I have had the SE for exactly 1 year and 1 month at the time of this post. It is for sure a big upgrade from my old iPod 6th Gen lol. I got it for my birthday and it plays all the games I want to play smoothly since it’s the same power as the iPhone 11 with the A13 Bionic chipset. The camera is a HUGE step-up and this is the first device I’ve ever had 4K video on and it looks wayyyy better. I have had one, big problem with this phone, it’s the battery. Man, they really could’ve added a bigger battery, eh? It dies in like 2-4 hours of use and my battery health is already down to 88%. I might need to replace the battery soon or just get a new phone. Also, this phone right now you can get it for $250-300 on Amazon or $255 I saw on Walmart today. So in conclusion, don’t buy this phone right now. Get the 12 regular from Apple or 13 mini if you want a smaller phone. Rating: 8/10. Wish it had a bigger battery and not too chunky bezels.

I'm just curious how the general experience is people have with this NV feature, is it worth it, does it actually reduce latency? reading the internet reception seems to have been very mixed. So yay or nay? Did it improve in any way since February? (yes I'm on this driver and will stay on it because my game doesn't lag with it, any newer driver it does tho, and I'm only interested in low latency mode now, because I set texture quality to high, which made frame times worse, from 16 to ~22ms) Thanks.

What happens if I run out of RAM on my Mac? I really need to upgrade my Final Cut Pro X editing workstation, and therefore I'm looking to buy the new Mac mini with the M1 chip. However, I need this new computer quickly, and the 16 GB RAM model won't be ship to Sweden until early January. But they have the 8 GB RAM model in stock at the nearby Apple Store. Therefore, I'm thinking of buying that model and work on that until January. I checked Activity Control and I found that I'm usually using 7-10 GB of RAM when using FCPX. Since I sometimes use more RAM than 8 GB, what will happen if I edit on this 8 GB computer and run out of RAM?

1. Will I be able to play modern games with it (Cyberpunk 2077, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, etc) at a stable 60 fps? 2. Will it bottleneck? 3. Will ray tracing work at a stable 60 fps? BTW, sorry if my questions are common, stupid and dumb.

I was wondering down the line, what would be the best card for price and performance for ULTRA 1440p gaming at 70HZ? (I'm thinking of upgrading in like 2 years tops so I don't mind waiting for prices to go down for the currently new RTX 3000 series for Nvidia and RX 6000 series for AMD) The Graphics card I currently use is a GTX 1060 3GB, with a 1440p Monitor capped at 70HZ. Which works fine for me, since the games I play with friends at the moment are not demanding, so I don't need to upgrade as of right now. Games I play rn:League of Legends, Fall guys and Minecraft (with Shaders). Although, I've got lot's of games in my Catalogue that are way more demanding, so and upgrade would benefit for better performance at ULTRA 1440p, i.e. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Monster Hunter: World, GTA V, Payday 2, Subnautica and Abzu. What cards would you guys recommend? Would the RTX 3070 be overkill, or does AMD have better price to performace for their cards? Are they future proof?

Hi, I'm in high school and I want to do some light gaming with my i5 2500k. I'll be playing games like CS:GO, LoL and Fortnite (maybe even Roblox ) all at 1080p with medium/high settings. I have no idea as to which GPU I should choose. I've been leaning towards the RX 570 but idk, also I live in New Zealand so my options aren't that great. My PSU is Cooler Master GX 550W Bronze. Any help will be appreciated.

Source: Google I/O Google has officially announced through their Google I/O website, that the annual event is no longer going ahead, citing that the decision was made after local Bay Area counties - in which Google is headquartered in Mountain View, California - ordered residents to stay at home. Google have re-assured us by advising that their attention is solely on the safety of others who were originally going to attend the event, as well as advising that they were working on alternative methods to get their highly-anticipated annual event done this year. It comes as no surprise to me, as Google I/O is an in-person event that is held every year in May, it would have been a serious healthcare concern to the audience and the people involved at Google to have held it when the schedule meets the event. I trust that Google will find a way to showcase their new and upcoming hardware and/or software, as I'm sure many are still interested. In the FAQ section of their Google I/O website, Google has put the nail in the coffin for Google I/O this year: Extremely saddening news, but out of the interest of health and safety of the Google team, Google aren't the bad guys, and I'm sure we can trust them to find other ways of showcasing their new gadgets and gizmos this year.

So how are hackintosh machines doing in 2020? I'm interested in exploring the OS for free however I don't know much going into it. What should I know before jumping into it? Might try it on my Acer Aspire E15 laptop - intel i5 - 2C/4T x 2,6GHz up to 3,2 GHz, 8GB DDR3 RAM, some trashy hd graphics and a GTX 940m. So it's not the worst but since I was going to install a not yet decided which distro of linux, thought that I might as well try this thing first.

I think that happens when Outlook synchronizes new content. Every user have updated windows 10 but there are several different verions of Outlook. Did You encounter similar problem? I have searched the internet and there is no working solution anywhere.

Hi everyone, I've a fresh computer and I installed on it After Effect 2020 (version 17.0.0). I created a new project, added some solids and the pre-render window started glitching (as on the 2 screenshots) If I set a lower resolution (such as 1/4 on the first picture), no glitch, but at full res (you can see on the second picture). And the scariest part is that it's not a pre-render issue. If I try to render my composition, the glitch is also on the video file. I tried remove and reinstall the software, and updates didn't work to solve the problem. If someone has a solution, it would be great. (sorry for my bad english ^^)

Hello, I just wanted to point out that there might be really good laptops that are easily overlooked in the shadow of the big names like Asus, MSI, Dell, Hp, LG, Microsoft and Apple; laptops made by small European or American companies consisting of enthusiasts. I am talking about laptops specifically designed for Linux, from the likes of System76, Slimbook and Tuxedo Computers. These all have some new laptop models, which are powerful, capable, modern machines. Feel free to add suggestions to the list and discuss any aspect of these machines, even in the context of models from big brands with similar specs. System76 Lemur Pro The Lemur Pro is a thin, professional laptop from System76 somewhat aimed towards developers who would like to code a lot on the go, but it is usable for anyone. It will not game exceptionally, or stand out in heavy video work, but it is a capable machine. It has i5-10210U and i7-10510U variants with integrated graphics, a matte 14.1" fullHD display, up to 40GB DDR4 memory, 2 M.2 slots, 73Wh battery which is claimed to last 10 hours on light tasks, type-C charging, 2 type-A ports and full-size HDMI, microSD card reader combo Jack, backlit keyboard and a weight just under 1kg. It comes with Pop! OS preinstalled (although there is an Ubuntu option), and starts at $1,099. Have a look at https://system76.com/laptops/lemur Slimbook Pro X Slimbook Pro X 15 These beautiful machines come right from Spain, from a manufacturer that cares about its customers. Their magnesium-alloy matte chassis, thin bezels, great keyboard, discrete graphics and IR face recognition hardware make them stand out. The Pro X is 14" in terms of screen size. It is equipped with an 7-10510U processor, Geforce MX250 2GB GDDR5 dedicated graphics (with the option to switch between internal and dedicated graphics), up to 32GB DDR4 memory, dual M.2 slots, fullHD IPS display (claiming 99% sRGB coverage) and a wide variety of IO: 3 type-A USB ports, full-size HDMI, type-C, Ethernet, combo Jack. Other outstanding features include the 720p webcam with built-in IR face recognition hardware, which has support in Ubuntu-based Linux systems thanks to their Slimbook Face app, the thin, clean aesthetic not unlike Macbooks, the spacious and excellent backlit keyboard, up to 11 hours battery life thanks to the Slimbook Battery app, huge trackpad with gesture support, SoundBlaster Cinema 5 audio, and a weight of 1.08kg. There is a selection of preinstalled OSes: Ubuntu, Debian, Elementary, Mint, Manjaro, KDE Neon, Zorin OS, Windows 10 or even a Windows 10 + Linux dual-boot config. The 14" model starts at $1,115 (before shipping). Have a look at https://slimbook.es/en/pro-x-en The Pro X 15 has a screen size of 15.6". It features an i7-9750H processor, Geforce GTX 1650 Max-Q Turing dedicated graphics (with the option to switch between integrated and dedicated), a weight of 1,5kg, 100% sRGB coverage, up to 12 hours of battery life, a microSD reader, but otherwise the same specs and features as the Pro X. It starts at $1,300 before shipping. Have a look at https://slimbook.es/en/prox15-en Tuxedo InfinityBook Pro 14 Tuxedo InfinityBook S 14 Tuxedo InfinityBook Pro 15 Tuxedo Manjaro InfinityBook Pro 15 These are the newest laptops from Tuxedo Computers, a manufacturer originating from Germany. They are powerful, customizable and elegant. The Pro 14 has either an i5-10210U or an i7-10510U processor, fullHD IPS matte display, up to 64GB DDR4 RAM, up to 2TB NVMe storage, optional LTE, encrypted OS options (their "Tuxedo OS" is based on Ubuntu), optional Windows dual-boot, 1.4kg weight and up to 5-6h battery life. It has 2 type-A ports, 1 type-C with Thunderbolt 3 and charging, 1 mini-DisplayPort, 1 full-size HDMI, microSD card reader, Ethernet, and separate audio jacks. It starts at $1,040. The S 14 is the same Clevo chassis as the Lemur Pro, the same processor options, same memory options, same battery, same display, same ports, same storage options as the Pro 14, claimed 10-12h battery life, same OS options as the Pro 14, 1.1kg weight, and starts at $1,270. The Pro 15 and Manjaro Pro 15 have 15.6" fullHD IPS displays, the same processor options, up to 64GB RAM, same storage options, 6-8h battery life, 2 type-A ports, a type-C with Thunderbolt 3 and charging, mini-DisplayPort, full-size HDMI, separate audio jacks, Ethernet and microSD reader. The OS options for the Pro 15 are the same as the Pro 14 and S 14, but the Manjaro edition comes with Manjaro preinstalled, and no Windows option. Both come in silver and red variants. The Pro 15 starts at $1,190 and the Manjaro Pro 15 starts at S1,300. Have a look at these at https://www.tuxedocomputers.com/en/Linux-Hardware/Linux-Notebooks/Alle.tuxedo# There are AMD notebooks too from Tuxedo Computers. There are gaming-focused models with GTX or RTX graphics and ones for deep learning and AI. @LinusTech I would love to see a review of any of these. Don't they sound compelling? Especially the Slimbook Pro 15.

So I’m about to start editing soon as well as live streaming. The videos are going to be fairly basic (mainly talking/ vlogging) and the live streaming is going to be fairly similar. I’m looking for a laptop that can edit 4K videos easily and handle some light live streaming. The primary focus is editing since that is what it will mostly be used for. I would prefer a battery life of around 3 hours, and I will most likely have some form of external storage for the videos. The screen also does not have to be 4K even though I’m editing 4K footage since the footage will be so basic. Price also is not an issue really, so the main focus is getting a laptop that will do what I need. Feel free to link or discuss any suggestions you have for me! It is greatly appreciated! Also any questions I will do my best to answer! Thanks!

Hello All, I'm looking to buy a new tool set and iFixit looks like a good option to me. Can you please share your thoughts, experience and recommendations regarding this tools? I'd like to highlight that I'll use the tools for maintenance and/or upgrades related with laptops/PCs/consoles. I don't plan to bother with phones/tablets. P.S. I was able to find some topics related with my question but they were quite old and that's why I'm posting another one

Hi Guys, I have been planning to get the google pixel 3a for my girlfriend as a gift, but i was wondering whether it's still a good buy or not, given it's 11 months after it's launch. My budget is a hard 400$, so i was considering this or the nokia 7.2, as she does have a 6.1 right now, which she loves, but her screen broke, and she herself is not willing to change. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Budget (including currency): $600 Country: United States Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Some steam games most likely Battle royals game and also recording with obs. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I’m not totally sure what I want for graphics, but I’m not really a freak about it. Also Im willing to pay little extra if it really helps. Also I would like some RGB and none black case. Thank you!
