Hi guys. I just wondering if the G.Skill memory brand is good and reliable? I am now using Kingston memory and planning to upgrade to 32gb. And I want to know if who is the OEM of G.Skill dram chips? Thank you.

I have build new system less then year back with, Z170A-PRO, i5-6500 and G.Skill 8GB DDR4 RAM. Everything was working properly until i removed my old graphics card and connected monitor to on board vga port and got 'No Signal' error. Thereafter done all the troubleshooting, but has nothing worked. Update: Also replaced new RAM and still there is no display on the motherboard.Only two possibilities left now: 1)Faulty Motherboard (40% chance) : Getting no beeps on board when turning it on and also no signal on display too. Processor fan is spinning. If i remove RAM stick it gives RAM error beep. 2) Faulty Processor : I bought this i5 6500 less than year ago, and there was no incident of power spike/display error or any other sign of faulty processor. Also motherboard is not giving CPU error beeps/LED now. I am really not sure whether it is really a faulty CPU. Checked pins, all seems f9. The another issue here is that, service center guys don't have spare processor to check on my motherboard. And also i don't have it. Any ideas what can i do..?

I currently am running 4GB's of 1333 Mhz ram on a ASUS M5A97 R2.0, with an AMD FX-8320 CPU. and have a clear ram deficiency in most games I play. Do I have to follow the memory qualified vendors list to a T? or can I use something with the same timings, speeds, voltages etc..? I found a pretty decent deal based on the speeds and amount of ram for Canadian prices. (link here)-> https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... This RAM also is low profile, which I need in case I want to buy more to fit under my Hyper 212 Evo CPU cooler. Also this RAM is aesthetically pleasing since it matches the blue color theme of my build. My current budget for RAM is $100 maybe $120 Canadian. Let me know what you think, is this viable? I hope to hear some feedback, Thanks.

I have a G.Skill K780R keyboard with the software made for it http://www.gskill.com/en/download/view/ripjaws-km780-km780r-mx---mechanical-gaming-keyboard I accidentally left a macro recording while doing something else, and it crashed the software. I tried closing it and reopening it, and it crashed. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software and it still wouldn't open Does anyone know where the profiles are stored or an alternative software I could use?

So browsing on these forums I've picked up a lot of new software to check up on my PC and have been trying to fine tune a stable overclock (spoiler alert: there isn't one for my 4930k, it appears I lost the silicon lottery, can't even hold 4.4Ghz at 1.4v and anything less would just be a waste of time) Anyway, to get to the heart of my question. I have 16Gb of G.skill Ripjaw DDR3 1600mhz memory on my Asus P9X79 LE motherboard along with a r9 380x, 2 solid state drives and 2 HDD's. All powered by my 850W thermaltake PSU (definitely overkill but I got a good break on it when I was working at BestBuy) When I open CPU-Z and go to the memory tab it says that my DRAM frequency is 666.6 MHz. I checked my bios and its set to run at its native 1666. Sort of just confused by the situation. Its not like it actually effects my gaming performance but certainly is a puzzle. From what I can tell this is the RAM I have in my computer http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231313&cm_re=gskill_ripjaw_ddr3-_-20-231-313-_-Product If not that, then something extremely similar. I appreciate any help, and advice I receive, just in hopes of bettering my PC knowledge.

Hey guys, So I've got a bit of an issue right now. I Upgraded from an FX-6300 to an i5-6600k and decided to go for 16 GB of memory this time. Everything was working fine until recently when I found out that my pc is only detecting 8 GB out of 16 GB. My motherboard is a Gigabyte Z170 Gaming 3 with 16 GB of G.Skill Ripjaws DDR4. I hope these pics help: Slot #1: https://gyazo.com/7ee624f7b18cbcf52bd44fb3923be79a Slot #2: https://gyazo.com/2a288f593b702233d21cd3d3e6711812 Any suggestions on possible fixes are greatly appreciated!

Right now am working on my build, and some one suggested the G.Skill trident Z but after looking at my mother bored options and deciding to change the color theme, to white and ice blue, now am looking into changing the ram for something cheaper, and I've found 2 others https://pcpartpicker.com/product/4n648d/gskill-tridentz-series-16gb-2-x-8gb-ddr4-3200-memory-f4-3200c16d-16gtzkw and https://pcpartpicker.com/product/Vn648d/corsair-vengeance-led-16gb-2-x-8gb-ddr4-3200-memory-cmu16gx4m2c3200c16 now I don't know any small differences between these two that a normal person may not notice, so i just need a deciding factor, i do like the vengeance has a blue led option or white, witch either could work great, while the Trident is just alitlte bland, but i might be a better choice, I dont know

I have recently decided to upgrade my RAM from 16-32. My old RAM is this: G.SKILL Ripjaws 4 Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3000 (PC4 24000) Desktop Memory Model F4-3000C15Q-16GRR I recently bought this stick set: G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3000 (PC4 24000) Intel Z170 Platform Desktop Memory Model F4-3000C15Q-32GVRB However, when I install the new kit, nothing. System kicks on, but black screen, no boot menu. Fans are running, everything is seated properly, no dice. This is a set supported per MSI website for my MOBO - MSI X99S SLI Krait Edition LGA 2011-v3 Intel X99 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard While the current chipset on the new RAM states a z170 platform, it is validated for x99 per MSI again. So I am at a loss as to what is happening. I have done all the troubleshooting I know how to regarding this, but I am at a loss. any help would be greatly appreciated. Clearing the Cmos does nothing, placing in old sticks with these for boot purposes does nothing, one at a time does not work.

I decided to upgrade to X99, got myself the Asus Strix X99 Gaming, a used 5820K and 2x8 2400MHz G.Skill Trident Z RGB all good and fine, everything working, installed fresh Windows 10 since I moved a chipset, and I downloaded Aura 1.04.29 from the official drivers downloads from Asus, only to discover that my RAM is not showing, I programmed my RGB on the motherboard. a little digging and I saw the beta program from G.Skill, thought well at least I can sync them between softwares, I saw a PDF file that explains how to enable the control on X99 mobos via the bios (something with Dram Timing enabled) after that was done, I check Aura again, still nothing, I installed the G.skill program, working nice, then I went back to Aura now the damn thing crashes! ok.. tried uninstalling G.Skill and Aura, reinstalled Aura only, NOW ONLY THE DRAM SHOWS ON AURA?! NO MOBO? omg and to think they worked on these softwares together? anyone has a fix for me?

Hello, has anybody tried this memory: G.SKILL RipjawsV DDR4 32GB (4x8GB) 3200MHz, CL16 F4-3200C16Q-32GVK in this motherboard: MSI B350m Gaming Pro (obviously only two sticks)? They are not oficially compatible, so I wanted to check before trying myself.

Hi, so i'm building a pc with a G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2x8gb) 2400mhz with a GA-Z170X-Gaming 7 motherboard, and i just saw the sale on the GA-Z170X-Gaming 7 which they give a G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 8GB 2400mhz for free. I was thinking on buying the motherboard on amazon because is $10 cheaper. So should i go for it? I don't know if 24gb of ram will be overkill or if i need it.

My current machine is an Intel 3570k @ 4.6GHz, 16GB of DDR3, 512GB 850 Pro SSD, and a GTX 1070. The Power Supply, Video Card, and Storage will be reused in the new machine. MSI X370 GAMING PRO CARBON AM4 AMD RYZEN 5 1600X 6-Core 3.6 GHz (4.0 GHz Turbo) Socket AM4 G.SKILL TridentZ Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3600 (PC4 28800) Corsair Hydro Series H110i Extreme Performance AIO This will all be dropped into a case that I won at an auction for 18 dollars. So the new home for my new PC will be a Corsair Carbide 330R Titanium Edition, although the side panel is a windowed side panel... I don't think that is original. Parts are arriving by COB on Thursday... I will have the weekend to build. In a couple of weeks the last part will be ordered, an additional ZOTAC GTX 1070 AMP! Edition.

Hi, I am pretty new at memory overclocking and therefore am not too sure about how to get my G.Skill 2x8GB 3000mhz C16 kit as high as I can on my 1600X ryzen system with ASUS X370 PRO motherboard, this has the newest 604 Bios, so far I have got the following setup and am not sure how to push memory speeds further: Ryzen 5 1600X @ 4Ghz 1.39v G.Skill Trident Z RGB CL16 3000Mhz 2x8GB @ 2400 16-18-18-38-18 ~ 1.375V ASUS X370 Prime PRO BIOS: 604 SOC @ 1.1v

Hello. I am finalizing my Ryzen build( https://pcpartpicker.com/list/DFjFM8 ) and the final piece I am unsure of is memory. I am really interested in the rgb kits since most of the other components are rgb. The kits I have rounded up are the: Corsair Vengeance RGB PC24000/3000MHz CL15 4x8GB=308$USD G.Skill TridentZ RGB PC25600/3200Mhz CL16 4x8Gb=394$USD G.Skill TridentZ RGB PC25600/3200Mhz CL14 4X8Gb=583$USD What I am wondering about is, will I notice any difference in performance with the different kits since there is the speed difference and the cas latency differences. If I missed something just ask and thank you in advance for taking your time!

Hi. I am building my first computer and have decided to get a ryzen 1700 for streaming and gaming mostly but video/photo editing when I'm not streaming. The plan was to get G.skill rgb PC25600/3200MHz CL14 4x8Gb, but then I see it costs 106 Usd more than Corsair Vengeance RGB PC240000/3000Mhz CL15 4x8Gb. Is the difference in cas latency and 200MHz worth 106 Usd? Will I notice any significant differences? Thank you in advance.

I just bought an ASUS ROG Maximus IX Hero motherboard today, and I'm interested in installing a G.Skill Trident Z RGB 3000MHz - 16GB (8GBx2) on it. I'm confident about it, until I'm told about it's not on ASUS official memory vendor list. Vendor list: http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1151/MAXIMUS_IX_HERO/MAXIMUS-IX-HERO_Z270-6L_memory_QVL.pdf?_ga=1.15581875.464414314.1481469120 G.Skill Trident Z RGB: https://www.gskill.com/en/product/f4-3000c15d-16gtzr I'm told that there's only a 50/50 chance it's going to work since it's not on the list, but I can try. The RAM kit itself is expensive, and I'm buying it for both cosmetics and it's performance. I would like to ask the forum about the compability, and if anyone actually tried this setup. I'm just a newb to PC building, and this is my first build. So guys, please help me! Thanks in advance!

so I just got my G.Skill TridentZ RGB memory yesterday 2x8Gb 3000MHz and installed it in my system which has an Asus Z170-AR, 6700k and gtx 980. I installed the g.skill software and everything worked great but now after I bootup my computer 1 of the sticks keeps doing the default rainbow and wont be controlled. if I set the other to default then reboot the system they are not synced. Is there anything I can do to fix this issue? I've tried flip flopping which module is in which ram slot and reinstalling the g.skill software.

so i just finished building my new itx ryzen 7 1800x system with the new biostar x370gtn motherboard. runs great so far. but i havent been able to get above stock 2133mhz memory frequenzy. i'm using a 32gb kit of gskill ripjaws 5 3200mhz. i know that i wouldn't be able to hit that top speed until more bios updates and refinements came out, but i at least wanted to see what it could do.. i tried several different speeds at several different voltages. each time ended in a boot loop until it reset the bios (and my fan curve >:| ). i am using the latest bios. i haven't poked around with timings yet, as i'm not too good with memory tuning. i know that i can't hit 3200mhz. but i got it thinking that in the future the memory issues would get fixed, and i could get more performance over time by upping the speed each time. any help is appreciated. thanks.

Hi guys! Noob question here - I have an MSI Z170 Krait paired with an i5-6600k and I'm planning to get my second DDR4 Kit from G.Skill before prices suddenly bump up and I'm wondering if it will be compatible. I was looking at the MSI memory support list here and I'm not sure if they support two of the Trident Z 8GB(4GBx2) 3200MHz kit. I was basing my assumption on the check marks on the MSI memory support list where only had 2 checks. I don't know if I'm just reading it wrong since the table they made was not that good because the check marks could be confused with either being 1&2 or 2&4 - they could've added more columns instead. Will two similar kits like this work with XMP and still run at 3200MHz or will they go back to 2133MHz if they don't work? or should I scrap this and save up for a Quad Channel kit instead?
