Are playlist/librarys shared between people or are the on each seperate apple id? Me and my parents want to share an apple music family plan, but my step dad is worried that his playlists could possibly be edited by my mom or I. I couldnt find any information on this anywhere else so I resorted to where I know best. Thanks in advance for any information on this.

Device: iPhone 6s Plus OS: iOS 14.4.2 I was trying to update YouTube from the App Store and apparently it requires my iTunes account that I don't have? It said if I don't have an iTunes account I could use my Apple ID. I tried using my Apple ID password for the login but it keeps saying either my Apple ID or password is incorrect. It never even asked me for my Apple ID unlike a traditional username and password login. It just asked me for my password without telling which Apple ID I'm trying to log into nor asking me for it. I've reset my password from the given option but it still said I'm wrong. I can't update my apps without an iTunes account I guess. I downloaded the iTunes Store and the Apple Music app and there's no account system or anything like that from what I see. Here are some screenshots, I would appreciate any help! Thanks! First image: The list from where I'm trying to update YouTube and other apps Second image: The prompt it asks me when I click update from the previous image

Recently, I have installed iTunes from the Microsoft store onto my laptop with the intention of adding music to my iPod Nano, however, my device isn't recognized. After a little digging, I've learned that the 'Apple' folder in common files is missing as well as the AMDS. I cannot find any place to individually install theses files to my laptop and after uninstalling and reinstalling 3 times, I'm out of luck and have not a clue what to do: anyone have any suggestions?

I know that in some versions there is support for "themes," but I don't know how to find or set them up, wondering if anyone else knows how to do this, or if there are existing resources/guides. I use 12.4.3.1, 32 bit, on Windows 10 because it has more features than current iTunes. (Weird, right?) On a similar issue, if I have to go and modify it manually, the updater text box pops up every time I restart the app, even if I tick the box saying "Do not ask me again," wondering if ther could be a way to actually activate that flag. This is probably a long shot, but I'd appreciate not burning out my eyes whenever I try to turn on shuffle.

Hi guys, I'm a long time iphone user and just bought a Galaxy S10. I'm looking for a program(s) to manage my phone media. I've tried looking in FAQ sections here and there and explore the options but it's really overwhelming. What I need is - Sync phone music with my itunes library. (or something that can import and export the library to/from itunes. - Sync my photos and videos between my phone and computer. ( they are just sitting in folders on my computer) - Make complete backups to computer. It doesn't have to be all in one program/app I'm willing to put up with 2-3. Any help is appreciated ^^ Thanks!

You will listen to this free U2 Album It is reported that during the software keynote at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference in San Jose, California next Monday, the tech giant is set to replace iTunes with different standalone version of music, television and podcast apps. replacing the almost 2 Decade old unifying app into 3 separate counterparts. Itunes was originally introduced in Jan. 9, 2001 . last update it received was at may 28 2019 just a few days back & that'll be the end of it, It's not planning to update the app according to the rumored news from Bloomberg. But no-one knows quite yet when it’ll put the service to bed permanently, presumably it’ll offer weeks or months for users to get their files in order before pulling the plug. The updated Music app will replace all music storage and organization functionality currently handled by iTunes. If you need to manage your iThings (local backups, OS updates, etc.), the Music app will take over there just as iTunes always has. users can expect the Music app to host many of iTunes’ audio features from now on. Apple already has dedicated apps for TV & Podcast being polished up for the event, with the introduction of the sleeker music app it will calling of the itunes app. Users can expect the new Music app to offer some of the same functionalities that iTunes currently does such as purchasing songs and syncing phones Music on mac OS retains the ability to sync a user’s devices such as iPhones and iPods. Devices show up in the sidebar just like they do on iTunes. The search bar has been moved to the sidebar, which integrates both Apple Music categories as well as the user’s local Music library, inherited from iTunes. This is the New Music App UI screenshot according to 9 to 5mac leaks Personally last time i used Itunes was way back when i got an ipod 3rd gen shuffle, the interface was pretty choppy back then i had no idea how to use it even after watching tutorials & kinda went with the flow & somehow added songs literally by luck. a stupid Chinese USB music player at that time had seriously better ease of use simple drag and drop interface which a few of my friends had. Maybe it would've changed later i could've gotten used to it but i dunno. And it looks like i'm not gonna.i used it rarely when i had the chance & whenever i was interacting with it i was confused creating playlist & having it organize files in my way. Anyways, So what do you guys think about this? Post your comments, rant, reaction down below. Hey, so I have a galaxy S7 edge and I still download all of my music and organize it into play lists on my phone. So one day I open the music app up and all of my play lists are empty. So I go ahead and reorganize them again and a few months later the same thing happened again but this time the SD card wasn't recognized until I took it out and put it back in again. So really what I am asking here is what is the best music solution for someone who still downloads all of their own music? I kinda just want something like I tunes where I can just get it together on my pc and plug in my phone and have it update all my play lists like that but I would rather not switch to an I phone. Also I listen to a lot of Japanese music so streaming isn't really the solution for me because last I remember the library for that type of music on spotify is very small. And I tend to not have the best data connection all the time.

So, I made an iPhone backup a month ago on my PC through iTunes so I have the backup file, and from that I would like to pull my photos because I don't want to get another iPhone, there's plenty of tools BUT they only let you "read" and to export your photos they charge insane fees, anyone have any suggestions on how to pull my photos? ALSO: I don't have an iCloud backup because I had 10Gb+ photos and didn't want to pay for extra storage so I can't directly download them from iCloud.com

Source: ChannelNewsAsia (July 22), MacRumours, Source: ChannelNewsAsia, VentureBeats Summary: On July 22, 2018, Apple (Singapore) customers were shocked to find that they had billed for purchases on iTunes, for purchases that they did not make. The banks can notify them via SMS to state that their money in the bank account is low or if the bank detects very suspicious transactions, they immediately pause the transactions and query the card owners if they actually made those transactions. The unauthorised charges can also be billed to their mobile phone bill. The following day, Apple (Singapore) denies responsibility, however, is looking into the issue, meanwhile Singapore iTunes customers seek help from their bank to cancel their transaction and hope to get a refund. Banks even suggested that the card owners, to replace their compromised cards with a new one. Some iTunes owners are able to get a refund from Apple (Singapore), while others were not able to. My Own Thoughts Not sure if this is related to the recent cyberattack, which 1.5 million SingHealth patients' data were stolen. It's real scary, considering my country is trying to be a SmartNation. Question 1. Not sure about iTunes, but Google Play, before you purchase something, it request user's verification. There's an option to always verify, or trust this device. Do you set it to hassle-free and trust your device? 2. After successfully making a credit/debit transaction, do you remove your card from that account? 3. Do you guys used those Steam Cards, Google Play Gift Card, or Apple Gift Card(?, I know Apple has it too, just not sure of the name), load it up to your account and use it?

I have a Drobo 5N w/24 TB out of 40 TB possible, and about 46% full. I store Docs, Pics, and Media on it. I can access it all the time it always shows on my network. But I keep loosing connection between the Drobo and iTunes so my Apple TV's stops. When I go into the Prefs it shows that the destination file has changed from the Drobo to the media fold on my Mac Mini. this happens about 2 or 3 times daily. I called Apple all they tell me is there is not a NAS that is compatible with Apple and there is nothing they can tell me about the Pref changes. Apple also told me if I wanted to use a NAS with my Mini's to use a Air Port Time Capsule even though their max capacity is far below what I need. I told them that if Apple ever made a Expandable NAS at an affordable price I would consider it. Does anyone know any fixes? I have looked all over the place but nothing has worked.

I have rented a movie on iTunes, and I would like to screen record a section of it for my own personal use (I want to practise my editing skills on it, as I think I could move the order of events that round). I have a few questions about this: 1. What is a screen recorder that can record itunes rented movie footage on windows 10? 2. Will apple know I am screen recording it? Does itunes have a function built in to see if it is being screen recorded? I ask this as I don't want them to think I am trying to record it to distribute it or something, as I am actually only using it to practise editing. I am worried if they find out they might suspend my account or something. P.S. I am in the UK if that matters.

Source: The Verge To those ten people who uses Windows 10S but would want Apple Music because they own an iPhone, rejoice! iTunes for the Windows Store is now available to download for free. It has the same user experience and interface as iTunes from Apple.com but instead of updating itself using Apple Software Update, it will automatically update using the Store app. Unfortunately, iCloud will remain outside of the Windows Store so to those who would want to sync their iCloud contents to their Windows 10S devices, you're out of luck. After launching the app right after installation, iTunes will prompt that it will uninstall old iTunes to be replaced by the new one. Just say yes to the UAC prompt and it will take a few minutes to migrate your sign in info from the old iTunes install to the new one. No mention just yet if Apple will start selling lossless FLAC files. To audophiles out there, which would sound better? The 320 kbps OGG Vorbis format of Spotify or the 256 kbps AAC that iTunes/Apple Music uses? Would the extra 64 kilobits would actually matter when it comes to audio quality given they're both lossy compression. When it comes to features, I think Apple Music wins hands down with their Beats1 radio which is way better than Spotify's radio discovery. Also, Apple Music will display lyrics of the current song playing. You don't have that with Spotify. Also, Apple Music has music videos. Spotify doesn't have that. But if there's one thing Spotify does better than Apple Music/iTunes is UI navigation. In mobile, Spotify is way easier to use and searching for a song would require less taps and scrolls unlike in Apple Music. While both services are cross platform for PC, Mac, iOS and Android, Spotify wins when it comes to playing nice with other platforms other than Apple. Spotify works not only with an Apple TV but also with a Chromecast, NVIDIA Shield, and even on a PS4. Also, the Android version of Apple Music is rated not so good compared to Spotify. And, Spotify has an ad subsidized option, Apple Music only has three months of free trial. While Apple Music has an Android app, it will suck to those who has signed up for a subscription but never owned an iOS device. In order to use Apple Music on an Android phone, you should sign up using either a Mac or an iPhone/iPad and that's the time Apple Music will work on Android. But if there are things Apple Music does better than Spotify is that Apple Music has way more songs, they pay higher royalties to record labels (might not be the case now since Taylor Swift is back on Spotify), and works with Siri.

So i take it iTunes has shut down use in bigscreen because of those people that like to share?

So why is a iTunes tv episode only like 1.8GB but when I rip the episode off a blu-ray in the same 1080p its like 10GB? Does iTunes compress their videos or something? If they do is iTunes 1080p any better than a DVD??? Or does it meet blu-ray quality? Thanks in advance.

According to the article here: https://torrentfreak.com/thor-ragnarok-furiously-pirated-after-itunes-pre-order-blunder-180122/ Thor Ragnarok was released for download to early. After just 10 hours the DRM was cracked and now everyone who wants to see this movie as 1 option. Pirate it. The movie was planned to be released on February 17th. First of all: I don't recommend pirating anything! A quote from the article: But I think this will bring an interesting situation and I wonder what Disney will do in response. If they will keep to the original release schedule it means everyone who really wants to see this movie NOW has only 1 option. It isn't in the cinema anymore and there is no legal way to watch the movie. This again leads into the debate that often the legal ways of watching the movie are so much more troublesome then the illegal ways that it's not weird people pirate these movies. Personally, I hope Disney will respond by releasing the movie for legal download earlier (as soon as possible) so people who do want to see it legally have at least a choice now, but I don't expect this to happen. What I do expect is we will be seeing a lot of lawsuit threats over this which only means even more media attention and therefore even more people aware of the fact you can already download this movie. How do you guys think they should handle this?

Hello, I use iTunes as the main music player on my MBP. Lately I noticed that not all tracks from a particular album are displayed. The tracks that are "missing" still play fine (when i click to listen to an album it plays all the tracks on the album. I just can't see the bottom tracks.) I don't know if this is relevant but my iTunes library is located on external storage. For example: the image below is what i see in iTunes. As you can see the album appears to have 11 tracks. It has 18 tracks however. (the issue is not limited to this album in particular. A lot of albums in my library seem to be like this) How can I solve the issue?

I have been looking around for a remote control software that allows full access to itunes not just what is shared in itunes from my library or access to just the media controls. What I am trying to do is set up itunes/apple music on my server box and allow anyone that has access to it on my network to be able to do what they want from creating playlists, changing tracks, searching apple music. The idea is to use vban on voicemeeter to stream it to various devices on my network essentially to create a whole home audio jukebox that users can alter. I already have vban and itunes going on my machine but that means if someone wants to do anything to the playlist they need to get on my machine which I don't want them to do. The only thing I can think about doing is maybe setting up a VM on my box installing itunes and voicemeeter on that then using vnc or something to take control of the machine. I really don't want to run a VM just to do this just to save on system resources. Does anyone have any other solutions that may work? Update: I ended up going the VM route as I couldn't find anything that allowed search in itunes. Everything I was able to find with search was for spotify or google music and since I already pay for Apple Music Family I didn't want to have to pay for another service just to do this. I set up Hyper-V on my Server2008 box using Win8.1 as a guest. Installed Voicemeeter Banana, VB-Audio Virtual Cable, iTunes, Teamviewer Host. VB-Audio Virtual Cable is acting as the speaker out for Voicemeeter as the VM doesn't have any audio devices. Teamviewer is set to accept incoming lan connections exclusively. Teamviewer portable is being served from my NAS with all the configurations set just to simplify it for everyone, all they need to do is open it connect and type the password to gain access to the "Jukebox" machine. Voicemeeter Setup Set Voicemeeter Input as your Default Audio Device Set A1 Hardware Out to the virtual audio cable. I had best results using KS: VB-Audio Point Enable VBAN turn on the first outgoing stream, Source: BUSA1, set a stream name, Set ip to 192.168.1.255(this will depend on your network but setting the last digit to 255 will allow anyone to pick up the stream), Sample Rate: 4100Hz(This is the default sample rate of the virtual audio cable) To Recive audio on your machine use voicemeeter banana or VBAN-Receptor In Voicemeeter banana open VBAN, Enable VBAN, set an incoming stream to on, Stream name should be the same as you entered on the VM(case sensitive), Enter ip of the sending machine, and set the destination to Virtual in #1 or #2 I have not used VBAN-Receptor on my PC yet but have on my phone, all you need to do is set the stream name and the ip.

My father recently updated his iTunes to the latest version and it will not start anymore. Running as an administrator doesn't help We tried restarting about twenty times ("Did you turn it off and on again?" "Yes.") We tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes about five times We made a new user account on the PC and it will not start there either The 32-bit version doesn't work either. Tried booting in Safe Mode Tried booting in Safe Mode with Networking (to download another version of iTunes) Going back to previous versions of iTunes doesn't help The narcissistic Apple support dicks think he should get a whole new PC. Any ideas?

Hi all, firstly I am no Apple guy here since I always used Android (Except for iPod touch) so I need some help. Someone gave me an iphone 5 (since I am waiting for my LCD+Digitalizer Combo of my Xperia) that didn't charged well so when i looked at the socket there was dirt, eww. So in the phone there was nothing ( like new) but when i looked at the configuration it had the apple ID. The Apple ID doesn't have the password so I can replace it with my like 5 year ago Apple ID but it asks for the password. I can't talk to the person now but I have tried restoring it but it says to update the iphone and I just updated it yesterday . I really need some help with this, if I choose update and restore it has like a 2 GB File to download. There's a little problem, itunes is x75 slower downloading stuff than my Download manager so, well. This is about to trigger me tho. Thanks in advance (BTW I have a Windows PC so, no Mac. Andddd, I am doing it via the Download mode like the iTunes and the cable mode.)
