So my brother wants me to help him building a PC. No problem for me, if it would have been an Intel rig. (BTW: no flame wars here). As I do not know practically anything about AMD, I will need your help. He intends to play games like Train Simulator, Cities:Skylines, CS:Go and and GTA V. The aim is to get Cities:Skylines and GTA V on a solid playable level in Full HD via HDMI and with High settings. I will give him my old TV as a monitor, OS-wise we will use a student program I do have access to. No further peripherals are required. As for a CPU cooler he will get an Thermaltake Contac 39 with one/two fan(s), which is lying around. The budget is 575 EUR. If it would have been in his budget, I first thought about an Intel build with following components: PSU: Corsair CX500 52,85 EUR RAM: Kingston Value RAM 2*4GB DDR4-2133 CL15 30,85 EUR SSD: SanDisk Plus 120GB SSD 38,85 EUR HDD: WD Blue @1TB 46,19 EUR Mainboard: MSI H110 PC Mate DDR4 ATX 73,50 EUR (cheaper one by ASUS which only concers me due to only having a 4-pin 12V-ATX-connector instead of 8-pins, which as far as I remember is BS if 4 or 8 in this case) or Asus H110-Plus DDR4 ATX 68,82 EUR CPU: Intel Core i5-6500 boxed 194,91 EUR GPU: Asus Radeon R9 380 Strix 4GB GDDR5 OC 199,94 EUR (after lot of research the Asus GTX 960 w/ 4 GB GDDR5 was kicked out due to low price/perfomance) Case: Raijnintek Arcadia Midi Tower 31,21 EUR (depends on the CPU cooler, may be changed) Front fan: be quiet! Pure Wings 2 120mm 6,39 EUR Price for the Intel Skylake build: 674,69 EUR It is nearly exact 100 EUR over his budget. And I had some trouble to figure out how many PCIe pins the GPU needs (6+2?), the power usage due to the R9 380 concerned me, which lead me to different PSU wattage calculators and let me to upgrade from a Corsair CX430M to a CX500. So we tried to create an AMD build with a similar perfomance. And again we stumbled upon high power usages of an only AMD build. FX-8350(?) 125W vs the i5-6500 <70W. Another question was and still is, if we should go for the R9 380 or the GTX 960 4GB, both by Asus Does anyone have suggestions for an AMD build with a perfomance next to an i5-6500? Therefore we would need another Mainboard and a different CPU of course, but by AMD. Furthermore we would re-evaluate the case as we will need a nice airflow in the case for the AMD heater system. The FX-6300 seemes quite good until I got my eyes on the 95W TDP and the i3-ish perfomance.... Thanks in regard.

So, this is a bit disconcerting. I'm not sure what to think about this. Especially considering the recent theft of 22 million security files from the "Office of Personnel Management". China is suspected to have been involved in that, but the administration declined to publicly blame them. Scary times we live in. Even more so when you consider that our elected officials basically have no idea how the internet works, or any knowledge of basic security principles. Here are some preferences and specs: MY BUDGET IS MAX 200€!!! 1. It must be: -1080p -60Hz -5 ms response time -bigger than 21,5" 2. It can also have: -speakers (i don't want to buy separate ones) -1440p (if it costs less than 200€, IDK) 3. Things I don't understand: -LED vs LCD

Hello LTT community, This is my first post. I think I have a final version of my parts-list for my first build. Here it is: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Aprendiz/saved/#view=B3Qkcf I'm thinking about getting my uncle that lives in NY to bring me almost all of the parts when he comes visit me in March. However, I am somewhat reluctant in adding the power supply to that list of goodies since I'm afraid it might not work or end up damaging other components, since in Europe we use 200-240V power inputs instead of 110V like in the US. So the real question is: would a power supply like the Corsair CX650X work in Europe if I used a correct power cable I have here laying around? Best regards from Portugal, Aprendiz PS: any improvements suggestions for the parts-list are appreciated

I wanted to buy the CM quickfire Rapid with red switches but it's only available in the US, then I went for the Ducky Shine 3 tenkyless and still can't find it anywhere in UK-EU. I'm left with the Razer Tournament edition which I don't want.. Can anyone recommend me any solid tenkeyless mechanical keyboard that is actually in EU or UK that doesn't have cheap MX switches?

So the other day i taught it would be nice to get an extra 7970 for my rig, since i am noticing some lag in games (not much but enough to piss me off ). I checked out my Ebay since its the only online marketplace i could think of that would have used hardware, but 90% of the sellers there are in the US so shipping costs as much or more then the card  Do you guys have any tips for where to shop used in Europe?

Hiya, I've been saving over the course of this year to get myself a nice gaming laptop, I'd much rather have a desktop but as a seafarer there isn't much of a choice :-\. I've looked over a lot of laptops but I really cant bring myself to pay the "brand-tax" and would much rather build my own laptop. the only high end barebones laptops I know of are from clevo. So a lot of google searches down the road I was still unable to find any compant that sells clevo barebone laptops in europe, I'm only finding pre-built systems. In America I did find one however but because of import taxes I'm not so sure this would be a good idea. Are there any europeans out there that know of any barebone resellers? (please dont link the clevo buyers guide, because that only lists resellers and I'd like to put my own system together except for the mobo/cpu/gpu). Is it possible to import straight from Taiwan? Thanks in advance! z0ne

When will Skylake be available in Europe?
HoiDaniel posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Self-explainatory When will the Skylake processors be available in Europa? To be specific in The Netherlands. I'd like to upgrade my rig in 1 week.. But I want to know if I should maybe wait a week, or a month, or months. And yes, i know it's going to be showed off in a couple of days, but I'm new in this reveal/retail thing.. Planned upgrade is the i5-6500 / i5-4460 if you need the info. EDIT: you can close this topic, no usefull information :*( -
Me and a friend (both GNM) are looking for 2 or 3 people to play matchmaking with. We're tired of losing 2/3 of the matches because we have 3 teammates who are little kids or russians that get like 1 kill per 4 deaths avg.. Every match we have to carry and still lose. My friend got deranked to gold nova master because of it. We are both from Belgium and speak dutch natively but we talk english in game so anywhere in EU is fine. Obviously we don't want the same "bad" novas or mg's to join us but if you feel the same about solo queuing, and you want to be in a team with some basic strats and aim then play with us and decide for yourself. BTW we don't think we are the best Gold novas or anything, we're still noobs but we try to win every game and not have to worry about carrying 3 players every match. Msg me I will reply questions and give out steam profile.

Hey guys! After many years of using my Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S I decided to finally move on. So, I'm looking for an Asus Zenfone 2 with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage (preferably black but I'm almost giving up on that as my current phone is dying) because that's the version which comes with the 2,3GHz processor. But the problem is I can't seem to find any site which ships to sweden without the price ending up twice as much after shipping. Does anyone know of any website or store that sells this phone and ships to sweden without the price going sky-high? Any help is much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Here we have a G27 Racing wheel for a ridiculous price (in the uk it's £250) Grab while you can. Will hopefully buy it at the end of the month if it's still on sale, as my DFGT has finally died after 5-6 years of abuse. http://www.amazon.es/gp/product/B00CJ5FP1I/

Hey guys! A week or two ago my FX-8320 stopped working so after contacting AMD support I sen't it to the Netherlands in the hopes that the warranty would cover it (I live in Europe) Earlier today their DHL service delivered a new CPU to me, but to my surprise, it was a FX-8350 !! I know there's not so much of a difference, but still, I am very thankful for AMD to do this for free. I've read online about people that were offered either the same CPU or a different version, but never something actually better ! Has this ever happened to anyone else? What's your experience with hardware warranties ? [sorry for my english]

http://www.kitguru.net/components/graphic-cards/anton-shilov/asusteks-geforce-gtx-970-with-10-phase-vrm-will-not-be-available-in-europe-u-s/ http://www.kitguru.net/components/graphic-cards/anton-shilov/asustek-readies-geforce-gtx-970-graphics-card-with-10-phase-vrm/ That's a pretty cool name. It is a reference to the Chinese new year apparently. It is above the default GPU 970 lineup but below the ROG boards. Factory boosts to 1355MHz as shown on the box. Very nice indeed. 10 phase power. Most likely the same type of VRM circuitry on the standard DCUII model. 8+6 pin power, usually featured on the mid tiers, that extra 75W should be useful. And standard cooling fans. It should have the same mounting holes as the Strix then. If you are looking to water cool it. And finally Black and blue cooler. Saucy If you want this card, you will need to import it Europeans.

Apple has changed the iTunes refund policy making it so that Europeans can return almost any digital item bought from the store within two weeks of purchase. However, as you would expect, there are some caveats in place to avoid abuse of the system. If you open an app, or a book, or watch a movie purchased in iTunes, then Apple has the right to refuse a refund. Apple does promise that accepted refunds will be made within 14 days and the money will be returned to the account used to pay. Itunes logo iTunes now offers refunds in Europe This is fairly similar to how returns work at a regular store, where you can be refused a refund if there are significant signs of use, or if the plastic wrap has been torn off the product. This new refund policy brings Apple’s store in line with the European Consumer Rights laws. Few companies are willing to offer refunds on digital items, most notably Valve with purchases made through the Steam store. However, digital refunds are becoming increasingly adopted by e-stores. My thoughts, as i have never used Apple services, but so what's to stop you making a copy then getting a refund? also If it's part of the European Consumer Rights laws then how do Valve get away with not implementing a refund system? Seems frivolous to have laws like this in place if companies don't have to abide by them. Refunds are the one thing that Origin have got up on Steam in terms of customer service. Hello LMG Community! As some of you may know, or not, I am planing to upgrade my PC in a few months. After some tinkering I decided to do a LMG/LTT themed build, but because I'm living in Europe things like sleeved cables are kinda hard to get. Just when I was about to order some samples from oversea, I discovered http://modguru.net. First I have to say that the website is a really beauty and that the chat function is like the most useful thing I've ever seen. Also the Personal is really kind and helped me everywhere they could it didn't took a minute to get a real response from a real person, very impressed. But keep in mind that this "review" is not sponsored or anything like that, wouldn't have anything against it though After 4 days of shipping it finally came to me and I was happy to see that nearly all colors I need match my needs: white, grey, dark grey, black and orange, but because they seem to be really awesome they just sent all colors they have I will show some pictures but to see more and in full resolution just visit this Imgur Album: http://imgur.com/a/WejhU (Please tell which pictures you liked the most) I was so surpirsed by those colors that I made a little Sleeve rainbow ^^ For pictures of every color compared to white please also look at the imgur link: http://imgur.com/a/WejhU After playing around for a bit I took the colors that I'll most likely use for the upcoming build. All colors except Orange really fit my scheme, but I am sure that the guys over at @modguru will figure something out with me about that. So thats it, I really hope that Modguru and many other brands can establish a good modding scene in Europe that is open for newbies like me. Also please visit the Imgur Album http://imgur.com/a/WejhU and tell me which pictures you liked the best, I played around with the lightning a bit. Also sorry for the low quality of those but its best my iPhone controlled by me can do. Any Questions or tips are appreciated If you need some more pictures just tell me Greets C0LL0SS0S

Hey Europe, wanna stop being so backwards and get with the consumer friendly program of what net neutrality should be? That would be nice. Giving ISPs the freedom to offer two tiers is going to ASSURE that they offer two tiers and hold both consumers and business like Google and Netflix by the balls for payments. This affects everyone. Consumers over there already enjoy speedy internet access on the cheap, but these rules would make corporations pay more just to have the proper speeds they need to deliver their content, on top of the fact that they need to pay for pipelines in the first place. http://fortune.com/2015/03/04/net-neutrality-is-not-for-europe/
