Hi Guys, I tried to install a custom rom to my HTC One s and now I have no OS and no Recovery. I just need a simple OS installed preferably to stock. But the thing is I have no idea how to find/run a rom in order to put an OS back onto the phone. When I boot the phone on by holding the power and volume down the screen says: tampered unlocked VLE PVT SHIP S-ON RL HBOOT - 2.15.0000 RADIO-1.13.50.05.31 OPENDSP-V31.1.0.45.0815 EMMC-BOOT DEC 14 2012 HBOOT FASTBOOT RECOVERY FACTORY RESET CLEAR STORAGE SIMLOCK IMAGE CRC SHOW BARCODE: And if i go into fastboot it says Bootloader reboot reboot boot loader power down myboot loader is clockwork mod recovery v6.0.4.8 and there is literally nothing on this phone. If anyone can help you will be a God. Thanks!!

Hi! So, I've come into possession of a HTC One X+ I wanted to install ar ROM on it because the Android version on it was old. Unlocked the bootloader, rooted , did everything. Flashed CM12.1 onto it. At first, everything seemed good, but the phone stayed in the CM booting animation with the head and the pulsating thing. I also forgot to make a backup of the original build, but I might need to have a usable phone, in case something happens to my main phone. Anyone have experience? I'd really like to have Android Lollipop, but a older version or a different ROM that works should be fine. Please help. I made a thread on XDA, but it only got views and no answers . Thanks in advance.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 i9507 (LTE-A Australia/Hong Kong variant), and for a while I've been running it on CM12/13. The only thing is that there is no specific ROM for the i9507, and when I run the phone on the jfltexx ROM (International, Qualcomm variants) In settings it claims my phone is an i9505. The main difference between the i9505 and i9507 is the LTE Bands. The i9507 was released later and has a wider range of bands, But since CM believes I have an i9505, my question is this: Am I getting all the bands of the i9507, or does the ROM or kernel dictate what bands the phone uses.

Hello! I have this tablet for about 1 year now and I decided to root it. Why not? The problem is that after I rooted this device I installed a custom loading screen for when the tablet turns on and it started bootlooping. The factory reset doesn't work and I didn't find any rom/firmware that I could install. I don't have any custom "bios" (or however you call that on a tablet). Here is the website where you can find the specs: here The only fix I can think of is installing a rom, but I couldn't find any for this device. (I searched but only phone surveys poped up). Many Thanks!

The rom I'm currently running is 5.0.2, and while there are versions of cynagenomd 13 that will run on my phone, I prefer the sense UI, over stock android, so I have been looking for a rom that has both android 6.0 (mainly for the battery life updates), and the sense UI. I have not had any luck so far, as all of the sense roms I know of for my phone are still on android 5.0.2, and since HTC stopped development on the m7, there is no luck there either. Do any of you know of sense based roms that are on the latest version of android? considering a lollipop version of sense came out pretty quick for the m7, but the same can't be said for android 6.0

So, I'm looking to build a new pc. I mostly do android rom development(source building). I want to know how much a hyperhtreaded i7 can impact build time than an i5. Also, if ssd will be a huge impact or not. Looking to buy either an i7 6700k or i5 6600k. Thanks

So I decided I'm getting the LG G3 (model D852) due to Koodo Mobile's price drop to $360 CAD. However, I heard there are issues with Android 5.0 and I heard that 5.1.1 fixes most of them. My question is, should I stick with LG Optimus UI (based on 5.0 or 5.0.2) or install CM 12.1 Nightly (based on 5.1.1)? I've never installed a custom ROM before but I can follow step-by-step instructions really well and I've also done other stuff such as modding (Xbox 360, iOS/jailbreaking, and PC modding). Any advice would help as I'm planning on getting it by the end of this week or month.

Hello, I need some assistance. Yesterday, I flashed CM 12.1 on my Google Nexus 5. It works like a charm, however there is this one app "mSecure" that won't install no matter what. I got this fairly expensive app from the Amazon App Shop for free and used it without any problems before I flashed Cyanogenmod. Previously I used Paranoid Android with Android 5.0.1, now I'm using 5.1.1 What can I do to fix this problem? I have the data backed up by the way, but I forgot to use TitaniumBackup to save the apk. Side note: every other App works just fine, even from the Amazon Shop Thanks Screencap in German:

To clarify, this is a ROM that will be released alongside CM12s. They will both be available with CM12s arriving as an ota update(I assume) to current CM11s users. This ROM will serve as an alternative for people who do not like the cyanogenmod experience or because CM12s is not available in the region(ie India) So Oneplus have released more details about their upcoming rom. Looks like they managed to gather together an impressive (albeit very young) team. Including two of the co-founders at Paranoid android as well as their design lead. Not to mention a former microsoft engineer and 50+ more developers. I have a good feeling about this one. Hi, So I'm getting the G3 tomorrow and I wish to be prepared to root and install a custom rom (really thinking about cyanogenmod). I am getting the sprint US version (LS990). I am new to the whole smartphone game so any help is very appreciated. First, how should I go about rooting it. And second what is the deal with cyanogenmod 12 and is our supported for my phone and how do I install it and what is it and stuff. Plus what are some recommended apps, recommended roms, keyboards, cool 1440p backgrounds, camera apps(that support raw), and other things that you think I should get or need. Thanks do much for all help. (Also I already read the how to root and rom plus faqs but it wasn't so specific or helpful for me)

Hey, I was wondering, if you could recommend some good looking ROMs for the HTC One M7. I currently run Android 4.4 and the update to 5.0 is nowhere to be seen and am getting pretty tired of it So, post your suggestions and pros/cons of said ROMs... Thanks, cheers

HI, I love Lollipop on my OPO but I hate the battery life I get. So I wanted to flash back CM 11s and wait for CM 12s to be released officially. SO I want to flash the ROM from this place:https://cyngn.com/products/oneplusone/ annd 1. I don't know which one to download and 2. Do I just flash it using TWRP like a normal ROM?

So after breaking my third iPhone, I am stuck with a Motorola Droid 4 and it is slow as sh*t. And after finding out about roms and looking into it, I am came to ask- Is it worth the time to install CyanogenMod on my Droid 4, and if so, will it giving more any performance gain (or loss). (This by that way is the guide I will follow if I do install it) http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_maserati

Okay, so about 6 months? ago, I had my laptop cleaned and formatted by someone else. Back then I was running on a windows 8.1 64bit installed by me and it was working fine. However after I got it cleaned and formatted by this laptop cleaning service company, my laptop started to crash and freeze every time I try to run games. It's become more frequent over past 3 months and now I can't run any games accept some (such as DotA 2). At first I thought it was the problem with my RAM so I got it replaced with a brand new one from corsair and hoped it would fix my problem. However, it still didn't fix the problem and so I was thinking of formatting everything once again. Then that's when I discovered that my laptop was running on a pirated version of windows 8 pro 64bit. I have no idea where my original windows is gone and I can't even seem to start BIOS so I tried updating it today and then I got this error message "Current bios can not recognize the ROM type". IDK what's going on with my laptop and I need help guys. Because I'm running on a pirated windows 8 pro, I couldn't even update to 8.1... I want to know any fix for the frequent freezing and crash while running games and a method to updating my bios and windows.. (I can't even start bios for some reason even when I hit f1~12 on startup..) I am very tired of force closing my laptop every time it crashes and freezes when I try to start games....

Source:https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/rom-official-5-0-android-lollipop-alpha.223252/ As someone that got the Oneplus One this Christmas, I'm excited to know I can soon step away from cyanogen. I know Linus doesn't like Oneplus as a company much, but I think they've redeemed themselves as of lately. Feel free to try out the lollipop ROM. However, it is an alpha and bugs are expected. Note: Editing once I hop on the desktop

I have an inquiry about custom ROMs that goes as such: If I were to install a ROM, would it be feasible to reinstall the ROM that the OEM installed completely as if I never uninstalled it. This is not for warranty, as I already voided that by fixing my previously water damaged Xperia Z2 manually. I want to install and try out a CM12 nightly but I also want to potentially go back to the Sony ROM in future when they finally go to lollipop or if I find CM12 unsuitable for daily usage. I did not do anything yet, but if going back is possible, I will probably install the ROM after spending a good hour or two looking up and reading/watching tutorials on how to do it. (This is a repost of a comment that I made on the pinned official custom ROM discussion thread.)

So ive been really lazy and havent taken any action even though lollipop is available for my phone (sprint lg g3 (ls990)) but since im rooted I cant take the OTA (i think.). So I'm relatively new to the android game and to my knowledge I have to flash the OTA. I have TWRP recovery installed so thats not a problem, and I'm fully rooted. I was looking around and I think I found what I need. I think I just download this zip and flash it with TWRP and reboot and bam I'm on lollipop but I want to make sure that I'm not going to screw something up and brick the hell out of my phone. As of now I'm on 4.4.2 on the ZV4. Here is the link to the .zip ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-lg-g3/development/stockzv8lodexed-t3030795 Can I flash straight into this ZV8 lollipop or do I have to go to zv6 first? It mentions something about the modem not being backwards compatible...? This will keep root for me? I will lose my stuff right? TL;DR: rooted ls990 with zv4 - can i flash the zip on the link above with twrp?

Hello! I've posted several posts on XDA forums with absolutely no response. Maybe my wording is complicated so please bear with me. I currently have an LG G3 from carrier US Cellular. Running it's stock ROM, Android 4.4, basically brand new. I want to install CM12 and would like to know if I even can. I understand the model number is different and I have absolutely no idea what that means to tell you the truth. I'm not a phone expert, somewhat new to Android, and definitely new to rooting and installing ROMs. I absolutely hate LG's skin and it's ruining the experience of having this beautiful phone. A TL;DR if needed Phone: LG G3 Carrier: US Cellular (US990) Can I install CM12? I appreciate ANY feedback/help.

Hi, so I've been trying to but have failed miserably at trying to flash my Verizon Galaxy S3 with CyanogenMod, so I could really use some help from a kind and experienced custom rom flasher. Here's the official instructions: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_d2vzw Here's the site of the rom: https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=d2vzw I fail at flashing an alternate bootloader. My phone is rooted, and running android 4.4.2. Please let me know if you can help or need more info! Thanks in advance!

This is a follow-up to a previous post I made asking suggestions for ROMs for my old Note 2. The most popular ROMs were Cyanogenmod and Paranoid Android and since I'm not completely familiar with what they offer on top of stock android I decided to make this post. Firstly - I'm not trying to start a ROM war on which one is "better" or anything. My main questions are: What features do the ROM you use offer that you make use of regularly? How stable is the experience? As the Note 2 is a legacy device, how promptly do they (legacy devices) get updates? PA is sorta appealing to me more at the moment since from what I've read they try to stick to the stock android theme which appeals to me but on the previous thread someone said doing stuff on it was comparatively more complicated than CM which makes me hesitate. Oh and if someone could link me to a good beginner's guide to installing either of these ROMs it'd be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

So recently I restored my old Note II to factory settings and my god was it a performance boost. People go on about how TouchWiz slows down the phone and that may be true but the launcher was completely unaffected - so damn smooth. Well anyway, I decided I didn't care if I bricked the thing while trying to load a custom ROM since my main driver atm is a MotoG so that's why I'm here looking for ROM suggestions. I'm looking essentially for these features: Near stock android like performance The developer is prompt about updating to the latest version of android Following from this I'd like for updates to be done over-the-air (I don't know if this is the norm or not when it comes to custom ROMs) rather than having to flash the latest version myself Only additional feature I'm interested in (beyond stock) is being able to customize the UI more freely Since the phone is a Note 2 I'd like to be able to use the S Pen although this is less of a priority compared to the other things So yeah. Just a reminder the phone I'm looking to flash a custom ROM on is the Note 2. CyanogenMod seems to be the most popular but I thought I'd hear some others that may interest me more. Thanks in advance.
