So I had bought a Thermaltake Tower 900 because it has these features: Has a BluRay disc Bay (5.25 inch drive bay) has glass and is closed has vertical GPU mount its so huge its very flashy BUT amazon (UPS?) has so far destroyed 2 during shipping, resulting in returns. So I think its too big for amazon (UPS?) to handle. So could anyone please help me with another flashy case that has the drive and glass and vertical GPU? I'm not gonna liquid cool with a custom loop, but I do have a 3 fan Closed loop cooler. and my gpu is a 4090 so... yeah. gonna need space but not as much as the TTT900. I've been looking for a while but really I can't find cases that look as good as the TTT900 with a disc bay. they either all look horrible, or have no glass, or are open (like the awesome looking cougar cases but sadly, dust is a huge problem for me). I currently have a Corsair Obsidian 750D, but it is too serious and the front doesn't show off very well... also it houses my old pc and I would prefer to leave it there. I unfortunately live where I can't buy pc cases unless its online and it ships to Mexico. Oh and it's super important DHL delivers, UPS sucks and Fedex is even worse. USPS will result in my package being stolen by mexican authorities at any border or customs (I speak from experience).

Budget (including currency): £1100 Country: Northern Ireland Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Battlefield 2042, PUBG First I'll post a link to my potential build: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/nczk3y . I can get the graphics card for around £300 pre owned on ebay so that will cut cost alot. I followed alot of tips but upgraded some of my own ideas. I'd be wanting to get high fps (100+), play on high settings and sometimes on 4k. I'd maybe Stream someday but it's not a priority right now. The main thing I am curious about is, is the motherboard good enough? Also would the Intel alternate of my build be better and, or cheaper?. I will be starting to buy in January when there will hopefully be sales. Also I will be buying from a few different places as it will be cheaper. Any help would be seriously appreciated. Thank you in advance.

when loading into or start playing games like GoW, Forza5, Cyberpunk, Apex. it either freezes my computer really badly or crashes the game with no error report on all games. (Runs minecraft with shaders and does everything else normally just fine) Os - Windows 11 pro 64 bit Cpu - 12600k MoBo - Asus ROG STRIX Z690-A GAMING WIFI D4 ATX LGA1700 Ram - Patriot Viper Steel 16 GB DDR4-4400 cl19 Gpu - Msi RTX 3060 Ventus 3x 12g Oc Psu - Corsair RM850x I have been having this issue for over 2 weeks after just building new pc, have tried reinstalling Gpu drivers (tried ddu too), restarting, reseating everything, monitoring clock speeds and temps (HWiNFO64,Tech power up GPU Z) , swapping out ram, lowering ram clock, checking game file integrity on steam, Gpu driver up to date (13.0.15.2756) and motherboard bios (2204) and windows is currently up do date. Also running all the games as administrator did not work. Also plugging pc into the wall and not into an extension cord. didn't work. Restarting Gpu with keyboard short cuts. I am pretty cautious of what I go on, on my web browser and am confident I don't have a virus. What I mean when it "crashes really badly" is I cannot move my mouse and everything on my pc freezes, I have tried waiting but the only thing that works is holding down the power button. when it crashes normally I usually have to wait till cursor is turned into a blue circle and close program. Either or happens, it doesn't matter what settings I have on the game they happen completely randomly. Cinebench multi core, speeds are around 16600 Msi Kombuster, Gpu temps are around 52c and crashed one time about 10 minuets in. All other times it works just fine. When looking at the crash reports in cyber punk is says Gpu crash for unknown reason. I always have Spotify, Logitech g hub, fan control v141(fancontrol.releases by rem0o on github.(installed after problems)), running in the background. it doesn't matter one bit if all of those are turned off the problems will still consist. I did have the problem with DOOM but it started working one random afternoon of changing nothing with the pc. I have been told by best buy geek squad that with all that he heard it sounds like a corrupt file. I'm going to visit geek squad tomorrow and waste a lot of money just for them to scam me, but its all that I have left to try.

I am cloning my boot HDD to a new SSD, from what I can see you have to pay to clone partitions and can only clone disk for free. Can I clone the disk and then install Windows on the SSD from a USB and then put in my product key? And then format the HDD as a back up drive. Would this cause any issues etc? Thanks

I finish my build and tried plugging it in. When I tried starting it then it stayed on for about 10 minutes, everything running then just suddenly shit off without actually booting. Now when I try to turn it on it does this, just flicks on, then off. All the fans are still running but nother else is. I've tried turning the PSU off, unplugging the cable, but nothing changes this. Please help

I got a refurbished 16TB IronWolf Pro HDD from serverpartdeals on eBay. I have noticed a lot of clunking noise and I'm worried the drive is faulty. I don't have a lot of experience with HDD sounds so I can't be sure if there is a problem. CrystalDiskInfo shows no issues. The drive is operating as my Plex server so I think its possible that the noise is just from accessing lots of different files at once. Could you listen to this and tell me if I need to return this drive? IMG_2559 Compress.mp4

So I built my computer about 3 weeks ago(specs below) and ever since I completed my build, I've had issues with black screens on boot up, I'd turn on my computer id get the boot screen for my mobo which is tuf gaming for a brief 3 seconds, my peripherals would light up my monitor responds(obviously) and then boom, black screen, my peripherals are no longer lit and nothing is responding, at that point i have to power off the pc by holding down the power button until it turns off and turning it back on again in hopes it boots to windows, it usually does the second to third time, now this isnt the only issue, I also get black screens if my computer is idle for a long time, if i leave my pc for a while and it goes to sleep, it often wont wake back up lmao, it just stops responding, I'll click my mouse and type on my keyboard and it just doesn't wake up, at that point i have to repeat the process from before, but it ain't over, I often get crashes in game after gaming for about an hour, this isnt consistent but happens occasionally, At first I thought it had something to do with my gpu and its poor drivers considering its a 5600 xt but I'm not sure thats the case because of the issues when booting up my pc, I'm beyond confused and I need some help. mobo: asus b450m pro gaming cpu: Amd ryzen 5 2600 gpu: Gigabyte 6gb gaming oc 5600 xt ram: G.Skill Ripjaws V series 16gb 2x8 ddr4 3600 psu: thermaltake smart 700 storage: kingston 225gb ssd edit: Im not sure if this has much to do with anything, but I also had a hard time setting my ram to its rated speeds in bios when I first built it, I was able to set it to 3600 speeds but when I did I'd get bsod in windows, constantly, so i had to leave it at 2600 i believe, which was default, and it stopped.

Just build my girlfriend a new PC today and surprised her with it. Everything was perfect until she restarted her PC and the computer got an error saying, "USB Over Current Protection, shutting down in 15 seconds." It happened another 2 times, then booted up normally. So far it's not happening again, but I'm scared it might happen again when she shuts the computer down and turns it on the next morning. Thoughts? Please Help! Build: MB: MSI Z390-A PRO CPU: Intel i5-9600K CPU Cooler: Scythe Mugen 5 Rev.B GPU: NVIDIA RTX 2070 Super RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 2400 2x8 PSU: Corsair CX-M 650W

yeah so basically i went to clean my pc today and i found a black spider with a red hourglass hanging out on my graphics card. it is now hanging around the cable management in the back and im petrified. i immediately closed the glass panel and im debating what to do. will heat kill the spider? how the hell did it get in there? what are my options here? so far ive turned off my fans and im benchmarking constantly to attempt to kill it with heat. Edit: I called pest control and after they removed the spider, I tore apart my pc, removed all the webs and I can confirm there are no eggs. I put it back together, closed my window (where I assume it came from) and I think we're good now. Thanks for the help y'all.

Hello all, recently i had built a budget gaming rig and the graphics card i got was a RX580- 8GB Nitr0+ Sapphire Special Edition paired with 550w Antec VP series 80 plus PSU. Under heavy load the fan spins to cool down the GPU and recently it has stopped doing that. I tried Sapphire Trixx software to test the fan health even that it didnt work. Please help!

Hi, I recently finished my new Ryzen 7 3700x build and I seem to be having a problem I cant put a pin on. Every once and awhile my computer will "lag out" sometimes crashing but most of the time when it happens it just runs very slow. The only fix to this problem is to turn off power to the power supply... Given I know this is awful for the computer I would like to find a more reasonable fix. When I restart or shut down the computer through windows It is just as slow on start up. I do not have any bloat ware or viruses on the computer (fresh windows install). Lastly while it is in this state of seemly out of memory there are no viable problems with thermals or any problems in the performance tab. The problem seems to happen at random and I am lost for ideas. Thanks guys! The build: Ryzen 7 3700x Asus prime x470 corsair lpx 16 gb 3133mhz Nvida 2070 super Sabrent rocket 1tb 128 kingston ssd (boot drive for now) 1tb seagate drive 750W power supply UPDATE: After trying all of yours guys suggestions that problem has morphed slightly. It now slows down from 15-30 seconds then the screen refreshes and it goes back to normal???? List of changes made today -Re seated CPU -New thermal paste -Re seated ram -Changed CPU fan curves to promote cooling

Hi everyone, I need your help. My problem is that none of the usb ports on my mb are getting power but they are not working. I tried everything that I can think of. First of all I cleared the cmos not working. Second I removed the battery for 5 hours and tried no luck. Third I flashed the bios with the latest version via the internet flash option of the mb because the usb ports are not working still no luck. After I plugged an external usb and card reader that I have to the mb usb headers still not working. So with no usb ports I can not boot to windows. The last thing that I want to try is to boot to windows to see if that can solve the problem ( I really doubt it) but because of the corona virus I am unable to grab a hdd already with windows to try it. I know that maybe the mb is faulty but if there is something that I can try to do please let me know. Thank you in advance. Cpu: i3 7100 MB: ASROCK H110M - DVP RAM: HYPERX 4 GB DDR4

Cedri posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Hi guys, I have been thinking about building my first pc but I don't know the exact parts I want yet. I thought maybe you guys could help me out? Thanks in advance!! PS: I live in the Netherlands and am going for a black and white themed build and my budget is around 1000 euro's. -
To get it out of the way, here are the specs of my current system: Ryzen 3600 GTX 980ti 2 by 16 GB corsair vengeance lpx ddr4 memory 2 phanteks case fans 2 corsair case fans Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black RGB 2 SATA SSDs 1 Toshiba 2 TB 7200 rpm HDD 1 wd blue 500 GB 5400 rpm HDD 2 wd velociraptor 1TB 10K rpm HDDs Corsair RM850x PSU And since I don't game very much anymore, and instead just use my 980ti for machine learning, I bought an ASUS RX580 Dual 4G card that I was hoping to use as a display adaptor to drive my monitors (I am on linux so the older amd card made sense, plus it was cheap), but when I checked my system power consumption in outervision, I got the following result: Which is, needless to say, greater than 850 watts. Now I have a buddy with an HD 7950 that he is looking to upgrade, and this RX580 fits his budget, but when I plug in the HD7950 instead of the RX580 in outervision, I get the following result: Which is below 850 watts, but outer vision still thinks I need a better power supply. considering that its somewhere around 300 dollars to get a decent 1000 watt PSU (ouch!) I just want to know if I am cutting it too close on my PSU's rating. Can I add the RX580 to my system? Can I add the 7950 instead? Can I add neither to my system? Thanks for the input

So I've recently been having some issues with my games crashing on me for no reason. And I'm at the end of my rope here, so as a last ditch effort I made an account to see if I could get some help. I normally game for hours at a time without any type of issue however ever since last week I have been having more and more crashing with my video games. And it's all the same too, no matter what the game is it'll be fine then the screen freezes but the sound continues like normal and the game is "playing" but nothing is happening. Then after about 10 seconds the game hard crashes without any error messages or anything. Normally stable games like the Witcher 3 and Dark Souls 3 are crashing all the time now. Some days i make it an hour without a crash but others I only get maybe ten minutes. I have already done a completely fresh install of Windows 10 and clean install of just the most basic drivers I can get away with. I don't have a slow computer either and it's never given me any type of issue like this before. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Specs GTX 980 ti MSI Gaming 6gb Edition running at ~1400mhz (+175mhz core and +200mhz on mem for the OC) Intel 4790k @ 4.0 ghz 16gb ram @2133mhz ASUS Z97 Impact VII Samsung 850 Pro 1tb SSD H100i V2 for the CPU 144hz 1440p gysnc dell monitor also its all in a Corsair 250D but I took the side panels off so its effectively an open air test bed Software Stuff Nvidia Drivers 378.66; not even running Geforce Experience just the drivers, no sound or surround Nvidia drivers either I let windows find the audio drivers because I heard Realtek drivers cause issues so they were the first to go Windows 10 64bit home edition with latest update as of 3/8/17 running windows defender (idk I have a virus because I was using Avast Pro before I clean installed and I was still having the same issues) minimal background applications, Steam, Logitech Gaming Suite, Skype nothing unusual Please if anyone has any advice or anything at all for me I'd literally love you for ever. This system isn't even that old and I really do not want to have to buy a new GPU or something.
