Hello, I am running a ryzen 5 5600x with a msi 1050ti, and am getting constant lag spikes. Neither of them are overclocked at all. My os is Windows 11 21H2 64bit of course. My psu is a seasonic FOCUS PX-750 running at 750W. My motherboard is a gigabyte b550 gaming x (v.1 i think) bios version F14e. Haven't messed with any bios settings besides xmp. I also have 32gb of teamgroup t-force vulcan z ddr4 which is at 3200mhz, xmp is on didn't make a custom profile or anything just used the default one in the bios. I noticed this happening in DOOM 2016 and payday 2. It doesn't happen in league of legends though, haven't tried any other games. Here is a screenshot of doom showing the lagspike, it happens anywhere in the game even the menus. I also wasn't perfect at timing it but it seems its happening every 6 seconds.

Hello, its a chinese one I believe, I know its asian it doesn't have a brand really. The wifi looks like in the image below for some reason, and I don't know how to solve this problem, if you have any suggestions on what could I do it would be very appreciated. I can't connect via ethernet btw because the ethernet port of my laptop is broken. The access point is in router mode.
-
Hello, so basically the wifi of my access point that I'm using as a router has lag spikes of 100 to 220 ms for like 3 seconds every few minutes and, I saw that this could be cause because I have high or a lot of "bufferbloat" (you can search it up) and OpenWrt can be used to reduce it. Problem is, my access point is a "off-brand" I think, I think its chinese, it doesn't have an easily visible brand, so I'm not sure how to determine if this device would support OpenWrt or not, hope you guys can help me with that. If you guys need any more info to try and help me I can try to provide it to you, thats it, thank you in advance. NOTE: I can't connect via ethernet and the access point is close to me

So basically, I bought this access point, (maybe that it is a "generic" meaning that it doesn't have a brand really, has to do with this issue) while playing League of Legends my ping or ms every X amount of time goes from around 48ms to 100 - 130ms for like 5 seconds then goes back to normal, do you have any idea on why could this be happening? even if I have it literally next to me doesn't seem to solve the problem, if you have any questions to help me solve this I'll gladly answer, thats it, thank you in advance!

I could feel a bit lag while playing single player game, when I checked my fps it's 40up but the latency reaches about 20-40 sometimes spikes to about 50+ while playing games like in GTAV high graphic preset.

Hello. Every since I got wifi, when I play video games I get weird massive lag spikes every 30 seconds or so. If nothing is on in the entire house, the lag spikes still occur for some odd reason. It makes about every online game impossible to play. I've tried everything and cannot figure it out. I know it cannot be my console because I have tried it at a friends house and it works fine. Also, my brother tried his console and it did the same thing. I have turned the breaker box off, connected through ethernet, called my provider, and nothing seems to help. The spikes happen no matter what. The strange thing is, I used to be able to start up a live stream and that would cause the lag spikes to go away. This past month though, it has gotten much worse and the streams do not help anymore. I connected the wifi router's box directly to my playstation and it still does it. That means nothing in the house could be causing the lag issues I am experiencing. Does this mean there is a bad wire or what? Please help. I will attach a video and screen shot of the lag. Thank you. final_5fd987c933625000698af438_197934.mp4

I have tried everything including turning off the breaker box, trying a new router, resetting my console and wifi, contacting my internet provider. Nothing works, and it cannot be the console because it works at my friend's house (and my brother's does not work at my house either). For some reason, a live stream helped stop the lag spikes, but now that does not work anymore. It has gotten terrible, and I can no longer play games without dying to lag. Please help. final_5fd987c933625000698af438_197934.mp4

Hello, For a while now I've been experiencing small lag spikes (5 ~ 10 fps drops) that seem to happen every few seconds, however these lag spikes feel very massive (feels like it's dropping to 0) for a few milliseconds, and then it'll return back to regular fps until repeating the lag spikes. I originally thought that this was an issue with a game I was playing, however now I've noticed that it started happening in other games, as well as anywhere else. I've found that restarting my computer resolves this issue, but only temporarily (about an hour or so until the lag spikes return). I have absolutely no idea what could be causing this issue, I've tried updating my drivers but nothing has improved from doing so. I've also recently fully reset windows on my drive. It seems like a small issue, but it's driving me insane as to how consistent they occur. One thing I have noticed is that the fps that are dropped are not consistent at all, sometimes it may be 5, sometimes 10 and in worst cases 20 or so. My specs: GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 (FTW2) CPU: Ryzen 5 5600G RAM: 16gb (Ballistix DDR4) Motherboard: ROG STRIX B550-A GAMING PSU: EVGA 700 GD 700W 80+ Gold Power supply SSD: 550gb Crucial Any idea why this may be happening? Here is a video of it happening (recorded on a browser that shows fps), in the clip you'll be able to notice the lag spike, how intense it is and how often it occurs. Do keep in note, whilst recording that clip I only had the browser open and discord, nothing else, however even with everything closed the lag spikes continue. 2022-10-22 22-46-17.mp4 Any help on this or any suggestions on what could potentially be the issue would be of much help. Thanks

Hi, I dunno what to do I have been getting lag spikes in every game I play on my pc I have wired connection and my internet is fine. I have tried multiple troubleshooting guides and videos online tinkering with settings in my Ethernet config and even in my CMD with no result. I have attached a picture of a ping plotter app as I believe the problem to be with packet loss but I don’t know what it really means. any help would be great as I’m pulling my hair out trying to find the solution.

Hey guys, I built a PC around 10 months ago of the following specs and the power supply started failing about 4 months into building it. I only recently bought a new power supply and it ran fine. I then downloaded minecraft rtx and a new windows update and ever since a week, whenever I play a game like fortnite or csgo my game will drop to 5 fps from 240 every minute or two. Is the issue the power supply, the windows update or a new feature in the windows update that is limiting the PC. My computer is really strong and should be handling these games easily but even the fans are randomly spinning faster and making more noise. Appreciate the help from anyone who has something to say, Thank You. Every time I play a Triple AAA or power-demanding game I seem to have sudden lag spikes or FPS drops all of a sudden. When playing games power-demanding, such as Battlefield 1 or Squad (A FPS Milsim), these drops occur, though when playing lite titles like Civilization 5 or Minecraft, I don't seem to experience these drops at all. Also these drops also occur frequently during heavy scenes, such as a heavy fights or explosions, etc. These drops usually last at a max of 2 seconds, which doesn't seem long, its is very much noticeable and annoying. Just to note Civilization 5 is 32-bit, while Battlefield 1 and Squad are 64-bit, meaning my issues may deal with my memory and ram? Any ideas and suggestions of what is going will deeply appreciated. Thanks for your time and consideration :^] Also, if you request, I'll gladly send a screen recording showing my exact experiences with this problem. So I recently just bought a new hard drive because I had issues with my FPS in GTA V. The reason I thought the HDD was the issue is because most of the times when I was in-game it was pushed at 99-100%. Turns out that it improved my FPS overall , granted not by much , but I still have lag spikes from time to time when I go into highly populated areas. So now that I have that out of the way , what is causing these lag spikes? Here's a list of my PC specs : GPU : NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 960 2GB CPU : i3 4170 3.7 GHZ MEMORY : 4GB 1666 MHZ DDR3 STORAGE : SEAGATE 7200 RPM 1TB SATA III PSU : CORSAIR VS650 80 PLUS BRONZE

everything went to shiet with the windows 10 fall creators update... When in Game I get fps drops after every 5 sec.. GPU usage spiking with just OBS open... <-Video I got 16gb of DDR4 2667mhz ram and a Ryzen 5 1600 6c12t CPU that can't be the issue..I play H1z1 it uses 9-10gb of ram, and it doesn't use 99% of GPU.... it would stay around 50-60%... giving me 58fps FPS, but sometimes it does go 99% and I get smooth 80fps I re-installed the Display drivers too, but it still fails to fully utilize the GPU most of time.

First off, here's my specs i5 - 7600k STRIX Z270-E GAMING ATX LGA1151 Motherboard msi 1070 Recently, I have been experiencing random lag spikes down to around 30 FPS in my games, so i downloaded msi afterburner to check what was wrong, when i looked, when i got the lag spikes (which happened on all games, even ones with low requirements, for periods of 1 to 2 mins) it showed that my power and usage were rapidly jumping up and down for no reason, i have an acquitted power supply, i have all my gpu settings on default and i have not overclocked cpu nor gpu, or messed with anything in bios besides motherboard updates, which i know aren't the problem. I'm most likely leaving out some important details so please ask away. This is my power usage for my gpu, the lag is at the end where it spikes up and down, and the flat part is when i closed the game (crossout)

Hey guys I've been playing Skyrim SE for a couple weeks now without any problems. But today when I was fighting an Elder Dragon, very time it would make a fast landing (just slam into the ground without flapping it's wings) I'd get a massive lag spike from 30fps (yes I know I suck) to 1 fps, and sometimes it would stay until I would alt-f4 out of the game. I've never had lag like this since I started playing. the most I've seen it drop was to 29fps. I've also fought numerous dragons before this one and never had this happen I've tried lowering my settings from ultra to high and nothing changed. i tired testing my OC stability and it seems to be fine. Hello there, I have the new Asus gaming laptop (FX505DU) It has the following specs: - Ryzen 7 3750h - Single Channel 16Gb 2666Mhz Ram - GTX 1660ti - 512Gb SSD - 1080p 120hz panel I am having problems in all games where the CPU usage is just all over the place, it causes constant lag spikes as the games become unplayable, E.g. GTA V running at 15-20 FPS but going up to 60 fps sometimes and constant spikes and buildings disappearing sometimes as I turn the camera fast and look towards them I have tried a couple of things to fix this problem like reinstalling windows and updating the GPU drivers but I still have no luck... I have also tried: - Disabling anti virus - Stopping All programs I dont need open - Done the DDU process Here are some the FPS counts in the GTA V benchmark (I am using redux as well) at 720p very high settings Link: https://youtu.be/ktmTI96TJUI This whole entire benchmark the CPU was at 100% (Except in the loading sections) and the GPU was at around 30-50% Usage The V-sync is at half but I get the exact same framerates with it off I have seen a review on this laptop and they get way better and when I mean way better I mean waaaaaaay better framerates than me on this exact same laptop with the same specs and everything. Games that require little amounts of CPU run like a dream. Now CPU Temps... Thats all... Any suggestions on a fix?

CPU is not overclocked, temps are not higher then 70°C on cpu and gpu. Ram is running at 3200Mhz and my internet connection is good. I watched the cpu & gpu usage in msi afterburner, the gpu usage drops down causing short fps lags every 5min. Need help please! (First picture is usage in Fornite, 2nd in Witcher 3

Hello! So I've been playing Warframe and CS GO and I have great internet with ~27 Download and ~15 Upload but I've been getting really annoying ping spikes, for example if the ping in Warframe is around 80 it spikes to 500 or more. The same thing happens in CS GO where if the ping is around 50 it spikes up to 200 and 300+. Any help would be highly appreciated.

Yesturday, I had problems deleting this program called, UDPixel. A post said to delete the Regedit files labeled by that company or name. Ever since then, I have been getting these 2 second lag spikes in a game, from 20 ping to 200 ping. I know that deleting certain Regedit files can really mess up the computer, but I made sure to delete the ones labled as UDPixel, nothing else. So, can deleting a Regedit for a specific program actually damage things like my Wifi? Also, can a CPU overheating cause these lag spikes? My CPU gets to around 70 degrees while playing but these lag spikes only occurred after I deleted the UDPixel regedit.

I have noticed in the past month or so while doing long gaming sessions after about an hour or so i get audio popping and severe lag spikes in game. I did a quick google search and downloaded this monitoring tool called latency mon. I saw that all the bars were red and it recommended that i update my bios. I updated my bios, re enabled xmp in the bios and started my pc back up. Ran latency mon again and all the bar's were green. I thought that i had fixed the issue but it seems still after an hour or so of gaming the audio popping and lag spikes come back. I monitor all my temps while gaming, made sure that my cpu profile was on full performance mode and not power saving mode. I have also tried uninstalling and re installing the realtek audio drivers. At this point i have no idea what is causing the lag spikes and audio popping/crackling. I'm pretty sure the audio and lag spikes are a side effect of something else going on. Any suggestions? Also may i add that if i am in the wrong part of the forum i apologize, I'm hoping if that's the case someone will steer me in the right direction. Thank you in advance for your time and advice. BUT yesterday I turned on the PC after whole day at work .. and tried BF 1 right after cold start and it was without ANY!!!! spikes. But after playing 2 games of PUBG I went back to BF 1 and spikes were back again. There is no FPS drop - It feels like some kind of stuttering (0,1 sec freez).I have 0 programs running (chrome etc.. everyting is closed). No OC.. everything is stock.I spent so much money on this .. and feel really desperate because I don't know what to do to enjoy gaming again :X.So what I've already done before posting this:1) updated bios2) clean Win 10 home reinstall3) new nvidia drivers 390.65 via DDU4) HDTune shows zero errors in status5) CPU and GPU Temps are OK (regarding the screenshot above)6) moving games (AC: Origins, Hellblade, BF 1) on SSD did not help = totally same performance in game as on HDD7) games like CS:GO, Overwatch running great (both on HDD at the moment)8) things that are running during my tests are ESET Smart Security Premium, (sometimes Discord, Steam/Origin/Uplay)9) power management in Win10 switched to - high performance (there I turned off ''sleep HDD'' in 0 minutes)If there is anyone who can help me with the issue .. it would be great. I already don't know what to do to be honest.Thank you very much guys.

Hi all, I've been having stuttering issues for the past 2 years. For example, I have stable 150 fps in Smite( Graphics at minimum) so when I try to open the store the game drops to 0 fps and the screen freezes for about a second and goes back to 150 constant fps,it also randomly happens while playing(every few seconds to a minute) Also happens in CSGO too or any online game. It started somewhere around 2015 and at the time I thought it was just my old HDD so later on that year I got a new 1TB HDD and 240 gigs SSD. Surprisingly that didn't fix it, so since then I've been trying everything. I've tested the RAM and it is not corrupt neither the system seems to be running out of memory.Same goes for both drives, they show perfect health state. I did many stress tests and the CPU is stable on every one of them.I also monitored the temperatures and GPU doesn't go above 76 degrees celsius while playing heavy games (Watch Dogs) and CPU stays around 55-60 degrees,so its not overheating either. I did a clean windows 10 install, deleted all previous drivers for the card and downloaded the newest ones, tried disabling the shaders cache and enabling triplebuffering , vsync, disabling the nvidia audio driver since I saw that on other threads and nothing. I even changed the GPUs thermal paste. Some time ago I had found a temporary 'fix' which was recording whatever game I played with OBS, somehow there was no stutter while recording, but recently I started having severe fps drops when there were too many entities to load so that wasn't an option anymore. So since I'm currently using a TV as a monitor I thought it might be the refresh rate, therefore I borrowed an actual monitor to try but the stutter was still there.I also got a friends' GPU to try with my rig and there was no stutter, completely gone. So I assume my graphics card is the problem. It might have got damaged by the heat, but that's just a guess since I had a bad PC case two years ago, cannot be sure of it since I haven't seen any burn marks on it. Any reccomendations on what could be the issue or the solution are very apreciated. My rig: i7 3770k 3.50-3.90Ghz (Which I overclocked to 4.10Ghz) Nvidia Gtx770 Oc version 8 gigs of RAM (one stick) 1TB HDD and 240 gigs SSD 750W PSU And mobo is Gigabyte B75M-D3H
