I was wondering if i could replace my cherry mx speed switches on my k95 since i like cherry mx black's better but i dont want a new keyboard. I still want rgb so can i use the rgb from the keyboard now or do i have to find switches with rgb. I know i Will loose my warranty but my warranty has already expired. Reason i want to replace the switches: i like cherry mx black's better and some og the switches are broken

Hey LinusTechtips community, I just recently bought a Corsair K95 vengeance white led keyboard. Not all makro keys are working. I played around with it a little bit and some more started working. Has anyone some suggestions? Also the firmware update does not semm to work. Thanks for your help.

I'm trying to find replacement keycaps for my Corsair K95 keyboard. The problem is, they use nonstandard keycaps. So, other than the rather ghastly translucent ones from MAX keyboard, what else is there on the market in this category?

Hey LTT community, i can get a corsair K95 Vengeance white led keyboard for 80 euros in new condition, i want to use it for 3D editing shortcuts. Is there any difference to the RGB version besides the switches and the lighting? Are there any other keyboards with lots of macro keys? Thank you for the awnsers.

I recently purchased a K95 RGB keyboard and have been more than happy with it. A few days ago, just after updating CUE to version 2.10.71, I noticed that the letter "F" was light blue. The profile I was using at the time set all the typing keys to white. Upon further experimentation, it seems like the red LED in the "F" key is broken/disabled. Any way to fix this using the software? Is it a glitch in the new CUE? I have already tried reinstalling CUE and force updating firmware. Any help would be MUCH appreciated!

Hello, I have a Vengeance K95 (Non-RGB) and yesterday it stopped working. My pc has a problem and it takes about 20 min to boot in the system. In that 20 min a blue screen appears and the pc restarts the sequence. When Windows finally appears I noticed the back-light of the keyboard was turned off and when i pressed a key it didn´t happen anything, but in the Device Manager it does appear. The guarantee is void Someone has any solution for this problem ?

Hello guys! I'm currently rocking a Logitech G610 Orion Brown keyboard, of which I really like. I have this keyboard for over a year and I really like it. Back when I bought it, this was the perfect entry level keyboard, but now I want more. I gathered some upgrades that I thought would serve me perfectly, yet I can't decide which one, because where I live is hard to get your hands on a demo model to test it out. The first one I obviously came across is the G810 Spectrum. Same mode, but with RGB. This seem a good idea, but for the same price, I can get a Corsair K70 RGB. This includes a wrist-rest, USB passthrough (for mouse, or whatever), has RGB, and a different design, which I like. The problem here is whether to buy a LUX variant, or not. The LUX one is cheaper, and doing a little search, I found nearly nothing more. The only difference I found is that the non-lux has normal, non gamery fonts. Are there any other differences? What is the TradeOff? This is unclear. Now moving to the higher pricegroup, I layed my eyes on the K95 Platinum. It is truly beautiful, but does it worth extra 40 bucs? You get a 2-in-1 wrist-rest, some macrokeys (I routed a lot to my mouse), and an RGB line on the top, where you literaly can't see it. Is the K95 Platinum worth the extra $30-$40 over the K70 RGB models, or not? TLDR: Help me choose a keyboard. Thank you in advance!

so I woke up this morning to do my daily activities and discovered that some keys don't type what they probably should e.g. shift 2 gives @ and shift ' gives" I spoke to a friend and they said it is to do with input language but nor me or him can figure it out, hopefully someone can help, my os is the newest version of windows 10 if that helps any

Hi all I have been looking for a new keyboard for my setup and school, I am looking on the refurbished market and they two options that look good and I can afford refurbished are the k70 and the slightly more expensive k95. However i would highly value a magnetic wrist rest over a non magnetic one, I know from a friend that the k70 has a non magnetic wristrest but I cannot find if the k95 has a magnetic wrist rest or not so if anyone knows could you plz let me know, thanks.

After spilling liters of different liquid over 3 years on Quickfire TK blueswitch keyboard it sayd, im done, i've watched a honderds of videos about new keyboard and what they can offer to and this 3 keyboard apply to my need but still they're all a bit of different kind ,so basically i want to choose a new one from: Razer blackwidow chroma v2 G810 romer g K95 platinum cherry mx speed black Personally Im gonna go to shop in couple of days and test razer and g810 but there aro no K95 in there. What can you advice from your personal view on things, mostly i play Overwatch and other games time to time.

Hi, So I finally got myself a k95, love it, but I am slightly confused about some stuff in Cue. -First, why can't I have one of my profiles set to, for example, the preset rainbow wave from the normal view and another set to an advanced view profile? -How do I enable the "link profile to program feature"? (it's greyed out for me) thanks in advance! cheers

I do not own a k95 but from all the reviews and unboxings I can tell that it has almost everything I looked for in a keyboard but it has some things that really do not make me to buy one (price is also one of them). It is a gaming keyboard and Corsair did a good job with it's gaming features (unlike other manufactures that say it's for gaming but does not even have programable buttons, what a f*cking joke) like textured and differently shaped WASD and side keys, dual sided palm rest, f*ckig awesome RGB and customization but it has no compact form. Like wtf, is for gaming, what gamer prefers a numpad over mouse moving space???? Also, a microphone and heaphone jack and a slimmer cable ( use a 3.1 type C connector ) would make it unbeatable, can't think anything that you can bring to upgrade that keyboard. Am in the process of RGBing um my system and of course that means a new keyboard. I'm a casual gamer and occasionally stream or upload to YouTube. I don't like the clickyness that seems to be synonymous with most mechanical key switches to the point I keep a membrane keyboard hooked up as a backup. Now enough background let's get to the keyboards. I think I have made up my mind between the corsair K95 RGB Platinum (reds) or the corsair Strafe RGB (silent). K95 Platinum (around $150 through my office) PROs -Premium look and feel (with a big ol' corsair trampstamp right across the top :-] ) - actuall media keys -macro keys (i would find these useful) -RGB CONs -Price (its more expensive) -RGB is not as good as Strafe -not offtered in mx silents _____________________________________________________ Strafe RGB (around $100 through my office) PROs -Cherry MX Silents ( this is a HUGE plus for me I like the way they sound and might even consider throwing out my backup keyboard) -Even better RGB (I mean the RGB on this thing is amazing and I would feel confident calling it hands down the best RGB on the market) -Price (its less expensive) CONs -media controls are on function keys (I already sometimes have issues where 1 function key dose 2 things and I have to remap it) -no macro keys (I like these and on a high end keyboard would kind of expect at least a few) -looks less flashy (also has small understated branding no big Corsair trampstamp)

So I've been trying to find a good keyboard, and I've run into a lot of problems. I don't want the k70, because it doesn't have macros, but it has the switch I want(blues), I don't like the k95 because it doesn't have the switches I like, I hate the 2 options, and I don't like the razer one because it only has 5 macros, but I like all the other stuff. I just don't know what to get. I play dota 2 and I play meepo and I want to get a keyboard with a lot of macros so I can play super fast. What do I get? Price isn't an issue

Hi, I'm getting the Corsair K95 RGB. I do a lot of video editing but I also love playing games for long durations on the weekends. I play games of almost any genre and I sometimes type up long research papers. What type of key switch would you suggest for me? The Cherry MX Reds or Cherry MX Browns? I need something truly for all-purpose use. Thank you.

Corsair just announced 2 new products! The K95 Platinum and the Scimitar Pro. The two new devices both have hardware playback for the first time! The hardware playback is limited in certain ways. Not all of the actions and lighting effects supported by CUE 2 will be able to run off of hardware playback. The scimitar got a DPI boost, to 16K, with a new tunable sensor. So that's good news if you liked tuning your mice. Before the Scimitar Pro this feature was only available in the M65 Pro. Oh and it does come in black this time right off the bat. Thank god for black! One small gripe they got rid of one of the DPI switches and rebound it to switch profiles... Not the best idea, flipping through 4 DPI settings just to lower your DPI by one level is frankly a tad annoying. The scimitar doesn't look any different from the non pro version, but damn the K95 platinum has has a partial make over and it's looking sexy. The K95 Platinum will come in the black finish shown here or gun metal gray. And starts at 200 USD with your choice of browns or speeds. Sadly there are no reds... boooooo. One more thing to note. The media keys, and 3 keys at the top left are not as bright as the rest of the keyboard. This is based off my observation of a sample that was given to me by Corsair. So hopefully this is fixed in the final release. I've used both devices for a week now and while I didn't find a use for the hardware playback on the mouse, I did enjoy having my macros on my K95 as I moved from place to place. It could use more macro options like all of the ones CUE provides on a software level but this is a good start considering no one else is doing anything like this. I'm on the last roundup on finishing the specs list and leave it for ordering through a retailer. Besides the pretty large specs, the following are the peripherals list. 1. Corsair K95 RGB Mechanical Keyboard (Cherry MX Red) 2. Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum Tunable Gaming Mouse I prefer Hard Mouse pad more than soft flexible type one's. If it's soft mouse pad is definitely to go for, suggest me the large one's with stitched edges like the Glorious Extended Mouse Pad. Never mind if there's RGB or not, But should balance with the mouse and the Black Corsair RGB keyboard (Maybe all black mouse pad with minimal logo), I've large hands and there's only palm movements and not hard movements on mouse with hands. Liked so far are, Corsair MM800 RGB, Roccat Alumic, Razer Destructor V2, Razer Invicta, Razer Manticor, Corsair MM300 Extended, Glorious Extended Mouse Pad

Just like the title, spacebar in my keyboard is currently close to not working at all. It does not work when trying to use normally, only detects press when pushing aluminium plate down on the right side of the switch, and then it doesn't detect holding it down, but instead detects second press on the upstroke, which makes the button not usable. The reason behind it is i did hit the keyboard, so it is clearly my fault, but i really want to fix it, so does anybody know what can i do? Before you ask, yes, I've tried software fixes like soft reset and reinstalling icue, obviously no result, since i already know it is physical damage.

So I’ve had a Corsair k95 plat, I enddd up returning it because my left shift key felt extremely odd and not mechanical, so I got different switches next time around, and a different kB. I got a k70 mk2 cherry mx red. But again, some of my keys feel like they’re mushy or something. So I know it’s not a defect because it’s happened twice. My question, does Corsair use O-Rings on some of their keys? Is there a way to fix this?
