Budget (including currency): ~1000 PLN/~250 USD + money for selling stuff, budget might be a bit higher if its really worth Country: Poland Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Games - CS2, Lol, Spelunky 2, Sot, Cyberpunk2077, R&C, ps3 emulation, assetto corsa, ac competizione, atomic heart, awesomenatus, wrc games F1 games, party games, Premiere pro, after effects, photoshop, some streamming Other details : I'm not in hurry so i can wait some time for a new releases, Hi, During IEM i had an opportunity to get my hand on msi claw and it got me thinking about some change. I had "old" steamdeck upgraded to 1TB, and at my familly house desktop: I9-9900k with Noctua NH-D15 2x140mm G.SKILL 32GB (2x16GB) 3000MHz CL16 Aegis ASRock Z390 TAICHI MSI GeForce RTX 2080 Ti GAMING X TRIO 11GB GDDR6 Corsair HX750i 750W 80 Plus Platinum Fractal Design Define R6C Blackout Tempered Glass Two M.2 drives (samsung 970 evo 500gb and crucial 1TB) 1TB SATA Samsung SSD some kind of icy box that i rarely use 3 noctua 120mm fans for intake and one 140mm for exhaust 1440p144hz main monitor 1080p144hz 2nd Despite its age this setup handles nicely even newer titles. I'm currently student so most of the week 5/7 days (- holidays) i spent in different city. I do have tablet (samsung tab s9+) so I DON'T NEED LAPTOP. If i have some free time i can play some games on my steam deck but it is a bit too little powerful. Playing some indie games is ok but steamdeck's 60hz screen isnt the best one, more demanding titles i have to sacrifice graphic settings, booting to windows and trying to do some editing in adobe programs also isn't perfect experience due to lack of performance. There are things that i love about steamdeck i can just plug it into tv get a few dualsence controllers and my and my friends can have gaming party on TV. Getting to the point The performance of Msi Claw posistively suprised me also the screen despite not being oled looked more than enough. My 1st thought was to sell my steamdeck add a bit of money and buy oled one but it wouldn't really change performance. My 2nd idea is to sell steamdeck, most of pc (motherboard, ram, cpu, cooling, maybe power supply... ) and buy Msi Claw (or a different handheld), GPU enclosure for my 2080Ti. Looking at benchmarks Intel® Core™ Ultra 7 processor 155H (msi claw) performs a bit better than my I9-9900k. I have some conserns about that: - how good would eGPU accualy run - would i be able to connect: mouse, keyboard, microphone (mini jack), speakers (optical port), discs (at least some of them) and probably from time to time some usb stick, or different accessories ^without affecting eGPU performance - on 1st sight msi software seems middling - I'm into Playstation button layout, steamdecks is ok, msi claw/xbox/asus rog have less comfortable one but maybe it is just something to get used to PS: my tablet has amazing screen and i found an app called superdisplay that allowes me to make it act as a display with pretty good results - full res 120hz, touchscreen works, Samsung pen's pressure sensivity works...... but it has 3 disadvantages - 1 no hdr support, works only with windows, it uses quite a lot of processing power. What do you think about my upgrade idea? Which handheld would fit my needs the best? What GPU enclosure do you recomend? ^ could i buy used one or not really? What are your experience with running handhelds+eGPU for a longer time? Maybe it is better to save some money for steamdeck upgrade and leave pc as it is for now? Any ideas how to improve my idea? If you have any questions I'm happy to answer

I just got a new CPU/MoBo/RAM/PSU and they are the intel i7 14700k - MSI Z790 Carbon WiFi - Kingston DDR5 32GBX2 and I posted before about this and one guy replied, basically I'm getting blue screens and he also said that it could be the GPU (which is the MSI Geforce GTX 980 Ti) could be causing the problem, I have my video coming from my intergrated GPU now and am afraid to put the old GPU back in because I'm afraid everything will stop working, does anyone know why I'm getting blue screens, I ran the memory tests he told me about and they all came clean.

Hello and thank you for taking the time to help me, I just built a new PC and I'm having so many issues, the system keeps blue screening and I can't run many programs due to missing dll files, I have installed all my drivers and windows updates, I have even tried going from windows 10 to windows 11 and that didn't help either (everything is installed but same problem) if anyone knows how to fix this I would much appreciate it.

Aside from that, maybe some games like Minecraft, Modern Warfare, Valorant, Fortnite… Doesn’t need to look pretty, I just want something that is gonna be future proof and last a few years without having to upgrade due to hardware limitations. Hopefully someone can recommend something. Thanks

Hi everyone! I've been encountering a strange issue with my pc, and I thought it might be because I used Wi-Fi, but now I'm using Ethernet and encounter the same issue. the problem is that downloading things is quite slow on my computer, usually around 10mbs. I have 250mb/s internet, and it shows in every other device in my house. My laptop gets great speed, my steam deck gets great speed, but my main pc doesn't. I don't think it is a processing issue because I have a 10850K, and it's probably not an HDD issue because I see the same thing on my SSD.

Okay, so this is hard to explain, but just hear me out... My PC has randomly started to feel slower/sluggish, but only doing certain tasks. Most notably, when I open Discord and Steam, these apps normally checks for updates, but this checking process seems to take way longer than what it used to be. I'm talking like from <10 seconds (if there are no updates) to >1 minute. Not a big deal, but weird. The next thing I noticed is that Steam games take a while to start updating. This is hard to explain too, but it will just be stuck on "Updating" with no progress, then fail and claim that I have no internet connection, even when my connection is perfectly fine. I've attached the screenshot showing this in Steam below, and also a Cloudflare speed test. (Yes, my Internet speeds are slow compared to some, but it should be more than fine to play/download games) I'm at a loss as to what might be causing this slow down. It's weird. So far, I've done the following troubleshooting steps: - Ensured Windows is up to date (I am on Windows 11) - Ensured GPU drivers are up to date - Scanned my PC for viruses using ESET Internet Security (all clear) - Ran ipconfig /release, ipconfig /renew and ipconfig /flushdns - Ran chkdsk with no errors - Restarted my PC multiple times - Ran CrystalDiskMark on my PC for both SSDs (all performing within spec) So, yeah, it's weird and I'm not sure how to troubleshoot this further. Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance!

Budget (including currency): hopefully below 2000$ Country: Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: storage purposes -> depending on budget anywhere between 50TB and 200TB Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I'm looking to build a PC out of common parts used only for storage. I already built my gaming PC but I don't know what parts and what specifications should I search for the new build. I have a couple of questions: 1. What motherboard should I get (what type and why)? -> how much storage can I get for that motherboard? (how many storage units and up to what size each?) 2. Should I go for SSD or HDD? What connectors? I know about SATA but nothing much about anything else. What form factor(I mean size) should they have? 3. How much should I spend on the CPU and what is recommended for such a build? 4. Should I even buy a cheap(maybe even second-hand) dedicated GPU? Or it's just not worth it? 5. I read some stuff and some people recommended just a server slice or something along the lines? Should I bother for a server build (which I know nothing about)? This build won't be used in any professional way so I don't see the need to tackle a server build since I'm not familiar with it and maybe a common parts PC would do just as fine. 6. I heard about RAID and it's many types. Should I do anything about it and if yes, which type should I use and why? 7. How much RAM should I go for? If there stuff on topic that I didn't even think about please tell me about it. Thank you!

My recent motherboard (ASUS TUF Gaming Z690-Plus DDR5) that I have changed out for a new one (MSI MAG B760 Tomahawk WIFI), since there had been a short in the rear I/O and thus fried all of the USBs and not allowing to boot. Now that I have changed my motherboard, everything became worse. Suddenly games have enourmous input-lag, sometimes taking several seconds before keys are registered, games loading longer than usual, freezing of screens and many more things. I just want to try and understand what is going wrong, since the input-lag really makes gaming unenjoyable. Here are my full specs: Intel Core i9-13900k 64GB 5200MHz (not on XMP, so on 4800MHz) DDR5 from Corsair ASUS TUF RTX 4070 Ti MSI MAG B760 Tomahawk WIFI Motherboard 850W Corsair PSU Hope someone could help!

Just curious if anyone might have experience with editing 720-1080p video. And what would be the cheapest build I could do for a smooth experience editing 720p video and maybe 1080p it just needs to be a simple build nothing fancy something to get the job done and while it doesn't need to render the final job quickly I'd like to avoid lag when scrubbing through video. That's all that's needed. Perhaps a used laptop recommendation too? Ideally looking to spend under $200. I already have 16gbs of DDR4 2400mhz ram. Dyt it'd be fine to use an office PC with like a 7th gen i5 or i7? I have the budget for better but I'm not looking for anything crazy just something that'll work.

I'm looking to potentially upgrade some parts, though, I'm not incredibly certain which I should go for so I figured I'd ask here. Also, if I'm missing anything below - please let me know! This is my first time sharing. Current specs: CPU: Intel i5-11600K - 11th Gen Mobo: ASUS TUF GAMING Z590-PLUS Fan: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO V2 Case: Zalman ATX Mid Tower PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 750 GT 80 Plus Gold GPU: MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 3070 Ti 8GB RAM: OLOy Blade RGB 64GB DDR4-3600 (4×16GB) HDD: WD Blue 1TB SSD: SAMSUNG 970 EVO PLUS M.2 2280 1TB Monitor 1: Sceptre IPS 24" 165Hz (1920x1080) Monitor 2: BenQ MOBIUZ EX240N 24" 165Hz (1920x1080) 1. Budget & Location I'd prefer it be under $1K USD. I'm US based. 2. Aim I mostly use my PC for gaming. Some examples being Black Desert, FPS games such as CoD and the likes, FFXIV, and so on. Those are my most played games in order, but I can list more if needed. 3. Monitors I use two monitors currently, but I have thought about getting a third. I'm not fully decided on that, though. 4. Peripherals I don't need peripherals or OS at the moment. 5. Why are you upgrading? It's been several years since I made any significant upgrades, so I feel my specs are somewhat outdated and could use some fine-tuning.

Going to be upgrading my GPU soon and only recently learned about bottlenecking so bare with me. For my current build I have a GTX 1070 and a Ryzen 7 2700X 3.7GHz, but I am going to be upgrading to a RTX 4080 (Or RTX 4080 Super depending on prices). I know the Ryzen 7 2700X will be a bottleneck for my new GPU but if I upgrade my CPU to a Ryzen 9 5950X will it still bottleneck my new RTX 4080? (I am going to be playing and working at 4K if that makes a difference) (The max I can upgrade my CPU to at the moment is the Ryzen 9 5950X due to my motherboard) Also another bonus question, my 2700X has a base clock of 3.7Ghz while the 5950X has a base clock of 3.4Ghz but can be overclocked to 4.9Ghz while the 2700X can only be overclocked to 4.3Ghz. What's up with that? Why does the newer better CPU have a lower base clock? MY CURRENT BUILD: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/72PbdH (Will any of my other PC parts bottleneck my new GPU?) (I will be upgrading my PSU to a 1000w so don't worry about that)

Hey all! Decided to download Division 2 to play with a friend over the weekend. However, I ran into a pretty strange display issue. I attached a video of what happens. Basically, the game launches, and works for a brief moment before the screen goes black and it begins flickering from the black screen to my desktop over and over again. It does not stop. There is no way to get out of this loop except for rebooting the machine. Some of the troubleshooting steps I have tried: - Roll back Nvidia drivers - Disable multiple displays and try running the game with only 1 - Reinstalling the game on by 2 different drives - Forcing the game to run in Dx11 instead of 12 - Verifying the game files - Checked Event Viewer but couldn't locate anything noteworthy I'm pretty lost as to what can be the issue, since I play a multitude of other games and none of them have these issues. Would appreciate any help on this! 72810353842__7099DDF8-6C53-4ECA-91C2-14E747DA531F.mov

so... I was checking this video on YouTube and if you watch the video the water gets a pretty good speed when he pours it down the straw because there's almost no resistance in it, so that should mean that if you use that you could get a better flow rate due to the lack of resistance on the tubing and also in theory that could also be a very good solution for permeation and that's always a concern in water-cooling a pc on the long run, can someone correct me if I'm wrong with this or someone has already done before and can share the experience? on the other side it will be amazing doing a full hydrophobic pc for an ltt video if there's a way to make that happen jajajajaja

Hello everyone, I've recently built a new pc and ever since i've gotten it i've been getting problems. Games often crash for no reason. It depends from game to game, but for almost all the games I get no error message. Only game I got an error message is Alan Wake II and it just said 'GPU crash'. On Fortnite for example it crashes in game but I can weirdly fix this by shutting Steam off completely. I also edit on After Effects 2023 and there I get blue screen froms time to time with different error codes but things like: 'Page_Fault_In_NonPaged_Area' and 'System_Service_Exceptions' are the ones I can remember. When the blue screen gets to 100% it just stays there forever and nothing happens. Discord also crashes often while gaming with a 'javascript error'. I've tried reinstalling Windows, underclocking my pre-overclocked gpu, but nothing works. I don't know what to do anymore, so if anyone has some advice for me that would be great. Here's some information about my pc: I let my pc be assembled by Alternate but I chose the parts myself: OS: Windows 11 Home: 10.0.22631 Build 22631 64bit CPU: Intel Core I9-14900K 3200 1700 GPU: Asus 12GB D6X RTX 4070TI ProArt Overclocked Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix Z790-H Gaming Wifi Z790 SSD: 2TB Samsung 990 pro Ram: G.Skill 64 DDR5-6000 Trident Z5 RGB, XMP Power supply: be quiet pure power 12M 1000W Running on the newest BIOS, newest drivers installed. Really appreciate any help.

Look on advice on what parts I should look to upgrade on my PC. Current set up: Motherboard MSI MPG X570 GAMING PLUS Motherboard ATX, AM4, DDR4, LAN, USB 3.2 CPU AMD Ryzen 3 3200G Processor (4C/4T, 6MB cache, 4.0GHz Max Boost) GPU Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080ti SSD/HDD Samsung 960 EVO 500GB 2TB Harddrive RAM DDR4 16GB 2400mhz Any more info required just ask. Looking to upgrade as it's very slow on boot up and in gaming it's starting to lag behind what I want it for. Looking for advice on upgradeability of the above specs or on building a new pc (specs) and what I could turn the old one into.

As described in the title, I'm running a Ryzen 5 3600 in NZXT's H1 case with the built-in 140mm AIO and PSU (detailed specs below). This has been a long-running issue, but has slowly gotten worse over time. My CPU temp stays locked at 75C+ while at idle. While running a game--for example Destiny 2 @ medium settings--it's pegged at 96C and won't cool down. Have tried a couple of different solutions (listed below) but with no success. This is my first PC I built myself, and although I'm pretty technical, I'm struggling to figure out what I could try next for solutions. Any help/suggestions are appreciated! I've attached a screencap of HWMonitor, programs currently open are Discord, Chrome, and HWMonitor. Specs: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 AMD Radeon RX 5500XT ASRock B450 Gaming-ITX/ac 16GB DDR4 RAM NZXT H1 Case + 140mm AIO + 750W PSU Windows 10 v22H2, build 19045.3930 1920x1200 display Can provide additional details if necessary Attempted solutions: Adjusting fan curve Cleaning dust filters Removing top/sides of case Unscrewing AIO+Fan and letting run outside case Tightening screws on CPU block Replacing thermal paste on CPU Updating drivers Additional Details: Unsure if these details are related, but here they are just in case. 1. I get a lot of instability, PC crashes/BSODs somewhat frequently (once every couple weeks or so). Many times, I will need to reinstall my graphics drivers for some reason, not sure why. Again, could be unrelated. 2. Was subject to a lot of power cuts ~1 year ago, over the summer running a portable AC on the same circuit would trip the breaker in the apartment, causing immediate shutdown.

So I was cleaning my pc (what I do every 6 months) and after cleaning my fans and everything I went and plugged it back in and it won’t get any display, so I wanted to turn it off by power button and when I hold it in it blinks and it’s running at max fan speed. (It’s not the cable and I didn’t plug it in the motherboard)
