Summary Wikipedia is turning 20 (January 15th), and as a part of the celebration, they have announced that they are planning to redesign its website. This is due to the fact that “while Wikipedia’s content has grown rapidly, our interface has not kept pace.” They are planning to introduce a reconfigured logo, collapsible side bar as well as introducing a maximum line width based on a grid system, and more. Quotes My thoughts Wikipedia is finally getting a new website redesign, yay! Hi, a pretty simple question here: What can I buy my Mother(who just started using tech devices for a couple years) for her Birthday, that will help her get through the day much easier ? heres a little info that might help: She's retired and likes knitting, watching tv, going out, singing, dancing, spending time with her grandchildren etc ps: I already got her the last couple birthdays: Ipad, Imac, Iphone, Smart TV and a cleaning robot Since budget is a bit tight, the gift idea should be under 500€ so up to 600$

Budget (including currency): $989.22 USD Country: Singapore Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: I plan on buying this for my father's birthday so he can have an upgrade to his macbook and something which we can game together better on. Possible games are : War Thunder, EVE online, Space Engineers. I think the most intensive workload would be many excel/google sheets, but I already know this PC is more than capable to handle it. Other details This is the pc build i have done on Newegg : Dad's pc. The main reason why I am asking here is if I can somehow lower the cost without compromising much on performance. The other reason is that I am unsure of if everything fits together and works and if there are any main issues with it. Thanks in advance The resolution will be 1080/1440p and on a single monitor. 60 Hz refresh rate is fine and is what I use anyway

Hello friends yes I am looking for a gift for my sister. She specifically wants over-ear headphones and she is open/interested in trying the open-back style, and long-story short I have two main ideas as of right now. As the title says, I've narrowed down my selection to the Philips SHP9500 and the (Massdrop) HiFiMAN HE-350. I know that the HE-350s will be a much better all-around experience, better pair of cans, etc. But I'm mainly wondering if it would be worth it to buy them (350s over the SHP9500's) for her. The Philips ones are about $55USD on newegg right now, and the 350s are $100USD, and I have no problems with buying the 350s, but again I'm not sure if she'll really 'appreciate' them. I am by no means an audiophile/expert, but I know more about audio than she does. The nicest headphones she's ever owned are the apple earpods, so either one will be an upgrade. But as I said, I'm no super-enthusiast. My main headphones are the ATH-M50x's (basic, I know but they're great for gaming), and she's enjoyed them the handful of time she's listened to them. I don't really know if she'd be losing anything by not using a DAC/AMP with the 350s, and since she listens to 100% of her music on her iPhone/laptop it doesn't make sense to get them if they'll be 'under used' Another note is that she specifically wants some cans to use while hanging out at home, she understands that these won't be great for going 'out and about' so she understands that and what comes with the open-back (vs. closed) headphone style. Her musical taste is mainly 'Top-40' and the like. Blink-182 is her fav band, so a lot of California will be played through these. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated, Thanks guys and gals, -Goldhound4. headphone links (US): 350's : https://www.massdrop.com/buy/massdrop-x-hifiman-he-350 SPH9500's : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826138190&cm_sp=Homepage_BS-_-P1_26-138-190-_-10252016

What should I get for my birthday? So, my birthday is quickly approaching, and my parents gave me a budget of $200 to spend however I like. So far, I've decided to get a laptop bag, battery pack, and bluetooth earbuds. The problem is that all of those things only total to $80, so I have no idea how to spend the leftover $120. . . Put in your ideas of what you would buy with the money. *I can't upgrade my pc as it's a small form-factor pre-built system, so It's going to be really difficult to upgrade anything useful.

Birthday PC Upgrade With my birthday quickly approaching, I've been thinking about upgrading my Alienware x51. To see the current pc, you can check out my profile. I have a $200 budget to upgrade my pc as I wish, and I chose to put it in a new case, for more upgradibility, buy a new motherboard b/c the alieware one doesn't really work with other cases, a bigger psu, and a 120GB ssd. Here's the PCPartPicker link "http://bit.ly/2dWsU2M" What do you think? Is there something I should do different?

So my friend's birthday is coming up and I've decided to make a video for him where random people just wish him happy birthday. So could you just say "Su gimtadieniu Rokai" and record it. You don't need to say it perfectly or anything. If you could join this and help me out it would be amazing. You can send it to: <content removed> or you can send a direct messege through here. Have a nice day

My mom's brother's son birthday is coming, so she suggested that we get him his first computer. I asked him what he wanted, and according to a 12year old he wants a Xbox, a playstation, nintendo switch. So I was thinking putting together a emulator / gaming system. The games he plays when he comes over are : Fortnight, Overwatch, Pub-G, CS-Go, apex legend and cod. I'm hoping you guys can help with the parts options my mom and his dad says no budget but try to be not to expensive, and not too big so I think either matx or itx would be better. And if possible please help find a blue case. It's his favorite color. Ps: I plan to give him a 1080p 144hrtz monitor

Today is my 18th birthday. As a present for this I am allowed to spend $400 on upgrading my pc in any way that I see fit. I almost solely use my system for gaming at the moment but will be bringing it to college and will want to maintain some productive capabilities. I am fairly satisfied with the current performance of my system and would not be apposed to cosmetic or non-performance enhancing upgrades. My current system is: GPU: MSI GTX 1060 6GB CPU: AMD RYZEN 1600X Storage: 1TB Segate harddrive and 1TB Samsung SSD RAM: 16GB of DDR4 It is all in a tempered glass cooler master case. My build theme is black and red. I currently have no cosmetic components. I am not apposed to any ideas, including a custom water loop, even if cosmetics is their only true purpose. Thank you for your suggestions.

Hello, My name is David and I am gonna be turning 18 in couple months. My dad wanted to gift me a very special gift that I am gonna be using for College and other needs. He gave me the budget of $3000 for a laptop. My logic is that any laptop that will be used to handle code processing and graphic design work, should be built to be able to play high preforming video games(Not gonna be playing games on it but the performance required for the coding and graphic design would require same as if I were playing a game on it.) Im gonna be doing tons of Graphics design and coding and other college activities on the laptop and knowing you guys are best at what you do. I have seen all your you tube videos and have been a long time fan. I just wanted to know if someone can assist me in picking out the laptop for my dad to buy me. Would appreciate it alot... Sincerely David.

I have a friend's birthday coming this September and I would love to gift them a new laptop or tablet that has reasonably decent drawing capabilities since they like drawing. Need advice on some good ones for a budget of less than $200 if possible, I've been looking around on Amazon but it's tough to find one I'm looking for. It'd be great if it could run some low end Steam games like Portal and stuff since they're not a huge gamer.

Hi Linus. My soon-to-be 17 year old son Nick (aka Nerdy Nick by his mum here) has been following you since he was about 10 & idolizes you (your talent, your ideas & esp your humor!). About 5 years ago, I remember him pleading with me to take him to some convention you were having in Canada. At the time I found that very amusing, but over the years I have seen what an impact you have had on his life. Yesterday, I found a letter he wrote to you about 5 years ago, but for some reason he never mailed it. The letter gave me an idea. That idea being... for Nick to meet you in person as a surprise for his upcomimg Aug 23 birthday! ! Any chance you are in the states this month (or anytime for that matter) & could possibly squeeze a few minutes of your time to make one amazing young man very happy? I know its a crazy idea, but I'm a mum who loves her son crazy & would love nothing more than to show him that love with something that he would find totally crazy. I'm also looking to find something extra special for him this year, as we lost Paul (Nick's dad & my husband) to cancer last year. Please let me know your thoughts and thank you for being such a positive role model in my son's life. Sincerely, Nick's Mum

I'll go to the point. I can get a laptop for around 1000 bucks. (Could go a bit higher.) I just want it for running games at non 8bit graphic settings as well as streaming from Youtube or Netflix and some other lighter programs. Requirements: Quad core 2.5+ GHz CPU Nvidia GPU (I'll settle for something like a 960 but the newer 1050-1080 series would be preferred) 8GB RAM (DDR4 preferred, DDR3 acceptable) +-1TB HDD Small SSD (No more than 256GB, just for OS and basic programs) GOOD cooling 1080p display is fine Non glossy display if possible If you can find better specs for the same price do tell of course Thanks. I'll be searching myself, but I normally dont find good options.

So I am thinking about what I want for my birthday and I have a few ideas but still cannot decide. The usual budget for my present(s) is $1000 but I am currently at university and won't be home for my birthday but I will be home for Christmas so I am probably going to lump them together. I am basically trying to decide between Apple or Microsoft. Now for the things I am looking at asking for... Option 1: Apple 12" Macbook 512GB Apple Series 2 Watch Option 2: Microsoft Surface Pro 4 (512GB, 16GB RAM, i7e) Microsoft Surface Dock Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Type Cover Micorsoft Arc Touch Mouse I have an iPhone 6s Plus but I use Windows 10 on my PC. I love iOS as a mobile operating system but I didn't really like OS X when I used it years ago. And I really want the Apple watch as a companion for my iPhone and I can't really mix and match the two options because right now they are both around the same price.

I am building a PC for my little brothers 15th birthday. I'm on a budget (Only being 17 myself) and I don't get paid a lot for my job so I think we'll split the budget 50/50. He saw my interest in building PCs and wants to be like his brother and he keeps showing me PC part picker pages he's botched together which suck. So I am sat here at work and I put together this build. Here is the build, my budget is under £360 and by no means does he want to play doom at 135fps on ultra (He has a PS4 for heavy gaming) so he doesn't mind playing light games, and he has a YouTube so he wants to use Vegas Pro (I gave him my licence) PCPartPicker Link: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/8pL2gs
