I just build a almost a new rig. only kept GPU and Drives. Intel i9 13900K Nvidia rtx 2070 super Corsair DDR5 2x16GB 6000Mhz ASUS ROG STRIX B760-F EVGA Supernova 1000 GT First of, i know i got a huge bootleneck between cpu and gpu, i will upgrade to a 4090 in the future. Everything works fine, checked all the connections, cleaned all the pins with alcohol and so on, the weird thing is, if i restart the pc the light is gone. With the cpu light it's like that, when, for example i play gta 5 the light turns on, some games it's off, some games it turns on occationaly. so it might be just be some bios settings i hope. all components work fine. Did a Benchmark before upgrading and after and the results look good. Does anybody has and idea what causes this also posting the results of the before and after benchmarks.

Hi guys, I really need some help here. I juat finished putting all together all the parts I bought. MSI B450M pro-vdh max Ryzen 5 3600 Team Group Elite DDR4 3200 (2x8gb) with Sapphire RX 550 2gb when i tried to start the parts for the first time, it wont post / show anything on the screen. And the indicator from the ez debug led from my mobo turn on at CPU and DRAM. I plug the hdmi cable to my vga card, not to my mobo. please help what should i do to fix the problem..

Problem description. PC crashes at random times, black screen while fans keep spinning, RGB strip also on, CPU LED lights up on the motherboard and no more audio coming through. To get my system running again, I have to press restart switch on my case. Before the crash, audio sounds distorted/loops/freezes for half second or so, if there is any audio playing while the crash happens. What I have tried to fix the problem: RMA'd CPU, Motherboard, RAM, PSU, and SSD as advised by Mindfactory (company i purchased parts from) they told me everything is fine and sent it back to me. Reinstalling windows (clean install), Reinstalling all drivers, Updating BIOS(3 different versions), reseating the CPU, reseating GPU, using a different GPU (r7 260x 1gb sapphire oc), reseating RAM, unplugging and plugging all cables, ran memtest86 (zero errors), I've ran benchtests like cinebench, heaven benchmark, prime95 and Intel burn test multiple times to try and recreate the crash but i had no luck. All temps look fine, crash also happened plenty of times while my PC was idle with temps 30c-35c. I've also had the crash happen on 3 different monitors with 3 different cables. Additional details. I used to have XMP enabled and ran my RAM on 2933mhz, then i turned the XMP off and ran my ram at 2133mhz to see if that was causing my problem. I thought the problem went away with XMP off but today my PC crashed again with everything set on stock, no OC anywhere at all and XMP turned off (even thought i think XMP should work with my configuration). Only thing i noticed is, when XMP is turned on the crashes are more frequent. For example, PC ran fine for 2 months with XMP off then all of the sudden it crashed, and with XMP on it crashed in 15 days. All in all, crashes are random, sometimes they happen 2 times in 20 mins and sometimes it takes 2 months. I've been dealing with this ever since I bought it(1 year ago) and cant seem to find what's causing the problem. Also can't figure out a way on how to recreate the crash, that would be really helpful. Any tips/info are greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hello, all! As stated in the title, I've been experiencing intermittent freezing for a couple of seconds before a blank screen appears and the CPU LED on my motherboard lights a solid red. All peripherals power off as they no longer recieve power from the USB ports, and the monitors lose signal from the GPU. The rest of the PC seems to run fine (CPU fan, case fans, and GPU fans remain spinning). First and foremost, here are my computer specs: AMD Ryzen 5 1600 MSI B450 TOMAHAWK (BIOS ver. 7C02v1H3 Beta for futureproofing) G.Skill Ripjaws V 16GB DDR4-3600 (running at 2667) Sapphire Radeon RX 580 NITRO+ 8GB (driver ver. 21.3.1) Corsair CX650 80+ Bronze Non-modular PSU WD Blue 500GB SATA M.2 2280 SSD WD Blue 500GB SATA 2.5" SSD WD Blue 1TB 7200 RPM HDD Enermax ECB3090 ATX Mid-tower Case Dual-monitor setup with differing resolutions and refresh rates I've already tried resetting and doing a clean install of Windows 10 to clear up any potential driver incompatibilty issues. I've cleared the CMOS by removing the cell battery from the motherboard and replacing it. I've reseated the CPU, RAM, and every power cable from the PSU. I've also downgraded the BIOS to 7C02v1E, 7C02v1D, and 7C02v1C to find they have similar results. For context, I had recently had the Ryzen 1600 overclocked to 3.8GHz on 1.285V with load temps in the mid-70s to low-80s on the stock cooler. The memory was also run at its stock speeds over XMP at 3600MHz as that seemed to be stable. The overclock was applied over a time period of about two months after having had the CPU for over three years. However, as soon as I started experiencing this issue, I suspected the CPU might be having issues maintaining the overclock due to its age, and I reset the motherboard back to its optimized defaults. Despite this, the issue persisted. It has been nearly a week since I first encountered this issue. I also looked into this potentially being a GPU driver issue, but I have yet to see any acknowledgements of such in the AMD release notes or on various hardware forums. The GPU has not been manually overclocked by me. I'm not sure what other details I should provide, so feel free to let me know if you need further information. I appreciate any and all help.

I'm hoping someone can help. I recently just installed a new 6tb WD Blue HDD in my rig. This is now the 4th HDD in my rig along with a 1tb WD Blue, a 3tb WD Blue and a 3tb Toshiba. The computer worked perfectly fine for a full day with the case open as I was transferring data from an older, dying WD Green drive. I removed said dying drive, closed her up and powered it on. Again, worked perfectly fine for 8+ hours. Shut it down for the night, turn it on the next day, it powers on, fans and LEDs are running, but nothing on the screen. I tried two different monitors with 2 different HDMI cables and neither recognize a signal. The video card is new, I just installed it 9 months ago. I open the case back up and I notice the CPU LED on the mobo is solid red whenever I power it up. I tried reseating the CPU, the RAM and the video card. Made sure all cables were secure. Tried removing the RAM, tried just one stick of RAM. Tried unplugging the new HDD. All with the same result: powers up, nothing on the screen, all fans and LEDs running and the CPU LED still solid red. I'm trying to avoid buying a new PSU, CPU and mobo trying to figure out which one is to blame (hopefully none of I'm missing something simpler) so I was hoping someone with more knowledge than me might be able to narrow it down better. I built this computer quite a while ago so I'm aware that the mobo and CPU are quite old at this point. Just hoping they still have life in them. My main curiosity is that everything has been working perfectly fine for a long time and it just happens to go down 2 days after installing a new HDD, which leads me to lean towards the PSU, if anything. But I've had to replace the PSU a few times during the life of this rig and never has it triggered the CPU LED. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! Hello, first and foremost I apologize if my message doesn't fit the Forum's "style" it's my first time making one, in fact I usually find everything I need on already existing ones, but I feel like I tried everything I could, so here I am. I have had this PC for almost 2 years now everything was working perfectly fine : CPU : Intel I7-11700k GPU : Zotac RTX 3070ti RAM : 2x8G 3600Mhz to whom I added another exact same 2x8G 3600Mhz a month ago MoBo : MSI Z590 Plus SSD(OS : Win10) : Samsung 980 Pro 1Tb M.2 nvMe HDD : Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm 1Tb SSD : Crucial MX500 250Gb PSU : Corsair CX750M One day I pushed my power button expecting windows to boot, and nothing happened, instead I had the Windows Boot screen (the loading dots thing) frozen, I thought it was weird, so I tried troubleshooting, so I restarted and entered bios to access to the troubleshooting reboot menu of windows, there I verified the OS files, tried a few things, safely ofc, and when it rebooted, it worked. I thought I had fixed it, but 2 days after I got the same thing happening, so I thought I'd do the same thing, but this time after I forced shut down and turned the pc back on, there was nothing. The GPU was on, fans were running, aaaand that CPU Red Led (attached file) was lit too. So I googled it, and tried those steps : CMOS Reset - PC booted once after that, but after I went into the bios to get my old settings back (resize bar and xmp merely), the issue came back CMOS battery replacement - PC booted after again, 2 times, then after putting BIOS settings back, cpu red light came back again. Cleaned the whole PC (physically), changed thermal paste, checked if there was anything wrong with the CPU's Socket, or if there was any pin that was broken, everything was clear and clean, did a CMOS reset as I was cleaning everything. This time I did NOT tweak BIOS to check if it was the source if my problems. It booted, once, then I restarted it to test it, annnd it didn't boot, but this time, IT WAS THE DRAM ORANGE LED. So removed all the ram I had except one, and put it on the first slot, dram led was still on, so I tried with another RAM stick, still on the same slot, and it booted. Expecting it to fail again, I made a save of all the files that were on the nvMe on my HDD just in case, then performed a clean reinstall (Win10), (the windows installer froze 2 times and I had to restart it, worked on third try), everything worked fine so I put the RAM back in, it worked again, so I kept updating drivers and had to restart a few times for that, and as expected, it failed after 2 or 3 restarts as I was updating everything. CPU Red Led again. I honestly don't know what to do anymore, so I have several questions, but the two main ones are these : - What is possibly going on ? - How can I fix that, if I can ? (EDIT : just tried to turn it on again to take a picture of the Red Led and it just seemed worked, I didn't touch anything, but the system completely froze on the Win10 lock screen). Anybody can help me with that please ?

So I built my first build about a month or two ago and have been having the CPU led stay on, which is a diagnostic light, and have been getting no display on my moniter throughout the entire time and have been attempting ever since been trying to troubleshoot and fix the problem. I've tried checking all connections, having the bear minimum set up, checking for a bent pin and making sure I have the correct orientation of my CPU, having no and different places with RAM, taking out the battery from the mobo for 15 seconds, and putting my mobo outside of the case on nonconducter and starting up. This has been a bit of a frustrating process especially after finally building my first computer and if i cant find the issue I'm going to just get it looked at by someone who knows better than I but if someone here could help me that would be greatly appreciated by both me and my wallet. Please help!!! I'm stuck on an endless turn on - shutdown loop. New pc, gigabyte aorus gaming 3 MB, i7 7040x cpu, 1300W evga psu. Installed everything just as the manual said I should. I'm stuck with this boot loop and the cpu led is what turns on in the mobo. Tried replacing psu for the original evga 650 i bought for it - didn't work either. Swapping ram sticks didn't do the trick. Cleared CMOS with no results. Everything brand new. What can be wrong???? Agahahahhahahaag

If i boot with 2 ram dims at the same time i dont even get to bios, only turned on fans. Tried 1-3 and 2-4 If i boot with 1 ram dim in a random slot it works. Tried each ram stick individually and they work fine alone. Any tips?? this is a really frustrating issue - Ram is all new and same kind

Help me LTT, you're my only hope! My (archaic) gaming rig will not boot, this is my first build so it holds some great sentimental value. Issue: PC will not post, if all power connections are intact, the CPU light will flash once (pause) flash again and then the power is cut. If I disconnect the CPU 8PIN, the rig will stay running, but with no post (CPU not powered). I have put my CPU in a bench and swapped out PSU to narrow down the culprit; as well as the infamous RAM swap (but MEM light is never triggered, only CPU) I am suspecting MOBO issue, but wondering if there is any repair/fix to clear the issue. hi all, in september i built a brand new pc and without any hiccups. but for some reason today i was playing forza horizon 4 and the whole pc froze my keyboard and mouse turned off (indicated by the rgb) and i had to hold the power button down to turn it. off shrugging it off thinking it was just a crash but when i decided to turn the pc back on for some reason it would turn on but immediately turn off and it was a loop so i decided to troubleshoot and re seat the ram and the problem was solved but now i have no display and the EZ debug on my MSI mobo is flashing white LED alternatiing between the CPU and DRAM. I recently tried to install a new i9 9900k in replacement for my i5 9600k to which every time I would boot the system, I would get past the bios screen and windows would begin to load but fail. My first boot looked promising as it detected a new cpu and once it told me to set it up in the bios, it displayed the right frequency and everything. I’ve tried numerous layouts with my ram sticks, to no avail, and I tried putting my i5 back into my pc and it booted into windows just fine. Sometimes it would tell me that it’s “preparing automatic repair” but freezes every time. I’m not sure if it’s shorting anywhere because of how it booted fine with my i5 put back in the system. I’ve reset the bios numerous times and tried messing with the ram speeds not exceeding their rated speed. Motherboard lights: Every time I tried turned on the system, the cpu light and dram lights would blink in some way (cpu first), followed by a short blink of the vga light and the boot light would hold until the system inevitably froze. So everything seems normal as I turn my PC on. About 5 seconds in, The CPU Led flashes once right before shutting my computer down completely. Any idea what the problem might be? Okay. So I bought a new CPU , and just now a new power supply, what is the problem with my pc?! It turns on for a few seconds, CPU led turns on once right before shutting my whole thing down...

I recently bought new ram. Little did I know that a simple task such as replacing ram would end up with my pc not booting at all.I placed the new ram in and it booted fine, told me it recognized new components so I had to go into bios or launch with default timings. I went into bios to fix my settings (i had a stable overclock cpu at 3.7 ghz / 1.35V before replacing ram) and I turned on a-xmp for my ram. Exited bios, and it wouldn't boot. I tried to leave it on for 10 minutes so it could reset at POST but internal power was lost after about 6 minutes.I pulled the mobo battery for 5 seconds and managed to get it to boot again. This time i used default timings to get to desktop screen, everything worked ok. So i turned off the pc and went into bios. this time I ONLY changed my cpu overclock settings, again to what I had them before replacing my ram. turned of PC to restart and now I'm back to square one; no boot. I tried pulling battery again for 5 seconds, but this time it didn't work, still no boot. Then I shorted the CMOS pins as instructed in the manual. I turned on, no boot but the CPU and DRAM debug lights on the mobo are on, and the PC stays internally powered for as long as I keep it on. I still don't get any power to usb or monitor signal. so i noticed the first time i tried to update windows it said as usual you have to restart in order for the updates to work i said ok restart my PC screen went black and the CPU LED turned on to red and wouldnt START again so i dont know i looked up a bit and people think it might be a pin that is bent or something my specs i5-4690K ASUS Z87-A

Just installed my new Corsair H110i GT on my system, and right after, the system wont POST. The red CPU LED is lit up, and I get a 00 Q-Code. System Specs: 5820k Asus X99-A USB 3.1 motherboard Corsair AX860 PSU Gigabyte G1 Gaming 980ti Details: When I installed the new cooler, I kept the old cooler (CM Hyper 212 EVO) on the CPU and tested the fans and pump before I mounted it onto the CPU, at this point, the computer booted just fine. I was very happy that everything worked, especially after a huge pain in the neck with a cooler master AIO. So I uninstalled the CM 212, routed my cables, and installed the pump to the CPU. Monitor does nothing, says its receiving no signal. So I figured I could have knocked the DVI cable or something, so I replaced it with a new Displayport Cable, still no signal, BUT when I plugged the new cable to it, the monitor recognized that a GPU had been installed, it just said "No Signal." So the connection is fine, but the system isn't outputting signal. I didn't have to unplug any power connectors for the Motherboard to install the cooler, but I went ahead and reseated each power connector just in case. The cooler runs just fine, fans and pump, GPU lights turn on and fans spin, everything seems normal except its not booting. I have looked online, but could not find a definitive answer aside from RMA the CPU or MOBO. I don't understand how something like changing a cooler could destroy a CPU or MOBO. I didn't over tighten the pump block, as the I just finger tightened the thumb screws that came with it. Any help here would be seriously appreciated!

I recently had a Mobo blow a MOSFET. I replaced it with an Asus Sabertooth 990fx R2.0. After assembly on the test bench, I have a solid red cpu led. *System specs: *FX 6350 *Cooler Master Seidon 120v Cooler *Asus Sabertooth 990fx R2.0 *8gb (2x4) Kingston Hyper-x Blu red series 1600 Ram *R9-290 *Corsair Tx750m Powersupply *Things I have tried already to no avail: *Clear CMOS *Replace Cmos battery *Quadruple check and reseat 24 pin power connector and 8 pin cpu power connector *Reseat CPU multiple times *Check CPU for bent or damaged pins with magnifying glass *Replace Liquid cooler with Stock Heatsink and fan *Flash BIOS 1604 to Mobo *Tried with 2 sticks, 1 stick, and no sticks of ram *Tried a different known good power supply *All of the above again with know good power supply I used thermal paste and isopropyl alcohol respectively each time I reseated the CPU and cooler/heatsink. The CPU fan/pump spins up but the CPU-LED stays solid red. If you have any ideas or suggestions while I wait on the new CPU to come in I would be glad to give them a shot. My computer is having processor problems. I have an H100 to install when i get a new case. My parts are as follows: Processor: AMD FX-6100 6 core & AMD FX-4100 4 core RAM: 8GB (2x4GB) of Patriot G2 series 1333MHz (9-9-9-24) 1.5V Cooler: Stock (for now) Motherboard: ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0 & ASUS M5A99X EVO Optical drive: Generic RW DVD drive Hard drive: Seagate Barracuda Green 1TB Video card: XFX Radeon HD 5570 (i'll upgrade after i get my computer working) Power supply: Thermaltake 450W (nothing special) Case: AZZA Orion (red and black version) When i try booting the, CPU LED stays lit during POST and no others light nor flash. This occurred about 2 years ago and i got a new motherboard and CPU and troubleshooted both CPUs on MOBOs before i realized my power supply was set to 230V *derp* (FYI i live in USA) i switched it to 115V. I put my computer on the carpet (no other choice), dont worry, my house IS grounded, i connected it to a TV through HDMI (closest thing at hand) i got to the windows 7 login screen. Then i turned around for 2 minutes to help my brother. I turn back around and the TV is blank and the CPU LED is solid once again. After swapping between the 2 processors and motherboards once again, it still stays lit. I will have an IT specialist look at my computer soon. But, if any one can help me on here, that would be very helpful. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you all.
