Weird question but I tried to get my xbox 360 kinect to work for a free working webcam for my PC. I have the 1414 model for the kinect and I have all the drivers right connector (xbox to pc) and the camera doesn't work on it but the microphone does. I've tried everything. Trying different drivers, restarting PC, reconnecting kinect, and just about everything. My friend got his to work but not too sure what model he has. Like I said I get the mic working but not the camera part of it. If you know how to fix this please let me know!! Thanks!

I'm having a really strange problem where when I launch a game, my webcam turns on and starts displaying in the top left corner of the screen. So far I have only noticed this on Battlefront 2 (Origin) Project cars 2 (Steam) and Death Stranding (Steam). I know it isn't doing it for Valorant, Beam NG Drive, or GTA5. I have absolutely no idea why it would be doing this and its really annoying to have to turn off/unplug my webcam whenever I want to play one of those games. Funnily enough it also doesn't turn off if I unplug it after the game starts. It will just keep displaying the last frame, making me restart the game to fix it. Does anyone have any idea whats going on here or how to fix it?

Hello everyone! Hope you're all safe and well. I have an old Nexus 4 but the touchscreen is not working. Is there any way to use it as a webcam without being able to control the phone?

I am looking for a webcam, ideally with a good microphone so that I don't have to get two separate devices. A regular HD video stream is more than fine, it is the microphone that I care more about. I'm not looking to stream content, just to video call with clients and friends. I am currently using the Microsoft HD Lifecam 5001 and it does the trick for video but the microphone does not pick up my voice very well. If possible I'd like one that can also filter out background noise a touch (I have a mechanical keyboard that is quite loud over call during video games or just chatting with friends). I currently use RTX voice to help with that issue and it works to an extent but I feel like a better microphone array would be ideal. I've tried to search online but I can't seem to find evaluations of webcams based on their audio performance. Perhaps this is because there isn't much of a difference but I am still curious. My desk space is kind of cramped so I ideally don't want to get a separate microphone (maybe in the future when I get a bigger place) or deal with getting an arm to attach to the desk Please let me know if you have any suggestions!

I usually using my dslr(Canon 750d) as a webcam. I connected it using a hdmi capture card and a dc adapter so the camera battery doesnt need to be replaced, but theres a problem the camera is always shut down by itself because its overheating and its just doesnt practical everytime i want to use it i should turn on the camera, openi obs, then start the virtual cam to make zoom can recive output from obs. so getting a webcam is a perfect solution, I dont know which brand makes good webcams so I dont know to buy which one. Please give me a webcam recommendation that can record 1080p at 30fps around 50$

I recently bought a webcam over at my local BestBuy for Skype calls, and quick photo capture for when my phone is dead, But I noticed there is a major issue with either the software, or the camera itself. The current Logitech Webcam Software I have installed is version is 2.51 - Build 13.51.828, the installer I installed it with is "lws280.exe", so I don't know if that means I have outdated software or not, But I noticed when I unplug it and plug it back in, Logitech Software DETECTS I have a webcam But then when I go to the Quick Capture button, it says that there is no Logitech Webcam Detected. I've reinstalled this software a 100 times, checked to make sure ALL of my drivers are up to date, such as USB and Chipset, I've always switched different USB ports, to 3.0 to 2.0 and back, but nothing seems to work, the ONLY time, I can seem to get it to work, is when I reboot my PC, which is highly irritating as I have to do that quite frequently. I am currently running Window's 10 Pro, Version 1803 Build 17134.137, So I am using the most up to date version of Window's as well. Can ANYONE Tell me what is going on here?

I have a Logitech ClickSmart 510 webcam which doesn't seem to like WIndows 10. Logitech only provides drivers up to XP. I plug it in and windows recognizes it as a multifunction usb adapter, but fails to recognize the camera and doesn't give me any functionality at all. On Linux, Video4Linux2 recognizes the camera with no difficulties and I can use it as normal. Is there a way to either get this camera to work on Windows or to get Video4Linux2 drivers in Windows?

Hi Everyone, Recently I noticed a white-ish spot(please see red circle) on my HP Laptop integrated webcam near the normal big circle, is it normal to be like that? What do you think it is? Could it be a water droplet? Is it normal to be there? Thank you in advance.

I found quite an old post here someone asking about this topic and replies assumed that Canon G12 didn't have HDMI port. Well, it does have HDMI , remote, AV out.

2500 bitrate is enough if you streaming in 1280x720 (24fps) with OBS or go for 3000? Is there any noticeable quality difference between 2500 and 3000? Specs: - Logitech C270 - i3-5005U (Quicksync supported) - 4G mobile internet (6-10Mbps upload speed)

Question regarding mobile internet (figured this was probably the most relevant subforum?). Planning on using an LTE connection using a HUAWEI LTE E8372 Hotspot Turbo Stick on a laptop for 720p webcamming on Bell's network just north of the GTA in a weird dead zone where broadband and DSL aren't available. Is an LTE connection going to provide a fast enough upload speed for smooth webcamming? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm an entrepreneur and engineer, currently working on a project that requires thin tension hinges, and I noticed some hinges that I liked in the mount system on Microsoft Lifecam webcams, particularly the Lifecam 3000. I don't know who at Microsoft can tell me how those hinges were acquired or sourced. It's about 1 inch tall, by 1 inch wide, by 1/8th inch thick. The torque is about 18 inch pounds, or 2.5 cm/kg i think. No hardware or production company has been able to find a tension hinge so thin. I neeeeed hinges that are just like this one. Please let me know of any questions or concerns. I have attached photos, a sketch, and video of the exposed hinge itself. schwartz0193@gmail.com. Video of Hinge.MOV

Wondering if anyone else has had issues with their Logitech Brio. I bought one several weeks back, and I've never been able to get it to work 100%. I'm fairly convinced that it's got to be an issue with USB 3.0 and 3.1 controllers, but just curious if anyone else has experienced the same? First off, basic specs of my machine as follows. Asrock X99 Taichi i7-6850 16gb ddr4 GTX 1080ti founders ed Windows 10 Pro 64 bit. 28" AOC 4K monitor Clearly I have enough grunt to run this camera. Now my motherboard has 2x USB 3.1 ports (Type A and C) running on an Asmedia 1142 controller, and the USB 3.0 and 2.0 run off an Intel USB controller. When I plug my camera in to the Asmedia ports, and open the Logitech Configuration app, I get a crystal clear picture, but if I open Windows Camera (the recommended app as it supports 4k) it tells me my camera is in use by another app. If I use OBS or XSplit or any other app, if I'm lucky, I might get a 1280x720 picture, but as soon as I try to change resolution to 1920x1080 or 3840x2160, the camera either turns itself off, or crashes the app. if I plug the camera in to one of my Intel USB 3.0 ports, all the apps function, and allow me to change resolution etc, but the picture looks absolutely abhorrent. It's noisy and grainy, too dark in areas, too light in others, and it doesn't matter what resolution I set it at, it always looks the same. Even using the Logitech Config app. Has anyone else experienced this? Has anyone got one working perfectly for them? If so, what controller runs your USB ports? I've contacted Microsoft, Logitech and Asrock in an attempt to get this sorted, but none of them have been any use at all. I've tried all manner of drivers for the USB ports (microsoft, official drivers from manufacturer, modded drivers) but none of them have made a difference. I've even tried using the default USB Video Device driver from windows instead of the camera driver from Logitech, but that also made no difference. I've read from at least one other person that they suspect an incompatibility with Asmedia USB ports, so i'm thinking my only option may be to get a USB PCI-e card, but I want to see if I can confirm a controller that works so I buy the right one.

Hi all Hope this is the right place to post this but I need advice as I don't have any experience with Webcam's. I want to get a webcam for a boardroom to do peer to peer video calling on Skype or similar. My budget allows for something like the MS Lifecam Studio or Cinema , Logitech c925 or c925. Which one would work best for my setup? The room has windows on two sides with blinds but there is still a lot of natural light in the room. The boardroom can seat about 10 people. Don't care about the mic quality as I'm already using proper equipment for the voice. I will mount the camera on a 55inch 1080 monitor at the bottom of the boardroom table.

Hello everyone, I'm writing this after two weeks of ripping my hair out of my head. I bought a Logitech C920 with the purpose of recording and streaming games and design tutorials. You know, something to keep me busy and stop procrastinating. It should be easy, right? Just plug it in and have fun. But apparently, the PC Gods punish me to the point of desperation. When I try to set-up my webcam in StreamlabsOBS or just OBS classic, the image stutters (the same thing in LogiCapture). Here's an example of my ongoing torture: Youtube Link. Here is how it behaves: in some settings, when I just preview the image in OBS there is just a minor stutter on the bottom of the screen (once every minute or so). When I press record the image stuttering gets a bit more frequent and when I open a game it stutters like crazy. While doing all this (obs recording and gaming) my CPU is at ~80 %, RAM at ~50% and GPU at ~50%. I will post my specifications at the end of my post. There are two programs in which the camera does not stutter: Camera Settings (from Logitech) and Logitech Gaming Software. But you can't record or stream in both programs, so it's useless. I've tried everything I could find on the internet, still no results. I did find however someone from which I could borrow a Logitech C922 Pro Streaming...AND IT DOES THE SAME THING ; _ ; So, I tried my luck with something new: Razer Kiyo. And guess what. Yes, same goddamn thing. The same, goddamn torture. Here's what I tried so far and some info: Yes, all the drivers are up to date. Yes, I did try all the USB ports (motherboard, case, monitor) Yes, Windows 10 is original and up to date. Opened StreamlabsOBS and OBS with Administrator, with and without compatibility mode on, same results. I've changed the PC power settings to High Performance and disabled Windows's option to "save energy" by turning off usb ports. I've manually set up the Image Device driver to be "USB Port" instead of the last Logitech or Razer driver. Reinstalled USB Port Drives. Blocked my antivirus from interfering with the webcam privacy restrictions. Turned the unnecessary Logitech background processes. Tried all the settings options for the camera (50hz,60gz, autofocus on/off, low light compensation on/off and so on) Talked with Windows Support. Talked with Razer Support. Posted in Logitech forum twice with no answer. Troubleshoot everything I could find to troubleshoot. Scanned PC for virus or broken files. CMD Scan. Nothing...nothing works. There is only one thing I need to specify that I've noticed: The stuttering of the image depends on the USB port I plug it to, USB3.0 is bad, USB3.1 and USB C is a bit better, but still stuttering. Here is my PC Build: Case, Motherboard, CPU, GPU, RAM, Samsung SSD 150 and Toshiba 1TB HDD, Power source. I don't know what else to do, where else to go. If you have any clue on what is going on, please give it a shot. I have run out of...everything O _ O Thanks for taking your time to read this, it means alot. Have a great day!

So i recently got a c270 logitech webcam that shoots 720p 30fps. Does anyone know what I can do to make the webcam look better? I already have a lamp acting as a light so I'm ok in that section. Mostly asking best way to make it look color accurate. Thx.

So I'm looking to upgrade my camera that I use for streaming, because unfortunately my C910 that I bought for 4.00 at a Goodwill is starting to stutter and freeze, and eventually just stop working at first I thought it was with Streamlabs but I tried it other places and it just kind of slowly started dying out on me. I have a few prospect webcams in mind, like the Razer Kiyo, or the C920 but I had also considered getting like a DSLR camera and a tripod to use as my main streaming camera like I have seen a few people do, but my question first is what are the pros and cons of one VS the other, and the other question is what would you recommend that provides the most bang for the buck? I'd like to keep under 200.00 as I want something quality, perhaps that also works well with Streamlabs Chroma Key effect for use with a green screen.

Hey everyone, i got a problem with my pc, when i play a game, 144hz work fine, but when i enable webcam on skype and wanna have skype on my second monitor, it suddantly gets laggy and feels like 60hz or something in my games but my fps is somewhat not affected, i use displayport, and have enabled 144hz in windows settings, and then, if i wanna fix it, i need to either restart the game, og restart the computer, for an hour ago, i tried removing my second monitor, and that somehow solved my problem a little, . my speccs, Motherboard: GIGABYTE z87-d3hp CPU: i7-4790k 4.0-4.4 GHz GPU: MSI gtx 1070 gaming x 8gb RAM: Kingston HYPER FURY 8x2 GB 1600MHz Monitors: ASUS VG248 1920x1080 144hz ASUS VS247H 1920x1080 60hz
