Hi there, I hope someone has had a similar situation and is able to advise something, well - I am in the process of putting together a new PC for myself and some complications have arisen. On my aorus z690 Elite ddr4 board, the CPU LED burns in a solid red color. I updated the bios via QFlashPlus to the latest version (curiosity - here I had to buy a new copy of the board and send the old one back, because it must have been damaged). Purely theoretically everything should laugh, but unfortunately something is wrong and I'm wondering - has anyone had a similar problem? Do you have any advice that tips me towards a solution? I'll also add that after pressing the power button, the LEDs on the RAM light up, the fans in the case too, but ofc the LEDs on the CPU cooling do not (they are plugged in) as well as the cooling itself does not move. I would be very grateful for any hints - I hope I didn't come across a faulty copy of the CPU, because it won't survive 2 components damaged at the start Full config: - i7 13700K - aorus z690 Elite ddr4 - gskill trident z neo ddr4 2x8GB 4000Mhz cl16 - bequiet pure power 1kW - CPU cooling - alphacool aisbaer aurora 360 - card (not installed for now , i7 has graphics) Sapphire rx6800

Budget (including currency): Around $1200 USD Country: USA Verdict: So currently I'm just Editing on Davinci Resolve which for the build I have now, it gets slow at times, and I thought my memory was fine but I think I might need more or get a better version with 64 GBs instead to make it less of a hassle. But editing aside, the following is slightly a bigger priority of mine, I also Stream often and I done a couple test runs and whenever I play long hours I tend to get dropped frames on Stream especially on games with HD graphics like It Takes Two, so, again maybe better/more ram is needed. Gaming without Streaming anything is fantastic so no problem there. Other details: I plan on streaming on 1080p 60 for the most part, as far as editing, Its nothing insane like, I'm not editing 4K footage at all. Its 1080p gameplay and I'm cutting them up, maybe a few transitions with subtitles but that's it. I leave the pro FX to the experts if I want anything extra I would just not like to have to worry about any lag or setbacks when doing my tasks and streaming, I just want it out the way. I don't think I need to upgrade my motherboard but if that's what helps than so be it. I really think its either GPU or the Memory, or Both that need upgrades to help my case but, you guys know more than me. All help is appreciated, thanks! Hi there, I am considering building a new PC and through some research I have noticed that arctic freezer 2 360 is by all accounts a good cpu cooler. The only problem is that since I am on a budget I am considering thermaltake's core g21 model for my PC case, the specs says it will fit in the front of the case but you all know that isn't always the case, has anybody tried this combo before? if anyone has any advice I would be glad to hear it! Thanks in advance

Hey all. I'm trying to water cool my PC for the first time. I have an i9 9900k and a 2080 super. Currently I'm running an AIO for the CPU and just the stock cooler for the GPU. The issue is that the GPU continuously thermal throttles almost immediately after hitting it with a load. The fans are spinning and everything and I should have plenty of airflow in the case. Anyway, long story short, this is the main reason I'm thinking of water cooling. However when I went to EK to start pricing stuff, the GPU that I have apparently has no compatible water blocks. I have a Gigabyte RTX 2080 Super Gaming OC 8G. So my question is how do I find a compatible water block from a somewhat reputable company? Is there another one from EK that would possibly fit my GPU even though it doesn't list it? Also if anyone has any ideas why my GPU is running so hot that would be nice to know as well. Thanks in advance for helping out a noob!

Budget (including currency): 1200€ Country: Germany ( i am going to buy on mindfactory ) Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Overwatch, streaming, AE, PS & steam games I know that the cpu works on the motherboard, but i realized how much issues there might be. I looked up some installation tutorials just to get ready for everything and i dont know if my power supply is enough and works with all parts. This is my first build and i dont want to screw it up by buying the wrong things. So can someone look over the parts and check if they even work together ? krakilin12 posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Hello everyone, I am here for some advice on what i should do regarding the new AMD motherboard plataform, and the Ryzen 3 3300x. I am building my first pc, have been saving and waiting for the right time to do it for about 5 years, and i need to know what to do now, should i buy the 3300x with a b450 motherboard, or should i wait for the b550 motherboards to come out, and if so, what kind of price should i expect them to be when they release. Im aiming for a 120 euro budget for the motherboard. I thank in advance for any suggestions you guys make. Thank you for your time. -

Hey Guys, I thought it would be interesting to just take a look at what a new gaming/video editing setup would cost me I would like to hear your opinions on my rig and point out the flaws I made (note: I don't want to edit a whole lot but i like cutting and editing my video material now and then) Setup: Motherboard: MSI h270 Tomahawk Arctic Memory: HyperXDimm 16 GB DDR4-2400 Kit CPU: Intel i7 7700 @ 3,6 Baseclock (up to 4,2 Boostclock) (Should I take a Ryzen 1700X in consideration ?) CPU Cooler: be quiet! Silent Loop 240mm GPU: GTX 1070 ( Will be excluded from the total price because I already own one) Power Supply: Would be great if I could get a recommendation for a 450W Power Supply (put a 70 euro power supply in just to see what the price in total would roughly be) Storage: 2TB HDD and a 256 SSD (I'm not really sure if i should use a model with a higher read an write speed but less capacity or the other way around) OS: Windows 10 Price in Total: 1245 Euro (1320 US-Dollar) It would be nice to get some opinions and recommendations in terms of optimization or better alternatives

I've recently gotten interested in learning how to build a PC. Well.. just 3 days ago actually. I have zero experience and very basic knowledge in pc building. I've been gaming on laptops and consoles for my life and I've just recently gotten my hands on an old desktop which I want to upgrade into a basic gaming pc. Mobo: ASUS H61 M-E CPU: Intel Celeron CPU G1610 @ 2.60GHz, 2600 MHz, 2 Cores, 2 Logical GPU: None? I think.. There was nothing in the PCI slot. Ram: 4gb, I think. This was bought in 2013 I think? And I want to upgrade it by getting a new CPU and a GPU. I was thinking of these two GPU: GeForce GTX 1050 Ti CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz I heard that these were budget gaming pc parts so I noted them down. Will these work with my motherboard? Or will I have to get a new one? I checked the socket in cpu-upgrade but I'm still in doubt. If anyone has any recommendations for a cheap but decent motherboard, that would be fantastic. I have very limited budget so I was thinking of getting these but I don't know if they work? I've researched a bit but it all looks so confusing to me. I've watched tons of videos on Youtube so I have some basic knowledge, but I still don't know much. Can anyone explain to me in basic terms if these will work out for gaming? Like for example some FPS games like Battlefield or maybe some survival games like Ark or Subnautica, even some MMORPGs like Tera or Blade n Soul. Thanks in advance~ I'm really taking an interest in pc building and I just am really excited. I've been binge watching for the last 2 days everything that I could find. Mostly LinusTechTips, Techquickie, and RandomGaminginHD(for the budget CPUs/GPUs)

So, I've got a build coming up soon. It's going to be an expensive one, and I'm just doing some shopping and it got me to thinking. For those of you who build regularly or frequently, how do you select your components? Particularly things like the motherboard. Particularly in regards to quality. What methodology do you use? This question is more about "ensuring you don't get DOA parts, or parts that burn out or break in 3-6 months.", and less about specifications or overall usage requirements.

I know only a bit in building pc, so I'm having trouble in making one. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/j4bnM8 Is this build good? I'm trying to keep it under $950 - $900. I'm a gamer, and I also like to multi-task. A friend of mine told me that I should invest more on gpu, cpu and ram and keep it "balanced" to avoid bottlenecks. I already have storage and some periperals so no problems about that. Any suggestions, opinions, and helpful criticism would be nice

Hey guys, I'm a person with relatively small tech knowledge when it comes to building a PC or even what parts to buy, but due to my old computer starting to die, I'm in a need of a replacement. My main use is for gaming with some possible plans to stream or do some video work in the future. I'm not aiming for a god rig, but something that will last a couple years without upgrading, my budget is set around roughly 1300$CAN, but can be extended for priorities. If the knowledge helps, I have a memory express that I can drive to, but besides that I don't know how to put a computer together. I'm open to all suggestions and recommendations. Thanks for the help guys.
