So, I just want to know is it possible to get money from someone, and to withdraw it from Apple Pay. Can on sites like Amazon/Ebay when I make sale of digital product, to get paid by Apple Pay? Thanks
-
I lost my wallet yesterday. I have looked everywhere. Had help looking for it too. All I can think is that it was taken out of my coat at work when I left my coat there. I'm frustrated because I always lose my wallet and then find it after tracing my steps. This time I can't find it which got me thinking; I never lose my phone, so should I get a phone wallet? I'll never lose my wallet again, but I hate phone wallets. I think they look tacky and I don't want to hold my phone in a case that has some cards sticking out of it. I'm thinking about going fully digital, but I need to know if it is still too early to do so. Here's some questions: What E-wallet do you use and why? Were you able to get rid of all your cards except your driver's license / State ID / FOID card? If you went full digital with the few exceptions of identification, what were the difficulties? Thanks! [EDIT]: More options to poll have been added

Android Pay and Apple Pay has been operating in Australia for a couple months now, and here is my thoughts on using the services. For the past couple of months, I have been using Android Pay since I own an OPPO Find 7 which is NFC enabled; I don't own an iPhone however, it is generally the same concept. Banks: Android Pay supports ANZ (Australian New Zealand Banking Group) - the 4th biggest bank in Australia, American Express and a handful of smaller financial institutions, and credit unions with support for Westpac coming soon. Apple Pay on the other hand supports ANZ and American Express. **At the moment, Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA), Westpac and National Bank of Australia (NAB) - the other 3 biggest banks in Australia - launched a cartel to the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) for not giving access to the NFC access on the iPhone, which would enable contactless payments to be made through their own digital wallets. Reason is that the banks do not want to forfeit the millions of dollars per year they would have earned from Apple Pay through interchange fees. A draft decision on the case will be made in October 2016. APPLE PAY: ANDROID PAY: Stores: Unlike the other countries, where it is a hit or miss adventure trying to figure out what store accepts Apple or Android Pay, around 90% of stores in Australia accepts 'tap and go' technology. According to ANZ, before to Android and Apple Pay, around 60% of their customers uses tap and go technology on their cards, and Australia is one of the first countries to use this kind of technologies. This means, that if you are buying groceries from Coles or Woolworths, buying food from Macca's (McDonald's, KFC, Subway, Red Rooster, Hungry Jacks, Nandos, or other resturant, buying office supplies from Officeworks, buying stuff from department stores such as Target, Big W, Kmart, Myer or David Jones, buying electronics and phones from Harvey Norman, JB Hi-Fi, The Good Guys, filling up your car at the service station at Woolworths Caltex or Coles Shell or purchasing phones or recharge credit from Telstra, Optus or Vodafone, you will be assured that Apple Pay or Android Pay will definitely work, 100% of the time, with no issues. All the stores that I have visited supported Apple Pay or Android Pay with no problems, and the payment goes through with no issues and no hassles. And the list above is all the major stores and eateries in Australia. Many medium and smaller stores also accepts these types of mobile payments - with the smaller stores, just make sure if they have tap and go enabled terminal so you can use Apple or Android Pay. Devices: Apple Pay is supported on iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6S, 6S Plus, SE, 7 and 7 Plus, running on the latest version of iOS. Android Pay is supported on any NFC Phone, running Android 4.4 or above, and the device is NOT rooted. Final Thoughts: There is a lot of promise for the two mobile payment systems, and within Australia, payments has become easier and quicker - no need for finding your credit or debit card in your wallet blackhole. Hopefully in the near future, both mobile payment systems will add support for transport system, replacing gocard for Brisbane and surrounds, Opal Card for Sydney or Minki Cards for Melbourne where it is only a tap and go on your phone, no need digging around finding the card. My experience with it so far is excellent as it provides a safe and secure way of purchasing goods and services. If you have any questions, or need clarification, comment below

Apple takes on PayPal with Apple Pay on the web Author: Megan Austin Source: http://bsccomment.com/2016/06/14/apple-takes-on-paypal-with-apple-pay-on-the-web.html [Apologies Mods but the length of the article was super short so it is all in the quote.] So yeah, Apple wants to take on PayPal I guess. Not really sure what to say but it seems to be their theme this year to announce products that others are already doing. Way to go Apple for inventing whats already invented. (I have a wheel that rolls better if Apple is interested) Thoughts?

Some of iOS 9‘s more important planned enhancements include split-screen apps on iPads, a new Home app for controlling HomeKit accessories, a new system-wide UI font, a mass transit directions service for the Maps app, and major quality, performance, and security enhancements (even for older devices!). However, multiple sources note that there will also be some smaller, but still important, tweaks to the operating system. iPhone 6S force Touch Sources confirm that the next-generation iPhone will look like an iPhone 6 but will include a Force Touch display with haptic feedback as one of its marquee feature additions. To go with the new hardware, Apple has designed iOS 9 to be Force Touch-ready and is working to let developers integrate Force Touch into App Store apps. Force Touch on the iPhone will be used to clear up some control space across the system, and potentially replace some long press-and-hold button interactions. Additionally, Force Touch on the iPhone will offer similar functionality to the Force Touch Trackpads built into new Retina MacBooks and Retina MacBook Pros. Force Touch will be integrated into Maps to drop new pins, into media players for pressure-sensitive scrolling, into the Calendar for adding new events, and across the system for quickly looking up word definitions, according to sources who have used Force Touch on prototype versions of the “iPhone 6S.” Keyboard Beyond Force Touch support, Apple is also working on an updated keyboard for iOS 9. Apple is said to have prototyped multiple new keyboard designs, including one that is slightly longer than the current keyboard and includes additional editing controls while in portrait mode Apple is said to have also redesigned iOS 8’s infamous Shift Key so that it is easier to tell when shift or caps lock is activated. Apple Pay for Canada In line with reports that Canada will become the first country outside of the United States to officially support Apple Pay, we are told that iOS 9‘s Passbook application includes the necessary foundation to support banks, credit/debit cards, and credit unions in Canada. While the technical side for Canada is being built into iOS 9, it’s unlikely that such a launch will be announced until Apple finalizes its negotiations with Canadian banks. iMessage Lastly, we are told that iMessage is expected to receive some minor but important enhancements. Apple has upgraded its back end infrastructure to support read receipts for group chat threads, as well as read receipts on a contact-by-contact basis. I'm glad that Apple's cooking up an update with major focus on stability with few tweaks here and there, therefore refining iOS. But what I'm most excited about is the iPhone 6S with force touch with haptic feedback (vibration feedback when typing woohoo!). Given how the new mac trackpads feel, I'm definitely stoked for the next iPhone Source: http://9to5mac.com/2015/05/26/ios-9-supports-iphone-6s-force-touch-may-enhance-imessage-keyboard-apple-pay/

Nothing like a bit of smooth start... Problem stemmed out from customers using Bank of America as their credit service provider, where customers who went on a shopping spree were charged double the amount that they actually had to pay , A quick search of Twitter found many other people experiencing this same exact problem. customers took to Twitter and Reddit after finding the duplicate charges on bank statements Bank of America has confirmed that it is issuing refunds for duplicate Apple Pay charges.. the issue doesn't appear to involve Apple's software It’s a disconcerting glitch for Apple, whose widely watched foray into mobile payments is seen as the best hope yet for making tap-to-pay commonplace there haven't been widespread reports of problems with other cards, and Apple itself doesn't process transactions Burke reports that he eventually got the charges refunded once Bank of America noticed they were obviously duplicate charges. Other customers haven’t had as easy a time getting refunds, but Bank of America says it’s working on a fix. Bonus: So if you have been using the apple pay method via Bank of America debit card, you should check your bank transaction & report if you're being double charged, Pretty harsh start for apple, what do you guys think? Post your thoughts rants & comments down belooooooooowww.... B) Linkety Link... http://money.cnn.com/2014/10/22/technology/mobile/apple-pay-double-charge/index.html

Source: http://9to5mac.com/2014/11/04/mcx-currentc-apple-pay-exclusivity/ Basically MCX reverts its policy of exclusivity of CurrentC which was most likely due to bad press in the past weeks. At first they said they would fine the company using any rival services, then they said they wouldn't but would be kicked out of their group and now all retailers are allowed to use both CurrentC and NFC Payment. The same exact story happened with the Xbox One and its DRM policies. Ha lol  CurrentC which was originally planned to save the bank's cut and to track people's shopping habits was supposed to be forced upon us has now turned into an alternative that no one will use. I mean c'mon, scanning QR Codes
-
So, get recked? Seriously, this is real bad news for MCX, if they don't get their self together they will fail in this serious market when it comes to security (if it weren't clear already, I mean QR codes what the heck?). *Update* MCX claims it won't effect the app users, but only the website accounts, nonetheless bad news. source: 9to5mac http://9to5mac.com/2014/10/29/mcxs-currentc-the-infamous-apple-pay-competitor-says-its-already-been-hacked/?pushup=1 source 2: The verge http://www.theverge.com/2014/10/29/7090409/currentc-email-addresses-stolen-hack-mcx

Crowd sourced table of contents... maybe not needed this week. News Apple Vs Retailers. War On Nfc Payment Technology. Source 1: linustechtips.com OP: Ijks Snow Source 2: finance.yahoo.com Source 3: slate.com CVS and Rite Aid in the US have stopped accepting Apple Pay no official statement from those companies speculation is that they are developing their own NFC payment software to save the 2-3% on each transaction Tim Cook “It’s a skirmish. Merchants have different objectives sometimes. But in the long arc of time, you only are relevant as a retailer or merchant if your customers love you.” On Saturday, the pharmacies Rite Aid and CVS (both members of the MCX) disabled Apple Pay from their stores, even though they have the compatible equipment that was working when Apple Pay launched last week. They also blocked Google Wallet, a similar system for Android phones that Google launched in 2012 MCX happens to be working on its own mobile payments app, CurrentC, which is in beta testing and is expected to launch next year. CurrentC requires you to scan a barcode to make payments, something proved to not be as secure as near-field communication and other encrypted technology used by Apple Pay and Google Wallet. Apple Watch Os Running On An Iphone Source 1: linustechtips.com OP: Dayo26 Source 2: theverge.com Source 3: 9to5mac.com Current iPhone home screen is still the same design as the original iPhone. The Apple Watch home screen is far more fluid, scales to any screen size without looking cramped or spaced out. All your apps are close by, all the time. The new ‘reachability’ feature that makes your screen slide down so you can reach items at the top of your screen is as good as an admission from apple that the current design is not meant for a screen this size. Apple has created an entirely new, modern home screen that is more intuitive, more flexible and adaptive as well. Only time will tell if this design trickles down to the iPhone, but the benefits it brings make it a strong contender for a new face of iOS. 1000 MPH On Land. Source 1: linustechtips.com OP: Benediction Source 2: wired.co.uk Source 3: wired.co.uk Richard Noble is spearheading a project called ‘Bloodhound SSC’. Richard is responsible for the previous land speed records in 1983 and 1997. The problem with land speed records is that drag from air increases with a squared ratio in proportion to the speed. Lockheed's A-12 could cruise at Mach 3, more than 2,000mph, for as long as it had fuel. The Bloodhound SSC’s wheels are solid disks of aluminum, each weighing more than 200lbs. At record-breaking speed, each wheel will become a centrifuge, subjecting the rim to the same G forces scientists use to separate DNA out of cells. At 1,000mph the radial load on each of Bloodhound SSC's wheels will be ~50,000G. It’s disk brakes are only meant to be used under 200mph. The car should reach 800 to 850mph in 2015, and then coming back the following year to hit 1,000mph.
