Hello, So to get to the point, I have an Astro a40 headset with a mixamp that I bought back in 2014 for my xbox. It worked perfectly for what I wanted but now I play PC games instead. I still use my a40 headset (just without the mixamp) and have it plugged into the "mic in" and "line out" ports with a simple splitter for anyone wondering. Now I'm trying to plug in a set of speakers as well so I can listen to audio without the headset on ALL the time. I don't want to buy a splitter or switch or have to use the front panel audio so I had an idea to use the mixamp still. What I am thinking is that I can plug the optical cord for the mixamp into the optical port on the back of the mobo for the audio out (what is essential the line out plug right now) and plug in the aux mp3 cord on the mixamp into the "mic in" port to maintain better microphone quality. This would open up my "line out" port and allow me to plug the speakers into it. Now I'm not sure if this will even work or if there is a better idea that I'm not thinking of right now (excluding front audio and buying something) and I would just like to get some advice on the idea. I have an ASUS Crosshair VIII Hero WIFI incase you would like to know exactly what's on the back panel. Thank you so much in advance!

Hi, I'm having trouble picking out some new desktop speakers for my new office space, and would love some recommendations. For the most part I use headphones, but would like some decent speakers for watching movies or just relaxing. When it comes to audio, I'm all fingers and thumbs. I've no idea what brands to avoid, and have limited knowledge on good brands (Bose, Logitech etc). Ideally I want something sleek and unobtrusive, without that "for gamers" design style. Budget wise I'm not looking to spend more than £100, but obviously there is a little wiggle room there. Below are some choices I've picked out so far. Bose Companion 2 Series III: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bose-Companion-Multimedia-Speaker-System/dp/B00CL83JVQ Razer Nomo: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Razer-2-0-Gaming-Speakers-Nommo/dp/B078XY5C1F Any help would be appreciated!

Recently got home my new studiomonitors to use as speakers in my den. Love the sound so far but i have two issues that are bugging me quite a bit. 1. As i use headphones daily to speak with pals on discord etc. I have to physically plug in and out cables from my pc as to switch the output. 2. I have interreference in the signal from the MB to the speakers. So I'm on the market for an external soundcard / audio interface which offers the ability to switch in-between the headphones and speakers at a button press, Which seems a lot harder to find than what i expected. Started looking at "gaming" accessories and found that the ASUS Xonar U7 MKII almost was what i was looking for, if it wasn't for the fact that the product is outdated and EOL i would have tried it. Been looking around at many different products but does anyone know of a product that would fit my criteria's, as i seem to not find what I'm looking for? (Speakers are active and my headphones are super easy to drive at 32 ohm.) Thanks in advance

I'm looking for a temporary set of desktop speakers that I'm going to use for a bit of while. I still listen to my headphones most of the time so I don't really need anything that sounds great, just something useable. If it matters, I prefer a slightly warmer sound, though its not really a priority. Right now my options are: (prices are converted to USD from my local currency), Logitech Z213 - $21 Logitech Z313 - $26 Logitech Z120 - $10 Edifier R19U - $27 Edifier M1360 - $29 Edifier R12U - $13 I haven't decided which one to get at the moment, though I'm leaning towards the cheaper ones, any advice on these are much appreciated, or if you have any other recommendations as well.

Looking for recommendations for new speakers for my PC. I've been running a fairly old 5.1 channel surround system off my motherboards built in audio for probably 8 years now. I just moved and with the move got myself a new desk that combined with the new space my setup is in, won't lend itself well to the surround system. Also, the system was cheap so I'm not attached to it. I'm a complete novice in the audio space, so I'm not really sure what I should be looking for. My thoughts are to get 2 speakers for on the desk and maybe a subwoofer under the desk. If I need a receiver/controller to connect the speakers properly to my PC for a better audio experience, I'll need recommendations for something there as well. Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi all, I've been running an ROG M15 laptop for the last couple months, and so far it's been fantastic. The only issue I've had is that BOTH speakers are blown after less than a year of moderate use. I don't want to RMA it, as I've heard nothing but horror stories about the ASUS warranty process, but I also absolutely cannot find parts for this thing anywhere. Is it too new? Does ASUS just not release any parts for it? I'm hoping someone here can point me in the right direction, I'd rather just buy some speakers and replace them myself than send it off and wait a month for ASUS to deny the warranty claim.

I have these 2 old speakers but only one of them works at a time, so basically there is a main speaker with a volume dial, power plug, and a power indicator, it has a second plug on it which I assume the second speaker plugs into. The second speaker only has one cable which is a 3.5mm jack. When I plug the second speaker into the main one it does not work but the main speaker works. When I plug the second speaker in by it's self it works. Also my laptop has an issue where you need to restart it or it won't register headphones/speakers but I don't think it is the cause.

Hey everyone, I have asked for help once here before and you were super helpful, so im back. I recently purchased a Marantz M-CR612 Network CD Receiver (2019 Model). Its my wife's birthday in a few days and I wanted to surprise her with a new radio, upgrading from my old Bang and Olufsen cd player. My issue is that the speakers I have, the Bang & Olufson Beolab 8000 (I have 2 of them), have no cable or port that seems to be compatible with my new receiver. I have attached photos of the ports and cables if those will help. Below is also a photo of the IO on the back of the Marantz. Any info on how to connect the speakers and receiver together with a cable, or even a dongle of some sort, would be incredibly welcome. Thanks guys!

I'm very torn between these two options. I can get them for basically the same price so that does not matter. I know the LP-6s are a bit bigger but that's okay. I'm getting these for casual desktop use (music, videos, movies) and maybe later to use with a tv also. Also to note, I'm going to be using an unbalanced connection. What do yo guy think is the better option? I'm kind of leaning towards the LP-6s

Hi there I was having a difficult time on a home theater setup and was wondering if someone who know better could tell me if what im doing is gonna work. So Im planning to buy and install two in wall speakers on the left and right (Those ones actually: R-5502-W II In-Wall Speaker | Klipsch ) and a speaker amp ( This one: Schiit Audio: Audio Products Designed and Built in California ) but wanted to also include subwoofers ( 2 of those: RW-5802-II In-Wall Subwoofer | Klipsch ) So I know the Ragnarok is good for the two speakers but wanted to know if I can hook up the subs on it and if yes, I would be really happy if someone could tell me how to hook them up thanks.

So I got myself some Speakers from Presonus the ERIS E3.5 recently. Windows sees my Razer Blackshark V2X as my Speakers and my Presonus Speakers don't work. I connect my Headset over the Motherboard IO, Headset is connected via Mic and Line Out, I think the speakers are supposed to be connected via Rear but I don't know if that is the case. Is there any possibility to connect my Headset and Speakers at the same time and switch between them through Windows? The Motherboard I use is the B550 Aourus Elite (rev. 1.0), Audio Outputs are Mic, Line Out, Line In, Rear , C/Sub and Toslink.

Hello guys! Recently i bought a marantz sr6200 amplifier and i am trying to hook a speakers to it. But i don't have luck. When i hook my speakers to other amplifier they work perfectly. But i tried connecting them with aux, digital cable and still cant get any sound of the amplifier i played with all the options read the manual and still can't solve it. The only thing i see is a little red speaker icon which isn't mentioned anywhere around the internet. Is it mode or option that i am missing? The amplifier is second hand so if the issue isnt in the options it may be in the hardware. Thank you!

We're renovating our basement now and adding a home theater setup. I'm doing research, but it's so much info all at once especially with the new technology, ultra short throw, HDR, Dolby Atmos, HDMI 2.1 with gaming, etc that I'm really overwhelmed. Looking to this community as I've watch many LTT videos and thought I try LTT forum first for recommendations. My main idea for the is 1. Projector (overhead or ultra short throw) 2. Projector screen. Looking to get fixed, not hearing good things about motorized. What do I need to look for specifically? 3. AV receiver, prefer 4k and low latency for gaming (not sure if that's the right term). Don't have any latest consoles, but hoping to grab myself one 4. Surround speaker Any help would be much appreciated!!

So, I'm going to be getting my own apartment for the first time next week. Not in a complex, but a flat, the first floor of a 2-family home. I haven't met the other renter yet, so they may be chill, but I don't want to assume. I want a home theater setup. I love movies, and I play a ton of games and everything. I will be getting the Hisense U8G 65" for my tv. I have a PS5. I use Google devices and will be integrating a lot of smart home products. I am very tech savvy and have no issue spending time troubleshooting and getting into the nitty gritty to figure everything out exactly right, but this is my first real foray into home theater setups The biggest things I'm looking for are a true surround sound experience, not just a soundbar and a sub. Wireless is a huge plus. I like a good clean design. Also, being able to stream my phone pretty painlessly would be great. And I would like to go for Dolby Atmos, as it's the most immersive. Also, I'm looking for a system I'll be able to have for a long time, after I have my own place and no longer need to worry about waking the neighbors. I have 3 systems in mind from what research I've done so far, though I am in no means beholden to them if a better suggestion is presented. So, without further ado, here's what I've found so far and the basic pros and cons from what I can see: Enclave CineHome PRO 5.1 HD Wireless Home Theater Surround Sound System for TV - THX Certified - Amazon.com: Enclave CineHome PRO 5.1 HD Wireless Home Theater Surround Sound System for TV - THX, 24 Bit Dolby Digital, DTS, and WiSA Certified - CineHub Bundle Edition - Plug and Play Home Theater : Electronics - $1600 Pros - Wireless through WiSA; actually separate center, front left, and front right speakers; Bluetooth 5.0; very clean Cons - Only 5.1; no autocalibration; underpowered subwoofer; no Dolby Atmos Sonos Arc with Sub and 2 One SL - Amazon.com: Sonos Arc - The Premium Smart soundbar for TV, Movies, Music, Gaming, and More - Black with (Gen 3) - The Wireless subwoofer for deep bass - Black and SL - Microphone-Free Smart Speaker – Black x2 : Electronics - $1900 Pros - Wireless over Wifi; Google Assistant built in; also very clean; Sub has anti-vibrations and anti-distortion features; Dolby Atmos; Can purchase components piecemeal; autocalibration; Bluetooth Cons - Soundbar format for front 3 and ceiling channels; most expensive overall Nakamichi Shockwave Ultra 9.2.4 - Amazon.com: Nakamichi Shockwafe Ultra 9.2.4 Channel 1000W Dolby Atmos Soundbar with Dual 10" Subwoofers (Wireless) & 4 Rear Surround Effects Speakers. Enjoy Plug and Play Explosive Bass & High End Cinema Surround : Electronics - $1400 Pros - Semi-wireless (Nothing has to connect back to the soundbar); 4 satellite speakers and 2 subwoofers; Dolby Atmos; best value; Bluetooth; Night mode with subdued bass Cons - Unique design; still need wires to connect satellite speakers to subwoofers

A friend of mine who is preparing a small business store asked me for an advice, and I'm asking you, the community, for help.In short, He wants 8 speakers which are easy to use and permanently connected to power. He is planning to use them mostly for ambient soundscapes (nature and birds.) His budget is $800 US. Also, he wants the option to add more in the future. What do you you recommend. I'd really appreciate if you could help.

Hello, so for some reason, my rear aux outputs on my pc quit working today after I opened up my pc and upgraded a hard drive. The front aux HD audio port works, but none of the aux jacks on the back are working now. Windows knows that I have the device selected, but no sound is coming out. So, what should I do to fix this?

Hello I'm thinking of picking up this complete set up for a home theater setup (https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B01FWRZR94?tag=camelcasearches-20&linkCode=ogi&th=1&language=en_CA) I can save a bit of money buying the package then buying them separately. Each speaker seems to be rated for 100-145watts max. And I've been looking around for some receivers, I know some people recommend going with a system were I get a pre-amp, amp, etc. But I'd rather just 1 box that can do it all. I found this one on amazon and took a look at some reviews, I love all the features and would be happy paying the price for it, (Granted I would get it probably on sale) (https://www.amazon.ca/Sony-STRDH790-Multi-Channel-Bluetooth-Component/dp/B079YW5VQL/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=STR-DH790&qid=1619405813&sr=8-2) A lot of reviews said it would run at 90 watts continuous, with 145watts peak. That sounds great, I'm sure the speakers would sound great at 90 watts continuous, probably loud?? (I'm new to this and not sure if that is really loud or just normal listening volume) MY MAIN QUESTION: The reviews also said that the receiver will do 90 watts, 2 channel driven. Well, that means my other speakers, center, rear, and top. Would not be getting enough power, right? The subwoofer is powered, so I Wouldn't have to worry about that, but wouldn't only 2 channels driven at 90 watts cause my other speakers to be very low in volume? I plan to also enable Dolby Atmos if that helps any! Thank you so much for any of all information!

Hey guys. I'v notices that when i play more intensive games I hear a low hum from my speakers. Now I'v tried switching the port to my front connection and it usually goes away, so I'm guessing it's some kind of interference. Is that something i should worry about or is it just the quality of audio shielding on my Mo-Bo? Thanks in advance

So I recently bought the presonus eris e3.5 and the focusrite scarlett 2i2. But since the speakers lack sub , I decided to use my old creative A255 sub woofer which is really good. But when I connected the focusrite into the lap, the audio output from my lap wont function. I tried changing the output from system sound settings, but still it did not work. Using Asio4all in my daw and turning on both outputs from the control panel also did not work as the sound only came from the interface. Also the creative A255 sub takes info from the right speakers and then sents to the left. So is there anyway to get output from both outlets(lap audio output and from the 2i2) or is there a way to connect my sub without all these work. Also is there a possibility of creating a virtual environment and splitting the audio outputs such that I can use both my interface and laptop audio output jack? Any help is appreciated and thank you. Images : A255 sub back Creative speaker main connections Presonus eris e3.5 left speaker back Interface back

Hello there guys, I'm new here and my 1st question as a member is, if anyone could give me an idea on how to connect my speakers (genius sw-hf 5.1 4800) to my TV and still experience 5.1 sound and not stereo. PS: Sub has 3 output cables and all of them are 3.5mm, so I guess I need something that connects 3x3.5mm to (??) what

I recently upgraded my WFH setup with a new desk and monitors. To complete my setup I would really like some speakers that allow me some rest from wearing headphones (DT 770 Pro) all day. To power my headphones and microphone I have a Behringer UMC22, so after searching for some cheap USB + 3.5mm speakers like these or these but thought why not see if there's something I could power with the L+R outputs at the back of my UMC22. Thing is, I'm a noob at this stuff and not sure what I even need to search to have an idea of what I need, hence why I'm here. What speakers under $50 would you recommend for casual background listening to pair with my UMC22? Thanks for your time
