Hello about 6 months ago I opened a gaming youtube account however it was shortlived as it was banned not too long after. To this day I still don't have a clear answer why my account was permanently banned. The videos I had posted was just me playing Borderlands The Pre-Sequel however with the game audio muted because of all the content id stuff on youtube and an running commentary from me. I've run youtube channels before and there all still good standing today. My only difference is that on this channel I created custom thumbnails to try and add a few more viewers and look more professional. All I did was take a picture off Google of the game from the trailer as I made it before the game was released.I then added the games logo and the words playthrough pt.x in a similar font to the games. After checking youtube's copyright page o still don't have an answer. Can anybody help me out? And I apologise is this isn't the correct place to post this.

I have an iPhone 5C now... going to get a new phone soon. My dad is really annoying about Apple but I still really want an Android device (Shield is great). He said something about off-contract so I told him about the One Plus One. If any of you have had experiences with customer service from One Plus, then I would love to hear about it. My dad said that he gets Apple phones because he can easily get them repaired. I want to convince him that the One Plus is better. Thanks.

Nobody likes malware, and it's nice to see that Google is fighting for an malware-free android platform. TL;DR: Google has stepped up their game on removing harmful malware on their Android and Chrome platforms. Harmful apps installed has dropped 50% Only 1% of Android devices has in 2014 had a harmful application Google has released a 44-report with more details, and hope to make that report 150-pages long next year. Google engineers has disabled nearly 200 harmful extensions in Chrome, which had effected roughly 14 million users Sources: http://www.theverge.com/2015/4/2/8327887/google-android-malware-report-2014-webview

There have been a few rumors stirring in the ol' rumor mill as to which vendor Google will choose for its next Nexus smartphone, this time LG is in the limelight as new details surface from gadget leakers over at Nowhereelse.fr. Recently Sony and Chinese handset maker Huawei have taken their turn as the rumored next in line for the Nexus smartphone provider, in which both companies have yet to add their name to the roster of Google smart phones. In 2014 google along with Motorola rolled out the Nexus 6 which was its first attempt at making a flagship priced premium built smartphone with its 6 inch construction, metal chassis, and dual front facing speakers, was a stark change from the mid-tier offerings that previous generation Nexus phones had to offer. What could LG bring to the table that the previous Nexus manufactures haven’t? How will they differentiate it themselves from previous generations? Well the details have emerged about alleged upcoming LG G4 and G4 note smart phones which point to a possible Nexus variant. Much like the Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 they will be basing the new Nexus phone directly off of one of their existing flagships. Previously the LG Optimus G and The LG G2 stood as the base design platform for the Nexus 4 and 5, so much the same could be said about the G4/G4 Note. A 5.7 inch curved flexible display surrounded by a chassis of either metal or plastic (details are fuzzy about that) and a 16 Megapixel camera. Details about the CPU configuration are still up in the air though 3 GB or more of ram are very likely seeing as many flagship smart phones have at least 2 GB nowadays. Possibly the biggest addition to the next rumored Nexus smartphone is the inclusion of the stylus which would put it had that with Samsung’s galaxy Note line of smart phones. This would continue Google’s phablet phone trend in which the Nexus 6 began. This coincides with recent rumors of multi window application support that is baked into future versions of android in which having a stylus would greatly improve usability and multitasking. What are my thoughts exactly? I do find it a bit odd that if this rumor is true Motorola won’t have the opportunity to release a follow-up to the Nexus 6, seeing how LG and Samsung both released two Nexus smartphones each respectively. I personally feel that Motorola has the best design language of any smartphone company at the moment only to tie with HTC for build quality meanwhile LG and Samsung have continued to release flagship phones with subpar build quality and made from cheap materials. While Motorola and HTC have refined their world class smartphones to precision, leaving other handset vendors in what seems to be the Stone Age. TL;DR Basically if LG decides to release this phone as a flagship device and it has subpar build quality not only will it turn me away from LG smartphones it may turn me against my love of the Nexus brand. Thoughts?

Problem: My google search seems to be limited to only searching for "internet" and "images". I don't get the other options. The problem occurs when using both google.com and the omnibox with google as search engine. The same thing happens when using google in internet explorer, but doesn't seem to happen when using Firefox. I've attached a picture showing what it looks like. Things i've tried so far: I've tried to clear browserdata in google chrome. I've reset settings in google chrome. I've fully scanned my computer. Edit: So i've been suggested to do the following: Use google.com instead Disable Extension However the problem still occurs

While I applaud the initiative these companies are taking, we have to admit that this is all just a load of nonsense to look good in the public eye. Government spying is a reality of civilization. Was before, is now, will be for the eons to come. These guys aren't going to stop just because you sent Obama a strongly worded letter about it. They'll keep doing it, they'll shuffle it under some new agency with three letters that no one knows about. Companies do this to save their face, naive consumers eat it up as if it actually means anything. http://thenextweb.com/insider/2015/03/26/google-joins-apple-microsoft-and-others-to-call-for-mass-surveillance-reform/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+TheNextWeb+%28The+Next+Web+All+Stories%29

So, I did a google search, and found nothing that can satisfactorily answer this problem. Whenever I open Google Chrome, under any circumstances, it hangs for about 10 seconds before I am able to do ANYTHING. As someone with a near $1500 PC, I find this completely unacceptable. I have tried: -uninstall and reinstall -clearing cache data -clearing temp files -checking "allow hardware acceleration -clearing browser history -disabling plugins What really pisses me off the most, is that when I first installed Chrome, it was fast, as fast as I remember Firefox being before that whole "won't travel to www.google.com bug I encountered". And yet, after a certain length of time (after both installations of chrome) it starts hanging up opening it. And yeah, I know, 5 seconds isn't really a big deal, but it's f**king annoying as hell sometimes. Especially considering the amount that I use my computer each day (roughly.....90% of the time I am awake?). Am I the only one that gets this problem, even with a "high end" machine? I'm beginning to consider switching back to Firefox, I just worry about that stupid bug I had where when I try to go to google, I get an error page that says "travel to webpage halted" or something, basically Firefox saying "fuck you, I don't want to go to www.google.com", which I have encountered on two computers. Thoughts? Can we get some of the forums uber-nerds in on this? I'm not asking about this just for myself, I'm asking for anyone else who has this problem, feel free to post your own attempted/failed fixes etc.

The head of Google’s X division has explained why the company chose to abandon the steering wheel in its self-driving cars, claiming that humans are particularly in emergency situations, during a talk at SXSW this week. Astro Teller said that during the company’s tests, they found that motorists had learned to trust the on-board systems in the self-driving cars and as a result, lost focus during journeys and would be less prepared to take control in the event of a system failure or some form of emergency. teller said that drivers already took part in distracting activities, like texting, while fully operating a vehicle but once control was handed over to a computer system, drivers had even less reason to pay attention to the road. The result of Google’s extended test apparently “wasn’t pretty”. So it seems that people are too quick to trust the computer controlled systems inside of the self-driving car, which resulted in from the driver. A new Nexus 6 (for now) feature was just released, the device can now use the accelerometer to intelligently judge if the phone is in your hand or pocket so you won't have to enter a pin to unlock, it will know if you set your phone on a table for example and it will enable the pin. This is of course configurable and optional, just in case you don't want to give up security for convenience. Other smart lock features such as trusted places/devices which will disable or enable your lock screen based on proximity to a set location or for example a smart watch or other Bluetooth devices, which were released with Lollipop 5.0. Google is also rumored to be working on adding native biometric scanning into Android very soon which is a very exciting bit of news and will make phone security better and even more secure on the Android platform. Thoughts?

Boeing is hoping to reach a deal to build communications satellites for top tech companies such as Google, Amazon, Facebook, or Apple. These companies want to expand internet access around the world in order to achieve more customers and these satellites could help them do it. Jim Simpson, vice president of business development and chief strategist for Boeing Network and Space Systems, said: Reuters reported that 70% of the world still lacks internet access which is a huge amount of people that could be using top tech company's services. The report also mentioned that SpaceX is planning to build 4,000 satellites to go in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) for global internet connectivity. Boeings satellites are planned to be in Geosynchronous Orbit (GEO) meaning they they rotate the same speed as the earth which would be a higher-end version of SpaceX's satellite system. So tell me what you guys think of satellite internet? I think it is a direction that the world should be moving in order to be less dependent on infrastructure in the ground which, I feel, is going to become an inferior technology in the coming years. How would this compare to Google Fiber and its Gigabit internet speeds? If this can yields speeds faster than Fiber I think this is certainly the way of the future. The article did mention that its success would be heavily dependent on the demand for the large tech company's services continuing to grow or else there would be no incentive for them to invest so much money in these satellites. Just imagine being anywhere in the world and having lightning faster internet connection via satellites in the sky. Sounds like a pretty good future to me. Live stream from Mount Everest anyone? Its about time another luxury watch company stepped into the game with a smart watch based off a watch that you probably would wear. No offence to everyone else, but your smart watches are several grades of ugly and poor. Tag, since they are basing theirs off the Carrera above, will win by default. And you aren't even going to argue that point so don't even start. This is great news though. A proper watch maker taking their design and someone elses tech to make a watch that you can actually wear without feeling like you have something bulky and "techy" strapped to your wrist. You want smart watches to be accepted by the public? You start selling them like normal watches and let the magic happen on its own. http://www.pocket-lint.com/news/133247-tag-heuer-confirms-google-and-intel-partnerships-for-first-luxury-android-wear-smartwatch-by-end-of-2015 This post has been promoted to an article

Hi guys! Today I will be teaching you how to Root, unlock Boot Loader and finally FLASH your phone to include the Cyanogenmod 12 OS! HOLY SHIT <------------- I see you writing that comment, or maybe not, but before you start screaming that it's impossible that CM 12 could have been released for a low end phone like this, I will say.... THIS IS WORKING! _________________________________________________________________________ Now, why am I doing this? I got a Xperia GO few days aGO (get it?) and I went to tinker with it and found that installation of CM 12 is possible and that indeed, it will make your phone fly. Now I was stuck on the 4.0 Build Ice Cream Sandwich which sucks so much on this phone, and wanted to change it. I will guide you step by step on how to install CM 12 on the GO... Now, this procedure may or may not work with other phones, but the firmware I will be flashing my phone with is specifically built for the GO model... Just go to Google and find an another tutorial depending on what phone you get, I found that this phone is quite popular, so I decided to do something good for teh sake of LTT. To find out what is CyanogenMod go to: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/About _________________________________________________________________________ 1. Preparation and before we start For this install you will need a handy computer, USB to USB mini cable included with your phone, drivers for establishing a connection with your phone on the PC, and a Mini SD memory Card (or whatever external interface of memory your phone supports)... This tutorial will also show you how to root and unlock the boot loader on your device, which will void your warranty. BEFORE YOU EVEN START FULLY CHARGE THE DEVICE. DO AT YOUR OWN RISK, I'M NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE DONE TO YOUR DEVICE _________________________________________________________________________ 2. Rooting your device You got that? Okay. Detailed steps for this part of the install are here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-u/go-development/how-to-root-xperia-t2336242 I will sum it up for you Before you start: - make sure u have installed ADB drivers for ur device - enable "USB DEBUGGING" from (Menu\Settings\Applications\Development) - enable "UNKNOWN SOURCES" from (Menu\Settings\Applications) - connect USB cable to PHONE and then connect to PC using a mentioned cable On the link ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ above the download link for the DooMlord's Easy Rooting Toolkit V14 is included Download it. Now: - Extract Easy rooting toolkit on pc. - Connect your phone to pc. - Open Runme.bat - Wait until finished - Reboot your phone then your PC. YOU SHOULD BE ROOTED ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 3. Unlock your BOOT LOADER This is different for every device itself, so please look at the video for further instructions. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 4. INSTALL Clockwork Mod Recovery. This will help you easily install CM 12 on your Xperia GO. Go to this link and download the files: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-u/go-development/cwm-cwm-recovery-6-0-1-2-locked-t2020891 Sum up: - Download the zip package - Extract the folder - Connect your phone to the pc with USB debugging - Click on install.bat - Wait 'till it's done, close. 5. We're getting close! Download the ROM from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-u/go-development/rom-cyanogenmod-12-0-t3013681 Download Google Apps files from the same link. Transfer them to an SD card you acquired earlier using a connected USB cable. Successfully transferred? Good. Switch of your Xperia phone. When the phone turns on, and when it comes to an SONY logo keep holding the volume down (-) button until you get into Clockwork Mod recovery. Choose "wipe data/ factory reset" option then erase the cache with an other option listed called "wipe cache partition". Also erase dalvik cache by going to advanced and scrolling down until you see it. Chose option "install ZIP from SD card" and choose option "Choose zip from SD card", then navigate firstly to the CM 12 Download and wait until installed, then navigate to the GApps after CM 12 has been installed. 6. Enjoy! Thanks for viewing tutorial, if it helped please share it, if you need any help please post a comment or PM me!

Project to deliver wireless internet access via unmanned drone aircraft OK'd by US federal governmentGoogle has been given the green light by the FCC to start testing of their solar-powered Titan drones, which will be used to beam down Wi-Fi to whatever region Google (and potentially other companies) wants to provide with internet access, such as natural disaster areas or sporting events. Google is taking its biggest step yet into the world of bricks-and-mortar retail. On Wednesday, the Internet giant opened its first branded store in London, which is being used to showcase a range of Google products, including Chromebooks, Android phones and Chromecast dongles Unlike the Apple Store, however, the Google store is really a store within a store. In this case, it's housed inside of is Currys PC World, a UK electronics retailer. Google previously launched an in-store experience at the same UK retailer in 2011, solely for the purpose of marketing its Chromebook laptops. The shop announced Wednesday is a much more scaled-up retail experience. As you might expect from Google, it is filled with plenty of geeky playfulness, including an interactive Google Earth installation and a large "doodle wall." Medical technology is advancing so fast, that a partner in Google’s investment department believes that as long as we can live for another 20-30 years, we’ll be able to make it to the ripe old age of 500 without too much difficulty. His reasoning? The ultra fast development of new medical technology, some of which he believes, will make current techniques and procedures look rudimentary within just a few years. said the venture capitalist and Google investor, Bill Marris, who is sitting on a near half billion dollar fund that he’s looking to invest on behalf of Google’s venture capital branch. Although Google has a vested interest in healthcare and brought Maris on to help spearhead development in that area of science, his interest goes far further than that. He’s a trained neuroscientist with experience working in a biomedical lab at Duke University and he thinks that the next 20 years are going to see us break through into whole new regions of medicine that will reshape the world entirely. Considering this guy is 40 years old, he must be doing something right Indeed Google has investments in nearly 300 startups and will put another $425 million into new and existing partners this year alone, making it one of the biggest investment firms in the world. As has been pointed out though, it’s not doing it for the money, but for an insight into where the world of bio-mechanical technology is going. Maris believes that we’re moving towards a world of nanobots and customised medicine, whereby treatment is personalised to you as the patient, rather than the catchall prescription approach we use today. Google wants to do more than just fund this development though, it wants to help the startups of today and tomorrow develop their products. In its partnership with some fitness application companies, Google helps streamline the technology and make it more user friendly, which in turn helps improve uptake and the amount of time people stick with the software. The plan for now is to keep pushing the boundaries of what Google and its partners can achieve. And of course, last long enough to see it. if google hypothetically had a way to do this and in the process needs to know everything about you there is and ever will be to live for 500 years, will you be taking the offer ? VR specific Android? Say it ain't so, but it seems like its going to be a thing. While I don't particularly agree with the idea that we're going to have yet another version of Android that Google won't maintain beyond giving it out to OEMs, i do think its a good idea that Google look at Androids usability as it stands and see if they can improve the VR experience of the OS. http://www.androidpolice.com/2015/03/07/report-google-has-assigned-engineers-to-build-a-version-of-android-just-for-virtual-reality/

Google is starting off their test run of being a wireless carrier by launching their service for Nexus devices. I think for something thats going to be a trial run, its not a bad approach to see how well it could work. IMO, they should open this for ALL Nexus devices, I wager theres plenty of those out there all over the place to help test a network but maybe they'll start phasing in additional devices as time goes on before becoming a bonafide carrier for anyone. http://gizmodo.com/youll-need-a-nexus-6-to-enjoy-googles-new-wireless-serv-1689843590
