my daily desktop suddenly gave a black screen and all the fans went turbo. im using a amd ryzen 7 5700g in a gigabyte b450m ds3h, tired with and without my msi rtx 2060 and tried 1x16 and 2x16 ram, my usual is 2x, ive cleared the cmos twice, i get lights and fans but no screen or boot errors i can see. im going to install a b550m ds3h ac as i was planning to later this month to try and rule out more parts. i have ramand cpus that worked when removed i can use to test aswell. when this issue arose i also lost the ability to force a hard reset via power button. anything helps

Recantly i have bought new components from Amazon. I bought ryzen 7 5800x asrock 750w 80 plus gold and rtx 4070 oc. My specs before upgrade is 3060 oc, ryzen 5 2600x and 550w 80plus. Im not new to pc building. Had no problem at first. After a day or 2 tbh i lost track of time. What happened is that i turned on pc and had no displays on both monitors and no lights on keyboard and mouse. Pc seems to be turned on but nothing. Tried to reseat hdmi and display port but nothing. Only after pc rest by pressing the button everything turns on normally. What is weird pc runs great besides hight temps on cpu while gaming cos of bad airflow (nzxth510). Tested long gaming session on cyberpunk max graphics with raytracing and pathtracing all stable. I am bit lost what to do. One thing i have to do is install newest drivers mby that helps. What is weird is that this problem doesn't happen everytime i turn it on. Sometimes it happens and i reset pc and it turns on normally and sometimes it just turns on no problem. Hope that is just mby loose connection or driver. Hope i explained my situation well enough. Thank you

Hi, I'm having a bit trouble with my pc. Not getting any display and I know that my parts work (for the most part). I was using it yesterday and today I tried turning it on which it work but then my screen stayed black. I think it might be a problem with BIOS since I had to take it to a tech repair shop and that was what the problem was. Would that mean that my BIOS is corrupted or just issues with my motherboard. Also, how would I update my BIOS. My motherboard is a Asus Prime B450M A-II.

When we put the GPU on the motherboard, it has this buzzing sound from the motherboard speaker and has no display even when we connect the HDMI to the motherboard. Then when we took out the GPU, the buzzing sound is gone from the speaker and there is a display. Still does it even though we put it back. Any solutions to this?

I found a PC in the garbage outside my apartment. Was missing RAM and a hard drive so I took a stick from RAM for my computer and used Ubuntu test mode on a USB. System booted fine and seems to be completely functional. Had it in a car for a hour long drive and when I tried turning it on again I got nothing. Lights and fan spin but no display. I figured I just wasn't careful with it and might have killed the board. Ordered a new motherboard off eBay that happened to have RAM and a CPU as well, seller implied it was functional. Testing every combination of motherboard, CPU and RAM, I still can't get any display, with or without a graphics card and I've tried 3 different displays and the 4 pin power is plugged in. First CPU: i5-7500 First Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H110-A Second CPU: i5-7400 Second Motherboard: ASRock B250M-HDV My RAM: TridentZ RGB F4-3600C18D-16GTZRX eBay RAM: Ripjaws V F4-2400C15D-8GVR (assuming one stick is dead because my main computer wouldn't POST with it) Power supply: EVGA 400W GPU: Founders 970 and EVGA 1050 I wanted to get this second PC running for my dad to play some games like Portal and Fallout. Any suggestion of what the problem is. I assumed it was a function PC someone threw out after an upgrade because it was in a iBuyPower box for a much newer system.

Okay, I was moving in back home and when i was connecting my pc, I didn't notice that the outlet I was trying to use was broken meaning there was something in Its but broken and there was a spark(I'm stupid I know LMAO) NOW THIS IS THE ISSUE. My pc starts up (the lights are on nd fans are spinning)but nothing is displaying and it seems like the gpu fans are going really fast yet the GeForce logo isn’t lit up. My integrated graphics work and im currently using my set up without my gpu. Do i need to just eat another gpu? It can’t be the cable for it since i even replaced it and nothing.

So this is an issue I have been chasing around for the past few weeks and have finally decided to reach out on different forums for potential solutions. The issue I am having is that when I power on my laptop all is well and the system boots up normally with the exception of the display not coming on. Occasionally when I start the computer the display backlight comes on but no display. Now we get into the weirder parts; when connected to an external there are no issues. External displays work perfectly fine, which gives me access to the machine for troubleshooting. Updates including graphics card updates do not resolve anything. However, if I do a bios update/ repair the display goes back to normal and all external displays work perfectly fine. Then after a few hours with the machine shut down I will go back to turn it on and boom, no display on the laptop screen. I have tried this bios update method twice with external displays disconnected and connected with the same results. Because I have proven that the screen does work under select circumstances and that external displays work, this has to be a software issue. Any thoughts on this would be much appreciated Specs: ASUS ROG STRIX G i7-9750H RTX 2060 mobile 32g DDR4

Hello, I just finished building my PC and plugged her in, elated that everything seemed in working condition (the fans actually were spinning, amazing) and I could taste the fun that was to be had, that is until I went to BIOS, as you do, to change my CPU fan speed to ignore (for the AIO). I hit save and reset, however, no display showed up on my monitor and after a while BIOS came back. Ensue a mild panic attack over the thought that i fucked everything up I did some research. I'm using an SSD drive to boot, however, the windows 10 was already installed on the drive before I plugged it in. I'm lead to believe that I should be doing a fresh-installation of windows 10 to get it to display on the monitor? Will this fix my problem? Therein lies the complication, I have a laptop where I can run the Media creation program, however, I'm not sure of the consequences of creating the media for the PC from my laptop, will it take the license with it? I know these are possibly the worst questions you may have ever encountered on this forum, but please, if you can spare a few seconds to ease my anxiety-riddled head.

I have a Ryzen 5 Pro 4650G, MSI A520M-A Pro, Adata XPG 16 gigs 3000mhz and a seagate 1 tb HDD at 7200rpm. When I first setup the PC it used to not display anything although all debug LEDs were off and all fans were running perfectly fine. Then I would shut it off, start it again and then it would work. Then again on the next startup it won't boot but on the next it would. I updated the BIOS to the then latest version 7C96v121 and this issue disappeared. I recently updated my bios(not to the BETA version) and this issue came back and so I had to revert to the working one. Can someone tell me what's going on here? If this issue persists I may lose support to future BIOS versions which improve stability and such. Please help me out.

Hi so a very nice friend of mine just put together his first ever PC build. Unfortunately for him he's getting no display from the system to the monitor, so I'm making this post on his behalf. So far the fixes he has tried are: Swapping monitors Re-Seating RAM Re-Seating GPU Re-Seating CPU Swapping PSUs Installing new drivers for the GPU Some sort of BIOS intervention, he didn't quite explain very well, but it involved the included CD with the Mobo Some extra information: The system is using a recycled GPU from his last system, which works fine. (1050 TI as a stand-in until he can get a better card) All components are brand new or re-used from his previously functioning system. Old PSU was an unspecified 500 Watt ATX with some compatibility issues. New PSU is a Gigabyte p550b with no said compatibility issues The monitor is also re-used, and works fine. All cables are plugged in correctly There is no error code, the monitor is simply blank. The fans on both the GPU and CPU cooler are spinning, as well as the case fans. The display is plugged into the GPU, not the motherboard. CPU has no onboard graphics, so plugging into the MB would not work. Parts list that I know of: PSU: See above GPU: Re-used but functional 1050 ti RAM: OLOy warhawk 2 X 8 GB @ 3200 MHZ CPU: Ryzen 3 3100 (He wanted the 5 2600, but it was unavailable) MB: M-ATX A520m Storage: Solid state (Only SATA I think, not sure what model.) I'll pass on any ideas to him, and give an update if any worked / there's more information needed. Thanks guys!

I was cleaning dusts out of my pc the other day, after it’s done, boot loop happened, then I replug the Ram and the bootloop stop, but it shows no display.. then there is this burnt smell, i forget it happened before or after i replug the RAM. I bring it to the shop and they say the warranty is void because one of the pin is burnt.. And there’s this tech guy, removing the burnt pin with a pencil eraser, now my pc runs like normal, both of the RAM is detected.. its like nothing happened.. Is this okay though? Will one of this burnt RAM pin endangered the other hardwares? Should i take a safety precaution by removing the damaged RAM and just use the undamaged one? Pls kindly help with a simple words..

This is my first ever post, but I can not find anything to help with my problem. Basically I’m fixing (trying to) a friends PC and I’m getting very weird reactions from the GPU. The gpu will not display anything when all set up normally, but if I follow a very weird sequence of operations it will work fine until I turn the pc off. M/B is a dell proprietary one I took from a prebuilt I had laying around. cpu i5 - 4460 16gb of ddr3 ram evga gtx 960 (the problem?) seasonic power supply So the sequence I have to follow to get the gpu to display like normal is as follows: 1) unplug 8 pin from gpu 2) turn on pc for 10secs with no power cable in gpu 3) kill power on back of power supply with switch. 4) plug 8 pin into gpu 5) turn pc on and poof it works all of a sudden. I’m trying to fix this before modding his case to fit a R9 390 I’ve got laying around. any help is appreciated!

Hi i hope someone can help me. When i turn on my pc from sleep it powers on fans are working, but display from my monitor wont turn on and CPU light on ezdebug is on. Nothing will happens unless i shut down my pc by pressing the power button, but when i turn it on again after that it is just like turning on from sleep not from complete shut down. I hope someone can help me with this problem Thanks! BTW here's my components in case someone ask for it for maybe helping troubleshooting my problem CPU: Ryzen 2600 MOBO: Msi b450m mortar max

Hello. I took a friends pc to take a look since it randomly shows no display. Things I tried: Removing ram Switching ram slots Adding different ram Reseting bios Tested PSU I switched gpu, ram and ssd to an other pc and IT BOOTED WITH DISPLAY. On EZdebug when it starts booting cpu led flashes for a couple of seconds and disappears. My guess that it is mobo that's dead. I do not know the name of the cpu (old gen RYZEN 3) but it seems it has VEGA graphics. Those won't show anything either. Mobo: MSI A320M PRO-VD PLUS. RAM: 1X8 GB kingston GPU: GTX1050 Thank you for your help everyone:)

Hello everyone, I’m a bit at a loss today as I’ve been trying to troubleshoot my issue, I upgraded my cpu (from a ryzen 3200G to a Ryzen 5 5600x) Unfortunately my pc just refuses to boot as of now, the fans spin whenever I press the power button but I do not have any display signal nor peripherals working… One thing worth mentioning is that I forgot to update my bios, I thought placing in a new cpu wouldn’t require me to do that, silly me. I have tried various fixes that were explained to me, from unplugging my gpu to taking out the cmos battery/ram in order to reset it, I’ve also booted with only the display cables plugged in, I’ve done plenty of things including placing my old cpu back to see what would happen but none of it worked thus far, I do hope one of you can give me a hand. Here’s my specs in case my issue emanates from anything but my cpu CPU => Ryzen 3 3200g (well, ryzen5 5600x now) GPU => GTX 1660 ventus oc edition motherboard => MSI A320M A pro RAM => Hyper x, 8gb storage => ssd and dookie 1tb hdd

My computer after a few months I bought it began to crash. It would just black screen, and restart itself while playing games. It would work for a day and sometimes would work for 20 minutes before crashing which frustrating especially during valorant. Now it will black screen, and I have to reseat ram, take out all the peripherals, hold down the power button to get it to boot then wait 30 seconds, and then maybe it'll turn on. Then sometimes it turns on blue screens, works for 5 minutes black screens and then won't display again. I bought a prebuilt I know that was not a good idea especially since at the time I bought it when graphics cards were insanely high prices so I thought it was a good deal. I've had it for a year and it's just had these consistent issues. Sometimes after it black screens it'll restart and take me to the login screen, sometimes amd Radeon software uninstalls itself and even while it's gone it'll crash. I have completely reset my SSD and that didnt work. The prebuild the reason why I brought it up is my graphics card is jammed to my motherboard and I cannot get them apart. I have literally no money so I am trying to find a solution just so I can be sane. This has been such a stressful experience since I'm not good with computers. My friends even reseated cpu and it did nothing. These are my specs and I really need help and any/all even anything is just appreciated I'm so stressed from this all. We got a Lenovo laptop in our shop that was supposedly turned off during a hardware update and now will not turn on. When pressing the power button the led light will turn on and stay power for a while before flashing once then staying normal again. It will repeat this process for 4-5 cycles before deciding that that enough and turning itself off. While this is happening the keyboard backlight, key caps, and screen do not power on or show signs of life. I have tried the following steps; Unplug battery and hold power button for 30s to discharge it. Unplug the main battery and then the RTC/CMOS battery and held the power button for 30s. pressed the FN key and the Novo button to boot to bios pressed the Novo button solo to boot to bios (also attempted with a press and hold) Prey unplugged the main battery and then the RTC/CMOS battery (holding power for 30s) and replaced the SSD and ram stick Bargaining simply holding down the power button with the charger attached and unattached(battery plugged in) None of the above solutions worked. I tried getting into contact with Lenovo support but I could not find any person or solution to aid my problem. Initially I assumed that it was stuck in a sleep mode but after testing I don't think that that's the case anymore. Does anyone have any experience with this or possible solutions for this. I will appreciate any support given, Thank you. ( I can give more info if needed)

Today I turned on my laptop after 2 weeks and it's display wasn't working. I have MSI GP62MVR. The ac adapter wasn't working and the ordered one was taking too long so I opened up my old ac adapter and replaced the cable today. I checked and the laptop's charging light was on so I turned on my laptop after almost 2 weeks and the display and harddisk activity light weren't working. The display seemed dead, not black but dead. I turned off my laptop by pressing the power button for a few seconds and turned it on again and the result was same. I checked and the Cooler Boost button light was working and the fans sped up with cooler boost without a problem. The keyboard backlights are also working but the display and the harddisk activity light don't work. I connected my laptop to an external display but the external display also didn't get any signal. I removed the battery and the ac adapter and discharged the laptop by pressing the power button for 30 sec but it also di VID_20200405_194628.mp4 dn't work. I can hear the HDD spinning. Can anyone please help. I have to make assignments for my University but now I can't coz of this. Please help!

I have Gigabyte B450M S2H and Ryzen 5 1600 AF 12nm. I'm trying overclocking to 3,7GHz and +0,100 voltage for example, then reboot pc, while it is on windows loading screen, my screen shows me no display or signal. Keyboard and mouse are off but pc is still working. My headset is from front USB port and it's lights are on. I also checked the ethernet port's light and it is off. I mean all back panel has no electricity. I guessed it is due to southbridge, what do you think? Is there a solution? The values i give like 3.7GHz and +0,100 voltage are just an example. Even i try to increase too less voltage or frequence again same happening. In brief, after overclock, on windows loading screen (mostly) no display or signal message occures and nothing on the back panel of mobo works. Only back panel of mobo. CPU, fans, fron ports and GPU working. Is the problem about motherboard, southbridge, or can it be about CPU? When i reset overclock, i can use without errors, without problems.

I was tweaking the resolution and settings for my potato monitor to get the best settings possible and I accidently clicked on a Radeon setting which turned the display off saying that that frequency is out of my range and is telling me to change the display mode to 1440 x900 with 60Hz. how can change the display mode without another monitor so I can view my windows again .plzz help

Hello all, I currently have a Biostar Z270Gt4 racing motherboard, i5 7600k, Asus strix 1050 ti, and seasonic 550w 80+gold psu. I am new to this so please bear with me, I am receiving a post code of 1E and the manual does not specify what that is ive tried contacting tech support to no avail. so my next step is asking the community. can some one help me clear this code. ive tried clearing the cmos and following all linus' check list but nothing. fun fact biostar makes mobos with 2 bios chips and both say 1E
