#DeathNotes **Badumti...*BOOM* * Well , it finally done did it, but not from a product series you expected it to happen, recently it was reported that a Samsung Note 4 that was purchased by the owner last year, which had no problems up until this last week exploded while charging, This one severely affecting & somewhat permanently scarring a little girls face, Earlier events that were prominent with the Note 7 had happened without much of a damage that was a direct threat to any person or this severe & this event happened in the worst way, According to the translated report from the original news site , The owner 9th of March set his phone to charge overnight near the bed plugged in to the wall charger where their little girl was sleeping & according to the parents statement the child was sleeping in the far other end/corner of the bed & they went to sleep & later woke up to the noise of the child's cry , upon approaching finding out that the phone had blown up & had left a slightly chaotic scene burning the bedding side and unfortunately their daughter’s face. i checked the specs on the phone & According to gsmarena the phone packs in a 3220 mAh battery Removable , with that much of a capacity packs a pretty awful punch when/if it goes off , since the phone is this much used for near a one year period we have to assume it's not a manufacturing issue out of the box, either the battery gone bad & started to swell up & owner didn't notice & kept using it anyways , Details are limited on this at the moment , Maybe some form of electrical shortening cause the power adapter to do something , maybe a counterfeit lowcost battery or a charger was used that caused it to overheat & explode Injury Image : (Slightly graphic images) The actual extent of the burn was not reported , 1st or 2nd degree from the looks of it aftermath image of the device "Feng Lingling's wife said that now, her daughter every night will call the pain, simply can not sleep, at the same time, because the mouth was burned, she can not even eat anything, every day can only drink a little water. Last Years Note 7 had a severe problem with the batter overheating & completely damaging the phone while charging. The problem turned out to be quick hustle in manufacturing the battery & flooding it to the market for the company profit & it hit them back severely , even making the phone into somewhat of a no fly list category because of its potential to do harm , The company has then implemented an improved security checkup protocol to the phones safety. SamsungsBrandsareonFiyaaah! & So in conclusion , do regularly check weather your battery has any form of deformity & other issues , try to replace them in a respectable amount of time after the warranty period is done with & post your thoughts on this down below, was it the parents fault for leaving a phone plugged in at a very close proximity to their child? or was ti the manufacturers fault? Other similar events with the same model of Samsung's note were reported , but those were pretty rare >> Below is the image reported by a man in Michigan last year , One reported from Pakistan Souce: (WWCF & Wccf linked source , yes i know ) That is the only source afaik http://wccftech.com/samsung-galaxy-note-4-explodes-5-year-girl-burnt/ http://www.guancha.cn/society/2017_03_10_398190.shtml http://shanghaiist.com/2017/03/14/samsung_explodes_girls_face.php Last link courtesy of forum member : Djole123

Hello everyone, Can somebody recommend me some good in-ear headphones for Note 4? I'm looking for some crispy + bass sound that would cost less then 50$. The thing is that not all headphones are the same, some good headphones might be good on Iphone but and bad for my Note 4. The ones that came with the phone pretty lame.

So... I opened my WhatsApp on my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 only to see the weirdest bug I've ever seen. It was showing me that I was apparently living in 2054. Also, apparently one of my friends had seen a message in 1924. I checked the calendar and the dates were fine over there, I restarted the device and it still didn't change. Could this be a virus, is anyone else experiencing this and is there any way to fix this?

So every so often I have this glitch with my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 where my draw pattern is suddenly, according to the phone, the wrong pass code and locks me out for 30 seconds before I can use my pin code to get back in. Then the phone forces me to create a new pass drawing code. What I don't understand is why this happens. Is the phone getting corrupted somehow? I am running Android 6.0.1 and it's on the T-Mobile network. Base version is N910T3UVS2EPG2. Kernal version is 3.10.40-7804088 and build version is MMB29M.N910T3UVS2EPG2 If anyone could please explain this to me that would be great. Also I really DON'T want to reset my phone either if I can help it.

So the s7 edge has a back camera that has 12 MP while the Note 4 has a back camera 16 MP. How is the S7 be called the "best camera smartphone," when there is a 4 MP difference?

Whenever I record a video on my Galaxy Note 4, it looks compressed as all hell after I import it to my computer. This happens no matter what resolution I record in. Is there any way to make it look better? I get that phone cameras are far from being the highest-quality, but there has to be some way to reduce the graininess of the shot.

Can someone help me get rid of this notification? I don't want to upgrade my Note 4 (Verizon) to Lollipop. I did it once and downgraded back to KitKat because Lollipop destroyed my battery life. Now this is nagging me every time I go back to my home screen. Does anyone know how to get rid of it or to get it to stop asking? Thank you in advance for your help.

Got the Note 4 when it first came out. Recently, within the last month maybe, it's been trying to update new software. So it downloads and everything is fine, it will restart and install. But something keeps happening, because every time it tries to install it restarts and says it failed installing. Then I have to wait 24 hours to reinstall the update and try again. The same thing has happened at least five times. It's getting really frustrating and I was wondering if anyone else knew of a solution before I factory reset. Yes it is fully charged before I try to install and no I haven't done anything to alter the software like root the device.

Hey Everyone, I am new to android and linux, personally i dont use my phone for anything other than calls or games, however my wife does a lot. recently the lollipop update was pushed to her Note 4 (T-mobile US branded) and it wiped out all of her app data as well as her entire SD card. My question is in 2 parts. We have a TWRP backup however it is a compressed backup and i am unable to figure out how to get TWRP to recognize it without giving an error about the binary code. Second question is this, is there a way to combine the individual file parts that were recovered from the SD card into functional android files again? As i mentioned before i have never really dealt with this type of thing before but i want to try and fix this for her as between the 2 issues she has lost 5 years of data. Thank you so much for your responses.

So i'm a little confused right now. I know that the current note 4 has a snapdragon 805. Then i've heard that the Note 4 will have a processor upgrade, only to hear that its only going to be their own processor. I'm just wondering if the Note 4 LTE-A will be faster. Depending on the source, it says that it may be released in the US. Which one is better?

This week or the next one I'm going to buy a new phone. I had a pretty big list of phones from which to choose but i came down to these 2 models. Now, I don't know which one to choose. The note 4 has a few things above the s6. It has a bigger display, a better battery life and comes with microsd support(I'm not saying anything about the s pen because i wouldn't probably use it that much) Also the S6 has a few pros above the note 4. it has a better and newer processor(not saying that the note 4 is a "slouch" ) slightly improved cameras and it would be easier to handle. Also it has a touch based fingerprint sensor rather than the swipe-based one on the note 4 But they both have a few cons The note 4 is getting pretty old by todays standars, knowing that the note 5 might be launched in august(the note 5 would cost too much to be considered as an option for me ) so I wouldn't like the "feel" of buying an older gen phone The s6 has a smaller battery than the note 4 so it won't last that long and it has glass on both sides, which might make it easier to break(I don't really drop my phones. I can say that I'm pretty gentle with them even if they cost $100 or $600) I don't know which one of them should I buy. It's not like i would make a bad decision buying one over the another but some suggestions from you regarding which one to buy would really help me in making this decision

I was just wondering if anyone can confirm that this version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 works with the USA service "Net 10" So this is what Net10 says about their service, * Works with any unlocked compatible GSM phone including smart phones * Nationwide Coverage with no roaming charges * Keep your existing phone number * Get up to 4G LTE speeds on AT&T or up to 4G speeds nationwide on T-Mobile. * We offer standard, Micro and Nano SIMs on AT&T or T-Mobile nationwide * No Contracts, No Credit Checks So will 4G LTE work with this beauty of a phone? http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galaxy-N910C-Unlocked-Smartphone/dp/B00PB1547M/ref=sr_1_20?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1419160160&sr=1-20&keywords=samsung+galaxy+note+4#Ask THANK YOU SO MUCH!<3

The title says it all... I finally got a chance to hold the Note 4 in person today and... wow. It's beautiful. Whatever could be previously said about Samsung's design is simply not applicable here. It's gorgeous! Unfortunately, the device was not charged, and I couldn't actually use it... sad. But if anyone was thinking about getting the Note 4, it's the best looking phone I've seen. Really. It's that good looking and feeling.

I made a post last night on whether TouchWiz was terrible or bearable. I got a lot of replies and stuff to think about, so thanks! But, at the end of the day, the one and only problem I have with buying the Note 4 is sort of a major one: TouchWiz. On one hand, I'm sort of happy that if I buy it, I'll have too many features, which is better than none IMO. On the other, ANDROID L IS BEAUTIFUL. I was originally going to buy this year's Moto X just so that I'll get stock Android L later on. But the camera + battery life really turned me off. Photo taking is one of my favorite things to do on a phone- Moto X doesn't deliver. My phone has terrible battery life, so this time I wanted a phone with a nice, big battery- Moto X doesn't deliver. But this year's Moto X delivers on every other aspect. On the other side of the spectrum, the Note 4 is literally the opposite of the Moto X. Great camera, great battery life, loaded with (perhaps too many) features, has the S-Pen (which I'm really looking forward to), and a MUCH improved build. But - unlike the Moto X - it has one of the heaviest skins on Android on the market, which can really deplete from the experience. Sure, there are some things I actually like about TouchWiz, but stock is so much better IMO. Which leads to the title of this post: If I used a different launcher on a Note 4, would it get rid of the features that Samsung has put into the phone? Also, is it even possible on a Note 4? I'm a newbie to Android, in fact the Note 4 is likely going to be my first Android device. I'd really enjoy your feedback.

Samsung has announced the Galaxy Note 4! Specs: 5.7" SAMOLED screen at 2560x1440 (515 PPI). Snapdragon 805 (quad core 450 at 2.7GHz and Adreno 420 at 600MHz). There will also be an octa core version that uses the Exynos 5433, but that only supports up to Cat 4 LTE. 3GB of RAM 32GB of storage and microSD card support. Cat 6 LTE (aka LTE-A) 16MP rear camera with OIS. 3.7MP front facing camera with a wide angle lens (90 degrees). 3220mAh battery, 3.85V for a total of 12.397Whr. Size: 153.5 x 78.6 x 8.5mm. That makes it slightly bigger than the Note 3 which is 151.2 x 79.2 x 8.3.I am surprised that Samsung actually made it taller and thicker. Available in the beginning of October in black, white, gold and pink colors. Things I found interesting: The lowest model has 32GB of storage. I wish all phones would come with 32GB of storage. Snapdragon 805 is nice. It's as good as it gets as of today, but I was kind of hoping for something 64bit enabled. Oh well... I guess the Galaxy S 6 will be their first 64bit phone. I am surprised that they went with a Sony sensor for the camera. The rest of the specs on it seems good though. 16 megapixel resolution. Optical image stabilization (finally). 1/2.6" sensor so it's pretty damn big (for comparison, the iPhone 5S and HTC M8 are about 1/3.0"). It has all the usual stuff as well like NFC, GPS, 802.11AC, Bluetooth 4.1. It has USB 2.0 for some reason though. This seems like a step back from USB 3.0 on the Note 3 and Galaxy S 5. I wonder what the reason behind that was. It also has the pen like all other Note devices. The home button now has a finger print scanner as well. Optional wireless charging back cover. I would have liked to see it come with the stock phone but having it as an option is better than nothing I guess. The reason for the 3.7MP front facing camera is that the resolution will match the 2560x1440 screen. Quick charging. Samsung claims that the Note 3 will charge to 50% battery in about 30 minutes. The Note 3 takes about an hour to do the same. This feature can be disabled if you are concerned about the heat it will generate and if it will have a negative effect on the battery in the long run. The frame is metal, just like the Galaxy Alpha. The back material is still a soft touch material like on the Note 3 but it has been changed slightly. It no longer has the fake stitching and it now fits might tightly against the side of the device. The buttons have also been improved to make the actuation point more clear and noticeable (in other words, they aren't as mushy). The glass also ends with a bit of a curve, which makes it more pleasant to swipe on from. It is NOT water resistant. There are also a bunch of software stuff but does anyone really care? They made some improvements to how multi window is handled, they changed the multitasking menu, the background in options is now white and so on... Things I would have liked to see: Better SoC - I would have loved to see something like a Cortex A53 + A57 based octa core model. We are so close to 64bit on Android now that I just feel like Snapdragon 805, while being really good, will be outdated in the not too distant future. Qi charging out of the box - Having the option to get it with a replacement back is nice, but it would have been nicer to have it by default. Bottom or front facing speakers - The speaker is still on the back which is disappointing. I would have really liked to see a good bottom speaker like on the LG G3, or better yet, front facing speakers. Maybe next year... Dual LED flash (dual tone) - This is becoming a standard but for some reason Samsung decided to go with a single LED flash. It's a shame because ti can really help with the color shift you get when using the flash. Water resistant - I won't say it's bad that it doesn't have it, but it would have been nice to have it. The announcement can be found here: Samsung unpacked episode 2 (40:23)

In March @Mr.Duck post a story about Samsung making a Ultrasonic Cover for their smartphones, targeted towards people with vision-related disabilities, (http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/127811-samsung-introduces-accessories-for-the-visually-impaired/ ), Now SamMobile is able to confirm the existence of this cover for the upcoming Note 4 series, with a exact description of the accessory. This cover is expected to be reveal alongside the Note 4 in the Samsung event in Berlin on 3rd Sept. http://www.sammobile.com/2014/08/19/exclusive-samsung-developing-ultrasonic-cover-for-the-galaxy-note-4/

I'm currently looking for a new android phone for £200/$250, particularly at high grade refurbs as they seem to be the best bang for the buck, and what I'm finding is nothing can really compare to the Samsung Note 4 at this range. Does anyone know of any better phones obtainable at this range - or sights where I might find said phones, I'm willing to practical shop anywhere within reason (so eBay, etc). What are your thoughts, and users with the Note 4 - what do you think of it? Also, am I right in assuming that I can update the Note 4 to Marshmallow? Cheers, Xvantok
