Does anyone know how frequency work? I know that there are low, high, and ultra high frequency. I want to know does an ultra high frequency is like a global king of all frequency or each type is of their own kind. I see some product say it has ISO 15693, ISO 18000-3 Mode 1 or EPC Class 1 Gen 2, ISO 18 000-6C. I want to know does ISO mean the class model or something? So for example a like a security detector uses 13.56 MHz but when another frequency of 860-960MHz also trigger it? --(I am trying to get a correct RFID tag, but don't know what frequency can do what.) My goal is to find something like this but under $200 for 200 piece https://www.atlasrfidstore.com/smartrac-block-lite-hf-rfid-paper-tag-nxp-icode-slix/

So i saw LTT's new video and i were really impressed that u dont need top notch ram speed for good performance. I personally are one of those persons who only had enough money for 2133mhz ram (which i soon were able to OC to at least 2666mhz or so), so i were wondering How do you exactly overclock the infinity fabric or whatever its called? if the mobo type matters its an a320-hdv r3.0 with an ryzen 3 2200g. I might have missunderstood what he meant in the video but im pretty sure i got most of it right. I also changed the ram timings to 19-19-19-43, but my system automatically changed it to 19-19-43-62. I tried changing the ram timings once again but then it automatically changed to 19-19-43-69, so i gave up and just keept it at what it was. If i do OC the infinity fabric should i restore my ram to the normal timings and/or ram speed?

Hello everybody , i have an older build, an i7 6700K. and i got 6 memory sticks laying around, all: Kingston HyperX (black) DDR4 4 of those memory sticks (24GB in total) are running at: 2133 MHz (stock) - 2x 8GB / 2x 4GB = 24GB TOTAL the 2 other memory sticks (16GB in total) are running at: 2666 MHz (stock) - 2x 8GB = 16GB TOTAL So now my question is: Should i just use the 24GB (4 memory sticks) running at stock 2133 Mhz ? or should i use 32GB which means: 2x 8GB = 2133 MHz & 2x 8GB = 2666 MHz and use XMP to run all 4 on: 2666 MHz or perhaps run all 4 on: 2133 Mhz ? hope someone can help me with this... Thankyou in advance,

Finally after a while I think I have found my MOBO - https://www.ebuyer.com/909585-msi-b450-tomahawk-max-amd-socket-am4-motherboard-b450-tomahawk-max?mkwid=s_dc&pcrid=51482416499&pkw=&pmt=&gclid=Cj0KCQjwqs3rBRCdARIsADe1pfQ29D__Vhs2_NFX5oFZxjlcjSAZSVSXAXpfUrcXtcu0Rktv-D2tEXIaAr8pEALw_wcB - (any other recommendations welcome (£110 budget)), however I am yet to decide on ram for the R5 2600 ocd to 4ghz all cores 1.325v. I have a budget of £100 for 16gb of ram and need something that wont cause instability and will gain the most performance possible. Can somebody recommend a kit of ram that is close to top performance, if timings need to be tightened with infinity fabric then cold somebody explain the process / what I should see performance wise. Thanks for all of the help! Loving this forum, Lex

Hey, I have just been wondering if the ram will be fast enough for a ryzen 2600 - https://www.corsair.com/uk/en/Categories/Products/Memory/vengeance-lpx-black/p/CMK16GX4M2B3200C16 - I need to have 16gb min and the price needs to be £110 or less, all help / recommendations welcome Many thanks, Lex

Hi again :D, Recently in my bid to purchase a new computer I have come to yet another halt with the release of the 3900x. At the time of writing I am waiting for the price of the 3900x to slightly decrease before I create my main build / workstation, so, as a temporary build (might become a htpc at some point) I am building a £500 computer for my online courses, games and light cad and photoshop. The system so far is : CPU : Ryzen 5 2600 CPU COOLER : stock RAM : ? MOBO : ASRock Master SLI ATX GPU : Referbished / pre owned 1060 SSD : Samsung 860evo 500gb (Currently owned) HDD : 1TB segate baracuda (Currently owned) PSU : 500w EVGA silver+ CASE : ? However, as you can tell by the title I am need for RAM. I'm not sure what mhz to buy as I know gen2 is very picky with RAM and I only have a tight budget of £100-£125s for it. Preferably I would also like 2x8gb if that's possible - any recommendation welcome (idc about rgb etc for this build) Other than that I am wondering if you could recommend other mobos (£110 or under), other GPUs for 1080p / 1440p gaming (£110 or under - i'm in London if it helps) and a case for £30 or under. Best of luck trying to decipher what I have written and thanks in advance, Lex

If one were to pair a Ryzen 3000 chip with an X370 MOBO, could one expect to achieve 3600 frequency? I've read many posts discussing limitations of first generation Ryzen and most user unable to go beyond 3200mhz or so. Is this due to the first gen CPUs or the MOBOs themselves? Yes, I saw another user on these forums ask a similar question, but they only discussed 3200mhz. Anybody have knowledge / personal experience they could drop? Thanks for the help as always, guys.

Hi I’m new to pc gaming and I thought I would be a good idea to overclock my gpu for extra performance. I have +145mhz on core clock +800mhz on memory clock my questions are; can this harm/damage my Gpu? and is this a good overclock?

I am a streamer on Twitch, and I stream primarily Fortnite, just to give readers a perspective of what I do on my system. (I stream and play on one system, no streaming PC) Stream linked at the end for an idea of my quality and if you want to talk to me live, I would be delighted! I stream at 720p and at 60fps I have also heard that using the exact same RAM is important because it can be very finicky when using 2+ ram sticks with any variations. Is this true? My system supports 64gb RAM, and since it is a powerful computer by today's standards, I am going to be using this system for a very long time. Should I go immediately to 2x16gb of ram as my upgrade? This is where I decide what I need to fit my streaming needs, any editing needs I may have, gaming needs, and any needs that I will have in the future. So is the higher frequency ram worth it for me. (Yes, I have watched the Linus Tech Tip video on RAM speed, and it was fantastic as his videos always are, but I am looking for further, more personalized insight. I take it from his video that I would want to purchase a maximum of 3200 MHz, even though my motherboard supports 4000 Mhz?) Also, should I overclock my CPU to 5 Ghz? (I have liquid cooling.) Would this hurt my CPU in any way even with adequate cooling, and would it make a big enough difference in performance to sacrifice any of my CPU's lifetime? Am I looking to upgrade the wrong things all together? This is my first performance setup, and I am looking to further my technical knowledge! Thanks for checking out my topic! NOTE: I know not all parts of my system listed are necessary to know, I list them anyways to give a full perspective on my situation. My system: Motherboard: ASUS Prime Z370-P Processor: i7 8700k (3.70 Ghz) GPU: NVIDIA Geforce 1080 Ti 11 GB GDDR5X RAM: 16 GB DDR4 (2666 MHz) (8 GB x 2) Cooling: Cooler Master MasterLiquid Lite ML120L RGB AIO OS: Windows 10 Home 64-bit Power Supply: 700W Case: COUGAR Panzer-G (3 x 120 mm LED fans) (Listed for any sense of air flow needed) Storage: 240 GB 1 TB 7200 RPM HDD Network: Ethernet 10/100/1000Mbps Wireless AC600 <Link Removed>

Which one will gain more performance? I heard ryzen takes advantage of those extra mhz

Hey guys, I do a lot of video editing, so I want to upgrade my RAM of 16gb to 32gb. I found something that could work with my pc, however I´m not sure if it´s able to use its full capacity. In the attachment a picture of my system that also says DDR4-2400 The product I want to install however has 3600mhz. Does the picture of my system tell me there´s no way I can use the full 3600mhz, or is there someway I can overclock so I actually can. Thanks in advance!

Hi to everyone and thanks in advance for the help. I´m buying one stick of RAM to add to my existing one, but they're a little bit different: My old stick is: Ballistix Sport LT 8GB DDR4-2400 UDIMM 16-16-16 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR4-2400 • 1.2V • 1024Meg x 64 • https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/bls8g4d26bfsck The new one will be: Ballistix Sport LT 8GB DDR4-2666 UDIMM 16-18-18 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR4-2666 • 1.2V • 1024Meg x 64 • https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/bls8g4d240fsck Will these two match up good, or is there a possibility for trouble? I cant find the exact same one so that´s why I´m going for a different one :(

Laptop GPU Stuck At 300/150 MHZ Unplugged/Battery Power fix
toemass posted a topic in Graphics Cards
I have a Dell G7 7790, i7 9750H with an NVIDIA RTX 2070 Max-Q Design. It runs flawlessly on AC power/plugged in. Whenever you use the laptop on battery power/unplugged, the GPU core clock plummets to 300 MHZ and memory clock to 150 MHZ. For example, MSI Kombuster was reaching 6 FPS with 720 resolution and default settings. This was a design choice by Dell to save battery life, while majorly sacrificing performance. This made running games unplayable. You couldn't run any game smoothly. You had to plug it in whenever you game, so it wasn't even a mobile gaming laptop, which is what I intended to use when I bought it, regardless of how long a gaming session would last. I've tried making tweaks and performance adjustments to no avail by following many forum and video posts such as: Setting every energy saving option to disabled and every battery power option to high performance via Nvidia Control Panel, Geforce Experience, Power Options (including hidden power options available via registry), Battery Performance, Registry Tweaks and Dell battery apps Registry tweaks Downgrading BIOS Overclocking GPU Overclocking/underclocking CPU Formatting Windows 10 Avast antivirus scan With every option I could think of exhausted, I thought of changing the VBIOS on the graphics card. This fixed the problem. After trying some similar VBIOS's to the Dell RTX 2070 Max-Q through the Techpowerup website, I managed to find a Razer RTX 2070 Max-Q VBIOS that was compatible with my graphics card. As soon as I made the change, I saw a massive improvement in performance. I am now reaching 21 FPS with MSI Kombuster. It is not on par with AC power/plugged in (which is 47 FPS on MSI Kombuster), but I am satisfied with the sacrifice of performance to save battery life. So, to increase your performance on battery usage on laptops, you must upgrade or use a different VBIOS. To do this, follow these guidelines: Use nvflash through an elevated CMD. You should only need to use 3 commands, which are 'Save VBIOS firmware to file', 'Remove write protect' and 'Update VBIOS firmware' Be sure to backup your current VBIOS with nvflash to a .ROM file Visit techpowerup and download their VBIOS's. Find one similar to your graphics card. Match up your default core and memory clock to the ones on techpowerup. You can view your default core and memory clock in NVInspector You will know the VBIOS you tried to use does not work/fails if your graphics card in device manager will stay disabled. To fix it, it should be as easy as updating it back to your original VBIOS I hope anybody finds this information useful. I can finally game anywhere I want. -
So I gave my friend my old HyperX Savage memory (2x4GB @2400MHz). They already have one stick of 16GB 1600MHz memory. So what's the best configuration to use here?

hey guys, i choose the 2700x as my new cpu! but lots and lots of problem came up! watching some vids on the net i saw that zen+ still works a lot better with fast ram! sooooo now the question.. let's say that a mobo support up to 3400mhz can i go higher or its just the limit supported? whats the sweet spot for ram speed on this cpu? lets talk about costs the 3200mhz is the more affordable the higher i go the more 60 to 100 euros i spend. so about that if i take the x470 auros ultra gaming , 2700x , tridentz rgb 3200mhz i spend around 644euros but if i have to get higher mhz ram and have to go with a difference mobo cause it not support the 3600mhz ram the price is a whole new story let's say the asus prime, trident 3600mhz, 2700x is 763 euros are those 120 euros more getting me a nice performance bump? is it cheaper to just oc the cpu to 4.2 and have a 3200mhz ram? and still have similar performance? can the stock cooler bring me to 4.2 or i have to upgrade? thanks guys in advance for the time!

is corsair vengeance lpx ddr4 3000mhz (CMK8GX4M1D3000C16) a good choice for ryzen 5 2600 ? motherboard may be b450 tomahawk or x470 gaming pro .

title says everything. The model is HX424C15FB2/8, planing to get 2 of those and make them run dual channel. Now why im getting those is because they are alot cheaper in my local shop, and if i can get them around 3000mhz then im happy.
