Help me decorate my PC please. Hey everyone, just looking for recommendations on what to do for my case. My case is a coolermaster mastercase pro 3. Note that nothing in my pc has led in it. Mobo, GPU, RAM none have leds. I was planning to just put led strips but I am still hesitant to. So far, I am planning to do a black and blue build. If anyone can help me on just recommendations or give me an idea on how to decorate my pc I would really appreciate it. Thanks! Note: -My motherboard is a h310m ds2 gigabyte - I only have about less than 50$ to decorate it

Hey! So I'm looking to build a PC which I will be using almost exclusively for VR gaming, and nothing else. Here are the parts I'm looking at- Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 G1 Intel i7-7700k Seasonic S12II 430 BRONZE MSI ATX Z370-A PRO ASUS Wi-Fi PCI Express Adapter (PCE-AC56) Team Dark 2 x 8GB (16GB) DDR4 CRYORIG H7 Tower Cooler WB Blue 500GB WD5000LPCX All inside a Corsair Vengeance case Totaling about $1,400 My question is, is there any way I can save money by opting for less expensive parts without sacrificing performance? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/vwnZfH (The case in the PCPartPicker list is just a stand-in)

Intro I have been struggling with a recent issue with my system. Arriving home today I noted that the lighting in my case didn't see quite right though I couldn't tell what it was that was wrong at first. I tried to start up and got no display. From there I inspected further.... Without Changing Anything From default when I attempted start up everything seemed to cycle as normal however my graphics card would glow orange and then flash red from its LEDs (my setup is typically blue). Fans would spin up and my water cooler was lit but the LEDs embedded in my motherboard are not lit. I attempted to get display directly from the onboard graphics but got nothing there either. The orange pwr_led is lit up on my board but from Asus documentation it appears that's normal and I've just never noticed it before. Attempted Solutions 1. Re-seating Power Cables - I went through each power cable to double check they were seated correctly both in the PSU and in their destination locations. No change in outcome. 2. Checking Ram - I checked my ram modules by attempting to use each of my two modules individually. It wouldn't boot with either module. 3. Checking Video Card - I removed the video card and attempted to get display from onboard graphics alone. I still did not receive any display. 4. Clear CMOS - I attempted to clear CMOS using the jumper. When I tried to start up I actually got the boot error light on my board lit up. This was the last thing I tried. I am going to attempt a full CMOS clear with the battery removed next but I had to go to work. Next Steps That I Can Think Of I can only really think of 3 things left for me to try.... 1. The full CMOS clear mentioned above 2. Trying a different PSU in my system 3. Find another CPU to try in my board/another system to try my CPU in If anyone has any other ideas I would really appreciate it. I really really don't want to get to that third step unless I really have to so any other things to try would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Basic System Specs Mobo: Asus z270 Strix Gaming CPU: 7700 (Or 7600, honestly I forget, I have to check when I'm home) Memory: 8gbx2 DDR4 GPU: Asus 1080 Strix Storage: M.2 and HDD PSU: EVGA Supernova 850 G3

So I'm posting this with my phone so hope it all makes sense. I have a complicated stream setup, basically I stream my PC to my laptop, I use a 180hz monitor and want to see my game at 180hz and stream at 60hz 1080p, I have an Elgato HD 60 S not using audio over the Elgato as it cracks and pops at high volumes. I want to be able to hear my game sound through my headphones and my discord/teamspeak as well so when I turn my speakers up you won't hear my friends on discord talking. I managed to get this sorted by buying a Beringer Mixer, bare in mind that my front output for headphones works simultaneously with my speakers out to my 5.1 speakers which are plugged into the back of my motherboard. So that's all fine, but now the problem is noise from the audio, when turning up the volume on my mixer, the audio makes a high pitched buzzing noise which is horrible, I am looking for a soundcard that has no noise/buzzing and will allow me to output to Front/Rear/CSUB & headphones at the same time simultaneously, any ideas?

I went to a techsupport group to help me on reddit and they couldnt figure out why it was underclocking, so I decided to try this forum. I went there with the issue of my fps dropping to 60 to 20 fps, this has been happening for a couple of months but ive been trying to live with it. Now I decided I want to fix it and found that my cpu had been underclocking. I have the capable specifications to run all my games I have no idea why it would underclock. http://speccy.piriform.com/results/y6OA5YfphijFM4lPEHc1nSk heres my pc under load (click it and it will make u download the logs underload) https://share.rtechsupport.org/logs.CSV i used furcon and prime95 to make it go underload.

Hi, I have a Gigabyte z370M-D3H Motherboard with F3 BIOS, "recently" many manufacturers released BIOS update (Gigabyte released the F4 BIOS) because of the Intel ME vulnerability and I was thinking in updating the BIOS. But the were some warnings in Gigabyte website and some people saying that flashing (updating) the BIOS can be risky and shouldn't be done unless there's system instability. I'm always careful of what I install and where I browse in the web + have an antivirus + check the PC with other portable AV. How this Intel ME vulnerabilty works? Does the attacker need to make me download a Trojan or other malware in order to exploit it or he/she doesn't need any and can just acess directly? It may sound like a noob question but I'm sorta paranoid and I'm afraid of installing a new BIOS just to screw a new motherboard that was working just fine and could have prevented this vulnerability just by browsing carefully. I apologize if there's already another topic about this but I couldn't find any.

They have release a detection tool for both linux and windows, so you can scan and check out whether your system has the ME flaw or not. Detection Tool https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27150 https://www.wired.com/story/intel-management-engine-vulnerabilities-pcs-servers-iot/amp

Looking to get a new monitor I'm set on wide screen curved monitors no bigger than 27 inches. I have a gtx 1060 6gb and an i5 6600. I definitely need a monitor upgrade for gaming I'm currently using a crappy acer one. Im not looking for 4k yet but want to do either 1080 or the ultra hd. I'm not Sure what bottlenecking I will run into adding such a large monitor. My thoughts are selling my mobo and chip and gpu. Then converting to Ryzen and getting a better gpu. Just not sure what you guys reccomend. Hate my monitor but don't want to waste money if I cant handle it. I mainly game and dont do any editing but it is also my homework station. My budget is about a 1000 dollars for a full system upgrade but I would of course love to spend less. As far as the monitor maybe like 500 or less. This is the potato monitor I have right now https://pcpartpicker.com/product/jCYXsY/acer-monitor-etws0hpa01 was thinking https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CX26WIG/ref=s9_acsd_bw_wf_a_NREmainw_cdl_13?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-5&pf_rd_r=E1G57JBQGKWH29EHZ2SA&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=e749807b-5e77-4da1-9298-ad0fb31c87dc&pf_rd_i=15443255011

I just wanted to know if there was a way to record a computer with obs studio, from a different computer. With one computer gaming only and the other recording/editing. I was thinking of building another computer just to record, because I already have one thats doing both at once.

Hi. I have an MSI Z170A Gaming M3 motherboard that has a flashing blue light and another red light. The computer itself wont turn on. I was trying to install a heatsink fan and the metal bit at the end of the measuring tape turned off the computer. Any advice on how to get my desktop working again? I can't start anything and the only thing that's on are the two lights. I haven't built this computer myself so I don't really know where everything is. I had this computer for almost a year and this is the first time this happened to me.

So I have this sick build http://nz.pcpartpicker.com/list/c2RgBP but I don't know whether if I should go for a GTX 1060 or Rx480. The 1060 has slightly better performance BUT the Rx480 has 8gb of Vram as well as Vulkin 12 'advantages'. I like to play Overwatch, Gta 5, Csgo etc. Most AAA Titles. I also do big projects and stuff, I don't know why that matters but just saying. And Yes I know I have the budget to get a 1070 but my monitor is sh*t, so no problem. If you can help me that would be great and telling me the model like for example, Rx480 strix, would be nice. I also live in New Zealand so use this site to see if my country even has this specific model of the 1060 or 480: http://pricespy.co.nz/ . Thanks

Specs: AMD FX 8350 XFX Radeon R9 270X Windows 10 16gb rip jaws RAM It occurs most often when I play games. Literally any game. The error message that displays with the BSOD is either system_service_exception or apc_index_mismatch. I upgraded from Windows 7 a few months back and this started happening. Updating drivers is no help at all and updating windows seems to make the problem worse. When I reset the pc it works well for a short while then it's back to blue screening all the time. I have no idea what to do.

OkayQuest posted a topic in New Builds and Planning
Hey everyone, I'm looking for a build to get me 60+ fps high-ultra in games. I've worked very hard on this list refining it with my rather small knowledge of computer parts and a lot of research. My budget is 650-660 USD, I need to keep the wifi. But anything else I'm willing to change, just wanting the best bang for my buck build I can get. (Poor college student, etc etc.) Thank you in advance for all the help guys! Hello LTT community! Here is a build that has been in progress for about a week. The budget is $2500 AUD and the desktop will be used for rendering graphics, videos, and playing games. Do you have any suggestions or tips for the build? Perhaps you know some equally performing parts that are a tad cheaper? Let me know! LINK: $2500 AUD Gaming Desktop. Notes: I am completely fine with the monitor size. As I have been using a 14" screen for 4 years, a 23" will be more than enough I have a spare 750GB HDD that I will be installing into the system, I already have it, so it's not included in the list.

Hello amazing community! I need help building a desktop! Information about myself, and how I plan on using the desktop: Hello! I am a young graphics designer which means that I use software such as Photoshop and Illustrator on a regular basis. I also make video renderings with Sony Vegas. With that being said, I am also a gamer. I want a graphics card, CPU, and RAM that can handle having multiple heavy software open at once such as Photoshop running in the background with a video being rendered at the same time, and still be able to use the computer without lag. Now it doesn't have to be perfect, I know rendering really kills the speed of a computer, but I hope you get what I mean. I want to be able to multitask without having to worry too much about the computer slowing down. I also want to be able to finally run games on max settings. The new Battlefield 1 game is coming out soon, and I really look forward to playing it, on max settings. I also want the graphics card and CPU to last a long time without needing to upgrade it. Therefore I am willing to spend a large percentage of the money on those 2 parts. I assume that the multitasking will require a decent amount of RAM and a multi-threading CPU such as the Intel Core i7 (what about Intel Core i5?). The games will require a decent GPU to run them on max settings. So recap: A pc that will (reasonably) last the test of time. A pc that can play new AAA games on max settings. A pc that can multitask with heavy software running in the background (for my profession). I am in Australia! Information on Specs: Budget $2500 AUD $2350 AUD with operating system... Monitor Around $200 AUD (it can go above or lower) 22-24 inches in size. Slim with the least amount of plastic on the sides such as this: < https://www.pccasegear.com/products/36461/aoc-i2481fxh-23-8in-slim-widescreen-ips-monitor > CPU Intel Core preferably - I don't know, Intel Core i5 or Intel Core i7? Cooling System I don't know if I should get a fan (that isn't the stock one the CPU comes with) or go for water cooling... Please advise me on this dilemma with consideration to what I want from my desktop. Graphics Card I prefer Nvidia (happy with their performance + customer loyalty :P) I want the majority (%) of the money going into a strong GPU. RAM Minimum 8GB. Motherboard A strong motherboard that will last a long time (in terms of outdated performance) Tower Minimum mid tower size I want really good airflow I don't care about aesthetic appeal (I did last time, but it turns out that the majority of the time, you look at your monitor, not your tower. Shocking news, I know!) Preferably a cheap costing tower. Keyboard Cheap (under $60 AUD), but not risky quality, as I plan on using it for years... I honestly don't care about a fancy keyboard or one that makes the clicking sound. Must have some sort of lighting so I can see the keyboard letters at night time if the lights are closed. Preferably has some sort of etc keys that can be keybinded (those macro ones) - only preferred, not a must. It must have a numpad. I found this one, let me know what you think about it < https://www.pccasegear.com/products/29701/tt-esports-challenger-prime-gaming-keyboard > Harddrive I want to have both a solid state drive and a normal hard drive. The SSD I want to be about 100GB. Harddrive minimum 750GB. All the other components such as the internet chip etc. Things such as power supply Note this desktop will be using Wifi, not cable I already own a mouse and mousepad! Etc

Hi, i recently bought an XFX R9 290 off of Craigslist for a gpu upgrade. I also bought a PSU new from memory express so I would have enough wattage. I then proceeded to rewire my computer with the new power supply, and install the new GPU. Everything was wired correctly, and the gpu fans were spinning, but it failed to post. I thought that the GPU might be dead, so I put the GPU in my cousins fairly new gaming rig (R9 390 i7 4790k). It worked, amazingly may I add. What's wrong?

Hello there, I have been experiencing many issues with my GPU and its becoming increasingly stressful when i come to play newer titles like Far Cry Primal and XCOM 2. The problem is that my game freezes for 5 seconds then i black screen with sound looping in the background then a message from my monitor saying "No Source". The company i have bought from is Novatech(.co.uk) and i have emailed them twice with a response saying that it is because of my PSU is not sufficient to run the card however on Power consumption calculators say that i need a 600W power supply to run my whole rig and i have 650W power supply. So now im wondering if its a faulty issue! can anyone back me up to think that is just a faulty GPU or is it genuinly a Power Supply issue because its either i buy a £110 850W power supply or i can get a refund and get a XFX DD R9 380 as replacement somewhere else that seems more reliable. Please help Much Thanks, James
