Just cleaning up my emails this morning, and I came across this email from Razer. This product is in the early phase of beta testing, Razer Hypersense Suit. Summary Razer is looking for beta testers for the Hypersense Suit. Quotes My thoughts Anything gaming related is exciting, however where do we put metaverse if it's not really a game, more so a virtual utopia. Imagine the evolution of VR gaming with this type of technology, and yes, similar to Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. It sure is exciting to think about but where are we in this evolution phase? Would it be targeted for consoles/PC gamers or both? Hello everyone, I have been an iPhone user for years but I am considering switching to android to change things up. I have recently noticed that no Samsung phone I can find has a native visual voicemail built into the phone app with a transcription like my iPhone. I would seriously consider switching if I could have that. Am I just not seeing something? I'm not in the least bit interested in a janky 3rd party app.

Today “SauceNao”, a popular reverse image search engine to find the name of an anime or manga from a single panel, called out Canadian child services. The Twitter account tweeted that it caught Canadian child protect on multiple occasions uploading pedophilia material on its services to search for it. The service has disabled cached static content but since CCP is using a bot to upload those images as temp material to be looked for and finding those images on the database of the service itself. The bot the CCP is using seems to be based on AWS, which would mean these pedophile materials are on Amazon’s servers as well, even if only cached. This could be a dangerous play for AWS as holding any pedophilia material is illegal in almost every country. The CCP has not yet responded to either emails or Twitter. Summary Canadian child services using reverse images websites to find pedophilia content by uploading the materials itself on to other servers. Quotes My thoughts Deleting this because the forum members rather focus on my own take than the issue being that the Canadian Child Protect has been caught spreading pedophilia material using a poorly coded bot.. I'll try to keep this simple and short: I was just watching this Byte Size Tech video, because I am sometimes interested in this channels point of view on all things tech and thought to myself: what do people around the world consider to be a large about of money? If you think about it, even though the internet is essentially yesterdays news, as it has now become a part of everyday life for most people, I still sometimes find it absolutely mesmerising how interconnected the majority of the world is nowadays, yet how it differs so much.. I think that in the world of technology the true value of money is quickly forgotten. We often forget how privileged some of us may be and how hard others have to work.. While I agree that you are who you are and that you live where you live, I still believe it's sometimes important to put yourself in someone else's shoes. Maybe this discussion could serve as a safe and neutral space for people to try and understand other people, which is important in the world of tech and especially in regards to this forum (recommendations, prices of tech, etc.)

What is your opinion about optic VS electronic technology? Here's a snip from "Nature" e-paper about optic technology in computers related to AI: https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-020-03572-y#ref-CR7 "Electrons are the carriers of information in electronic computing, but photons have long been considered an alternative option. Because the spectrum of light covers a wide range of wavelengths, photons of many different wavelengths can be multiplexed (transmitted in parallel) and modulated (altered in such a way that they can carry information) simultaneously without the optical signals interfering with each other. This propagation of information at the speed of light results in minimal time delays. Moreover, passive transmission (in which no input power is required) aids ultralow power consumption7, and phase modulation (whereby the quantum-mechanical phases of light waves are varied) enables light to be easily modulated and detected at frequencies greater than 40 gigahertz. In the past few decades, great success has been attained in optical-fibre communication. However, it remains challenging to use photons for computing, especially at a scale and performance level comparable to those of state-of-the-art electronic processors. This difficulty arises from a lack of suitable parallel-computing mechanisms, materials that permit high-speed nonlinear (complex) responses of artificial neurons and scalable photonic devices for integration into computing hardware. Fortunately, developments over the past few years in devices called optical frequency combs9 brought new opportunities for integrated photonic processors. Optical frequency combs are sets of light sources with emission spectra that consist of thousands or millions of sharp spectral lines that are uniformly and closely spaced in frequency. These devices have achieved substantial success in various fields, such as spectroscopy, optical-clock metrology and telecommunication, and were recognized with the 2005 Nobel Prize in Physics. Optical frequency combs can be integrated into a computer and used as power-efficient energy sources for optical computing. This system is well suited for data parallelization by wavelength multiplexing. Xu and colleagues used such a set-up to produce a versatile integrated photonic processor. This device performs a type of matrix–vector multiplication known as a convolution for image-processing applications. The authors implemented an ingenious method to carry out the convolution. They first used chromatic dispersion — whereby the speed of transmitted light depends on its wavelength — to produce different time delays for wavelength-multiplexed optical signals. They then combined these signals along the dimension associated with the wavelength of the light."

Whenever I try to boot up rainbow 6, it only shows up on my other display. Since I am on a gaming laptop with a good internal display, I want to play on this one. Even if I window it and move it over then full-screen it. It just goes back to the other screen. Or if I do windows + shift(or control cant remember rn) + left/right, nothing happens. I see that the display adpters say that internal screen is using the integrated intel graphics and my second monitor is using my rtz 2070 but I can't figure out how to change it. I have no updates for drivers, windows, games, or even game launchers. Help please!!!

So I was wondering, which fan combo is better for airflow/dust build up. Is having a intake on the front and a outake on the back of your pc better than having a outake on the front and intake on the back?. [20-12-2019_22_41.] Edit: And I noticed that my case has a intake on the front and a outake on the back. I thought It was the otherway around at first. [21-12-2019_00_45.] Edit 2: Apologies I got them mixed up, I got a outake on the front and a intake on the back. [00_49.]

The Internet code detleuths at XDA developer has found several references to the new Nvidia Shield TV hardware with the name "mdarcy".References in the Google Play Developer console seem to suggest this means there is a new and slightly refreshed version of Nvidia Shield TV, coming with the same Tegra X1 chipset, but powered by Android 9.This new information gives credence to a hardware leak in March in which the XDA developer saw the code name for the new Nvidia Shield controller and remote. It is estimated that all this information only shows a small update and refreshment of the 2017 version of Nvidia Shield TV rather than a new generation leap to Nvidia Shield 2.But there are some suggestions that the new model will include some adjustments to the chipset that allow it to support better power usage and increase the maximum GPU clock speed - which means more power behind old hardware. The addition of Android 9 will also help improve software settings and performance of the Nvidia Shield Experience software as well. Most of this is speculation at this point and we have to wait on the official news. We loved the Nvidia Shield TV technology in the past and the update will definitely be welcomed. Source: https://www.androidcentral.com/nvidia-shield-tv-new-hardware-and-android-90-pie-works

Hello there everyone, I'm not sure where to post this so I decided to start in "Off Topic" and if I'm wrong here just say so. I'm really good at troubleshooting and fixing hardware and software but that is just the basics of IT and I've seen that a lot of companies are trying to find more people that know more about managing, programming, and networking. I hate programming, I'm not that good at leadership and networking it's all right but it can sometimes be too complex for me. I am studying IT (Information Technology) at Keiser University and I'm not sure where to start once I finish my bachelor's degree. Does anyone have or had any similar experience? If so, how did you know where to start? What would normally be a good place to start? Also, what certifications should I start studying for?

NOTE: If this can be in news please move it there, if not just keep it here. SOURCE SOURCE 2 Next Wednesday, astronomers around the world will have a press conference of what might be the first ever photograph of a black hole (at least for us humans, we don’t know if aliens got to this already ). They were able achieve this by using a network of telescopes called the ‘EHT’, this is pretty cool to say the least... My thoughts of how you could get a picture of a black hole (before this story came out) was to take a photograph where the background would be lit and very active with a collection of stars and you can see where the black hole would possibly be because the view of the other stars are obviously blocked out of view. But I wonder how they managed to do this, and it would be cool to find out next Wednesday. Let us know about your opinion and how they might’ve done something like this. I really feel like in the next few years the advancement of space exploration will advance by a whole lot. I just really hope we will have the technology later on in the future to be able to travel to near by stars, or at least leave the solar system without waiting 30+ years...

Has anyone here been reading up on the systematic transfer of US high-tech jobs to Israel? Windows 10 has been co-developed by Israeli contractors and Intel CPUs are now designed and manufactured in Israel as well. I'm asking for anyone's opinion on this as it seems that US high-tech jobs are being lost as well as the fact that it poses a security risk for American corporations and the military, especially US web servers. it's not a secret that Intel has backdoors inside of it with the Intel Management System and the Minx OS. It's especially worrying when the CEO of Intel says this: "We See Ourselves as an Israeli Company as Much as a U.S. Company" I urge everyone to search up "israel secret weapon the talpiot program" and get to know how this is all happening under our noses with the media not mentioning it.

Just curious, I have recently built my Gaming PC with the Intel Core i3-8100 3.6Ghz, should I save up and build something better? Or should I get the 15-9600K, and I have a 1050Ti, not sure which pairs well, I do not want to bottleneck anything. I also have 16GB of Corsair Vengeance DDR4 2400Mhz memory. Please give me feedback! I do record tech videos on my channel, I may start gaming videos. Some games hold up fine.

Hi All, Just a newbie looking for some info. Majority of you are in some technical line or are surrounded by technology. How do you dispose / recycle any form of hardware component be it from old switches to cellphones that aren't worth the selling effort? I am interested in any organisations / departments / countries efforts and how things are done all over the world (live in South Africa) even if you just chuck it in the bin

Personally I think even the Samsung S5 is better than the IPhone X. This is mainly because the IPhone's operating system which is IOS is as tight as possible, Apple are now restricting 3rd party apps and jailbreak is definitely out of the question. I don't know why Apple want to make their phone as controlled as possible and in my opinion, the OS wouldn't suit all of my needs, infact, the OS will probably suit none of my needs. However, Android in contrast is so much better and doesn't restrict anything, infact, it may even encourage you to do what you like with the phone and customize it as much as you like, it gives you the freedom and things like widgets and always on display are much better features than anything Apple can provide. Also, Samsung hardware is much better than IPhone hardware statistic wise and appearance - and at a cheaper price. What do you think?

This will just be a small "rant" about how I get annoyed about people's concept of tech thanks to Apple. Today's topic: Chargers & Cables Remember when the question "Do you have a charger for (INSERT PHONE BRAND HERE)?" was a legit question? In the dawn of cell phones everyone run their own race; Nokia had 2 different main stream chargers, Samsung had their own, Ericsson had their own, Motorola their own and so on. So the question was valid. Luckily, those days - for the most part - are over. Standardization of using (previously) microUSB and (now) USB-C universally across all brands has made it easy to share cables, chargers and docks for various devises. Not just phones. Except for one brand - Apple. Their stubbornness to stick to a proprietary port is infamous. So thus one question still is kinda legit: "Do you have an Apple charger I can borrow?" Now here's the thing. Because of this, and how much impact Apple has on the mainstream people, Apple generates a kind of dogma for less tech-savy people (mainstream everyday people) that this concept of different chargers still exist. Many non-Apple users still think that phones from different brands have different types of charging ports because they constanly hear Apple-users asking for Apple-chargers. So many times now at work, every now and then, an e-mail pops up asking for a charger for (INSERT NON-APPLE PHONE HERE). I know it shouldn't frustrate me, but it does. It feels so backwards that people A) do not recognize that they have the same port on their new phone as they had on their last phone, B) keep thinking that because Apple has a specific charger, that also their phone has it, and C) do not learn to recognize microUSB and/or USB-C. The catalyst for making me write this rant was an e-mail that I got 10 minutes ago (as of the time of writing) where a colleague asked to borrow a charger for Samsung Galaxy S9 instead of just asking "Does anyone have a USB-C charger I can borrow?" Which is so funny, because this person switched from a Samsung Galaxy S7 (or was it even an S8? ; but that is besides the point). Why is it that Apple still holds such recognition even for non-Apple users? Why do people keep thinking everything has to work by Apple-logic even if pretty much every other brand out there tries to do stuff differently, but yet in a more common way? A bit of an off-topic similarity is how app-commercials are done; if there is a poster or even a video for a new app, what is the phone they will use as their unbranded, but yet recognizable phone? 95% of the time it is an iteration of an iPhone. E.g. when the iPhone X was released every single add for any app used the iPhone X as a template. But I digress... I'm not even sure I have any end-points for this rant. I just wanted to share my frustration about this matter. Please share similar stories or just share your frustrations about similar stuff here (must not be only against Apple).

So apparently Lenovo is making a full screen phone. I guess better than Apple and Samsung. By looking at the picture from this article, the phone looks to have virtually no border. This phone has a 91.3 screen to body ratio! The Iphone X only has 81.49 ratio. It seems like Apple has been beat again. I wonder if in the future, apple will try and figure out this technology and then produce itr and say it is a brand new concept in the SmartPhone world.
