Budget (including currency): £500 Country: England Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Rust, Fortnite, COD Other details: I'm looking to build a gaming setup but i only have a budget of £500 For my CPU i am either going to use a Intel 12100F or Ryzen 5 5600 as I have been told these are great for budget builds but I am stuck as to which GPU and mother board to use and was wondering if anyone else has a parts list within my budget for a build they have already done that are capable of smoothly running games such as COD and Rust.

Hello, I am hoping to get a gaming pc for my birthday/xmas this year and I am trying to work with a budget of £500. I have enclosed my pic part picker list below. I know it is a little over budget but I think it will be ok. Could you help make any suggestions or improvements. I would really like to have my OS (windows 10) put within the budget threshold as well. Thanks in advance. My Part picker list: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/Kiedob30/saved/rqx3CJ

Hi all, I am going to be upgrading a friends PC, he is running a rather old PC with quite low specs for gaming. https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/RxzGQV Here is a link to his current set up, this would include a bronze 500w PSU, 1TB HDD and a 60gb SSD, mid-tower case. I would like to upgrade or salvage as many parts as I can to create a £500 budget gaming PC that has the possibility to be upgraded in the future, below is a quick mock up which is over-budget but I think the Mobo and possibly the CPU will need changing to be more future proof. https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/TdRMsJ Any help on the best way to upgrade this pc would be appreciated. -Jamie

I have more or less narrowed down my parts list and have come up with this list of specs - https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/CrySis.Lex/saved/mmvFGX - Its price is slightly more on pc part picker and is actually £579 including shipping etc. The computer's uses are - gaming, live course work and light/mid adobe suite and cad work. All opinions, thoughts etc are welcome especially about the psu and case. All help is great! Thanks in advance, Lex.

Hi all, I was wondering if there are any decently priced HTPC sized workstations available? I have had a look around with the Vivomini being a good size however other small form factor PCs with decent performance seem to be hard to come by. I could go a little bigger, mostly vertically and possibly build my own if that would be the better choice? The main program I need it to run is Autocad and since it will mostly be a presentation PC only minor changes will be made in the program. I am looking around £500 give or take. Any help would be largely appreciated. -Jamie

I'm trying to build a pc at around £500. (ill probably get a GPU after Christmas). My dad had 2 servers that he didn't use. One of them was quite new and a very good server but had ransomware on it. The other was quite old but did have an HDD with full windows 10 pro. He took them home because he knew some of the parts may be of use too me. All I had to do was replace the hard drive from the new computer with the old computer and after many stressful hours of trying to change some raid controller options, I got it to boot properly. It all works and I now have a pc that's running an activated version of Windows 10 with no ransomware. My PC now is: CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1270 V2 3.5Ghz PSU: 350w Storage: 2x500gb wd black (These were the ones that had ransomware so I wiped them) + 1x320gb Seagate (a good quality one ) Ram: 4x2gb DDR4 As its, a server it's not configurated for everyday use such as the 5 min boot times and no audio and crazy loud fans. So as I knew I would need to get a new mobo down the line to install a GPU I thought why not get one now and solve all these issues as well as a new case for aesthetic reasons and more importantly the fan noise. The CPU uses an LGA1151 socket but as I've come to find out it can not go on all LGA 1151 mobo what chipset would you recommend and/or a particular mobo for me full ATX and at around £100 pls Also what case would you recommend for max £50, I was thinking Corsair spec alpha as it comes with 3 case fans and plantly of space but I might want a PSU shield And finally thanks a lot if you've got this far, what GPU and would you recommend I was thinking either 1050ti or wait like a month till I can pay for a 1060. and yes I will probs need a 450w or more PSU. Thanks so much for reading and if you could spend some time to help me that would be amazing.

He had a budget of £500 http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/Bluebeano/saved/rrxD4D What do you guys think, this is the first build i've designed that used a non-adjustable budget, as i was happy to pay a bit more for some things in my build and it was higher budget I used the preowned price for the 960 and i'm going to recommend he go preowned for more parts

So here's the dealio: I have 500 of the big ones to build a heavily productivity focoused machine, but is still aable to play games like CSGO and Minecraft comfertabley. The programs being used are like Adobe PS and Premiere and also using a program called "Matlab" or somehing like that. It also should be able to handle Autodesk easily. This is what I came up with: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor (£179.99 @ Amazon UK) CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler (£26.99 @ Novatech) Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97-D3H ATX LGA1150 Motherboard (£57.99 @ Ebuyer) Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury White 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory (£29.64 @ Amazon UK) Storage: Silicon Power S60 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (£30.68 @ Amazon UK) Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (£37.98 @ Novatech) Video Card: Asus Radeon R7 260X 1GB Direct CU II Video Card (£66.66 @ CCL Computers) Case: NZXT Source 210 Elite (White) ATX Mid Tower Case (£31.98 @ Novatech) Power Supply: Corsair Builder 430W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply (£39.79 @ Amazon UK) Total: £501.70 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2016-05-02 07:45 BST+0100 Any Ideas or Thoughts?

So I need a new PC and my budget is in the £500 range. I mainly use my PC to play X-Plane and CS:GO but do use it for auto-cad as well. It needs to be quiet, have a good case, and parts with long warranties like Zotac's 5 year one for their GPU's and also perform well but it doesn't need a particular colour scheme. The PC I have at the moment is one with an i5 4460, 16GB's of RAM and a GTX 760 but it is being returned to amazon cos it is on its last legs so I need a fitting replacement. I don't need a new monitor and the budget doesn't include windows. X-Plane relies on good single threaded performance so no AMD processors please. My current rig gives me around 50fps with these settings (attachment below) and without mods or scenery. In the future though, I might use this scenery http://www.alpilotx.net/downloads/x-plane-10-hd-mesh-scenery-v3/ and it recomends 16 GB of RAM. Also, when in a fast plane the scenery does not keep up so an ssd might be a good option for the build. Thanks for all the help!

Can anyone help me to find out if these components are compatible, as this is my first build I do not really know what I should be looking for, Do not mind if I have to spend an extra 100-200 if there is a much better upgrade choice. This Pc will be used primarily as a workstation but May sometimes be used for medium quality gaming. Was thinking of upgrading to an i5 but I do not know what that would entail http://www.amazon.co.uk/registry/wishlist/3JLOJWU07QY5I

Hello, I am building a PC with a budget of around £500-£700. The games I intend to play are X-Plane 10 and CS:GO. X-Plane really only runs on one core which put AMD CPU's out of the question. The case I have chosen is the Corsair Air 240 which is £69 from amazon because its pretty small but has good airflow and the rest of the build is in the link below. I also find the warranty of the parts important (minimum 3 years) and good customer service. Any ideas on how to get the build closer to the £500-£600 mark? Thanks ;-) http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/hWxKrH

Gaming and Recording Pc for Around £500
ThatGuyNamedKasper posted a topic in New Builds and Planning
1. Budget & Location My budget is £500 but £550 is max. I am in London, UK. 2. Aim My aim with this system is to play games from medium to high settings with 60fps and over if possible, I would also like to be able to record on this pc, recording games, video edit - not heavy and do some occasional streaming. Some of the games I will be playing are, CS.GO, TF2, Minecraft, Fractured Space, GTA V PC. 3. Monitors I am planning on running this pc with one monitor, you do not have to include the monitor in the build. 4. Peripherals I just need a simple keyboard and windows 7 64bit. 5. Why are you upgrading? I'm not. -
Here we are! My soon to be build! What do you think? It's going to be used for 3d design work (inventor/3DS max/Maya/blender) as well as 3d and 2d animation on Maya, blender and other software. I will also be coding and doing digital art on it (this includes webdesign and photoshop). I will also be doing a bit of video editing to try it out. I also can't forget gaming. I will be gaming on whatever titles I can get cheap (MC/CS:GO/GMOD/TF2/Raze/skyrim/etc). I may also be trying out Music creation on audactity etc (anyone know any good software for it!) All on a budget of £500! So I finally got my crap together after *cough* several *cough* posts into the workbench section of the forums, and now, think I've done it (minus a GPU). So I managed to fund about £100 extra to what I had before so I had to redo again reaching a budget of £500 (always check under your couch ) Now however, I am stuck. I have about £140 - £150 left for my GPU and I'm wondering if it's worth saving a bit longer and get a GTX 960 (which I'm slightly hesitant to do due to less RAM) or grab a R9 280. Another thing I was considering was picking up a used 280x/290 for about that price, and I am wondering what the risks are to that and whether they're worth it or not, and also if anyone has found anywhere to get one for that price. I do not need windows as I have a buddy who's giving it to me. I have 2 <1080p monitors, however I might get a new 1080p monitor a little later down the line. It will be used for gaming (MC/GMOD/TF2/CS:GO/WoT/WoBS/Skyrim/Raze); 3D design work (Maya/Inventor/AutoCAD/3DS Max); 2D art (Phtoshop); learning to code (HTML/C++/CSS/Java) and general school work (MS office) Anyway, without further ado: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor (£130.94 @ Aria PC) Motherboard: Asus H81-GAMER ATX LGA1150 Motherboard (£68.82 @ Scan.co.uk) Memory: Kingston Fury Black Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory (£55.93 @ CCL Computers) Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (£35.94 @ Aria PC) Case: BitFenix Comrade ATX Mid Tower Case (£33.02 @ Amazon UK) Power Supply: Corsair Builder 430W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply (£37.19 @ Aria PC) Total: £361.84 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2015-01-25 01:20 GMT+0000 EDIT: Posted wrong build - Fixed Now
