Chat with RTX Now Free to Download | NVIDIA Blog So far, its been mostly right. I've been able to get it to give me some wrong information and information that conflicted with previous responses. The datasets that it comes with are limited, but the 'default' option at least can scour the internet. I imagine more robust datasets will come out in the future, but so far, its quite promising. With my RTX 4090, I'll see it cause a jump in GPU utilization anywhere from 50-100%, which didn't impact gaming performance in a DLSS enabled game, Warframe, while also still being instant in its response. Outside of the installation process, CPU+RAM don't seem to matter. The installation process took a solid hour with regular 100% CPU and RAM utilization. Anyone else playing with it, and with what hardware?

Hey everyone, I'm trying to permanently switch to macOS, but I don't want to miss out on gaming. I already have a powerfull gaming PC, is it possible to stream games over the network without noticable latency? Or maybe use a capture card? I know that g-sync is basically gonna be impossible, but 144hz or at least 120hz is a must. Literally any idea would be greatly appreciated

Hello everyone, So some my local video files that I have on my PC buffer when I play them. If I want to skip the video forward I need to wait from seconds to minutes before the video skips and starts playing again. If I'm correct this only happens with videos that I've rendered recently with Vegas Pro 15 (all older rendered, recorded or any type of videos work perfectly, only new rendered videos with vegas pro buffer). Doesn't matter how long the video is, it buffers if I want to skip it. This just randomly started to happen out of nowhere. So only recently rendered short and longer videos buffer. I've tried to play the videos on different HDDs and SSDs, with VLC and with Windows video player, in different browsers, but still same results. Checked drive health status and it's okay also.

This one has me dumbfounded... I'm in a dorm, and we have a gigabit switch for two, Windows 10 64-bit wired connections. I can see other PCs on the network (his PC and my laptop on the switch) so my ethernet port is working. He has internet, so wired connection to switch is fine. I can use a USB wifi dongle as well, so internet is fine. But when I use a wired connection for internet, I can't ping or go on the internet. I thought it was something software related... until I booted into Linux. Linux (Tails) had no wired connection either. I've ipconfig /release and /renew 'ed already, reinstalled drivers, reset network settings, etc. Is there something wrong with my motherboard? Thanks in advance!

Hi, When I use plex over night my Desktop losses connection affecting the server. Is this a common issue or cant my modem handle streaming my 20gb.mkv files over a local connection? Other Questions: I use makemkv to encode my movies to the server would it be better to encode them and lower the file size to help solve this issue? Cheers.

My computer was getting a bit loud so i check the task manager and see that service host: local system has high cpu usage (well not high but 30% which is a lot more than other things) and upon further investigation i found that windows update is causing this. I have ran malware bytes and it found nothing. If i go to windows update it says my device is up to date If i try to stop windows update in services it says: Windows could not stop the Windows Update service on Local Computer. Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion. Should i try out a different virus scan? Or any other recommendations

Hi, I've just been testing my plex setup (Local Streaming). An wanting to know does a smart TV have a limit on what video bitrate can be streamed to it? Because I've been encountering buffering and stuttering during direct playback/stream via the plex app. I've came this question when I saw the details on why the file had to be trans coded "Resolution or bitrate exceeds maximum allowed" could this be the problem? I'm using a Sony kdl55w800c and Makemkv with the original video bitrate. Any thoughts on this would be great. Cheers

So basically I made a post the other day saying about wiring a connection from ethernet that has been ran in my house. Changing from rj11 to rj45. Anyway blah blah blah. I got that working, at least it works on several laptops I tested. Now I just received a desktop I brought the other week. It's a hp prodesk 600 G1 sff if that is relevant. Basically when I plug the ethernet in it says unidentified network and won't pickup an IP from DHCP, I've tried assigning it an IP and then pinging the router but most requests fail. Using all the exact same cables into the wall port in my room and out at my router but instead using a laptop works perfectly fine. Fast speeds, no packet loss or drops etc. But when just changing the computer from my laptop to the desk I run into all sorts of problems. So I'm sitting here scratching my head wondering what it could be. My guess is the computers tollerence is just not as strong as the laptop for running on which is not the best wiring. But it could be something else. Could this be a driver or software issue or definitely hardware? The fact that half the packets make it confuses me.

Hey all, So my brothers just got new PC's, now before I start - I DO NOT want to monitor them, however teamviewer will be installed for remote support. They're 11 & 9, they're sensible but we just want to make sure everything is okay with their PC's and that they aren't accessing anything bad. So, I'm going to make a homegroup and have us all connected to it. Is there a way to see their internet traffic and to enforce a security policy so that they can't get to certain websites, open certain file extensions etc? I know it can be done on a server, but I don't have a server as of yet, so instead I would like to know of a way to enforce it via homegroup or another method. Thanks in advance, Jack

Hey, first post here so sorry for anything... I have 2 high end gaming PC's and 1 is also basically a home nas. I am using some ssd's on raid 0 and one is a x570 board with a 3800x and I have a 1 tb of nvme gen 4 with about 5 gigbit read and writes. So my question has anyone ever tryed to just hook each pc up cat 7 for mabe 3-5 meters with one of these (HPE-IMSourcing NC523SFP 10Gb 2-port Server Adapter. ) https://www.google.com/shopping/product/3345462993557822039?q=Gigabit+Ethernet&client=ms-android-verizon&biw=412&bih=766&tbs=vw:l,ss:44&prmd=sniv&sxsrf=ALeKk00IdEWzHflQrurDSjzCgEXXGsV6bw:1583140635379&prds=epd:16676720510529304461,paur:ClkAsKraXwl2p0bKgfGK1TBtsZ5pY2BpgiNPVlao_30By7IkOB7ZywzMd-Y3GimsHqIJJoQjjaArz1OZNHRcFs-VuSdCSwl8GYHkWHPg3RJToi0eembbTxyRoRIZAFPVH72P79hq8cYoD9dhPeR99ovk1V57mQ,cdl:1,prmr:1,cs:1 l So as you see there's 2 port if I used 1 for just pc to pc and the 2nd just for internet also both have built in 1gigabit and I have 1 gigabit internet from my ISP. But would that remove the need for a 10gig switch for only the 2 computers?

I have a VPN tunnel set up so I can access my home network from anywhere else. Simple setup through PFsense. I have 4 devices (Proxmox server, FreeNAS, Plex, Nextcloud) that I need to reach through the VPN. All of their IPs are static and saved by the DHCP server on PFsense. 3 of them I can reach no problem through the tunnel, but I cannot ping, ssh, or access the WebUI for Proxmox. All of them are in the same IP range 192.168.0.0/24, and the tunnel connects to this same address range. Things I have tried: Changing the IP (was originally 0.3, changed to 0.103 and 0.203 with no luck) wireshark pcap said network traffic (No useable data as it's encrypted in the VPN) recreating the VPN over a different port (no change) Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? I'm happy to take any assistance or ideas you may have.

Hey everyone, I've just installed Steam on my XPS 15 9560 and am attempting to download some games. Every game results in this problem - stuck on 'creating local game files.' I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the application, clearing the download cache, installing on a separate partition (both the steam application and the library), scanning the disk for issues and running as admin, including the Steam install. Upon trying to cancel the installation, Steam completely stops responding and crashes. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hello Since last year I've got new digital TV receiver. It is actually receiver + router. I found out that it cannot turn off WiFi without turning off router itself ( which means I won't have access to television ). The model is CISCO 4682 . I'm curious if I should change the receiver or there is some option with network switches. If someone can share some light on this topic I would greatly appreciate it Thanks Have a nice day.

So a temp 2012 R2 server im testing messed up with Server Essentials being installed for backup services, Im 99% sure this is a domain issue. The accounts set up on this server (locally) are supposed to log into "PKF-Paul", "PKF-Greg", however now the usernames log into "PKF-Paul.PKF-SERVER" or "PKF-Paul.PKFLOORINGINC" and so on, The issues with this is the user accounts on the local machine (Not Domain acc's) contain user files but the other accounts do not, and are acting like new logins. so when the users log in they don't have the users configuration or files. I have no intention of setting up domain services atm. I just want the user accounts to be able to log in locally and via RDP I have uninstalled all the roles and have attempted to revert the setting back to the point of how it was before with no luck and im going crazy trying to figure this out. Pic attached, user accounts are present but 2012R2 wont log into them instead opting for the .PKF-SERVER/.PKFLOORINGINC Any help is appreciated

Hello all, I am about to begin studying my second IT qualification. As part of my course, I have to work in a team to implement a help desk system across 3 campuses, as we have to collaborate for a real world project and this is our leader's choice. I am writing this post to see if anyone could supply some good suggestions for some help desk software that I can look into. These are the restrictions for our choices: Locally hosted Open-source Free Compatibility with multiple operating systems As far as our hardware is concerned, we have some decent workstation PCs, and we were just going to use one of them to run a server for the system, get everything set up and working on a reference system, and work on a method of distribution from there. We are looking at using Windows Server 2016, but if anyone has any Linux server options that work just as well in running a help desk system, please let me know. The majority of work stations across the campuses are running Windows 10, with some Mac machines available, but it is hard to say whether they are used for anything other than familiarization with Mac OS. We are currently looking at 2 options, Bugzilla and Spiceworks. If anyone has any opinions on those, then please let me know as well. Thank you in advance for any replies.

I need to find all the servers on the network and figure out what their DNS entries are and corresponding to their IP or host name I already have. I tried windows admin tools but it won't give me DNS no matter what I try, spent 8 hours in it last week. What windows based software can I use to solve this? **EDIT** Solved: I ended up getting access to the DNS server thanks to a manager who listened to me for once.
