hello guys im completely beginner in oc so bear with me i have an i5-11600kf paired with an Z490 A pro mobo, AK620, and a 750w xigma psu that is dying (it do weird noise when i hit full stress test on GPU AND CPU combined) the main reason for me to oc is basically i want more fps in cs2 due me getting a 280hz monitor with the research i conducted i have oc with the following settings changed load-line calibration is mode 6 CPU ratio 49 ring 43 voltage 1.370, CPU in dynamic ratio mode NOTE: this is not something i came up with its basically a guy in youtube OC and i just copied it i have used this OC for 4 days i think and it was stable, ive tested it also in OCCT for 20 min all good however i have reverted the OC after checking some other people results with lower voltages and made me worried of degrading the cpu so as the title say can someone help me re-overclocking my CPU + any motherboard settings i need to change? thanks in advance attached below is a ss of my hwmonitor with the oc i had and without it

Budget (including currency): $1000 CAD Country: Canada I am looking for a beast 1440p or 4k monitor, I will be using this for Gaming and watching content like movies and anime, I have a system that has a 4080 super, and I want a screen that is bright and color accurate (500+ nits full screen if possible, 90% or higher on dcip) $1000 cad before tax is the max I'm willing to spend so cheaper is better, but I'd rather spend $1000 on something good than spend 500-600 on something ok, any help is appreciated, and bonus points if you can add a nice keyboard in this budget (i already have a good mouse) Thanks in Advance.

So unlucky me got a 16GB DDR4 3600Mhz cas 18 Trident Z C-die Ram that can not handle 1.35v(XMP).After days of trying different settings and many posts later I've managed to stabilize them at 1.30v 18-22-22-44. I'm about to upgrade to 32GB ram but im trying to save some money at the same time. My question is if i get an other 16GB (so that i have 4x8GB) and they work like they are supposed to will they have trouble booting with my current settings? (for the faulty ram i already have) or should i grab 2x16GB?

I have a S2721DGF monitor. It used to wake from sleep when I move my mouse, but now it only wakes when it has recently gone to sleep. If it has been in sleep mode for a while, then only unplugging and plugging in the monitor helps. I can confirm that the power button under the screen is on and lit up (white light is on). I have also reinstalled the monitor driver from Dell and installed the latest nvidia graphics driver as a fresh install using custom installation. How do I fix this? Thank so much!

I've been browsing for a new monitor in South Africa and I came across this: https://www.wootware.co.za/wootvision-cg27dqi-180hz-27-wqhd-2560x1440-180hz-1ms-ips-amd-freesync-hdr400-gaming-desktop-monitor.html On paper it looks great but it is clearly a rebrand. I can't find any information on it other than that there is an identical monitor on AlliExpress (sold under the brand Mucai): https://www.aliexpress.com/i/1005002204792843.html#nav-review. Any thoughts on whether it should be trusted? For context, I'm not in a rush to buy so I can take the "wait and see" attitude.

As you can see in the images there are some missing pins on the vga connector would it be that or is there any else I could do to fix it

So I'm having some issues with OCing my setup after upgrading RAM and PSU, specifically OCing the CPU and RAM. I also upgraded graphics but I don't think it's related to the issue. I feel like it's something simple and I'm just being daft. Everything listed here is from memory as I'm away from home. I literally stayed up all night to try and figure this out. To preface I currently have a Ryzen 7 2700(not x), ASUS ROG Crosshair VI Hero WiFi(most recent bios it would flash without black screening is 6201), Radeon RX 7600xt, 64gb ddr4 3600mhz TForce Vulcan Z Ram (4x16), and a 1000W Gigabyte UD1000GM PG5 PSU. The only way the system will post is if I leave everything default or use the mildest auto OC. CPU target is ~3200mhz I think, but ram was only 2400mhz. Used to I could OC my CPU to ~3.9-4.0ghz stable but now if I touch it or the ram it fails to post, everything spins to life but no power to peripherals and black display until it gives me the boot failed bios memory reset or whatever after like 3 auto reboots. In CPU Z both clocks are reading correctly (except ram is only 1200mhz with ddr and all). Lastly only half of my ram is showing up as usable and half is hardware reserved. I don't know how to change that and didn't see anything in bios though it does pick up all 4 sticks but shows memory as ~32gb. Hopefully someone can help!

Hey there everyone! I saw a deal of this MSI Pro MP243XW 23.8" 1080P 100Hz display in Amazon (international shipping) for $89.99 US. Has anyone used this monitor, or know of trustworthy reviews? It has pretty good (yet very little) reviews in Amazon, and I have heard it's an amazing monitor for the price, but it's mostly people on Telegram groups and small channel reviews in languages I might not understand. I currently use a 75Hz 1080P 5ms response time monitor, as well as a secondary old HP display (1024x768) that was given to me for free. I kinda want an upgrade, I would get the new monitor and keep using my previous ones, but Idk whether to wait for something else or go for this one. My budget is as high as that deal btw (I guess max is $100). What do you all think? Any comments are welcome. If you're gonna search for a recommendation, I would appreciate it if you chose Amazon, since it does free international shipping to my country (Colombia). Thanks!

I’m thinking of getting a 240Hz monitor, but I wonder what I can expect if I am only able to get an average of 180FPS. Sometimes above 240FPS. I play competitively. I feel like G-Sync will throw my pacing way off and maybe I should have a FPS limit set to 239? My current setup is a 120Hz monitor where I have minimums never go below 120FPS, while I also use RTSS (RivaTuner) Scanline Sync. I’d love feedback from a theory point of view, but also from those with various experiences with this.

I’ve been trying to choose an Ultrawide to buy. I’m looking at getting a 49” one, and the one that seems to have all the bells and whistles I want is the AOC Agon AG493UCX2 The bells and whistles being (these are non-negotiable): Similar display rate and pixel density as my current dual monitors (currently two Gigabyte M29Q) Display port and HDMI. As well as USB C with power and data transfer so I can charge my work laptop with the same cable I’m using to display it when I WFH PBP (PIP would be a plus) so I can have my PS5 on one side and be able to browse the internet on the other I was looking at the Samsung G9 Odyssey as I can get it nearly half off at the moment, but I don’t think it has what I want

Hi everyone, I'm seeking advice on choosing a new monitor after transitioning from an Nvidia to an AMD GPU. I currently own an Acer Predator XB271HU 1440p 165Hz G-Sync monitor, but since I've switched to an AMD XFX 7900 GRE after my first build in many years, I can no longer utilize the G-Sync module. I'm concerned about losing access to variable refresh rate technology and I'm looking for recommendations on a suitable replacement. My desk measures 65cm in depth and is this model from JYSK: [ https://jysk.ie/office/desks/computer-desks/gaming-desk-halbjerg-65x135-w/led-white ]. I'm considering a 34" ultra-wide for immersion, but I'm unsure if my desk depth is sufficient, I'd also be open to a better 27" monitor too as I'm concerned about stability if mounted directly on the desk. I'm open to purchasing a TV stand and slightly adjusting the desk setup if needed. My priorities are good contrast and motion clarity, although OLED monitors are out of my budget. I'm located in Europe and my budget is around €500, but I'm open to cheaper options as long as they offer an improvement over my current setup. Any thoughts or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi, I'm planning to buy a new monitor this summer Budget: 25 000CZK / 1080USD GPU: 7900 XT Requirements: -OLED display What I've been looking at reviews etc., I like the two monitors ASUS PG27AQDM and ASUS PG32UCDM I'm more interested in the PG32UCDM (Czech price 1 800 USD) but for that one I doubt it will drop 853 USD in price in 3/4 months so that one is out. And the other one I also found good and I'll probably choose it but before that I'd rather come here to ask if there are any better alternatives etc.

Hi! I have an old 20" Asus monitor, a friend of mine give it to me saying that He never used it a lot. As you can see in the attached video, when I plug it in a socket the only thing that happens is a short blue LED and then nothing else. What can it be? Some component need to be change? Thanks to everyone who will answer. 20240408_152857_1.mp4

Budget (including currency): around 1000€ Country: Estonia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: All the games Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Existing parts are in my profile, but main parts are Intel i5 14600KF, 64GB DDR4 3600MT/s, RTX 4070. The prices here are not like anywhere else. AW2725DF price when it becomes available is ~840€ Is there any 27" 240Hz+ OLED that's better? The cheaper the better, but the performance should be on the level with AW2725DF For instance AOC AG276QZD costs about same here, but is not better in any aspect, at least by reviews.

hi all, pretty familiar with overclocking at this point. had everything running solid with my 5900x on a crosshair viii x570 till i went into bios and tinkered with the pbo scalar. initially i was averaging 4.9ghz consistantly, eh around 80watts. of course not all cores going, most were sleeping. whatever, pc ran fine and temps were always at or below 80c under load back to the pbo scalar. so i went into that on bios, hit enable for virtually everything, set my temp max/cpu to 90. then did the "auto" scalar settings to positive and 1. reboot into windows, oh i also set the multiplyer (i normally wouldnt do it this way but fresh\new bios, whatever) to 43.00 anyway noticed under load id fluctuate from 110w to 209w and back down. it would go all over the place along with my cpu temps, obviously. having taskman open i did notice all 12 cores were at the same clock speed, sweet! although with temps hitting 90 and up, uhm, shouldnt my pc "blow up", as in immediately shut off? did a restart, this time did a negative scalar and again, 1 instead of zero. doing '-1' wasnt an option, presuming the '-' character was invalid same result! why is this as i thought a neg scalar would decrease the wattage? either settings were stable. so i let it do some cpu mining as a stress test (nicehash always "blows up" my pc if unstable during a bench). i think it got to 110 degrees max according to the phone app. obviously not ideal but i let it run for idk 6 hours, figured things would balance out since i have so much radiator surface area and a custom block for the mobo/cpu/vrm's etc etc. -why didnt my pc blow up considering my max temp is set at 85? normally if the voltage spikes suddenly (as would temp) say 60c to 94c and back to idk 70c BLOOP pc shuts off -why was so much voltage being pushed to the cpu, even without load? -how the hell was it stable! -any suggestions on how to fix the wacky wattage? -is messing with the PBO even practical considering 4.9ghz runs fine? -really any suggestions at all lol thanks peeps!

I've got a client looking for recommendations for monitors, if any, that can be both powered AND given video data over a single USB-C port. Having not needed to search for monitors for a while now I'm honestly a bit out of the loop, as most monitors I know of can only provide power to another device over their USB-C port opposed to powering the monitor. My client would be hooking two of these monitors onto a rolling desktop station via VESA mount and would be connected to a desktop PC. I know he would at least need an adapter to convert HDMI or DisplayPort to USB-C, or even a PCIe-based Thunderbolt 3/4 card for USB-C output with enough power for a monitor, but then the question comes back to if there are any monitors that can take power and video over USB-C. If anybody has recommendations for decent panels that fit this criteria, please let me know.

GIGABYTE 31.5" VA GS32QC I am currently using a Gigabyte monitor which is 24", 165Hz and 1080p. I am looking for a new one that is 32" and curved and not expensive, and i found the one listed above and I wonder is it a good one, I need it primarly for gaming. I like all the specs but I am not familiar with VA panel as my monitor is IPS. Question I have is it worth it at that price and should I buy it ?

Hi guys. Unfortunately my beloved monitor is showing signs of failing. Both HDMI and DP signal on occasion fade to black until I remove the cable and reposition it. The fan stays on continuously unless unplugged even hours after a gaming session. These are becoming more frequent and I can’t find a suitable repair shop in the UK. As such I’m looking for a monitor that can deliver the same performance and especially the HDR performance that this monitor can do. any suggestions would be amazing as this is going to be a steep investment. My Budget is £1700 and would like 32in max screen size. Thanks for reading.

gpu tweak GPU Tweak III not showing anything anymore
Ginger FerroChrome posted a topic in Troubleshooting
Hello again everycreature! So, I'm rocking an Asus Dual RX 6070XT OC edition, and have been using GPU Tweak III for overclocking. Recent, the program started looking like this: Yeah...not very useful for overclocking now. I've tried uninstalling, turning the computer on and off, haven't made any hardware changes since she was built. I'm not sure what to do, this happened just before the issues I had with Rocksmith, which I made another thread on, but that has since been fixed. Seems the game just needed an update. But this...I'm at a loss.
