I have an LG smart TV (UQ7570PUJ) running Web OS v7.4.0-1903. I decided to turn on the reduced blue light mode by going to settings>all settings>picture>advanced>reduced blue light. It worked, but now I cannot turn it off. Going to that same menu, the option is grayed out as shown in the attachment. Selecting it does nothing. I have tried resetting my picture settings in that same menu with no change. I tried switching picture modes and the reduced blue light mode stays on and I still cannot turn it off. Has anyone seen anything like this? I'm sure I can do a full reset to get it back to normal, but that's annoying and means I can't practically use the reduced blue light mode in the future. TIA

I have a junky smart TV I got for free, Im not really sure what OS its running, I don't think it's Android but it has YouTube and a basic ass web browser. It's a Sharp Aquos. I want to use this TV to view my Tapo camera that I have setup at the door, so that I don't have to open the app every time. Plus, it's helpful for family members in the house , who aren't tech savvy, can still easily see who's at the door without opening it. but the issue as Ive found is that RTSP streams cant be directly views in the browser. I know VLC can play it but I don't think the TV can download applications? Is it possible to repackage the RTSP stream or convert it into a different format such that it can be viewed in-browser or maybe somehow setup a privat-ed stream on YouTube which can then be viewed on the TV? any help is greatly appreciated

The issue I'm facing is large, very annoying cutouts of audio while watching content that is played by my desktop that is hooked to my LG 55" (55UQ8000). The audio cutout last for upwards of 3-5 seconds and occur every 4-5 minutes. My main output is the HDMI cable from my 6700xt AMD GPU in my desktop to my TV, which then has an optical audio cable that goes from the TV to a 7.1 surround sound bar. Thinking that the issue was a substandard HDMI cable, I switched out the one that came with the TV for one that is certified for 8k@60htz (IVANKY brand) and issue still persists. It should be worth noting that nothing played natively on the TV has this same issue (so the netflix app for example). It also does not matter at what refresh rate, video resolution, or if HDR is on/off that I send to the TV from my desktop, the audio issue still occurs when the audio is also sent. However, if I do send video the TV, but use windows to route audio to the 5.1 receiver (via a soundcard in my PC with an optical cable) I use for when I'm only using my desktop, I get no such audio cut outs on that. The issue only stems when I put audio + video to my TV. Currently I have it using 4k@23.976hz with audio. (The low refresh rate is fine for me as I primarily use it from watching anime.) Would an HDMI cable certified for 8k60htz really struggle with the bandwidth this much to play 4k with audio? My main question is, what do I try now to resolve the issue? Should I swap out the HDMI cable again? The optical cable from the TV to the soundbar? Or is this a case of the LG tv's processor simply not being able to handle audio + video from an external source? Maybe some kind of AMD/Windows/LG setting that can correct this? Thanks to any who answer.

Hello, I need a budget, non-rechargeable, preferably ergonomic mouse for office work and one with broad compatibility so I can connect it to tablet and/or smart TV and easily move between devices or take it on the go somewhere. Does mouse with radio frequency 2.5GHz and mouse with Bluetooth connection make difference for above purposes besides needing USB port for RF mouse and not needing for Bluetooth mouse? Any "palm-grip" mouse you can recommend from known brand and a mouse from least known brand? Doesn't have to be "palm grip" because "finger-grip" is good too. I even thought about buying from chinese website but their longevity sucks. Thanks

Triple monitor black screen issues caused by smart TV
MayonakaKuro posted a topic in Troubleshooting
I have a triple monitor setup including: BenQ BL3200 - display port (main display) Acer SB220Q - display port to HDMI cable Sony X900 55" smart TV - HDMI 2.1 The main issue I have is unless the Sony TV is kept turned on, the two other monitors will black screen. If I completely disconnect the smart TV, both monitors work perfectly. I recently upgraded to a RTX3080 from a GTX1080 and that's when the issue started. Win10 Pro i7-7700K Maximins Hero IX G-Skill 32GB DDR3000 RTX3080 Corsair 850W All drivers up to date. -
It is an lg 55UB820V. The TV is around 6 years old and it has started getting slowly a couple of months ago. It struggles with switching channels (didn’t happen before) and often crashes and switches off or freezes if you change too many at once. Any way to fix it? And what parts should be replaced? Thanks!

Is it possible to video call or use Skype on tv with webcam ?

So we have four roku devices among my family, one stick and three tvs. We soon learned that all Roku devices sync their channels if all devices are using the same roku account. This is good most of the time, however Roku Parental restrictions are severely lacking. There are no restrictions on internet use or the channel store, and no way to put a code on higher rated content. So not even creating a separate Roku account will help. So I'd like to ask how the other TVOS handle Parental restrictions.

Hi, I have a old laptop of i3 Gen 1 and Ram 3gb. I want to make my led tv smart by connecting it to the laptop directly. I want a kodi or a plex like experience, but don't want to install windows 7 or other os and run the Plex on top. (Note: I don't want a server to host the file, my tv doesn't support network access, it has only VGA and USB input) The new OS should directly boot and start like an android tv. My use case is mostly to open local movies from pendrive and occasionally use prime video either through browser or if an app is available it's fine. This is for my Parent's house, so please suggest an OS so that no tinkering is required after installation and will be easy to use for them.

Hello, I would like to ask your opinion on a certain matter. I want to connect my Desktop (running both windows 10 and ubuntu) with my smart TV. The TV is far enough that it will be preferable if it could be done wirelessly. Both my desktop and smart TV are connected to my LAN. The TV supports both miracast and screen mirroring. And now for the question. Is it possible to connect them wirelessly so that i can play games in 4K with little or none latency? (It is OK if it only works on windows). Thank you in advance.

I own a Toshiba 40L3443D. When ever I select the settings menu right inside the Internet Portal the terms and conditions page asking for confirmation. Supposedly I will select OK, nothing happens I mean no changes and then I had to go BACK and redo it again but still the same. What could be the problem? Firmware is ver. 3.6.3c I attached the screen shots too.

Panasonic viera tx 55e2 950 e (just disconnected ethernet) Logitech Harmony Elite (wifi works) Bose soundtouch 300 wireless sound bar system Bose acoustimass 300 bass module Bose virtually invisible 300 (not connected to wifi or ethernet) Ps4 standard 500gb (ethernet) Tv and sound bar is just a couple months old. Hi. I have an issue with JVC smart tv. I'm based in the UK and recently moved house the new talk talk router works fine but I have problem with the TV which for some reason requires me to set up the WiFi password each time I put the TV in standby. Once connected it works fine until powered down then the next time I switch on I have to set up the password again. I read something about duel channel hubs or assigning channels to the TV , dns, ip address etc. Does anyone know what this issue is and can you explain it as simple as possible so I can try and fix it, coz it's driving me nuts, cheers

Hey Techies! I have this crazy idea in my head for a while... make my own DIY TV from scratch. The thing is, I have not the kind of technical background to know what to use for this on the OS and parts side. Therefore I call your help to guide me a bit through this exploring stage I'm in right now. I really hope someone has experience is something like this or got some tips. Greetings from Belgium! Stijn

I want to start using a VPN. My computers/phone will be covered, but I also have a Samsung Smart TV and a Google Home. For those, I know I could flash my router and add a vpn, but (a) I'd rather not mess with my router and (b) I'm moving soon to an apartment building that has a business line for the building and wifi for the tenants, there's no router for me to adjust. my question, would using a vpn on my computer/phone and then not on my smart tv/google home defeat the purpose of a vpn? my current public ip would still go out w/ the other two devices.

So I'm having an issue, my friend's Samsung Galaxy S7 seems to be able to detect and cast to my Hisense 55H7B TV. With my Google Pixel XL (1st Gen) I keep trying to find the Hisense to cast to but it only comes up with the Samsung TV in another room. So I've tried the basic resetting the router and reset both TV's to default. I've tried this multiple times and I never can find the Hisense TV. Does anyone have any ideas to go from here.

I'm looking to get a new TV, and I know a few of the things that I want in it, but I'm not sure exactly where to start looking or what brands to look for, etc. Here are the things I know I want: Smart TV I want to be able to use Hulu as my TV provider without an external box Being able to use netflix or other apps would be very nice too Probably 4k $400 target I don't know the market very well, so maybe $300 is reasonable, maybe it's more like $500, but $400 is my naive target right now What brands should I specifically look at? What models? Should I go to costco and shop or just check out Amazon? I really don't know much here, so any help would be great

Hi, I want to buy a new TV, but I'm not sure which one should I choose. So I need These specs for sure: 4k screen lan port (possibly Gigabit for 4k youtube videos) Enough cpu power to display 4k -> Well this is my main problem. I have a NAS on my network which has an NFS share on it. When I tried TCL 6046 TV with this configuration and well.... It just can NOT play 4k videos from NFS share. I only have 700-710 U.S. dollars for it. (I'm from another country with other currency. So it's a converted value.) Please help me, I'm getting confused from the manufacturer's promises. Thank you so much. Sorry if my English is bad.
