Hey everyone, over the weekends my friends came over and downloaded some weird things on my laptop and now whenever i google something on Chrome, it will say waiting for loadstart.biz. The strange thing is that it brings me directly to google. Is it tracking my data? And how should I remove it? I tried using adwcleaner, hitmanpro and mcafee internet security but none of them detected anything. I even reinstalled chrome, checked my installed programs and the registry but found nothing. Can anyone please help me?

Hi all! I have searched on the internet for a long time, but I still don't understand it: how does a virus in a virtual machine spread through NAT? Example: I have an 3 year old laptop on which I only use virtualbox to test viruses (for fun). The laptop is connected(wifi) to a router which on his turn connects to 3 other computers. The shared folder is set to read only and the virtual windows 10 get's it's internet connection from NAT. To the point: Is possible that a virus like wannacry escapes from the virtual windows 10, goes on the network and infects the other 3 computers? If that's possible, how the hell then? I thought NAT was a virtual connection. I hope you guys can help me. I apologize for my terrible English.

Hi, my phone has been loading it's cellular connection randomly for the past month. I finally got a new phone, iPhone 6s and it is still occurring. I did transfer everything from the old phone onto the new phone. Could it be a virus? Please help.

I have a search engine that has installed itself in Chrome called chromesearch.today that is impossible to remove. I have tried getting rid of every single Chrome-related file, as well as the registry key for it using Malware Bytes, yet it is still there. I have checked the Chrome shortcut target, which is default, so no issue there. Have googled possible solutions and nothing so far has worked. I have little experience removing these sorts of things, and would really appreciate some help. Thanks

I have been playing and streaming Star Wars Battlefront II beta for a long time with great FPS, but at some point, it started to get quite laggy. I just figured that it's because it's a more intensive game and maybe it can't handle it as well. It was pushing the CPU all the way to 100% After the beta finished I went back to playing and streaming Minecraft. my computer is extremely strong and is able to handle Minecraft but it beginning to crumble and I was only getting 20 FPS (Without streaming I have been getting about 40 FPS, still not that great). important computer parts that I think you might need to know: CPU: I5-6600K GPU: GTX 1060 gaming of republic Motherboard: z170 gaming I thought that I might have a virus on my computer so I did multiple scans with Norton but it did not detect anything. the CPU has been running about 50% then all the tasks combined. If I have Minecraft at 20% with a few applications open like a couple browsers and then normal pieces stuff what should add up to about 26 or so it's the CPU will be at 45%. I have absolutely no idea What is happening and a bit worried that I might have a virus on my computer. If anyone could help me out that would be fantastic.

Hey everyone so i downloaded some drivers for a webcam i hadn't used in a while and shortly after my Windows Defender popped up several times telling me that it had discovered a Trojan Virus (Trojan:Win32/Dynamer!ac) in (ACPPlugins.dll). I clicked to remove the virus every single time it popped up ( i think it popped like 3 or 4 ) . And then i restarted and made another scan where nothing was found. I also proceeded to do a system restore back to 2 days ago to be completely sure . Is there anything i should worry about or that i have forgot to do or am i ok ? Thanks in advance !

Very recently there has been a new wannacry like virus spreading. It's called 'Petya'. It's based on the same principle as the wannacry virus so make sure your computer is UP TO DATE. Microsoft has solved the original problem that caused the wannacry virus so if your machine is up to date you should be safe. Do your own research! Some have claimed to have found a 'vaccine' for it but make sure YOUR computer is safe! Stay safe friends.

Kaspersky , a well known multinational cyber-security and anti-virus software provider is celebrating it's 20th Birthday , it was announced on this occasion that there will be a free basic Kaspersky Anti-Virus version being released to the public, The Software manufacturer hasn't had offered a free version of it's top tier software's except for minor free tools & basic free trials which runs it's course around over a month max . Their AV solutions have been on the very best AV choice list in terms of detection & stable program that is light weight & ease of use. General Software reviewers gave the Kaspersky AV solution 4 - 5 star ratings in majority of their reviews A reminder this is a basic version of the software , meaning you'll get the same time signature updates , Quarantine , Browsing protection , Email scan & the self protection feature to keep the software itself safe from attacks , Hey, it's better than Windows defender . For a lot more premium feature you do need to pay , like parental control, Secure Pay, Virtual KB/Anti-Keylogger , VPN, Customer support , The software release is set to be done periodically , so depending on the region You might have to wait to get your hands on the free version of the software , The first wave of free version release covers US, Russia,Canada,Sweden,China & a few other countries & rest of them will be released slowly . Countries like India, Hong Kong, Middle East, Africa, Turkey and Latin America will have to wait till September to get their hands on the software , Kaspersky?? Isn't that the Russian company? Kaspersky recently made a slight headlines as US Congress made a move to blanket ban the Kaspersky products from the PC used by government systems because of feared Manufacturer is based on Russia & might be succumbed to eaves drop from Russian political official influence. The company responded by saying it will provide it's source code directly to the concerned officials to clear up any kind of mistrust issues , Recently few of the US engineers who were working for the company was questioned by the FBI on this topic . But long story short , nothing came up . " As a private company, Kaspersky Lab has no ties to any government, and the company has never helped, nor will help, any government in the world with its cyberespionage efforts - KS Labs representative " I think it's a pretty decent move from the company , Lots of free AV solutions out there that offer free solutions , but with this amount of reliable detection & protection offered as free is a pretty good deal , hope they don't do forced registration to run a free version. What are your thoughts on this? POst your thoughts & comments down beloooooooooooooooow Source: https://eugene.kaspersky.com/2017/07/25/kl-av-for-free-secure-the-whole-world-will-be/ Free Version Link : https://www.kaspersky.com/free-antivirus

Alright. We all know that website. *Beeping noises* "YOUR WINDOWS MACHINE HAS A VIRUS AND IF YOU DO NOT REMOVE IT WITHIN 3 DAYS YOUR PC WILL STOP WORKING AND YOU WILL LOSE ALL OF YOUR FILES. CALL WINDOWS SUPPORT NOW AT ***-***-**** TO REMOVE THIS VIRUS BEFORE ITS TOO LATE" I seen some YouTube videos of people trolling "Microsoft Support", and I want to do the same on a VM. I have definitely seen these websites before, but I can't remember how to get to them. I tried searching "Adobe reader download" on Yahoo and only found PDF viewer junkware. So does anybody know any of the scam sites involving phone numbers? And if so, can you please link them/tell me how to get to them? Thanks! P.S. Other malware sites are welcome as well.

Trying to decide which anti virus to go with, any recommendations? I usually stick to Malwarebytes free but plan to buy something that will help with protecting myself.

I have had a call from a customer explaining that one of their servers has ransomware on it. It apparently printed out a sheet of paper with the words "What Happened?". I haven't heard of this before and neither has my adviser. All help is greatly appreciated.

I've tried the offline windows defender as well This keeps on annoying me every 2 minutes Clicking on remove doesnt do shit since it just keeps on popping back

I got a virus, so I ran malwarebytes anti malware 3.0 and found this: HackTool.Patcher, C:\USERS\THOMA\APPDATA\LOCAL\TEMP\DUP2PATCHER.DLL, No Action By User, [2327], [124195],1.0.837 PUP.Optional.FusionCore, C:\USERS\THOMA\APPDATA\LOCAL\TEMP\IS-8BDMV.TMP\FUSION.DLL, No Action By User, [1468], [344794],1.0.837 Quarantined them , restarted, scanned again, found 1 thing, Repeated process another 2 times until the scan came up clean. Also ran windows defender once which found 1 thing and removed it. However, my free space on my C drive has gone down from almost 100GB to 58.4GB. The computer is much slower than usual, there is a delay when opening most programs such as task manager, explorer.exe and steam refuses to open at all. I have tried defragging my hard drive and trimming the SSD. I have ran disk cleanup on the SSD and hard drive. The SSD is not failing at all. I have tried restarting the computer. I have ran sfc /scannow in command prompt and found no problems. I have looked for dodgy programs on my PC and found none. I have cleared all browser cache files. What could be the cause of the slowdown? Windows 10 Home 64-bit i7-4790 Asus Turbo GTX 970 240GB Sandisk Ultra 2 SSD Seagate 3TB ST3000DM001 500W PSU MS 7826 Motherboard 1.txt 2.txt

I recently got a virus, i've removed it and its still come back again. I'm looking to go back to a restore point, but the only thing there is "Turn off Your PC." I'm not sure what to do. I am the administrator, and the only user. Some programs also fail to create restore points, I don't know why. Please help. Thank you.
