As anyone found any native 8K videos on YouTube? So many videos claim that they’re 8K, but are they? I mean, I’m on mobile, but have you found any native 8K? Maybe 8K 60FPS? What I mean by native 8K, is that 8K, that is actually 8K, not on a 1080p screen. Anyone have an 8K TV that you have watched 8K videos? Also, on like 1080p screens, can you go above 4K, and it actually look 4K, not just looked scaled up?

Budget (including currency): $3000.00 USD Country: United States of America Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: 16k video upscale via Video2X,8k video games and video rendering at maximum quality resalootion also obs studio Other details (2TB SATA 3 SSD boot drive,1TB m.2 Gen 3 SSD game drive,1TB HDD media storage drive,256GB boot drive,2025,8k or higher quality in games,16k in upscaling videos, etc): I already have a 2TB SATA 3 SSD boot device with a partition laying dormant for Windows 12 as I currently have Windows 11 so I just use it for storing my media somewhere besides my siblings drives I plan on getting 3 18TB HDD to store media and a 4TB m.2 Gen 5 nvme SSD because I don't see games running on a HDD in the future and I plan to use the computer build for the next 5 years and onwards even if I have to delete some old stuff along the way anyways would you recommend this to me for working on larger files because even if it is too much storage I'll find a way to fill it anyways do you recommend using this solution?.......

A recent article suggests that an Apple mixed reality headset would be the Macbook Pro of VR devices, and it would sell for a very high price, precisely 3000 dollars, due to the presence of two 8K displays. Quotes My Opinion Personally I can't see the need for any person to buy this product, however that doesn't mean there might not be people interested in it, the first example that comes to mind are those programmers who want to try their games or applications at the maximum graphic and visual potential. In conclusion for me it is a product for professionals belonging to a small niche of people who need the specifics of the product and are willing to spend a lot of money on it. Hi all My family is wiring our new house for TVs and in some spots we need a 15ft HDMI cable (the shortest length it can possibly be). I wanted to put in HDMI 2.1 cables because they are the latest and I know I am only getting one chance at wiring this house so I want to use the newest standard. Does anyone have any recommendations for a REAL HDMI 2.1 cable as a lot of the ones on Amazon are snake oil and don't actually meet the HDMI 2.1 standard. I know Linus did the HDMI cable test video but he didn't give model numbers for the cables and also I think I need "In wall" rated cables to pass inspection. Thanks all

My problem is simple. I love watching 8K stuff. Now, with my 1650Ti, when I run 8K videos, (with hardware acceleration enabled, graphics settings of the browser set to my dGPU both in NVidia Control Panel and Windows Settings), some videos decode with the GPU and run dope, smooth and crispy! But some don't. These ones work super smooth with GPU decode. This, this and this are smooth. Even the Yule Log works! And the MKBHD 8K Recap from 2017! BUT... For some reason, the 2020 LTT and MKBHD 8K videos don't decode with GPU! Why? The choke my CPU! Please explain why this is and how i can solve it! Note for moderators: I know this maybe the wrong sub forum, but please resolve before shifting. I couldn't decide where to post so I posted here.

How does a HD CRT tv compare to today's HDR OLED TVs, maybe even high-end Plasma, and 8K TVs? Brightness output, contrast, color, and motion performance. Compare from HDR sources such as 4K Blu-ray, streaming, and gaming, also from lower fidelity upscaled sources and older media. Could be a good video for @LinusTech to do. Would love to know how an HD CRT tv or monitor stacks up against modern TV tech. It would be cool to see some discussion about what you lose (like HDR and higher resolution support) vs what you gain (no need to upscale, better motion resolution, no input lag)

I've done quite a bit of researching and I've only been able to upload HDR videos up to 1080p. Are there any other settings I need to enable in Premiere for YouTube to offer HDR as a quality option? My current encoding settings: Profile: High10 Level: Unrestricted Color Space: Rec. 2100 PQ Color Primaries: Rec2020 Extra: Is it also possible to upload 8K 60FPS HDR VR videos and if so, what settings has to be enabled too?

Hello all, virgin pc builder here. I know display resolution is different from aspect ratio, but just bare with me... in this instance I am keeping ppi/dpi consistent. I drew up a little picture here to help you...get the picture. After some initial research I found that a true super ultrawide 4k monitor (like the 49" variety) would be around 7680x2160 pixels (i.e. 16,588,800 total pixels). Sooooo, since this is basically half the pixels of an 8k monitor (7680 × 4320), why do 8k monitors exist but these SUWUHD monitors do not? Or at least I cannot find any available atm. I would imagine a large but fine display like this would be super useful to just about everyone in terms of gami... I mean productivity right? And easier on the old eyeballs... Thanks for any and all insights!

Summary In a presentation by TCL, the company seems to have leaked out several next-gen products including AMD's Radeon RX 7700 XT graphics card, Sony PlayStation 5 Pro & new Xbox Series S/X consoles; all of which will be 8K capable, according to the TV manufacturer. Also, according to TCL, Sony and Microsoft could unveil new consoles already next year. Quotes My thoughts My assumption is that because the presentation slide says 2160p/60-120 render, they might possibly be implying they will be using FSR 2.0 to upscale to 8K. Current rumors also have the 7700 XT matching 6900 XT performance, and again while those are rumors; it corresponds to the supposed expectations that TLC predicts with these new consoles' capabilities. All in all if you were actually able to get ahold of an Xbox Series X or PS5, I'm sure you were pleased with its performance being more in line with a PC, and this generational refresh of the consoles seems to continue that trend. I'm wondering if any other specs are going to change on these updated consoles besides the GPU? The new Dell UP3218K Monitors require dual DisplayPort 1.4 to be driven. The new GTX 1080 Ti has unofficial support for both DP 1.3 and DP 1.4 but the only GPU with official support is the Quadro P6000's replacement: the Quadro GP100. It has 4 DP 1.4 ports so it could run 2 Dell 8k displays! There is no price yet for it but we can assume it will be around $5k like its predecessor so, with all that in mind lets build a new Compensator with workstation grade parts! I'm sure it'll be a hit with the industry, I expect we won't see these kind of resolutions being common for another 4-5 years as 4K only now seems to be beginning to hit the mainstream. I can't imagine the benefit of 8K for any normal consumer at the moment, I can't even discern pixels on my 27" 4K monitor without being <20cm away.

Okay... so Project Valerie is three 4K screens. On their website they advertise that as "12K." But, 4K = 4 1080p monitors. 8K = 4 4K monitors. SO HOW COULD THAT POSSIBLY BE 12K?!

My first post on this forum ... so I appologize if this is the wrong place to ask. I saw in Unboxing a PETABYTE of Storage - HOLY $H!T Ep. 16 ( https://youtu.be/uykMPICGeqw ) that they are now using 8K cameras? Does anyone know what camera they are using and what type of machine they are editing on?

Hello fellow builders, it seems I'm in need of your council. (^_^) I'm in the middle of designing a booth for a trade show and the key feature of the design should be a gigantic LCD display array. I've been doing a bit of research and have come up with two possible solutions. However I have no idea which one would be easier to set up as i have never worked with so many screens and at such resolutions. In the end I need all the panels to act as a single screen. The option no. 1: I can get my hands on 4 pieces of UHD 55" TVs (at about 500 Euros each) and lay them out in a 2x2 grid. That would give me effectively 4320p (8K-ish) screen of reasonable size with great pixel density as people are going to be able to walk up right to it. The option no. 2: The other variant is IMHO slightly more complicated. I can get 9 40" Full HD panels (at about 250 Euros each) and lay them out in a 3x3 grid. That would give me a bigger 3240p (6K-ish) screen with not-so-great pixel density. Personally I'm preferring the first variant but I'm interested in your opinions as well. The main issue I have with both setups is how to connect it all to a PC. Should I use some kind of DisplayPort splitter to two HDMIs? And what GPU do I need to drive this resolution? That brings me nicely to the last part of my inquiry... What to drive it with I need to build a single purpose PC to go along with the screen. Even though it is a massive resolution all I need is to display a website in full screen with some simple animation or play a video H.246/x264 or H.245 in MP4 or MKV. That's it. No crazy 8K gaming like Linus did in his video. (^_^) I'd like to keep the cost of this PC as low as possible since it is really going to serve this single purpose its whole life. Any suggestions? Namely for GPU and CPU?
