Hey y'all, I know this has been posted before, but I wanted to post it again in light of new patches. BF1 has ran pretty underwhelmingly for me: Here's my rig: 4670k OC'd to 4.24ghz @ 1.22V, CPU cores unparked. Cooled with NZXT X61, never even hits 70 degrees GTX 1080 (Asus STRIX), not OC'd 16GB Corsair RAM @ 1600Mhz Corsair 850W PSU, MSI Gaming 7 mobo, HyperX Savage 500GB SSD. First order of business, the reason why my CPU is rather old while I'm running a GTX1080 is because I upgraded a 3 year old computer, and decided the CPU didn't have to be replaced. For BF1, I usually get 75+ FPS (I've capped the FPS to 75 to help my issues). However, in intense scenes or after an hour of gaming, I get FPS drops to the low 30's at times. It's very bothersome. My CPU is almost always maxed at 100%. I don't know if Shadowplay effects my CPU usage that much. I was wondering if anyone else has had the same problems as me, and how they fixed it. I don't think I want to upgrade (I'd have to buy a new mobo since buying a Haswell i7 doesn't sound like a smart idea at the moment). The cost would be upwards of 500 bucks for an 7th gen i7 and a mobo, which would theoretically fix my problems.

First, yes I have tried looking on the battlefield forums and people there don't like to respond I guess so I'm giving this forum a try. My friend bought battlefield 1 and he has been playing the campaign just fine. When he tries to play multiplayer, after only a few seconds of loading the game crashes and all it says is "battlefield 1 has stopped working". He has an i7 and a GTX 1070 so he has more than enough to be able to run the game. Any ideas?

Whenever i try to play Battlefield 1, the game freezes, but doesn't crash. I can preform actions in game, but the screen isn't updated unless i alt-tab out of the game. I don't know how to explain this. I've never seen anything like this.

Ive had bf1 for months now and for the majority of that time ove been able to enjoy the game at 75fps or more at max settings 1080p. About a week ago I got on to play and i couldn't break 40. Ive tried re installing the game, DX12, Turining off GPU memory restriction, changing max fps, everything... I can only break when i go down to low and I simply don't feel like even playing anymore. Does anyone know of a solution? PC - RX480 8gb, 16gb ddr4, i5 6600k 4ghz

i recently bought RX 480 8GB and I was too happy until I played BF1 !!! The fps was between 40-60 and frequently drops to 30 or less !! its almost unplayable sometimes even in DX12 !! and talking about DX11 fps drops to 30-45 Now my question is , Is there possible way to fix it ? I quit playing BF1 because of this Shit !! Other games Run Smoothly like Watch Dogs 2 All maxed out runs a 40-50fps even more(Sometimes) !! Even in Lowest setting in BF1 !! same things happen!! So what can I do Now ? CPU = i5 4590 GPU = Sapphire Nitro+ 8GB OC Ram= 16 GB (Corsair + Team) HDD = WD 1TB 7200rpm PSU = Thermaltake TR2 600W Bronze 80+

Dear Sirs, I ended up here, because as far as my knowladge goes, i achieved around 60-90 fps with streaming / OBS 18 /, but im sure that i didnt tried everything. So lets start with my PC : *Motherboard - ASUS Z97-K *i5-4690( non k) - but still i clocked it,bus + 102.9 witch makes it run at 4014 GHz - haven't seen him above 67-69 °C *GTX 1060 6 GB - clocked +152 Core, + 500 at memory, voltage 100%, Power 116 % - never seen more than 73 °C *Corsair Vengeance - 16 GB DDR3 CL9 *CM HYPER 212 EVO - as my main CPU cooler. *Samsung SSD 850 PRO - as a main hard drive *4 pieces of 12' CM case coolers *Case : CM Silencio 650 *AOC 144 Hz monitor, 1 ms * Peripherals : Zowie mouse 1 ms, Razer blackwidow tournament edition 1 ms. Settings : + Attached you can find some screenshots. + ''Phys X > GPU'' + V sync is not Fast its ''OFF'' !!! + Battlefield settings ''100% res. scale'', ''all low'', except Mesh quality- witch i have on ''Ultra'', weapon doff is ''null''. FOV - depends what type of soldier im playing but lets say between ''/ HOR+ - 80 to 95 /'' +OBS settings - 720p30fps, Downscale filter : ''Lanczos'', Encoder- ofcourse - ''NVENC H.264'' Bitrate ''4000'', keyframe interval is ''2'', Preset - ''Default'', Profile - ''Main'', Use two pass encoding - ''checked'' According to what i presented as information, CAN I OPTIMIZE ''SOMETHING'' for reaching my ''theoretical PERFECT performance'' for Battlefield 1 + stream/OBS/ ? Thank you in advance. Kind Regards : An not so bad, not so good - Competitive wannabe since 2001 : ) For taking a better image of what em i achieving at this moment you can check this example of one of my games here P.S. : By any means I'm not trying to achieve any public fame, likes, subscriptions or profit !!!

Just curious, I got the parts for my new system a couple days ago, it's now running an i5 4590 and a EVGA GTX 980 (Non-Ti), but I was curious to see what everyone's performance on Battlefield 1 was with around the same specs as my rig as I suspect mine might be a little lower. My rig: i5 4590 @3.3GHZ Gigabyte Z87M-D3H 4X2GB, 2X2GB DDR3 1333 EVGA GTX 980 SC EVGA Supernova 750W B2 semi-modular PSU Battlefield 1 quality settings: Everything on high except with ambient occlusion and anti-aliasing off Averaging around 68 FPS or so, but sometimes dipping down to the 20's sometimes

I might be building my friend a pc and all he wants to do on it is play bf1 at like 1080p maybe even 720p on low settings, the lest of money i found to build one was like $300 with a g4560 and a 1050 but can anyone else find a cheaper option? It would be way better if he had a laptop that could play bf1 so if anyone could find the cheapest laptop option too that would be great, the cheapest i found was like $500 or so

Hi guys Right now you could buy a Samsung 960 EVO 512GB M.2, with 3.2GB/s read and 1.8GB/s write, for about 230$, which I think is a pretty good deal. Does anyone noticed some difference in loading times between regular sata SSD's and the new M.2 PCIe 4x SSD's? I would be especially interested in Battlefield 1 loading times, as I am currently almost only playing this game. Or won't there be any big difference (like at least 50% faster or so) between this 960 EVO M.2 and my current Samsung sata SSD which has like 500MB/s read or write. Thanks for any helpful answers and have a nice day :).

Hi there I have an FX-8350 8 core AMD CPU, 16 gb 1600mhz ram, gtx 960 4gb card. Currently having a few issues with fps. pretty much all games but focusing on battlefield 1. Im a solid 60+ fps 1080p on high - ultra but every now and then i get a drop in fps to 15ish then back up to 60+ again. I've ran everything through software etc and everything looks to be fine, temps, memory load etc. however the only thing i can see is the ram is pretty much all being used needing my file page. this surprised me so i increased the file page to 3gb pretty much and the problem is still here. i uninstalled graphics drives and re installed but still there. looking in the task manager nothing is running etc so really confused at this point. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Any ideas ?

Ok--so I downloaded Battlefield 1 on Friday, and to play it I had to download nVidia's latest driver. Now BF1 works perfectly--but my older games that use to run flawlessly are launching with frame rates of 11 or 12. What's even weirder is how I've been fixing it--I have to go into the graphics settings and flip back and forth some indefinite number of times between 5760x1080 and 1920x1080 resolutions. Sometimes I also have to toggle between windowed, borderless, and fullscreen. But so far--that has worked on every one of the old games that are struggling. How many toggles of the settings it takes to make it do it has been inconsistent, but I'd say probably no more than 2 or 3 times on each setting so far. After that--the game jumps right back up to 60fps (all I need with 60 hz monitors) and doesn't have any further problems at all. That is, until I close it and launch it again. Then the whole process starts over. Does anybody know what could be causing this? I've got an i7 6700k, gtx1070, 32 GB of ram, plenty of hard drive space, and am using three 60hz dell s2415h monitors.

In the typical case of overestimated system requirements, Battlefield 1 will indeed boot up and play via a 1 GB video card, as well as work with less than 8GB of RAM despite "system requirements". However, it's quite obvious the game has a tough time with it by stalls during gameplay. It seems Windows 10 eats up alot of VRAM for background crap, even Origin itself will occupy quite a bit when it gets started. Been working on trying to minimize VRAM use, and I'm going to assume Win7 would use even less, but I would like to hear from others about their experience using 1GB or even 1.25 and 1.5GB video cards with ample enough GPUs. The Radeon 7750 is unsurprisingly more than capable of running the game at minimum settings at 1080p, it's just held back by the small framebuffer.

Hello again guys yesterday i posted about getting less framerates with gtx 1080 and when i restart it stays normal for a while. Yesterday i couldnt figure out what the exact problem was but when i reinstalled drivers it worked fine. Today when i was playing happily thinking that i figured out the problem it happened again but only now i noticed something. My GPU memory clock gets reduced all by itself from 5006 to 4500 something. And when this happens frame rates start to drop. Pls HELP! If u can figure out whats going wrong here. ill post some screenshots too. First screen is from BF1 multiplayer in which the memory clock is normal but after playing a while memory clock drops and so does fps, in the second screen im playing Rainbow six siege which has low memory clock i normally get around 200fps in that game. Sorry about them being different games, but this happens with every game once when i restart it stays fine for a while but then it drops again.I hope u guys can understand wuts the problem and sorry about the bad grammar. help plis. Thanks in advance

Hi all, I’m not sure if this discussion belongs in this part of the forum, but considering it appears to be a GPU-bound issue, I thought I'd post here anyway. I've been playing a lot of Battlefield 1 lately but particularly in the past few days I have noticed my in-game performance has started to decline. Performance was fine, if not great in the beta and early-access versions, getting 90-100+ fps on "Ultra" preset at 1080p (Dx12 mode). However since the games release and after updating my Nvidia drivers, performance seems to have taken a massive hit. Rather than staying in the 90-110fps range, my computer now seems to be struggling to maintain 50+ fps on almost every map (except St.Quentin Scar where frame rates seem to be particularly bad.) I have tried to resolve this problem in several ways. I have adjusted various in-game settings to try and improve FPS by switching between the Dx11 and Dx12 modes, lowering the graphics settings, turning off the GPU memory limit and adjusting the resolution scaling factor. All of these changes do not result in any major performance improvements. Since the beta the only change made to the PC was a mild overclock of my GPU which has not been an issue until late. I have noticed a very particular pattern in my GPU's performance whilst playing the game. The GPU usage never exceeds 70-80% while in-game and memory usage never exceeds 3.5-4GB (with and without memory restrictions turned on) and the voltage limit is pinned at "1." I do not encounter these issues in any other titles or Battlefield games. I tried re-setting the GPU to factory settings with the only change being setting the power limit to 120% (I'm running a water cooled Founders Edition) and the same pattern emerged. I haven’t tried re-installing the drivers as the performance issues started before the drivers release and I updated them in hope that performance would be improved, to no avail. I'm pretty sure it’s not a CPU bottleneck issue because this has never been a problem for me before. My PC specs are: CPU: i5 - 4690K @4.4 GHz Motherboard: Asus Z97-A USB 3.1 RAM: 16GB HyperX Fury 1866mhz GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Founders Edition OC'd Storage: 1x 850PRO SSD 250gb + 2x 1TB WD Black HDD's PSU: EVGA SuperNova 650wGQ Case: Cooler Master MasterCase 5 Cooling: Custom full EKWB water cooling loop w/ 2x 240mm radiators & 6x Corsair AF 120 fans Battlefiled is being run on "Ultra" preset at 1080p with memory limit turned off and DirectX 12 mode turned on. Thanks for the help, 8u1letSp0nge
