I recently lost a bit of work while trying to get into my computer after waking up. I fat fingered my password for my computer too many times, and then windows forced me to restart my computer, how do I remove this in windows 11 home? I want to keep having a password, but I also need the number of attempts to be unrestricted. I see options for other versions of windows , but can't find how to do it in Home.

Hello! So I was tryna get some neat icon packs for my pc last night and installed 7tsp and another icon pack which came with its installer. It was all going fine and I wanted to use a mixture of both the pack (stupid move) so I installed the ones in the other installer and then the ones in 7tsp (two packs in 7Tsp actually. One for folders and another for system icons if I remember it right). And 7tsp asked me to restart my pc and boom it begins. My PC boots up and is just stuck in a loading screen loop right before the lockscreen as shown in the video. I tried Ctrl+Alt+Del and it briefly shows my lockscreen wallpaper before going back to the loading screen loop. (A side note: just before I restarted my pc I tried to open "This PC" and it was just a blank white window. Seemed like file manager crashed. But I restarted anyway.) Now I tried to go and recover my previous save point via Windows UEFI mode and something worse happens. WINDOWS WON'T LET ME IN! It keeps saying that the password I enter for my account in order to perform System recovery is wrong! I even changed my password and tried again (with different keyboard layouts as well) just to see it repeat! VID_20210814_204915.mp4 Now I'm STUCK. I can't enter my pc neither can I restore it to a previous version! Someone PLEASE help!! Hi Quick and simple question: is there a way to bypass iphone lock screen for specific apps/notifications? I have been given a ring doorbell for christmas ( great gift, especially as i am a disabled person, gives more security and will minimise the chance of missing deliveries, as i' m slow to get to my front door). The issue i'm having is that when i get doorbell notification i still need to unlock phone (faceid sometimes works, but usually need to enter code, slowing down my response to ring). Is there a way to allow the ring app to be accessible without having to go through the unlock rigmarole? I have an xr with latest ios.

Hi! Again problem after problem but this time it isn't something major. I've been stuck on this for actually a few months now... we all love Windows looking more let's say, out there, and personalisation is definitely what suits me. Today I just found my lockscreen just not my interests and something that'll make me ooh when I see it. Anyways enough talking. The problem is I want to personalise it and have a picture that ill like on it and whenever i try and browse... and select the picture file it just loads in a continous loop. I tried even changing the file format from .webp to .jpg and .jpeg and both still do the same. To be fair i do feel a bit stupid writing this now because I didn't actually try compressing it to 8mb but there we have it and now my heads got a bit tangled In a knot. Any help, videos, suggestions etc... Will be truly helpful and appreciate you putting time into helping me. Many thanks!

Hi, so I noticed, my Laptop (2020 Zephyrus G14) sometimes skips the lock-screen after a startup. That scares me a bit. I don't know if I started to see this kind of behavior when changing to Windows 11 or if it was present with Windows 10. My Desktop doesn't have that problem. I am on 22H2. I would really like to avoid spending the time to reinstall Windows.

[Android][Spotify] Disable album covers on lockscreen
MadMurl0c posted a topic in Phones and Tablets
Hey guys, I've been using Spotify on my phone for a while now and I always wanted to know how to disable the album covers on my lock screen. Of course there is an Xposed module for this but installing xposed and another xposed module just for getting my background back seems to be a bit too complicated for me ^^ So I googled a bit and found a solution in the Spotify forums. There is a thread that asks for an option in Spotify to disable/enable this feature, but spotify developers will only read it if it gets atleast 50 votes. So if you are a Spotify user please click on the link and give it a vote Here is the link to the Thread : https://community.spotify.com/t5/Live-Ideas/Android-Music-Disable-Album-Art-on-Lock-Screen-Option/idi-p/1411721 Thanks in advance for your help, I hope I am in the right section here and that it's allowed to ask you for help. Have a nice day and sorry for my bad english- 5 replies

I don't usually make forum posts (You'll see me on the subreddit virtually every day though.) but for this I decided to. So I've been having some fun learning 3D modeling/animation on my own and decided to make this, I've made a few others like it but none as good as this one, it's a animated lockscreen for your android of the LTT logo, I'm actually really glad I decided to make this when I did because in making it I stumbled upon something I'd been trying to figure out how to do for another one I'd been working on for some friends (It was a simple thing that was staring me right in the face but I somehow missed until I made this.) so it was good practice. The models I made were about as high res as my system was going to allow without tanking, each one took 30 minutes to render for a whole 15 seconds, and that was after I screwed up rigging the camera and had to render them all again because the top/bottom of each one was slightly cut off. There's 2 in total, one that should fill your screen from side to side and another smaller one, I might do some more since I'd made some slightly thinner models just to see how it looked but these were the first to come out and I liked how they looked on my phones screen. They should loop almost perfectly (I don't know why but there is like a .05 of a second jitter at the end, it's happened with a few of my other attempts.) but I doubt your lock screen will be up long enough to see that anyways. There's a dropbox link to download them, I'll attach them to the post as well so you can see what they're like without going off site. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/i31sq68spctko77/AADdi1rvtQ3S_TUXwNF7oi72a?dl=0 Just a little note I'll put here for any LTT staff, you guys are free to redistribute this if you want, you don't need to credit me or anything I do this stuff for fun/practice. Linus said on the WAN show he wants to move away from orange so maybe I'll do some versions in other colours. 500 med.mp4

Ok, somebody please explain what is going on. I am trying to connect my LG C9 to a windows 10 PC via HDMI When I plug it into the HDMI port on the graphics card, it locks windows on my main monitor and even entering the password just loops back to the lock screen. If I unplug my monitor and just have the TV connected it shows on the TV but also stays stuck in the lock screen loop. The TV is receiving signal as it displays the lock screen. It's something to do with Windows 10 not playing nice. The TV's firmware is up to date. The NVIDIA drivers are up to date. Please someone explain this before I lose my $h!t. Thank you PXL_20200929_215239578_(1).mp4

The problem is that the window's spotlight is stuck with one picture. I searched for the fix and tried several reset procedures but none of them helped. Can anyone help me with this?

Why is it only me that encounter so many bugs before and after a clean install of Windows, first it was CPU usage 100% and Task Manager won't open at all. Now I can't even change lock screen background image, it just keeps loading forever. FYI, I tried SFC/DISM scans and no problem was detected and it seems that only I have had this problem (Googled).

My girlfriend updated her iPhone 5s to iOS 10 last weekend. Afterwards she noticed that she sometimes sees a small pokemon/pokeball icon in the bottom left corner of the lockscreen. If she clicks on this, it seems to let her shortcut to the Pokémon Go app. She has also seen this with Chrome, and as I am writing this with Facebook. It does not seem to be consistent with the most recently used app, currently open app, or anything like that. This bothered me as I wanted to know why (Android user, myself) this was showing up the way it was. I looked it up on the Google and I found one forum post somewhere where a user claimed it was location based. Their lockscreen gets the Pokémon Go shortcut whenever they go to a park, but otherwise seems random. It was the only person who I have seen have any explanation at all. Maybe this is something very common in iOS and we only recently noticed it. I myself don't use iOS and haven't since the second gen iPod Touch was released. (I tried to get a screenshot but at the time I got to this part in the post, the shortcut wasn't there...) If anyone has any idea what this is or how it works, I would appreciate it. Is bothering me!

Hi all, I've been wandering around Google for hours now and still haven't found any solution or work around to my problem. I've fresh installed Windows 10 on a new system. Specs: i5-6600K, 8Gb, GTX1060, 620W PSU, H110 motherboard. I've set up pretty much everything but after I restarted I noticed my boot logo (where the Windows 10 logo would show up with those circling dots) was changed to Gigabyte's Ultra Durable logo. I've read you'll have that if you boot Windows as UEFI and not Legacy. So I tinkered it a bit. Changed it from UEFI to Legacy in the bios but it didn't change. I saw some ways to change the boot logo but all I've seen only works if the boot mode in MSINFO32 equals to Legacy not UEFI. However, even after changing the boot mode in the bios as Legacy that didn't change what's in MSINFO32. I don't know how that exactly works so I'm turning to you more knowledgeable folks. Anyway I can revert the legacy boot logo from Gigabyte's ugly Ultra Durable boot logo? Also when I press Windows + L and lock my desktop and goes to the screen where you have the time and supposedly a picture from Microsoft will display, I'm only getting a black screen with the Time and other stuff set from Settings. The photo only appears when you click on it when your username and Sign in button is displayed. I would really love not to Reset Windows. Thanks in advance for your help.

Has anyone encountered, or is working on a better lock screen alternative for windows 10? It's not the photos, or the notification bar or anything like that. It's the FREAKING EXTRA BUTTON PRESS IT TAKES TO GET TO THE LOGIN DIALOG! Ugh. If you're a 10 user, then you know what I'm talking about here. When you open your computer from sleep, and you have to press a extra random key before you can type in your REAL password. I am constantly inadvertently beginning to type my password, only to realize that it's one character short because I have to push another button to "wake it up" before I can actually begin typing. Extremely annoying. I even think I remember Linus saying something about this in an episode, not sure which one though. So. Any ideas?

Using a Surface Pro 3. Choosing a single image as Picture for lockscreen and wallpaper works. However, when changed to slideshow mode and chose the folder the images reside in, it doesn't work. For wallpaper, it just chooses the first image and doesn't change to the next image when the time interval is up. For lockscreen it doesn't even use the first image in the folder. It continues to use the previous image that was used in Pictures mode. Anyone else having this issue. Anyone know the solution to it? All help is appreciated thanks!

It seems Google can't keep anything about the Nexus 5 secret. First there was the KitKat unveiling leak, then the FCC leak, now this. Someone posted a few short videos and a few still photos which seem to have been taken at a perty after a Googler forgot his phone sitting around charging. Just like the initial leaks, there's a landscape Nexus logo and an LG logo on the back and a material that looks to be soft touch plastic, similar to the Nexus 7. There's still that massive ring around the back camera and the front has a camera on the left, a proximity and light sensor on the right and a mysterious white dot which may or may not be a speaker (since there is no speaker visible). This might not be final hardware but there are regulatory markings on the back. I think I would have preferred the Nexus 4 speaker design but I definitely like the use of soft touch plastic, while the glass was nice it was way too fragile. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QPYVbaF1Jmg ] ^NSFW language warning The first video shows the lockscreen which the people taking the video clearly don't know the pattern for. The clock font is now regular roboto rather than having a bold hour number. Another photo shows off a boot up animation similar to Google Play Edition devices. The signal icon is white in the first video but blue in the second (maybe the device was still connecting to the internet in the first one). The battery icon looks white and almost empty, there is a possibility that the icons change colour. Unfortunately there's very little to see on the software side but we definitely get a clear look at the hardware. It also comes with the "hammerhead" codename which had already surfaced a few weeks ago. It also bears a "KeyLimePie" reference just like the FCC filing, which definitely proves how secretive Google were about the KitKat name (that will of course be changed by the time this product is finished). There are also several mentions of Google in the build host, “brand,” and build fingerprint and a build number starting with the letter K as a reference to KitKat. More importantly this shows the device running a Snapdragon 800 clocked at 2.26GHz and an Adreno 330 GPU, just like the LG G2, which should really give this device the best performance in the android market. Screen resolution shows up as 1794×1080, which means the actual display is 1920x1080 counting the software navigation buttons. Pretty surprised that this hasn't been created already (that I know of) I recently spent some time sorting my phone out after switching from iOS to Android and wanted to see what people's home/lock screens look like.
