red Dead Redemption So I don't know what to do but to ask for help on the Glorious LTT Forum. Thank you very much for reading that. Cheers
  14. Hi, I plugged in my USB stick into my computer and it restarted it. Once it loaded it wasn't showing up even if I took it out and back in. I then put it in my laptop and I could then see it and I then could open stuff inside, thinking it was all good I put it back in my main pc but got nothing, not even the light showed on the USB stick, I went back to the laptop and then got nothing again. I have tried other USB sticks and they still work. When I touch the USB when I plug it in it gets warm still but there is still no light or sign of it on my computer (disk manager, device manager etc). Its like it stopped working, then worked, then just stopped working again. I am going to try some more machines in the morning, any help would be nice (if there is any to give). Is this stick dead, it isn't that old and it is one of my favourites.
  15. PC restarts/wakes up whenever I press shut down/sleep. This problem is fixed when I remove my keyboard.. Also, the problem is solved if I press shut down/sleep immediately after it has rebooted. I've tried many things but in vain. Can anyone help me out?
  16. Hi everyone, rookie here. I kind of have a prob, here's what I know - I switched to an nvme storage and suddenly, my computer started to make error beeps at boot and then reboot and it's good to go. It doesn't occure every time though, most of the time it boots just fine. - I don't think it's ssd related because beeps are 1 long + 2 shorts, I checked and apparently it is a graphics error code. - I started having some crashes after long sessions of gaming. I took out my GPU and put it back, didn't quite solve the problem. After investigation, it has occured to me that it could potentially be a PSU issue: my PSU is 6 years-ish old and maybe it is starting failing. Therefore it could fail providing power during high loads such as boot or long gaming sessions. Might be wrong though. There it is guys, it's a long post but I hope you can help, maybe you had similar experiences or suggestions about what it could be ? Thanks a lot
  17. Hi thank you all for taking your time to reading this and helping me to solve this issue. Recently this week my PC has been crashing. My PC would just crash to a black screen, motherboard running fine after the crash, but in order for me to turn it back on I have to turn off my PSU switch and turn it back on before I can turn my PC on. I went to the event viewer and saw a critical message ( Event ID 41 ) “ The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly “ So far I manage to stress test my CPU GPU, both the temperature was normal and working well. I used memtester86 to test my RAM, both RAM sticks were working fine with no error. However something I notice was that when I set my RAM to 3200Mhz, the bios would boot and once it reaches the loading screen before going into windows my PC would crash. But when the memory speed was set to 2133Mhz, windows would boot up. I tried installing new drivers for both windows and Nvidia it didn’t work. I use older version of those drivers that didn’t causes me any issue before and it didn’t work as well. I reconnected my cables connecting to the power supply and it still causes crashes. I hard reset my PC twice, and change my windows version to windows 1903 and update my nvidia driver to the second latest driver. Remove Drivers Audio and Graphics using Guru3D DDU. Did it for all Nvidia, AMD, Intel just to be sure. Reinstall the latest Nvidia Drivers still crashes. Turning off the power supply after crashes for a while allows me to use the computer for a while longer before crashing again. In order for me to restart have to turn off PSU power, then turning it back on before I can start my Computer. Running my PC also will cause the computer to crash. Even in safe mode for 1 instance. I tried everything I could to my best abilities nothing is working. I hope someone has a solution for me to fix this issue. Your help will be greatly appreciated ! 18. Hey, Thanks for stopping by! Last Saturday (30 Januari 2021) i was playing some Horizon Zero Dawn (Installed on 2x8TB HDD Microsoft Raid 0).and during a mission my PC shut down (instantly) and rebooted. after loading the game back up and continuing from the checkpoint, reaching the same spot my PC shut down again and rebooted. on the 3rd reboot i turned off all other programs and software and tried again. same problem same spot. - I looked at the logs; Kernel Power Event 41. I also noticed it happened a lot at weird times. i never noticed reboots prior. - So i did a Steam integrity check on the game. same problem same spot. Moved the game to a 120GB SSD (i have a hot swap bay) and another Steam integrity check. now i could continue. problem solved; right? No... 1 februari I was Playing FrostPunk. At a given time, i get the same problem. Load the game back up, start from my last savepoint and a bit later it crashes around the same time (ingame day) It was late (the 2 crashes at 01:20 and 02:05) so i decided to go to bed Yesterday (2 Februari) i was Playing FrostPunk Again. at 21:51 My PC did the same. no warning. just poof and reboot. then changed the outlets. moved the PC cable directly into the wallsocket and take down the 5.2GHz overclock back to "AUTO" (4.7 GHz) then started FrustPunk again and at the same point in the game, the PC crashed again. I was done... after the reboot, i put my 3D printer to work (Artillery SideWinder X1 v4 connected over USB with Repetier-Host) and watched some netflix. Fell asleep at some point and this morning my PC was still doing fine. I did a NVIDIA Driver Update from 460.89 to 461.40. but i haven't played after the update was complete yet (as I didn't want to risk rebooting and stopping the 3D printer halfway through). I had no issues running Cinebench R23 for 60 minutes. ( I am going to play now, so ill edit when I found more Issues or solves) My PC and it's specs are kept up-to-date on Builds.GG; https://builds.gg/builds/msi-ultimate-17152 A screenshot from Windows Logs and DxDiag are attatched. 19. Basically it all started around April 3rd, Just enjoying some games, and my computer monitors went black, my keyboard and mouse rgb turned off and my pc rebooted, I instantly thought my power supply went bad, so I ordered a replacement (EVGA g3 750w) it has now been a week, The power supply has been in for 4 days, and the issue is still present, I am unsure of what's causing it, It happens when I run most games that require a bit of power to run (Cyberpunk, Overwatch, Counter-Strike, Fallout 4) and I am completely lost on things to do. Ive had people tell me its software issues, my GPU is going bad, my motherboard has an issue. Ive downgraded most updates that i've had in the past weeks and nothing has changed, I might just factory reset my pc just to see if it fixes it. Furmark basically has been my best source to show off the issue, when you run Furmark, it instantly crashes my pc. Im able to do basic tasks, like work on coding project, open zoom and play the binding of issac, but nothing more than that. Im pretty sure its not a thermals issue, because the amount of fan in my pc is kinda overkill, and temps are mostly normal, they range from like 34-40 at idle, and 70-80 at max load. Im compleatly stumped to what could be causing this issue, ive tested everything I could have, Ive even went as far as updating the bios, to no avail. So I Leave this issue to you helpful people, in hopes that you guys (who are much smarter than me) can give me solutions or tips to either figure out the problem or solve it. 20. Hello everyone, I've been having a really really annoying issue lately where RL reboots my whole PC everytime I play the game, I can play a ranked game or two and then poof it reboots without any error message. Here's what I've done so far : - Reseated the RAM - Reseated and clean uninstalled GPU with DDU then reinstalled everything - Cleared the game cache - Reinstalled the game on same drive AND on different drive - Verified integrity of game files on Steam - Cancelled any static build-up in the PC by pressing the power button while everything un-plugged. - Used DISM and SFC to no effect - Clean Uninstalled any third party software (Corsair iCUE, Bakkesmod (a mod for rocket league)) I contacted support but after two weeks of back and forth they were of no help whatsoever. I've done all my update except for one AMD Graphics update in Windows Update which locks the software making it unusable. (I did the update before and it didn't help my problem either ) I'm starting to think that they're is a problem with my PSU but my 650W 80+ Bronze Seasonic PSU should easily do the trick for a R3 3100 + 5500XT, and other games have no issue (Apex Legends --> more demanding) other than one crash after sleep in Portal 1. Please help me Fliiiou. DxDiag.txt
  21. So like most of us we are running old rigs due to this gpu fiasco.... Anyways I upgraded my water cooling to Nzxt z73 and added WD_Black 1TB SN750 NVMe Internal Gaming SSD Solid State Drive with Heatsink. I also did a clean install of windows 10 pro and updated my bios. My system: Motherboard:: Asus x99 Memory:: CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 32GB (8x4GB) DDR4 DRAM 2400MHz Memory Kit - Black GPU:: Nvidia GTX 980 4GB SLI x2 CPU:: Intel i7-5830k Six Core 3.30Ghz LGA2011-V3 So now my system when turned on first time will look like it boots... Gets stuck. Then I do quick reboot and then it boots up to windows. It works fine, however it's annoying to do the reboot. Any thoughts on what could have gone wrong? Please help end this ring of hell.
  22. Hello, I purchased the new Battlefield 2042 and saw that my CPU was always at 100% usage and my GPU(GTX 1071ti) only around 35% usage. So I decided it was time to change the CPU and some other parts. I put my new parts together today and when I start Battlefield 2042, I get to the menu my Pc restarts right away. It used to work with my old parts. I tried BF5 and I'm not having the issue, I can get to the menu. I will try to play BF5 tomorrow to see if something happens. When I start Battlefield I get to the menu and my PC reboots. When I had my old CPU, motherboard, RAM and SSD I was able to play no problem. You can see my old parts on my LTT profile. My new parts are the following: - Ryzen 7 5800x - G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz CL16 Dual Channel Desktop Memory Kit (F4-3200C16D-16GVKB) - ASUS ROG Strix B550-F Gaming AMD AM4 (3rd Gen Ryzen) ATX gaming motherboard - WD Black SN750SE 1TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe M.2 2280 Read:3600MB/s,Write: 2830MB/s SSD (WDS100T1B0E) I check my temps of my CPU and GPU and everything is fine. I did a stress test with AIDA on my CPU and at 100% it gets to max 65c. Also did a stress test on my GPU and it doesn't get higher than before (Around 63c). I after stress test the CPU and GPU at the same time and everything is fine no crash and good temps. Nothing is overclocked for now, didn't change anything in the BIOS either. My GPU driver is also up to date. I told my self it's probably not that the game is not installed properly because it reboots the whole computer and not just the actual game. I don't think it's my PSU (EVGA SuperNOVA G2 750W 80 Plus Gold) that's not strong enough, unless I'm mistaken. I don't think my new motherboard and CPU pull that much more power than my old ones. It really sucks, really wanted to test this new setup with Battlefield 2042. If you have any questions feel free to ask me. Hopefully someone can help me with this. Thanks in advance guys!
  23. Hello, First of all, excuse the long post. I have a new build with the following specs: i9 11900K 64GB DDR-4 RTX 3090 1 TB SSD 2TB HDD PSU: 1050w, 850w, 1200w The issue I have with this machine is that it randomly reboots at any given time; gaming, mining, or simply browsing. However, most reboots happen within a few minutes (up to a few hours) when mining. Please note the following: Replaced the PSU with an Asus Rog 1000w Switched to an open air case (Coolermaster Master Frame) hoping temps would be the issue (temps dropped on average of 10c) No overclocking I tried mining with other software running, or no running at all (CPU mining was off) GPU-Z shows normal temps (62c at full GPU load, CPU around 50c) Today I'm replacing the PSU with an Asus ROG Thor 1200w PSU - I think all wattage readings from GPU-Z were totaling up to 950/1000w (I'm not sure if this is the right way of calculating it) GPU is connected via 2 PCIe cables CPU is liquid cooled (pump, radiator) I'm starting to think that the issue is from the power extension since I've got 3 extensions connected to each other with lots of device hooked up. And they're not the best brands of extensions. Any suggestions?
  24. Hello, I have a problem which only occurs during a gameplay......all I get is a random black screen & a reboot. Sometimes after 1 min, or 10mins or 2 hours. There's no blue screen or any error code whatsoever. I did a stress test on CPU & GPU without any issues, also a mem test, without any trouble. I have all the latest updates. 25. After what seems like ages I've finally managed to get my hands on a ROG STRIX 3080 OC (got it as a bundle). After fitting it in my case and being amazed by the performance over my previous RX 580 I decided to put up Forza Horizon 5 and cranked everything up to max. This worked and looked great running at 60+ fps but I am randomly getting some restarts after playing for a while. Card is supplied by 3 direct cables to my Corsair RMX 750 PSU. Since the recommended PSU is 850w (and considering that the RX 580 worked fine) this is my primary suspect. Is there a way to limit the max power draw (at the cost of performance) or would you just get a new 850W+ PSU? Specs as follows: AMD Ryzen 5600x ROG Strix B550-A Gaming ROG Strix 3080 OC (v2) Corsair Vengeance 32GB RAM Samsung EVO 970 1 TB SSD Corsair RMX 750 Windows 10 Thanks for your help.
