I am going to build my pc next friday and i have a question about 5v argb headers: how do i connect them? which side do i plug them in, or does it even matter? another question: does each fan usually have one rgb connector per fan or is it just one connector per 3 or how many fans?

i recenlty got the cooler master mobius 120p argb fan. however when i try to connect my mother board (gigabyte z590 UD lga1200) using the D_LED, 3 pin connector, the fan doesnt light on any of the same type of connector. The 4 pin fan connector does work, just not the three pin. there is no header on the mobo called rgb or variation of it but there is "D_LED". looking at the manual D_LED outputs 5v, has 3 pins , pin defininition being [1.5v, 2. data, 3. no pin and 4. ground] the header does a line with the connector and it is designed for addressable lighting however the example they gave is for LED strips not fans (not sure if that makes a difference). it comes with two of these D_LED and pluging the cable to that header doesnt work. it is possible that cooler master pin orientation may be different but i am unable to verify as i can find it listed any where. so i am wondering what is the best way to fix this and get the funny light? do i need to get a hub or splitter? i just have the one rgb fan so im not sure if it is nessesary but i also dont know if it can help with compatability. or is it possible that the argb fan cable is busted and i should return it?

so im planning to put about 5/6 more argb peripherals in my pc a led bar, rgb fans , ssd cover, argb gpu cable, argb gpu holder and i wonder how many of them can i link up to just one chain link of fans or do i have to plug it in straight to the mobo? so it doesnt take too much power from only one argb 3 pin. im quite new to pc's so i dont really know alot about em

I'm looking to buy a cooler and a new case for my pc, and looking at my motherboard, it says it has A-rgb gen 2 headers The case I'm planning to buy is the Shadow Base 800 FX and the fans on (https://www.bequiet.com/en/casefans/3451) it say that they are compatible with argb, The cooler I'm planning on getting is the ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 360 which says the same thing, Now here's the question, are they compatible?

Since the B450 tomahawk max II Does not support argb, what are some recommendations for a 4 pin 12v to 3 pin 5v argb converters?

Hello, I am about to upgrade my PC and have a few questions about signal rgb compatibility/recommendations. If I have compatible fans, motherboard, but my controller isn't listed on the website,can I still use the controller to avoid having to use an rgb splitter?I am planning on purchasing the Cooler Master SickleFlow 62 CFM 120 mm Fans and the NZXT H9 Flow ATX Mid Tower Case. I would like to fill out all of the fan slots so using less fans isn't really an option. For my motherboard I have the MSI PRO B650-P WIFI ATX AM5 Motherboard which I also cant change as I purchased it with a bundle and am not sure about the return policy. For my budget I was looking at about 20-60 dollars for 9-10 a-rgb ports. I have been looking at the zalman z sync controller and have found a listing at at a reasonable price, though the controller only has 8 slots so I would need to use a splitter for two fans which defeats the purpose of using signal rgb's custom profiles. My other option I have seen is the Gelid Solutions Amber 8 Pro which I got from this post here: This controller would be perfect to have as it has the 10 ports I need along with PWM ports for fan power. Even though it is from the official sub, when I checked the website for signal rgb compatibility, it was not listed. Please comment your recommendations while considering my criteria Secondarily, I was planning on buying the NZXT Kraken 360  AIO, which is good for the price, though when I checked the signal rgb site to see if it was compatible I saw that the other nzxt coolers like the z73 are compatible, while the newer kraken 360 was not. I am assuming that this is because the z73 has the older nzxt fans with the outer ring rgb, while the kraken 360 has the updated fans with blade rgb. Though if the cooler is unsupported, I am concerned the the nzxt cam rgb software may fight for control with signal rgb. Do any of you know what would be the right pick? I'm not really wanting to upgrade to the z73 because of the near 100$ price jump though. If i need to switch could you please recommend me other aio's with LCD's. I have a Gigabyte B365 HD3 MoBo, the Thermaltake ARGB AIO Cooler I bought needs a 5v 3 pin connection for ARGB but my motherboard only has a 12v GRB connection could I buy a transfer hub that connects with SATA power and the 4 pin 12v GRB connection on my MoBo to theoretically make the Cooler actually have a working screen. And if this would work would I also be able to change the screen with the Thermaltake software.

Hi, I'm in the process of building a new set. I'm building it on the ASUS ROG STRIX B550-A GAMING board. I need to connect 9 argb fans. I equipped myself with a cable separating into two argb connectors. I want to connect two argb/pwm hubs with sata power connectors to it. Is this supposed to work or will I damage anything by doing so? Help!!! ( Sorry for my English )

I just ordered an NZXT H6 (Non-RGB because I don't want to deal with their fans). That being said, I want ARGB fans for my case. The case has 3x 120mm on the front, 3x 120mm on top, 1x 120mm on the back, and 2x 140mm on bottom. I have a Ryzen 7 5700x, currently a Asus Prime B550-Plus Motherboard (Likely upgrading to Asus Prime X570-PRO for overclocking headroom and it looks better). I will be getting myself an Asus ROG Strix LC II 360mm AIO for Christmas and I want to have the same (or very similar) fans throughout the case. White, good looking, A-RGB fans that won't murder my wallet are the goal. Ideally if they look similar or are the same as the ones on the AIO, I can save some money. **(I can also 3D Print brackets to adapt the 140mm fan holes on the bottom to 120mm if need be. I am going for a all white build and plan to paint my EVGA 3070ti XC3 Graphics Card Backplate and Shroud. [Looks like this] (Yes, I know it will void the warranty...etc,etc.) [Likely Paint my RAM white too] I primarily want fan advice but overall advice on my ideas is welcome as well. Thanks!

ok so thing to know about first. i have dyslexia so spelling and thoughts are all over the place so bare with me. i update things alot so thing will change. and i dont update things that happened. every time you see a blurry image you drank and if you see a foot you do a cold shot! haha ya i need something that dose better pics... i did get a phone but cant drag and drop off of it... so... ya... oh and also vary thank full for all the views and the LONG waiting time... it will be built at some point... so what was the point in having 2 pcs? well i do not like windows 10 and ill have to use windows 10 at some point for the direct x 12. so windows 10 on game pc and windows 7 on my other pc. (edit 8/13/2019 i got a windows 10 laptop and tried to install windows 7 on it but had no luck as its uses nvme drives... so i was forced to use windows 10 but i found ways of disabling most of the stuff for now....) making this whole build pointless....oh well i was going to use two be quiet dark base pro 900 cases as you can swap the insides so i have access to both pcs. and i got a thermaltake core p 200 that i was going to put the two cases on it but did not have a top so ied have to make one. then i decided having 3 peaces for water cooling was not going to work so i did end up buying the thermaltake core w 200 case what i should have done in the first place. I have the Gamdias Talos E2 Elite PC Case (https://www.gamdias.com/en/component/case/TALOS_E2_ELITE) , and there is a female 5V 3 Pin cable running from its set of ARGB Case Fan cables. I’m trying to connect the ThermalRight Frozen Prism 240 Black ARGB Water Cooler (http://www.thermalright.com/product/frozen-prism-240-black-argb/), which has its own set of male and female 5V 3 Pin ARGB cables (sets of male / female connectors from each fan, and another set running from the Water Block). I was assuming that I could just Daisy Chain all of these together (from the Case Fan cables to the Water Cooler cables), and then the ARGB Lighting from the Water Cooler would be in sync with the Case Fans lights. That did not happen, at all - Instead, the Case Fan lights turn-on normally, but there is no lighting from any of the Water Cooler parts (2 fans, and the Water Block itself). Was I wrong to assume that these could just be Daisy Chained together? Why don’t these lights run in sync with each other? (Side-note: my motherboard does not have a 5V 3 Pin ARGB header).

This is my first time building, if I'm slow with understanding I apologize in advance. In order for me to use ARGB CPU Cooler & ARGB/RGB fans. Will I need controller/hub/splitter or multiple? If controller/hub/splitter any of em are necessary, which one would you suggest? I want to run each direction(front/rare/top) of fans running at different RPM to create positive air flow. I'd love to, however due to the case dimensions, I don't think it will be possible.

Hello I have a problem with my rgb components I want all of them running the same colour but I can't get them to all be detected I have a asus prime b560M-A with the rgb headers and stuff I have a ID Cooling cpu fan argb and I've got corsair rgb ram and also an rx6650xt with gigabyte writing colour and for the last part is a kolink rgb power supply that also can be controlled with software. I can't seem to get anything to work . I need help

Hello. I recently purchased a Mag Forge 112R case, which included an ARGB controller which is powered by SATA. Got all my components in the case, wired up everything, and turned it on just fine (this was yesterday). Fans worked, ARGB worked, all seemed well. I put the PC on my porch (don't ask why, i have my reasons) and also fixed the cable management a bit there, and left it on the porch overnight. Now on the second day when i power it on, the ARGB just, doesn't work? however the fans do spin. And if you're wondering, no it did not rain. Ive tried multiple sata ports, nothing. reconnected things, still nothing. Im out of ideas. What the hell caused this, and how do i fix it? if I even can. Really disappointed honestly, didn't expect to run into something like this within 2 days of owning the case. Thanks for any help.

I recently built in a Fractal Torrent Nano. I've plugged the front ARGB fan into the 5v 3pin ARGB header on my Aorus B550i AX motherboard and it works fine. I then daisy chain the rear fan to it and it also works fine. But if I add the led strip that's on the PSU shroud, the front fan RGB flickers every so often. If I remove the rear fan and just use the front fan and the RGB strip then it's fine. And if I use just the fans, it's fine. It's only if I connect all 3 that I have issues. The header on the motherboard is capable of supplying 3A, and according to Fractal, the fans should only take 0.6A and 0.3A for their RGB. So unless the PSU strip takes over 2A, it shouldn't be the number of devices that are the issue. I've opened a support ticket with Fractal, but I was wondering if anyone here had any suggeetions

i installed signalrgb (thanks god finally i get rid of asus armory bug) and really happy with it but have small problem my keyboard is asus rog claymore 2 and when signalrgb software running my media key (volume control+another 4 MultiMedia key)on my keyboard not working at all! but when i close signalrgb its working again.is there any fix for this or i misconfig someting. (I POST ON THEIR FORUM FOR 4DAYS BUT I THINK FORUM ARE DEAD OR NOBODY CARE TO ANSWER SO I COME HERE TO FIND HELP AND SOLUTION)

So i arleady picked parts for a new pc, but im not sure about the fan and argb controller, will this controller be good enough for 5 argb fans and 1 normal, also im going to plug AIO fans into it, so will it be able to controll them differently from the rest of the fans? and if there is something wrong with this controller tell me if you have better options. also im buying the lianli 216 rgb, and it supposedly has a controller arleady, but i have no idea if its also for the rgb, and if it will have enough ports for all the fans.

I didn't got this cable within the box so now I want to get this Thermaltake wire!! From where can I get this one as it is Thermaltake proprietary cable?

So there's this 3-pin cable that I don't know where I should plug in. I wan't to plug it in because the top fan out of the 3 in my case doesn't spin. Is it okay to plug it in into one of the to JUSB headers, and if so, to which pins? I have an MSI 760GMA-P34 (FX) motherboard. The headache journey has ended. I have TUF B450 PRO GAMING, already bought components only to realize my motherboard only supports RGB HEADER (12v4pins) and no ARGB HEADER(5v3pins) at all and I have ARGB COMPONENTS T.T My goal is just to have everything in sync with my board, so I can control them from there. So I had to buy a converter and a hub (which would've cost me an upgrade of motherboard already with ARGB header, but I just can't let go of this TUF because of the good ratings and because I already have it) If you have multiple ARGB components like me (I have M.2 heatsink, fans, cpu cooler), you can just buy an ARGB hub which supports SATA connection from your PSU so it would draw it's power from there, then connect all your ARGB components into the hub, then into the Deepcool converter (converts ARGB-RGB), then into the RGB header of your board. The main downside is it would basically make your ARGB components RGB. And some of the effects on Aura Sync would have problems like in the rainbow transitioning, all the components kinda flash into a different color when transitioning to another one, they kinda struggle to produce the next color since it has downgraded into RGB. Will let you know if it ends up messing up my system in a week or so. Hope it doesn't lmao

hello, i recently got the phanteks p500a drgb version, as well as 2 sets of the phanteks neon drgb strip combos (1 set has 2 strips). my motherboard is the strix x470-f and has one 5v argb header. i have the 3 included case fans and the case's drgb strip currently daisy chained and plugged into the mobo header. i was wondering if adding those extra drgb strips (4 to be added in total) would overload the header on the motherboard? sorry im not too good with figuring out this kind of thing, i just wanna make sure i dont blow up the header from too much current or anything

Hi LTT, Hoping for a little help here, I have a CoolerMaster H500P Mesh. It has 2 200m ARGB fans attached to the case. These are wired into a splitter that has 3 male heads attached to my motherboards ARGB header. The 2 male heads are plugged into the 2 female ARGB fan ends leaving one male spare. I have the sapphire 6800xt and it has an ARGB out so you can link it to your other stuff. I know you can't put more than 5v through one ARGB header but I can't find a breakdown of the number of V dedicated to LEDs in my GPU so I would love to know if I'm going to blow my ARGB header by plugging into my splitter. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated

I got Asus A320M-F which is haven't got any RGB and ARGB input. Can I use this case? Is thıs case contains fan controller? I intend to switch to MSI B550-A PRO in the future. Have you got other case suggestion? Most of the cases aren't sold in my country. That means I might have to use Amazon. Remember the tax when recommending the product.Thanks.
