Installed new set of RAM (G.Skill Trident Z Neo 3600 Cl16 2x16Gb) and have enabled XMP profile on my mobo/bios, then checked task manager and its still running at 2133. Not sure if task manager is a valid way to check speed and if I'm even setting my Ram speeds correctly, but id like to use it to its specified capabilities. RAM is installed in slots 1 and 3, not sure if that's any use. Lemme know if I'm being dumb or if you've got any fix to this please, in need of assistance! Thanks heaps! Hi, to whoever is being afflicted by this (as myself), a dude found the solution. Show some love to: CREDITS TO THIS GUY YT VIDEO (its in spanish tho) Disclaimer: Do at your own risk, as this is flashing your device it could brick it completely. (I really doubt it but I wont take any responsability lol) Step 1: Download HyperX_eeprom.zip Step 2: Go to device manager Look under audio devices "Microphone (USB Advanced Audio Device)" Step 3: Right click said device --> Properties --> Details --> Select in "Property" dropdown "Primary" option. Get VID and PID. Probably are the same as image below (0d8c and 016c respectively, but would check yours anyway just in case) Step 4: Uncompress HyperX_eeprom.zip Open HyperX_config.exe Fill the data (and if you get an error of not found, connect it to USB 2.0, I had that error and that solved it) Step 5: Once you hit "Connect" and it does connect properly, just in case, select EEPROM -> FILE to backup your current state. Step 6: Once backup is done. Select File -> EEPROM and select whichever *.bin file corresponde to your device. (HyperX_QuadCast.bin for normal version - RED only light or HyperX_QuadCast_S_(RGB).bin for the S version, which is RGB) Once done, It will prompt a reconnect. Aaaand thats it, enjoy your device again.

Hello everyone! I’ve recently recovered from a company an old Cinema Display 20” with a not functioning power adapter. Now, the Apple A1096 power adapter has this specs: 65W, 24.5V, 2.65A. I can’t find anywhere here in Italy or EU eBay listings a used one at a reasonable price, so I’ve been thinking to adapt a common power adapter to the Cinema Display, and I found some models with these specs: 65W, 24V, 2.7A. …worth the shot? Please help =) Thank you! -Ivan

I have a Gigabyte Aorus b450 wifi pro that I used for a while with an AMD 3700x and 4x8(32Gb) of RAM. I recently decided to upgrade some parts and one of them was the CPU to a 5800x, well I did the BIOS update not knowing that it could create issues of incompatibility for the RAM if I did not install the EC FW Tool prior to the BIOS update. I tried installing it afterward but had no success since it keeps failing the install. Now I can only use 2 DIMMs at a time for some reason. My only solution at the moment is to downgrade the BIOS to a previous version and with an old CPU install the darn tool and after that upgrade the BIOS once more and finally install the 5800x to make work the RAM (trying to avoid that solution if possible). Any suggestions??!!

I was recording a video and suddenly my computer turned off, which interrupted the recording and the file got corrupted. How can I fix it, at least so that I can watch part of the recording? I recorded the video format in MP4 using OBS. It shows that the movie takes up 14 GB, so it's a lot and something has definitely been saved. Used video repair programs Tenorshare 4ddig and AnyMP4 video repair.

So my friend has a Sapphire Tri-X R9 390X and his gpu broke 1 year ago and he bought a another one but it broke as well and now he needs one for now for games such as cs2 Fortnite and more. And we where thinking should we try it again and see if it works .I installed it and it posted and i installed drivers and it worked passed benchmarks and seemed good. Until we were testing Fortnite for 2 hours and then it just was a black screen last things what i saw were 62c on the gpu and 55 on cpu 100%gpu usage and 96% on Cpu .And then there was just a black screen and nothing no sound or nothing. Then restarted the pc and it was crashing about 15-20min i thought it was a thermal issue bc the fan curve was nuts it was idling at 51c and 60% fan speed but when i googled the tdp of the r9 390x it was 250w so i was thinking it was fine for the fan curve. And when i got it to the login screen then i logged in and underclocked the Gpu and put a Msi Kombuster at 720p high settings and seemed fine .And the next day my friend told the pc was working but when he was playing Fortnite it crashed. So now i was thinking with my friend should we try repasting the card bc the card was made in 2015 maybe the thermal paste was dried up and just thermal throttling and crashed but the clock speeds stable and everything was working so there is nothing to lose if the thermal paste doesnt do anything then my friend is gonna sell it or just throw it away. I am going to his place this Sunday so i can give more infomation. Please help. There must be a way to let discord properly use my available upload speed to properly screen share. I have changed some settings in discord. I have discord nitro to allow me to set any stream quality and FPS, but no matter what it will fluctuate wildly. I'll see Best ~7Mb/s upload and Worst <1Mb/s. Nothing else will be using the Upload at that time. My upload can be up to ~20Mb/s based on speed tests, I would love to have a setting or something inside the app that sets the target upload speed in kB/s so that I can stop the complaints of broken sound or black and white blurs

So, I bought a Razer Blade Pro 17 (2019) (rz09-03148E13) about 7 1/2 months ago. It's a second hand on eBay but was taken really good care of. I don't think it was super heavily used because I've NOTICABLE worn it down physically since then. The track pad's surface has gotten worn from miles of finger tracking, the paint on grill for the front most bottom fan has started to come off leaving specks of silver unpainted metal, and a similar effect has occurred in the form of a bare metal colored ring pultruding about a mm out all around the charging port from the constant plugs and unplugs, and now one of the two side pins are broken off at the base of the plug. SO, I've found that this port is readily available online from 3rd party sellers (likely 3rd shift or reverse engineered work from a Chinese factory by the looks of it), and I'm gonna buy 2 (one for now, and another in case I need to replace the port again and it happens to be that we've started an international war with China in the meantime, and their manufacturing base has imploded leaving me with no parts). What I would like to know is how much longer can I reasonably expect to get out of this laptop at this point (assuming no accidents and discarding things like soldering on new ports)? Is it likely that I'm gonna develop a GPU or CPU fault in the next year or two? In other words, what usually kills these laptops beyond the point that it's economical to repair them? I should note, this is technically a business/prosumer laptop. I game on it, program on it, run CGI renders on it, etc. I have a backup laptop, but would like to "exit gracefully" while getting my money's worth out of it. What's my prognosis?

First time posting on the forum, not sure if I've categorized this correctly but looking for some help CPU | Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700K CPU @ 3.80GHz 3.79 GHz GPU | Aorus Master 4080 RTX 16 GB Mobo | Aorus Z460 Ultra RAM | 32.0 GB(2x16 GB) G.Skill Trident Z DDR4 PSU | Corsair RM 1000x 80 Plus Gold System | 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor Monitor | Samsung C49RG90 Cooler | Aorus 360 Liquid AIO Case | Corsair 4000D Airflow I been having this issue that when I play games, after my computer has been on for an hour or two (asleep / idle or running) my computer with lag for a brief second. The audio of whatever I'm doing keeps running but my video will freeze for a second. I have a frame counter and that dips when it happens too. I experience this with almost all of my games, even games without high demand like League or Hades. The longer my computer has been on the more frequently the freezes occur. I can fix it temporally by resetting my PC then going right back to what I was playing with out the freezes but it comes back after an amount of time and starts getting worse all over again. My temps stay in a good range and I haven't had issues with overheating. I've searched online for fixes but I haven't had much luck on anything as specific to the problem I'm dealing with. Its frustrating dealing with this especially during online play, any help with this would be amazing thank you!

When we put the GPU on the motherboard, it has this buzzing sound from the motherboard speaker and has no display even when we connect the HDMI to the motherboard. Then when we took out the GPU, the buzzing sound is gone from the speaker and there is a display. Still does it even though we put it back. Any solutions to this?

Hey, everyone! I've been having this issue for a while. As you can see in this video, whenever I pull the left analog stick up, it process it as walking, instead of running as it should. However, if pull it to the sides or down, it works properly. Sometimes it works fine for a few seconds if I pull it really hard. Do you know how is this called or how to fix it?

I bought my prebuilt in November. It ran incredibly at first, easily 200+ fps on games like MW2 etc. Recently the performance completely dropped, I cant even maintain 60 fps on lowest graphic settings. And these issues apply to every game, not just MW2. I even reset my PC to try and start over, but it didn’t fix anything. Can you guys please help me? I’ve done all the basic fixes and damn near every single solution I found on YouTube, with no luck. Specs listed below, any ideas/solutions appreciated

Hey everyone! I'm in a bit of a bind here and could really use some help. My PC is refusing to budge after a recent power outage. I'm rolling up my sleeves and trying to troubleshoot, but honestly, I'm feeling a bit lost. I've ruled out the power supply as the culprit – tested it on another rig, and it's working like a charm. Now, I've got my sights set on the motherboard. I attempted to kick-start it by briefly shorting the pins usually triggered by the power button (hope I'm using the right lingo), but sadly, no luck on the boot-up front. Any insights or guidance would be seriously appreciated My Specs: EX - H110M Intel Core i7-7700 16 GB Ram T-FORCE (TUF) RX580 Sata SSD CV 650

Hi everyone, first of all, thanks for being here reading my consult. I recently bought a pair of IEMs, to be precise, the KZ ZSX. I was playing Valorant and noticed something off with the sound; after a few tests, I discovered the issue. The sound playing at my character's back isn't audible, check the image in the spoiler below for reference. I've tried this on another pc, and the issue persists. Playing around with VoiceMeeter, I found an option that seems to fix the problem, but the thing is that I don't want to depend on it since other pcs I use don't have the software installed. Check the image below to see the VoiceMeeter option. Does someone knows how to fix it? Maybe it's configuration issue or user error but I ran out of ideas. Thanks in advance and sorry if my english sounds weird.

So I have a 64gb Samsung RAM and it's not working. I tried it on the computer and it didn't boot up. The RAM slots does work because my 16gb RAM works on it. I also cleaned the contacts and also inserted only one every time and still nothing. I was thinking of trying to reflow it, but I don't have an oven. I was also thinking of trying it on another motherboard, but the CPU slot contacts are bent.

Hi guys, so I own a 1080Ti by Palit, a non-reference version with open style heatsink. I'm having some wobbly fan on one side that's been bothering me a lot, so I'm planning to follow this LTT video. But I'm noob so i'd like to know more. So TLDR is that attaching some case fan could be a good solution for an open style heatsink. But is the optimal way to attach the fans to the chassis header? Would that be good enough for a fan control to tame the GPU?

SSD not detected what should be the problem I need help.
aldrin524 posted a topic in Troubleshooting
I have this SSD from the brand Ramsta, specifically the model R1S800120G and it does not work. I need help how to check it and repair it. I have attempted several troubleshooting steps, such as testing it on three different computers, using alternative power connection cables and SATA cables. I tried opening it and used a thermal scanner and this is what i found. -
Hi everyone, I’ve got an issue with my recently built pc and would appreciate some feedback / ideas on what might be wrong and how to fix it! 4-6 weeks ago I built a new pc (specs at the bottom) and have since run into a couple of issues: 1. after building, the pc kept constantly crashing right on startup (either login screen or directly after entering windows) - I managed to fix this by turning on „pcie bifurcation (8x/8x)“ in BIOS. 2. after this the computer usually booted fine and worked smoothly. However, it occasionally showed the same symptoms as on pcie 16x (freezing / crashing on startups) or instantly restarted during the boot process. These issues have increased significantly lately with every second start either doing this or even showing a grey / blue screen on startup. 3. In Addition, just a couple of days ago the middle and left fan of the gpu have stopped working. They neither spin themselves under load nor are addressable via the corresponding software. I was able to make them work again twice for a couple of minutes by un- and reslotting the card. Fixes I tried so for (to no avail): * updating os, drivers and software * deleting and reinstalling all fan control software and drivers * reinstalling windows * disconnecting and reconnecting all pcie cables * un- and reslotting the gpu Build / Specs: * gpu: RTX4090 Gigabyte Gaming OC * cpu: Intel i9-13900KF * ram: 64GB (2x32) G.Skill Trident Z Neo RGB DDR5-6000 CL30 * psu: GigaByte Aorus P1200W * mb: z790 GigaByte Aorus Master * ssd: 2x GigaByte Aorus NVMe Gen4 2TB Thanks for your help!

I've had this keyboard for a long time. so I decided to clean it, but when I came to remove my spacebar to clean it up, it pulled on of the stabilizers out, so if there is any way to fix it without having to buy a new stabilizer or using sketchy ways to fix it (supergluing / taping it), I would love to hear about it

I have been using my Monitor "AOC Q3279VWFD8" for a long while now for like 3-4 years or so and I started to notice this green tint appearing on my screen whenever It turns to fullscreen color black. It doesnt appear and I cant really see it when I am doing other things and its because i turned the brightness and contrast of my monitor very very low. (It protects me from eye strain so thats why I have my monitor set to brightness very low). But there is one thing that keeps bothering me. Is why the hell is the green tint always stuck to the fullscreen black color of my LCD screen and how do i fix it? What actually caused it and what I can do to prevent it? Here is the image of the green color appearing on the fullscreen black color of my LCD display which is turned to very high brightness. (But when it is at low brightness and I am browsing or playing games I rarely do see the green tints,It appears when the monitor is fullscreen black color or when its at very high brightness) Now any chance of getting rid of these annoying green tints or blobs on my screen? Thanks!
