This started out of the blue today. Tried a few things, unplugging it for 60seconds and plugged chromecast into different hdmi ports. Turns out the flickering appears also in the built in Netflix/Youtube app. Is this a signs for a new tv or can i try something else? Any help is welcome! 20221107_231621.mp4

Hi guys! I recently finished paying off my student loans (yay!) and ended up getting a $4000 refund. Of course I'm going to use it to treat myself and build a new gaming/content creation rig. I work in media production so I can also claim this on taxes. Ha. Anyway, I'm looking to have a dual 4K display set up and need some help locating a good 4K monitor that has a small bezel. 24 inch minimum and a 27-28 inch maximum is where I'm at with desk space. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I tried searching the forums for related topics but was unable to find any. I originally had the LG 24UD58-B selected but after seeing some actual customer photos I realized it actually has a pretty large bezel that also extends out from the screen. You can see the rest of the build here. (Suggestions here are also welcome. )

I have a Metabox branded Clevo P650SE with a failing right hinge, as well as a crack in the screen bezel as a result of this. I was wondering if anyone was aware of somewhere I could buy replacements for these parts? Mostly the bezel, I think I've found a couple of places selling hinges. Edit: I'm in Australia.

On the newegg site for this monitor it listed the monitor as having a thin bezel, but all the pictures it just doesn't look like that. I believe newegg just posted the picure from the generic Acer predator XB series. Can anyone confirm if this model has a thin bezel? If not is there another 1080p 144hz gsync thin bezel monitor you can recommend? Thanks

Hi All Whilst still procrastinating about the next PC build I want to do, one thing I can definitely decide on is that I want another 2x27" monitors either side of my main one. I've been looking at the BenQ site to see if they have just a standard monitor that has roughly the same look (I mean the thing looks like it was designed in 2010) but can't find anything, I guess chunky bezels are mostly a thing of the past. The specs don't need to be great but here are my initial thoughts: I don't mind chunky bezels so long as the dimensions match and the cursor flows from 1 screen to the next easily. I might actually prefer bezels compared to just a bottom bezel so that there won't be a gap between the monitors when putting them side by side. Plain and matt bezels that will have roughly the same height as the Zowie.1080p is absolutely fine. Ok-ish brightness to match would be good, it doesn't have to be really bright but not dim. Simple height adjust to put it on the same level. If someone suggests a good match in terms of looks but it can't get to the same height etc then I can go back to monitor arms but the excess cost might delay things a bit. It doesn't need much tilt and no pivot is fine. Black. I'll keep looking but if anyone has any suggestions I'd appreciate your input!

The ASUS VN248H-P boasts a 1cm bezel, but is that really thin by today's standards for a 2+ monitor setup? How thin do bezels come? In your experience, how thin is thin enough? I'm not a hard-core gamer. I do game sometimes, but I'm mostly a hard-core programmer.

Hello LTT forum Users I Have Some Questions For You Techies. The First One is If i am looking for a good gaming graphics card with DX12 and can support 4k/2k and has digital outputs(ex: display port, HDMI, etc) That is on the cheap(<350 USD) and preferably has a rear blower, where should i start? like should i go EVGA Gforce GTX or what? (I Don't Play Super Graphics Intensive Games But I Do Render Videos While I Play Which Takes Some Power But also I Am Creating A 3d Fps/Rpg Thingamabob And Want To Be Able To See The Full Graphics potential) second is my screen setup Is not the best right now i have two screens: one at 1680x1050 Max and the other at 1280x1024 Max.(images Are Attached) Both With extensive bezels. I want To Future Proof My Screen Setup so i am looking for a 2,560 x 1,440 recommended resolution and preferably little to no bezel at a lower price point(<300 USD). (also I Want 2 monitors not one giant One Because of reasons That Would Be To Hard To Explain Here) I Have Done some surfing on Newegg for Both The Components In Question In This Article and have found some but i have no idea what most specs mean and don't want to get ripped off. Any Suggestions Would Be Awesome Thanks Also If you Need More Info To Answer Just Ask And I Will Be Glad To Add/Clarify

I need a monitor that is 23" and has a 1.5cm bezel on both sides. This is to match my friend's other two monitors for a triple monitor setup. I know I should use same make and model, but my friend doesn't have the money to buy 3 of the same panels.

Been using a crappy 22" inch TV that only supports 720p. Been looking for a monitor to upgrade to, and IPS monitors have caught my attention, particularly the Dell U2414H and the S2415H, because of their super slim bezels. Which one should I go for, or are there better monitors with thin bezels out there?

So I was looking for some slim bezel monitors and I stumbled upon the LG 23MP75HM-P, and I saw it had a really really slim bezel, and it would be perfect for a dual monitor setup so I came here to ask you guys on what do you think about it? it will be mainly used for gaming/watching movies and I'll be getting two because I'm trying to get into streaming more so what do you think?

Hello Everyone, So i'm running two NEC 24" 16:10 monitors using Eyefinity, the resolution is 3840x1200, problem is that with bezel compensation on, the taskbars of programs such as Chrome (or anything else not in fullscreen) hides behind the bezels. Anybody know a workaround or do i have to disable Eyefinity to make this work properly ? Thank you in advance

Yo guys, so I'm in the PcMasterrace now and I've been looking for a solid Monitor 24", Under £200, I have Super slim bezel OCD, Under 5ms, HDMI with good SPEAKERS!! I have been looking at the BENQ EW2440L as it has a sexy super slim bezel, 4 ms, 2 HDMI ports but the one thing thats killing me is the speakers. I don't know if the speakers on it ( 2w, stereo I think) are good. So can anyone enlighten me. Are the speakers on the BENQ EW2440L good. I'm not really looking to invest in external speakers just yet. Thanks

Ok, so I'm sure we've all heard the reasoning given by manufacturers and reviewers for having bezels on displays (like the chin on the moto 360, seen below (image from techradar)) being somewhere to put the display drivers. So my question, simply is this: Why do the drivers have to be in line with the display, couldn't the panel manufacturers 'hide' these behind the panel, therefor negating the need for such big bezels and making the footprint of the phone smaller? Just looking at the phones coming out of MWC, this has been something I've puzzled over for years. There is probably an easy answer but there doesn't seem to be any info out there on this, at least none that I could find when I looked into it, so I thought I would open this up to see if any of you know why this is the case. Thanks.

http://www.androidcentral.com/we-go-hands-sharp-aquos-crystal Copied from above. Sprint has recently announced the Sharp Aquos Crystal and we were very eager to see it in person. Tonight, at an event in New York City, Sprint has shown off this device with stunningly-slim bezels. It's heading to the carrier Sprint and its prepaid Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile brands. Interested? Watch our hands-on video and photos! The Sharp Aquos Crystal features a 5-inch 720p screen with very little bezel on the top and sides. There's an 8-megapixel camera on the back with 1.2MP on the front, a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 8 GB for storage, and an embedded 2040mAh battery. It runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat. Other key features include Harman's LiveStage, which adds dimension to sound, and Clari-Fi technology, which improves digital sound quality by restoring all types of compressed digital music. Another interesting feature is a subscription service called App Pass that allows customers to access a hand-selected catalog of premium apps and games for $4.99 per month after a 14-day free trial. This is exclusive to Sprint in the United States. The App Pass catalog is curated with some of the world's top developers including Gameloft and Oceanhouse Media. It also includes select titles from other developers such as OfficeSuite 7 Pro, Camera Zoom FX, Minuum Keyboard, CamScanner and Color & Draw for Kids. We're not used to seeing slim bezels on most smartphones, but after playing with the the Aquos Crystal, we'd like to see more manufacturers do the same thing. It makes devices with big screens feel much better to hold. They are coming up with a more powerful version soon.

I mean look at those bezels, that would be a 3 way Monitor dream. Why do many monitors don't have thin bezels like this? Price can't be a argument, because this TV is fairly cheap. .

I'm giving up on trying for my 27" triple monitor setup. The only 27" monitor with slim enough bezel to not affect gaming, VESA mountability, and 1440 for high resolution was the ROG Swift $799 x 3 = $2,397. (1080p looks horrid on any monitor over 24"). So, after giving up on that pipe dream, i'm looking for the same type of setup in 23"-24" monitors. I'm looking for slim to no bezel monitors with VESA compatibility. That's really the thing i'm interested in the most. I'm want to pay around $299, but if it's a good enough monitor i will go up to $399 - $449. I do not want to go with a TN panel due to having to look straight at it; that would make it very bad for surround gaming. If it matters, i'm looking to mount them with arm mounts for much better utility. Thanks guys, ~Shark

Hey, I have been watching Linus Tech Tips for 2 months now after being linked to the . Great videos and live streams, great knowledge base for PC building from what I have seen. Budget: £1400 Location: London, UK Aim: I have finished university and I am going to focus more on video production which will include 3D work from time-to-time. So I want a quiet, video production build with future proofing in mind. I mainly play MineCraft but the focus of this build needs to be for Video Production, although the upcoming games I am planning to play are Total War: Rome II, Civ5, COH2, GTAV, Battlefield 4, Saints Row 4, maybe Titanfall. Monitors: 2 for now but eventually a 3-screen bezel layout for workplace efficiency. Peripherals: I am okay for Keyboard & Mice for now, but I am thinking about the Razer Deathadder 2013 because I owned the original before I was robbed. For a keyboard, maybe Ducky Shine II keyboard with Cherry MX Brown keys, even the Shine III coming soon. For the software I am aiming to get Windows 7 Professional instead of Home Premium so I have the option to get 32GB RAM or more. Why upgrading? I got a custom PC from PCSpecialist nearly 10 years ago and it has aged a lot, so it won't handle video production tasks and even Company of Heroes 1. A future-proof orientated build is necessary so I can upgrade when I can to spend more on one part than a few compatible ones. Latest Initial Build: AMD FX-8350 4.0GHz 8-Core Processor (Hyper-threading an advantage for video production and future of gaming processing) Noctua NH-U12P SE2 54.4 CFM CPU Cooler (40mm CPU clearance & quiet) Asus SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard (more reliable than formula) G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory (40mm height) Toshiba 3TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive EVGA GeForce GTX 660 2GB Video Card Asus Xonar DSX 24-bit 192 KHz Sound Card (don't want to reply on the on-board sound card) NZXT Phantom (White/Red) ATX Full Tower Case (gorgeous case, fell in love) NZXT Air Flow Series 83.6 CFM 140mm Fan (related to the red trim) NZXT FS-200RB-RLED 89.5 CFM 200mm Fan (related to the red trim) NZXT HALE 90 850W 80 PLUS Gold Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply (reliable & efficient) Lite-On iHAS124-04 DVD/CD Writer (just in case) Microsoft Windows 7 Professional SP1 (OEM) (64-bit) (RAM can be 32GB or more) 2x Acer H236HLBmjd 23 inch Widescreen IPS LED Monitors (thin edges, good for bezel layout) Any help would be greatly appreciated, been researching to make this good for nearly 2 months now. First time building my own PC, so I'm nervous but have a year of ICT experience to be sure to build one for myself.

Hi guys, I saw this reply in the "SEIKI Announces 39" 4K TV for $700" thread, and it made me wonder, do people ever make custom bezels and the like for their monitors? I mean, is that possible without breaking the monitor itself? I'm talking monitors, not TV's (though the same could apply). That'd be epic if you could take apart 3 1080p monitors and put them literally right beside one another (to the point where they looked like one really long monitor) and used Eyefinity or Nvidia's equivalent (I forget what it's called). Has anyone done this or heard of it being done? Thanks, Vitalius.

I will be building a new gaming computer some time next month (4770K, 780/770) and an currently looking at a new monitor as an upgrade from my cheapo 18.5" 1366x768 monitor. I was looking through the sales on NCIX when this monitor caught my eye: http://bit.ly/18AsyG9 and I was wondering if it would be a good decision. It looked great right away, but if you look at real pictures of it the bezel is actually not that narrow. I haven't seen any reviews of it, so I figured I'd ask the forum. So, what's your opinion on the value of this monitor?

It's poll time! I just acquired two Korean PLS monitors to add to the IPS one I already had for some insane surround action but looking at the thick bezels made me sad :( , which made me wonder "How much are you guys willing to pay extra for a tiny bezel?" It seems like manufacturers are obsessed with making them thinner sideways which doesn't help us, heck I'd be fine with a 6 inch thick monitor if it had 1mm bezels! :D
