Okay so, I now need a new SSD for my Mac Mini (A1347) 2014 We are going to purchase one but before doing so I just need a few guiding steps Heres what I am concerned about - Internet recovery mode, disk utility only has OS X Base system drive - Does this mean I would have to get a USB bootable stick and install the OS (Monterey) through internet recovery on install new OS, shutdown, then do the SSD Replacement, then boot off the stick? - I feel if I don't install the OS beforehand on this old one with a USB stick, then I don't know if I can enter Internet recovery mode/disk utility/ or anything at that matter on the new SSD - wouldn't it just be a blank SSD? Hence why I have once again come back to LTT, everyone here is amazing the forum and help is beyond Few things to add I will be doing the replacement of the SSD for the Mac Mini Before doing so I want to make sure I am doing it the proper way... Install OS Monterey on USB boot stick through internet recovery mode? - Will it be possible to move that OS from the USB to the new SSD later??? or Just go ahead with installing a new SSD? Thank you

Hey, everyone. I'll be looking to get a laptop this year (not right away, before summer) before I move for school. I don't game, and I want something that will last atleast the 3-4 years of my Ultrasound/Radiology program. There's no hardcore rendering or anything like that in this type of program. I'd like something preferably under 13". Checked the GPD P2 Max, but I'm screwed if there's an issue since it's totally in the hands of Chinese Customer Service. I will be using a vertical mouse, so multiple USB ports are important, as well as a way to attach it to a larger monitor when that is rarely needed. I'd love to be able to keep or upgrade the storage (and maybe RAM) on the laptop My current computer that will be sold and replaced is a Ryzen 2400G with 16gb ram. Please let me know if more information is needed

synapse 3.0 razer synapse 3 says failed to deserialize
R0bb posted a topic in Programs, Apps and Websites
hi, im trying to install a program called synapse 3 but for some reason it refuses to install and says failed to deserialize, windows build is version 2004. help please -
Saw a few of [these] on eBay refurbished. They have 16gb of RAM and SSD support (all user serviceable). Moreover some of them even have 6th or even 8th gen i7 chips which have up to 8 cores (albeit with hyper threading). I figure this would be perfect for me to load an install of Ubuntu and configure some home automation stuff. I also want a spare machine that takes the load of my main desktop PC since wfh has put some miles on her.

i ordered the razer viper mini a few months ago and i saw that it had a high lod of 2.4mm. i saw many fixes on youtube but i don’t want to use the tape mod or calibration tool, there was firmware updates that could solve the problem but many people said it fixed it but many also said it didn’t work. is there any way to fix it?

So I really want the Lian - li o11 mini. I have been checking Newegg for the past few weeks, nothing. but when I google "Lian Li o11 mini white" and I click on the first link, as I did every day for the past few weeks, it brings me HERE. Which is the Razer o11d. A few days ago Newegg said that its comes back in stock on the 22nd. I hope I can get my hands on it. Plus, I can't find it anywhere else. (In the US only please) If someone could help me find this anywhere, that would be much appreciated! Thanks!

The Lian Li o11 mini is a fully modular case that can have the whole side panel come off (The side with the mobo IO/ GPU ports) Lian Li said they would release a GPU riser bracket for the case, but I can't find it anywhere (United States) If someone could help me find it that would be amazing! Remember, this is for the Lian Li o11 MINI, not the XL/RAZER/Dynamic edition.

Budget (including currency): N/A Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Any Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I currently have a Phanteks Enthoo Evolv TG Mini ITX case. It's a dual slot case and I currently have a 2080 ti evga black GPU. The length is fine, but the height of the card is what is a tight squeeze. (See pictures below). I was wondering if anyone knew what my options will be for a 3090, or if I should just for-go the option entirely. I did happen to find a 3090 that is a dual slot card (see link below) and it looks slim enough that height won't be an issue, but it is a blower card. I don't want to get it if the temps are going to be insane. My 2080ti reaches around 81c under max load in my case, which is toasty, but definitely acceptable. Is there a better option that I'm missing? I don't think I've seen any other dual slot 3090s. Even a lot of dual slot 3080s look a little too tall for my case to accommodate. Just looking for some feedback. Alright so here is my problem or rather my question if I have a problem. I've been having annoying fan noises when gaming. I assumed it was my stock ryzen cooler but I found out that it's my GTX 1070 Mini. So I went on to check my temps with MSI Afterburner and create a costum fan curve. Here is what I'm having trouble with: Without my custom fan curve, the card runs at around 75% fan speed at 82/83°C while gaming. Manually truning the speed to 100% doesn't cool the card down any more. Yet turning the fan speed down to 50% doesn't make it hotter either but a lot quietter (Haven't tried going down further yet). Now some will probably say, that even though it doesn't get hotter it will thermal throttle. If so, I can't feel it in game. When idleing temps are around 54°C at 25% fan speed, it does actually go down to 45°C at 100% fan speed, but who would want that noise level. So my question is, am I damaging my card when letting it run at 83°C under load and 54°C on idle? Honostly I wouldn't know what to change, but load temps seemed high to me, so I thought I'd ask. Budget (including currency): soft of $500 max around 1000$ (if able to be payed for bit by bit it would be preferd) Country: US Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for:photoshop/photo editing, normal everyday uses (like shows/moives and web browseing email) Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): so first of i am not the one whos is for but its for a family member. as for peripherals needed none really but at some point it would be nice to upgraded the monitor (i have spars) to something that's nice and color accurate, keybord and mouse are not needed areldy have them, and windows i will prop just try and use there key from there old system so that can be cut out) aslo trying to go for something compact (so like a mini) as they dont have much space on there desk and make it easy to deal with cleaning dust and hair out from it. its going to be upgrading from an HP Pavilion all in 1, tho i dont have the exact specks or model i think its some intel cpu with 16 cores(i think) and it has 4gb of ram, the main reason for the upgrade is party just for something faster but aslo due to the screen being broken and not very reapiable (lest for a prices that's worth it)

For now I have this my second build, I sell my first build to come up with this budget gaming PC with "Asus B-85M Gamer" motherboard, "Patriot Sector 5 Dual channel ddr3 2x2GB kit", "Intel G3258" processor and just a simple slim case and modded Orion power supply to fit my build. I'm stuck with budget for the GPU since in our country the computer components is very expensive. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks a lot in advance! -
I am trying to put together a mini/ micro itx build that will be used for my living room tv and my game room tv. It doesn't need to be an overly powerful gaming pc, just enough to play those random split screen games with friends and stream movies. I am looking to build a couple and want them to be small enough to not be an eye sore in open spaces. I'm located on the East coast and have a Micro Center near me. I am hoping to keep it under 1500 USD if not lower. The storage doesn't need to be crazy, at max being 1tb and NVME isn't a necessity either unless it fits the budget. No more than 60 fps is needed as the tv's don't run any faster than 60hz (with my current TV's). And obviously since I am trying to keep cost down I am not to worries about 4k or even 1440p. Any help on what parts/ components would work best would be much appreciated!

Hello again! Anyone have any good sources I can check out for buying parts for my custom liquid cooling build? I keep going back to EKWB’s website but their CPU and GPU blocks keep going out of stock and I love their custom made blocks was wondering if there’s any other sources out there worth looking at. Thermaltake and Cosair wasn’t too impressed with. Optimus was the same as EKWB out of stock on a lot of things but their CPU block looked nice. Idk how to use Bitspowers website just seemed really confusing lol. Thanks in advance! also if anyone wanted to know my current setup. mobo - Gigabyte X570 I Aorus Pro CPU - Ryzen 7 5800X3D GPU - MSI RTX 4090 gaming x trio Case - Thermaltake Core P1

Why are mini PC's everywhere on amazon??? ones like https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09LSDCYHJ?pf_rd_r=K26J5ARXFBHNWM3D1KZ5&pf_rd_t=Events&pf_rd_i=deals&pf_rd_p=8f7fac40-5c6d-4659-a7cd-eace6012a86b&pf_rd_s=slot-15&ref=dlx_deals_gd_dcl_img_968_dc33799e_dt_sl15_6b and https://www.amazon.com/MeLE-Quieter3Q-N5105-Computer-Ethernet/dp/B0B83Q7N6B?pf_rd_r=K26J5ARXFBHNWM3D1KZ5&pf_rd_t=Events&pf_rd_i=deals&pf_rd_p=8f7fac40-5c6d-4659-a7cd-eace6012a86b&pf_rd_s=slot-15&ref=dlx_deals_gd_dcl_tlt_604_35bdfcb4_dt_sl15_6b&th=1 everywhere???? Most of them are fanless and come with a Celeron chip and almost all say they can run "dual 4k," and come with windows 11 pro. Some of them even say they are good for gaming, one thing I do not believe. Does anyone know why they are everywhere????? I want to know, how well could it actually game and why are companies making them saying that its great for dual 4k. Someone please explain

Hello, I've started running into trouble with space in the small room I'm living in. I currently have a 1,4m desk which takes up half the width of the room and I only have about 30cm next to it. Currently there is an old wooden box thingy there I made a long time ago where my computer is on top off but it's quite in the way and it wouldn't be the first time I bumped the computer pretty hard or the box when leaving the room. I'm looking for a small as possible solution to put the computer in that won't cost me an arm and a leg. Putting the computer under my desk is not an option as my desk is sectioned in such a way that I have half of it available for art by moving my chair a bit to the left and the other half I sit on the right for for normal work. Currently I'm using a zalman z9 plus case from ages ago that I still had over from my first good computer but it's far too big to be on my desk. I've looked into smaller cases but they all take up to much space. What's normally on my desk: A wacom cintiq 13HD A 15 inch laptop A 24 inch screen that's on a monitor arm so not too much in the way Wired full size keyboard Small Bluetooth keyboard Wireless mouse I don't use the computer as my main system. It is more my oh crap my laptop can't handle my 3d stuff or my photoshop project got way out of hand lets move to the desktop. So my wacom is usually hooked up to my laptop so I'd like to still be able to easily switch to my desktop with it some way. My desktops specs: Ryzen 7 2700 Stock cooler 32gb ddr4 3000mhz Asrock b450 micro atx board 550w seasonic focus plus platinum 1tb sata ssd 1tb nvme ssd 2tb hdd The hdd can easily be removed from the system as it's just mainly cold storage. I don't care about rgb (I turn it off), glass, windowed sidepanels or anything. As long as the case is just a non intrusive looking box I'm good and if it isn't then so be it. The cooler master q300l did look like a good option but it's already on the big side.

Buy Zotac GTX 1080 Mini on Amazon: http://geni.us/ATfcT The Zotac 1080 Mini is the SMALLEST 1080 you can find. But why would you want that?...
-
So yeah, that. I'm building my first "gaming" PC and on the few pages I can get the stuff the RX 460 WF OC and the GTX 1050 mini are about the same price. So wich one do you recommend. Alright, Here is the plan. I have an extra 1080 sitting around that needs to be put to work. I'm wanting to make a tiny build similar to the one Linus made. But i'm not sure if there are going to be any limitations since I will be using a 1080 in it. Is there anything I should steer away from for this build or will a tiny ASRock H110M-ITX do good enough? I'd be glad to hear any ideas you have! Unlike my last build this one is going to be a little more economical. But really, suggest anything that is small form factor. Thanks PCMR Brothers!
