Summary Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Extraction comes out January 20 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, Amazon Luna, Stadia, and the Ubisoft Store on PC, as well as via Ubisoft+. The game is $39.99 for base game that includes a 14 day buddy pass for two friends. The game is notably absent from Steam. My thoughts While no specific reason for the absence from steam has been given, it could be assumed Ubisoft is planning on including NFTs in the game. Other options could be that they don't want to pay steams fee or they can't implement the buddy system with steam. Hello, I have got Rainbow 6 in steam and I have been downloading the recently released season update which is Void Edge from my off-peak data quota set by the ISP. The total update size is 66 GB, I started the download on the 26th last month, downloaded around 35 GB. I went back to steam to resume the update last night from the off-peak data and noticed that the download has gone back to 0 and is starting all over. I paused it because there's no way im downloading this from the beginning. I did a bit of searching and found out that these kind of issues happen with steam when another game update comes at the same time ur downloading one. There were few suggestions to fix the issue, such as restart steam, restart the PC, clear download cache and integrity checking. I also tried copying the files in the downloads folder of steam to another drive > stopped the update> restarted it > paused and quit steam > replaced the new files with the ones I copied to the other drive> started steam again hoping it to detect the files and resume the download from 35GB but nope. None of these worked. It would be very helpful if someone could help me fix to this as downloading 66gb in our country is insane, its going to take me like 2 months worth of data to do it. And what if this same BS happen again, I would have to kill myself. Thank you for your time.

I started downloading R6S after ragequitting a few weeks ago (because I suck at it) and went on to youtube and just put in "pro bf3" and watched the first video that I found. I started wondering, why are there no "modern" shooters. Like the ones with REAL guns, like M4s, AKs and Berettas and all that shit. Only a few like that are popular, such as CSGO and Rainbow Six Siege. I guess you could call MW3 popular too, but it's also an old game. There are no new titles really. It's all about BF1 and Infinite Warfare that people are talking about. Am I really the only one that wants a Bad Company 2 remake? Wasn't that an amazing game? Because Sci-Fi genre doesn't seem that popular anymore. I'd seriously love to get back into BF3 or Bad Company 2, feel the nostalgia. But everyone is just playing Battlefield 1 and Counter-Strike.

my game crashes at startup, it's just like screen become black for a moment and immediately disappear. the app process dead and no crash report. seems like i never run it. i have tried re install, compatibility, administrator, disable ingame overlay and cloud save crap, nothing works. what should i do now?

Hey there interwebs, so I'm at a loss when it comes to problem-solving my Gigabyte GTX 970. The rest of my build can be seen here. Whenever I try to play games (the main offenders are the games in the tags) I receive an aggravating error. The most frequent (as well as the most annoying) is the Error: 0x887A0006 - 'HUNG' Device being lost. Unreal Engine is exiting. Epic Games claims to have remedied the issue with the Unreal Engine in this post. People have claimed that the Engine will exit if you have an overclocked graphics card (which I have done in the past) but even when I downclock it, the issue still happens. The only temporary solution I have found is to run any game I play on ultra low settings and trying to boot the game up through the GeForce Experience Launcher. However, that is incredibly stupid to have to do because although a GTX 970 isn't by any means new, running a game on low settings like I'm back in 2005 grinds my gears. The worst offender of the D3D Error is Ark: Survival Evolved (maybe because the devs suck, optimization: WHATS THAT?!?!?!) but it also affects Foxhole, Cities Skylines, and Stellaris with consistent and annoying frequency. Does anyone else have this problem? Have you found a way to fix this problem? Is there a permanent solution (other than burning my computer to the ground)? Is it because I have Team Red (CPU/Motherboard) and Team Blue (GPU) trying to work together?

Hello, I am making this thread because I am experiencing low FPS in R6 (Rainbow Six Siege). Before hand I had an 8700k and a 1080ti then I got the cpu bug (where the game throttles your cpu to 100% usage) so I decided to upgrade. Now I have the 9900k and 1080ti and I still get the same frame rate as before with the 8700k. On average I get around 180 sometimes 150 to 140 FPS. I no longer have the cpu bug, but getting frames like that while using a 240hz monitor is unacceptable for me. I play on all low besides my shadows being on medium and my LOD being on very high. Nothing is overclocked and I even reinstalled windows thinking it may have been the issue. No change, any help? Thank you in advanced. Since the 16th of febuary i've been experiencing this issue in Rainbow 6 siege (and in other games but mainly in siege), where my GPU's no_load_limit turns on and usage drops to 0%. My fps drops to 0 and ping shoots up in the hundreds because my game is not answering the server. What i've tried to fix this so far. Lowering my settings. Deleting the gamesettings.ini. Deleting gamefiles and cleaning the registry, with ccleaner and manually. Clean booting. Running the game on a fresh windows install with only geforce experience, steam, uplay and rainbow 6 innstalled. Reseating GPU. Running the game with vsync at 59hz (did work for a bit but the problem came back), which is a shitty console fps these days. Loading old drivers. Cleaninstalling drivers. Ubisoft support has been unable to help me, and basically told me to go fuck myself. Giving my GPU to a buddy with a similar system - 1 ryzen gen and a 1080 instead of 2080. Before I updated to the recent Nvidia Drivers, my PC crashed about 8 times, (yes I counted) and on the BSOD, gave me the error code “VIDEO SCHEDULER INTERNAL ERROR” and gave me no other information. I proceeded to update to the newest drivers, and after I did, my PC did NOT want to run games, or ran them poorly. As I started Rainbow 6 Seige, the game proceeded to run at 2 FPS, and I normally run on 120-160 frames consistently. When I tried to open CSGO, I got the message, “Update Microsoft Render Driver” I uninstalled my drivers and updated them once more and that hasn’t fixed the issue. Please help ASAP!

RIG SPECS: - AMD A10 Black Edition 4.10Ghz - 8GB Ram - GTX 1070 Palit Version - Windows 10 OS (latest version) - Nvidia Driver (latest version) - Approx. 2 Year Old PC So a year ago, my PC used to run GTA V on nearly the highest of settings fine, and it would load a bit when I travel by car really fast. Fast forward to today, I reinstalled GTA V fresh from steam, now here's what happens: - Every time I drive in the city, my computer freezes and requires a hard reset just to function properly again. (lowest settings enabled) - When I walk around however and stay in the immediate vicinity, I get upwards of 62-74FPS. (HIGHEST settings enabled) - When I try to run a benchmark test, no matter what, it freezes after the Vinewood sign test. (lowest & highest settings enabled) PS: I don't know if its related but I can run Rainbow 6 Siege on the absolute highest settings with 67-82FPS EXCEPT on textures which I can only keep on high, anything higher and when I enter a lobby then load the match, I just crash. Any advice other than "upgrade the [insert hardware here]", again because it used to run fine, and the rig is only 2 years old. Thanks in advance!

Hello all! I've been trying to set up streaming for a while and have been dealing with SEVERE frame drops in game when doing so. Here's some system info: Corsair CX650M 650 Watt Power Supply Asus Z-170A Motherboard Intel i770K CPU EVGA GTX 1070 Superclocked 8 GB's of GSkill HyperX DDR4 2133 MHZ My upload is about 8-9 mbps and I'm hardwired to the router. The games I want to stream are mainly Rainbow Six Seige and PUBG, but I usually drop from 110 FPS to an EXTREMELY shaky and unstable 60 FPS. I've tried outputting at 1080p and 720p, as well as 30 and 60 FPS. No dice on either of those. I'm at a loss here. Any ideas?

so i play rainbow six and my accuracy sucks. Somone told me i should have a gaming mouse not a regular mouse for better accuracy because of dpi or something. Is their any validity to this?

Rainbow Six Siege does not use the dongle/DAC that comes with the HyperX Cloud 2. Therefor the microphone volume for Rainbow Six Siege is very low. I tested this when I went in CS GO had a friend listen to me. I could adjust my Mic volume with the dongle and he could hear me perfectly. However, when I jumped into a game of Rainbow Six Siege, he could not hear me at all. I tried adjusting my Mic volume with the dongle and it did not make a difference. I have all of the in game settings turned to 100 and still the same results for Rainbow Six Siege. The worst part is that HyperX is selling this headset with the game.

Just updating my NVidia drivers and noticed this pop up. It's guaranteed access to Rainbow Six: Siege closed beta keys. Not sure if you actually have to have an NVidia card for this to work or not, just that it's being run by NVidia.

First of all all those games in the bundle have Uplay DRM, I mean to say they're activated on Uplay and will be launched and played through the Uplay client only. https://www.humblebundle.com/ Why is it that I can't find the original Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon or Rainbow Six 3 listed in the Uplay Store after doing searches? If these games are available through Uplay, why doesn't their store search bring them up? Wouldn't that mean the only way to get these games through Uplay is through this bundle in the first place? I found the Original Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six 3 listed on Steam, but not the original Rainbow Six. I'm confused to why you can't even find these classic games through the Uplay store, yet they're in the bundle. You look up Rainbow Six 3 or Ghost Recon, then the newer games and addons crowd the search results, you look through to see if it's buried, then you can't find it.

Benchmarks were all done with the in game benchmark tool. I'd also like to add that it is not at all CPU bound, my CPU usage sat around 50%. PC: CPU: i7-4790k @ 4.6ghz Mother Board: MSI Z97S SLI KRAIT EDITION RAM: 16gb @ 1866ghz GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 970 SSC ACX 2.0 @ 1529ghz Graph: Settings: Everything max for 4gb cards, there are "Ultra" textures but a 6gb card is required for it. So basically I am trying to run the original rainbow six on an AMD card. It's a known issue it doesn't work too well but apparently there are some work arounds. Anyone have any ideas what to do? When I launch I just get a black screen with a mouse, and if i click I simply crash it completely and it says "re-install or restart" which I have done multiple times now. Specs in sig and I've already tried installing an older direct X to no avail.
