So, I've got an amazing PC, three consoles, and some spare PCIe slots. I'm looking to get a capture card to use as a passthrough, in order to play my consoles through my PC. Using a separate input on my monitor is not an option, so id like some tips. Anyone know a capture card with 2 or 3 HDMI inputs? Also, what software should I use to display the input from the capture card in both a full screen mode, and a windowed mode?

Hi guys, So this just came in on my google feed, apparently AMD had set two-thirds of it's Vega team on building console dedicated graphics cards for playstation and xbox and that they are already working on navi based "NEXT-GEN" graphics. Maybe a reason why we didn't get the expected performance from vega unlike the semi-4k graphics we got on the xbox one x and ps4 correct me if i'm wrong. And maybe also the reason why radja was so mad of not having enough resources to make something better. wan't to read more here is the article from pushqsuare: http://www.pushsquare.com/news/2018/06/report_amds_next-gen_graphics_tech_is_being_built_specifically_for_ps5 apparently the zen based info was right because of its power/performance ratio it is a perfect cpu for consoles but sources say these consoles will have a rumoured 2020 release.

Let's start this off by saying I'm not the most competent at networking or networking solutions and it may take some time to reply to this thread as I'm on vacation. So, over the last several months a few things have been happening with my ISP which is normally incredibly reliable and I suspect not hardware is my primary issue. Let's start with the primary problem, NAT, yes, hard to believe that NAT is still a thing in 2018, but alas it is. On out network we currently have 2 xbox ones (one wired, one wireless, my roomy is an idiot) an xbox one x (wired), a google home wifi (wired bridge mode), multiple items on wireless including ps4's (multiple, but not active atm) and various other devices on wifi. I understand that having multiple consoles on a single signal can cause some issues regarding network allocation type. All consoles have their DNS set to automatic and the router/modem (Hitron CGNM-2250 I believe) is still set to the ISP's default DNS settings with ALL (yes it's stupid) firewall settings set to off. Does anyone out there know if there is a way to free up my NAT? It's usually moderate with one occasionally hitting strict. Assistance is greatly appreciated. My second issue I believe comes from hardware problems. Occasionally (not often or severe enough to pay major attention to) my wired connections (some times one, some times all of them) drop.... with wifi remaining strong from the source. I don't know why, but it kind of boggles my mind as I can't see a major issuing party on this. I have 3x 25 ft cat5e wired signals going to the router/modem with the router itself being plugged in directly into an outlet with no other sources drawing from it.I was concerned it might be power draw, but I don't think so. I've also ensured all the vents and whatnot are cleared and that the router/modem is in an open air area. Once again, if someone has some knowledge in this area it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and knowledge in this matter! The strict CaNATian

You see, I'm in the middle of a predicament here. I have $1000 laying around, and i thought that i will treat myself with games. So yeah, should i pick that Xbox One X/PS4 Pro for like 1/3 the price of this laptop I'm looking at, Asus GL503VD 1060? If i should choose them console, which one and why? PS: I can pick a good 4K HDR TV with it. I'm actually leaning towards the Laptop because who doesn't know ROG? Okay its the bragging right that I'm most excited about. Don't judge me. But if i choose the Laptop I'm a wee worried about the longevity/lifespan of it. I mainly plays lighter titles like PUBG, RoS, Fortnite, and CSGO. Thats said, i would like to play some AAA games once in a while like the upcoming Far Cry 5. So yeah, a little help for my unsure and doubtful lil heart will be nice

Mid-February my Playstation 3 had the above problem. I was watching a DVD when the console beeped three times and turned off. I had no way to fix it at the time so I left it for a few weeks. I managed to find out what the blinking light meant and what the problem should've been. I used an ifixit guide as well as another guide that I paid for to take apart the PS3 to replace the thermal paste as well as to clean out the console. At this point, I am out of things to try I have no more solutions the thermal paste is Arctic Silver 5 and was properly spread according to the guide. The PS3 still turns on but it is definitely inching ever closer to death every time that I turn it on to see if what I did was enough. So far it hasn't and short of buying a heat gun and going full out on the yellow light of death fix. Normally I would just sacrifice it and accept that it was dead and then I would just buy a PS4 Pro cause I wanted one anyway, however, this PS3 is the first console I ever bought with my own money and it has my 140-hour unfinished Persona 5 playthrough on it and I really just don't want to give up on the old thing just yet.

I just got my Mcable Gaming Edition but I'm having trouble with it and my PS3, sometimes it works sometimes the image doesn't show but there is audio, it also happens when changing resolutions, booting a game or returning back to the XMB, the Mcable works fine with my Switch, at first I thought it was because I was running my Mcable into my Framemeister but it sitll happens only with my PS3

https://techcrunch.com/2018/02/07/ps4-update-lets-parents-control-how-long-their-kid-can-play/ So according to the article: So I'm curious how this will work. Some single player games still use safe points so will this notification be in time to reach a safe point? Especially if you don't know where the next one is and you maybe are stuck behind a puzzle or something. On the other hand in online play you also might not know how long the game will last, and if you are playing in a team this could harm the team if you are disconnected. I'm curious what other people think about it. Also I'm kind of interested how long it will take before someone finds a work around like setting the internal clock to another timezone or something like that. And as a last point I kind of wonder why a parent would ever use this function. If you as a parent don't have enough authority over your kid to make sure it doesn't play "to much" then I think you're doing something wrong and this probably wont solve your problem anyways. I would love to hear @LinusTech his opinion on this matter and if he would ever use it for his childeren, as he has stated multiple times already he thinks gaming etc are very usefull things for childeren to learn skills.

Basically, what I am trying to do is find a way to play the "Futurama" video game for PS2 without wasting ridiculous amounts of money for one of the original disks which are actually quite rare. There seems to be only one good emulator available, but it only supports physical disks which I do not have access to. I do have a PS2 which I can get the metadata from or whatever it's called, but I was wondering if there are any other emulators that can play a rom file or if it is possible to burn a game to a disk of some sort (CD or DVD)? I am not asking for a rom which would be against the guidelines, I just wanted to know if there are other emulators or if you could burn a PS2 disk.

Is there a list anywhere where I could find cross play compatible titles? I am trying to play some new games with friends and family. I'm on PC and they own consoles. Here's what I know is available: Rocket League Minecraft Gears of War 4 Final Fantasy XIV Fortnite Street Fighter V Arcade Edition Are there any other games, paid or f2p that are cross play?

With Sony confirming tha they are working on the PS5 , what sort of specs should we expect assuming they will continue to work with AMD? Lets say that they are planning to release this mid to late 2019. We got Zen2+ , HBM 3 and amd finishing a brand new GPU architecture to succeed GNC. Being x86 , it would be cool if it could play PS4 games out of the box. How would you guys put this system together and what features would you want?

Hi Guys, Looking for Nintendo and Sony AV plugs I am making my own RBG cables but need a source to just get the connector itself. I was going to buy composite cable and mod them but found out they don't have all the pins on the connector.

Hey folks, i bought a brand new ps4 slim 1tb a few months ago and in the beginning it worked well and the storage also showed that the total space left is 800gb+ . In the past few weeks, i updated my ps4 and i was shocked to see today that the total space is now "409 gb"!!! Yes, the total storage, not the remaining storage. the remaining storage is now 256 gb and i am really pissed about this right now. So please tell me how to solve the issue guys! it will be very much appreciated!

Is it possible to run SteamOS on a PS3? And how to run SteamOS on a PS3?

So having recently gotten a PS4 I'm exploring my PlayStation exclusive options and have basically narrowed it down to two choices, The Nathan Drake Collection or The Last of US. They are both around the same price but one obviously gives like 3x the content but I'm wondering if it's worth it and I would like to get other peoples opinions on the games. After finishing the Collection I'd get Uncharted 4 but I just don't want to spend too much all at once. So what do you guys think? Any other games I should consider? Any help would be great, thanks.

So I got my PS4 late last night and of course I immediately wanted to get on and play, I have my 14 day free trial and everything. Problem is, I haven't been able to sign in to PSN on my PS4 since 9 pm last night and it's 5pm the next day already. Is anybody else having issues or is it just me? Am I doing something wrong? I don't think I am since it's not that hard to sign in to PSN... so far a pretty crappy experience on PS4 despite high hopes.

I have recently bought a Razer Kraken Pro v2. Sound is amazing but today I played with my friends again on the ps4 and they said the sound was awful and recorded it and showed me. It had a annoying noise over my voice are there any options or settings that might fix this?

https://www.humblebundle.com/2k-playstation-bundle These packages are redeemable on Playstation. Here's a list of countries that CAN redeem the key for the bundle. Nothing to say this time... except "DAMN YOU, 2K!!!". IF you still have a PS3 along with your PS4, grab Borderlands, XCOM, and Spec Ops: The Line. Tiers: Pay $1 or More: Pay More Than the Average ($6.23): Pay $20 or More: HINT: Benefits or proceeds of the bundles can be selected by the users towards the developers/publishers, charities of your choice, and the Humble Tip (which benefits the website). This bundle supports Covenant House.

I bought a PS4 off someone for £60 because it was full of dust and the fan was running really loud. I thought this was great, so I got it, stripped it down and cleaned all the dust from it (there was a lot), started it up and all was great. I then sat on the main menu of Call of Duty waiting for my friends when the fan ramped up really loud again. I'm very confused with the situation. It is cold to the touch, lots of cold air going in through both side vents and cold air coming out the rear. Any suggestions? It stops when application is closed so I was thinking it was a broken fan or something. I'll leave a video clip below.

I'm not sure where to put this exactly. But this is the All Controller. It's being touted as "the controller that connects to everything" and it's been a project of over 2 years now. The way I learned about this is through a YouTube user by the name of ReRez. He's a gaming youtuber who does reviews on primarily older consoles, games, and controllers. And through YouTube, he was able to get in touch with a group trying to build a custom controller that works with everything. The team brought him on and made revisions to the controller to make it a truly impressive thing. Pretty much the only reason why I'm making this topic is because I did a quick search here and no one has talked about this yet. That, and there are working models of this controller, just to show that it really exists. Now, the rest of this should be taken cautiously. It's now been taken to Kickstarter. Here is the link to the campaign. Here's the thing though, they have made sure to put in the capitol, time and effort to make sure this can be realistically done. There are at least half dozen working models that they have sent to other youtubers to review/give a first look at. I even just watched a livestream from ReRez, showing off how the controller works to set up profiles, to change the drivers to the system/mobile OS/Desktop OS that you're playing on, and even how it works on the Nintendo Switch. With all the questions that I had based off those functions, I can confidentially form an opinion at least: I'm glad someone finally did this. The Kickstarter launched August 1st as an All or nothing campaign. So if it doesn't get funded, no one loses their money. but it got funded in two days. Its initial goal was CA$ 75,000, and it's currently sitting at CA$ 190k with 32 days left. Shane (ReRez) himself is answering most of the questions being asked on the Kickstarter. Now, I have to admit that I really don't have much experience with Kickstarter, aside from the time I backed Mighty Number 9 (we all know how that went). All I can say though, is that I will be backing this myself, and I just wanted to spread the word to see what other people were thinking about it as well. Hopefully it won't end on KickFarted lol.
