Hello My dad gave me his old apple monitor, because the computer does’t work anymore, but the monitor does. It has the apple mini display port and I bought an adapter to USB-C, so that I could connect my Apple MacBook Pro with it. It all worked well now I bought a windows PC which my boyfriend built for me. I don’t want to buy a new monitor since I already have the Apple one (and I’m honest - it fits my home aesthetic) So I was hoping I could connect my monitor to the PC! I bought an apple mini display port adapter to connect to my PC - but it didn’t work… Does anybody have a solution or is apple going to make me buy a new monitor? Here are some photos of the Monitor (I know the cable is broken get of my back)

Hello, I am wondering if there is a ceiling light out there that is able to be controlled via an elgato streamdeck? I came across this thing called a switch bot (https://www.amazon.com/SwitchBot-switch-button-controlled-compatible/dp/B07B7NXV4R/) that can turn on and off lights via an app and/or something called IFTTT. Im not really sure what IFTTT is but I think it may be able to be controlled via a streamdeck from the little I could figure out about it. Got to thinking that a smart light might be better but I have no idea what I am looking for or if what I want to do it possible with a ceiling light and would appreciate any help or advice. Just lookin for a nice bright ceiling light i can turn on and off with a streamdeck and possibly also set it up to turn on/off at certain times. RGB would be cool but not necessary. I was looking into phillips hue but they seem to only have actual lightbulbs, i currently have this thinner LED light lighting my room now and am trying to find something similar to that. Any help or better understanding of this task is appreciated.

I'm using the built in music player of Opera GX, which has Spotify. Sadly, Spotify on the web tops at 256kbps, but in the desktop client it can do 320kbps. If I control everything in Opera (web), but I make it so it reproduces in the desktop client, will the bitrate quality be the one from the web app or the desktop client?

Not asking for any help but I figured I’d pass along something that worked for me. I have an H115i RGB Platinum and had issues with it randomly not showing in iCue. I was also getting constant device connect/disconnect alerts from Windows. These would cause freezes in at least one game (MSFS2020) and annoy the hell out of me. The H115i was connected to a Commander Pro so I assumed that was not the issue. Turns out it was. I picked up a NZXT internal USB hub, hooked the H115i to it, and problem is solved. Hope this helps other folks with the same issue.

Hi guys, I need help to see what's on the screen (remotely or not) on my "crashed" PC. The situation is the following : My PC partially crashed and I need to save unsaved data. It's like a crash but my computer it still accessible from the network (LAN and Internet). At this very moment, I have no signal on my displays and all my USB ports seem to be not working anymore. The LEDs of My RGB keyboards went off a few minutes after this kind of crash occurs. Other USB devices like camera, USB sticks had still the built-in LED on. I tried to unplug and plug again these devices but it was like if there is no more power through the USB ports (devices LED didn't lit anymore). I also tried to turn off and on again my monitors. Before I did that there was still a signal, but the image was frozen. After I turned on the displays, I just got the message "No signal". Since yesterday, I try to access my computer to save the data, but to no avail. I have tried the following : Connect a PS/2 keyboard to try to use it blindy. Plug/Unplug USB devices and monitors (DP) to see if something happens. Access remotly via TeamViewer (not sure if this guy is running on the PC and don't know the ID) and via Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP is unfortunately deactivated in the System Properties). Using Command Prompt and Windows PowerShell to access remotely to my computer. The PC is currently connected in Ethernet (RJ-45) and it seems that is the only external connector who still work on the motherboard. I can "ping" my PC, see it on the network and access to the shared library via the Windows Media Player. I know the name and IP of the computer. Does anyone know how can I access my computer remotely or not ? Don't want to press the "RESET" button and lose my unsaved data. When I tried CMD and PowerShell, I mainly used PsExec tool to try to enable RDP remotely or execute programs on the "crashed" machine (like TeamViewer) but still get the error "Couldn't access <PC NAME>, access denied". PsExec is avaiable here : https://docs.microsoft.com/en-ca/sysinternals/downloads/psexec Maybe someone could give me a tip with TeamViewer, RDP, PsExec or anything else to help me connect remotely to my computer. System configuration : Windows 10 Professional 64 bits PSU Platimax Enermax EPF1200EWT (1200W) ASUS RAMPAGE V EXTREME/U3.1 (BIOS version 3701) Intel® Core™ i7-5960X Processor Extreme Edition HyperX Savage 3000MHz (64 GB) 2x ASUS ROG STRIX GeForce® GTX 1080 TI 11GB OC Edition with SLI (with ASUS ROG-SLI-HB-BRIDGE) If you need more information or have questions about my topic, just ask me. Thank you for your help.

I have been trying to connect my desktop to my printer and it hasn't been able to find it. This happened with our old printer too. I have been able to connect to it with my 2009 Macbook, just not my PC and i would like to be able to print something straight from my PC instead of having to email it to my laptop. Any suggestions?

I recieved my G900 today and I was tinkering around with the Logitech Game Software and then my right click stopped working... Then the mouse stopped working. I'm wondering what's happening. The receiver is connected and is recognized by windows, the micro USB cable works (I just charged my phone with it to test), none of the LEDs on the mouse work but I disabled those before this happened, I can see a red glow inside of the mouse when I look from under it, it's just not working. I plugged it into my little brother's rig and it wasn't working either. I just factory reset my PC because I don't want to be about 100 dollars, it still isn't working. I really don't know how to solve the issue.

I am thinking of buying the new Samsung Conect wifi (home/pro haven't decided which yet) but I'm not interested in investing in a new whole home wifi system. I just upgraded to a Linksys max steam ac5400 router with an ac1900 extender last year and wasting all that money I spent just to put in a new equally as expensive system is not something I'm ready to do. But I am interested in a smart things hub and the new Samsung router has one built in so im like I might as well add onto my wifi while im at it. Here is is my question. Will it work? So I know the new Samsung connect home/pro can be used as a stand alone router if you want but will it work as an access point on an existing non Samsung network? Will it cause any problems? Will there be compatible issues? Will the built in smart things hub even work if I set it up as an access point / extender? Am I just being stubborn and should I just resign myself to parting with my money? Help me I need answers!!!!

I am about 95% done with my first ever PC build. I have an ASUS GTX 1080 STRIX plugged into my motherboard. It has an eight and a six pin female connector. Do I need to use both of these? My PSU came with 4 6+2 pins for the PCIE slots. Do I use one on the 8 pin and then use the second one and only use the 6 pins and not plug in the other two? In the box, they gave me a male 8 pin to two female 6 pin adapters. what do I do with this? My manual doesn't really say.

Hi! I just finished my first PC build and the keyboard I'm using with it is the 1STPLAYER Firerose (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA8GC4MD7222, I have it in white). I'm enjoying typing on it and although the switches are "knock-offs" they feel really similar to genuine Cherry MX Blues. It was working fine when I used it with the 2 laptops in the house, but no matter which USB port I plug it into on my new PC, it just reconnects and disconnects over and over again. The keyboard will stop working for a moment, play the USB disconnect sound, and then resume working. This happens every 3-10 seconds. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the keyboard drivers and using both motherboard and front panel USB ports (2.0, 3.0, and 3.1), but I can't seem to get this problem to stop. It seems like it might be a driver issue but if it is, I don't know how to fix it. Specs: Mobo: MSI Z170A Gaming Pro Carbon Case: Anidees AI Crystal CPU: i7 6700k OS: Windows 10 Pro (not yet activated, if that matters) Any help is appreciated!

My USB ports keep disconnecting and reconnecting if I have too many devices plugged in but I have 7 USB ports and when I use about 5 or more this happens.. I know its not my PSU because my PC only requires 350-400wh and I have a 600wh, so i cant figure out the issue. I've also disabled all the USB settings for power management.

I have been fighting with this new phone for the last 2 days and I cannot find a solution I've spoken to google support and we've tried Safe mode, clearing app cache, factory restore, WPS push button, hitting the reset button on both the modem and my router, unplugging and plugging them back in, I bought a new router (My idea: thinking if a Google OnHub cant connect to this google phone then nothing will), rebooting the phone, disconnecting all other devices from the router and trying to connect, playing with location services to see if they make a difference. I did get it to connect by removing the wifi protection and it also worked with WEP but WPA2/WPA it just goes to obtaining Ip address then saves, it never connects to the internet. My PC and PS4 connect and disconnect from the internet no problems it's just this fucking phone, I have read that if I change the IP setting to "Static" it should work but I don't know how to do that, i've tried google and it got me "connected, no internet access" and so far the best i've got is authentification failure. It's a nice phone but I don't think I can afford a phone that uses nothing but mobile data, that could end up costing upwards of 200 a month.
