Hi. As you probably guessed from the title, my games will often times freeze up for a sec or two, then continue as if nothing had happened, except then they aren't outputting video. It happens like this: 1. Playing game, doesn't matter if it's pause menu, mid-gameplay, or title screen. 2. Game will freeze up, showing either a black screen or get stuck on a frame. Sometimes the game will get stuck in a loop that can also be heard (tiny loops of music being heard over and over) 3. At this point the game will either refuse to work completely or continue like always, except now the game's stuck on a black screen or a single frame. As I'm sure you will understand, this is incredibly annoying and a waste of time. This ONLY happens on games that max out my GPU (GPU usage stuck at 99%), which isn't really hard to do. My PC consists of the following components. I really don't have money to upgrade it and I'm only able to get a single component at a time once in every blue moon. Cpu: FX 6300 @ 3.8 GHz on Air cooling (Alpine 64 Plus) MOBO: ASRock 960 GC-GS FX on latest BIOS (P1.70 or something like that) RAM: 4GB of DDR3 @ 1600 MHz (HyperX Fury, single module) GPU: XFX Radeon HD 5450 1GB DDR3 (manually OC'd to 800 on the core, 600 on the memory) Storage: 240 GB SSD from KingDian as well as a 1 TB WD Green PSU: 250W OEM power supply, it's old and probably not very reliable No case fans Network and sound are the onboard ones. Monitor 1: Packard Bell Viseo 190W (1366x768) plugged straight into the VGA port Monitor 2: Don't know the brand, it's 1280x1024 plugged into DVI with DVI to VGA adapter OS: Windows 7 64-bit SP1 (switched back after Win10 CU gave me crap about programs "being denied access to the Graphics Hardware") I KNOW that the GPU is a MASSIVE bottleneck and as such it will be the next component I upgrade, whenever I get the money. My main problem is with the drivers. I have the Catalyst 15.7 WHQL drivers installed, straight from AMD's website. I've also tried 15.7.1 and the newest Crimson drivers. This issue occurs on all of them. So what I'm really asking of you here is this: Is there a way to clean install the video drivers without the iGPU (Radeon 3000, on the motherboard) getting in the way? If not, is there some way to eliminate the freezes when the GPU is maxed out? My thanks. PS: If you say "LOL my laptop could do better than that just get a better PC" you're not helping.

I'm having two problems related to sound that need to be solved: 1. Non-functional audio jacks: A few months ago (On windows 10), my headphones and microphone (3.5 mm jack) stopped working while plugged into the back of my computer. I plugged them into the front, and just like the back, they were detected but not working. Since then, I have plugged both devices into my USB keyboard that has audio ports, and everything works fine. I think it is software related since plugging them into the keyboard changed the drivers from "VIA HD Audio" to "PnP Sound Device" for both the speakers and microphone. 2. Missing enhancements tab: I just got a new USB microhpone (Fifine k669b) and it sounds fine, but is a bit quiet. I wanted to use the audio enhancement tab/volume boost to turn the volume up since the levels tab is already maxed out; however, the enhancement tab is not there. Both my old "VIA HD Audio" drivers with the 3.5mm jack and "PnP Sound Device" drivers through the keyboard offered this feature, but now the microphone is running on "PnP Audio Device" drivers (Audio, not Sound) which does not offer it. I tried switching to the "Sound" version of the drivers, but it was not listed as compatible. Any advice? Thanks for your help.

TLDR I built a new computer and installed windows 10, my motherboard didn't need lan drivers to connect to internet with ethernet cable. I formatted my drives and reinstalled windows a few times (for an unrelated reason), afterwards, it wouldn't connect without drivers like before. I installed drivers, still nothing. The ethernet icon in the taskbar has a warning sign, if I troubleshoot (see ** below for the errors it returns) 2wice back to back, it will give me different results each time, and doesn't fix the issue either way. I've rebooted my router, made sure I have the right drivers, wiped the drive and reinstalled windows, reset bios.... still nothing. I've just built a new pc, and got it all up and working and everything, booting into bios fine and all parts running good... So then I installed windows. It's windows 10 home 64 bit, and I got into it and everything, to which I saw that I didn't even need to install my motherboard (ASUS Z97-A)'s lan drivers as when I plugged in the ethernet cable it automatically connected. Although, I didn't go right ahead and start installing all other drivers and such, I actually ended up going through again and formatting my drives and reinstalling windows about 5 more times, due to a number of reasons, none very relevant. Anyways, when I was finally done, on this 5th time installing windows now, I went to plug in my ethernet cable, to find that my motherboard now did NOT automatically connect like before! So I just brushed it aside and installed the lan drivers, but for some reason, it still didn't connect. I've checked that the ethernet cable works, rebooted my router many times, scoured the mobo site and made sure the drivers I'm installing are correct, made sure the local area connection and ethernet is turned on and everything, turned my motherboard bios to default... I have no clue what the fuck to do. **For some reason, when I have the cable plugged in, my computer knows it's there, it's just that on the taskbar the ethernet icon has the warning sign on it. I right click and troubleshoot problems, and it delivers me no clear answer, sometimes it says it's fixed everything and the warning sign disappears, but I still can't connect, sometimes it returns some issue with the default gateway, sometimes it says there's a problem with the connection between the router/modem and my computer, sometimes it says ethernet doesn't have a valid ip configuration.... I've tried to fix each of these individual issues, to no avail. Even so, if I run the troubleshooter 2wice in a row, without changing a thing in between, it will produce different results! What is going on??? What do I do??? Please help!

I have an Asus H110M-K. I am currently looking at their site for the motherboard drivers. I don't know what I should download and even if I did, I would not know which version to download of it. Please help. Link To Site: https://www.asus.com/ie/Motherboards/H110M-K/HelpDesk_Download/ - What are the most important things to install? - Which version of each important thing should I get? First of all, hello, I'm new here. Recently I was playing some CS:GO and suddenly everything went black and froze (couldn't even toggle caps-lock light on my keyboard). I restarted and the gpu wasn't used, it was using the integrated gpu. In device manager my GTX 780 was marked with a problem (code 43). I replaced it with a GF 210 to test and it works fine. I tried: Opening it and cleaning Downloading other drivers Reinstalling Windows (tried 7 and 10) Pushing on all chips Using DDU (+) It worked twice and it wasn't registering the problem, I opened CS:GO and loaded a simple map (not a lot of textures or vertices) and there weren't any problems. Then I tried loading a more complex map (de_dust2) and it started flickering a bit and then crashed right after loading (this time it went weird brown color, not black, if that matters). This makes me think it might be an issue with memory. After it crashed again it now registers as code 43 in device manager again. I never had any issues with this card, I have it for around 3 years now. It was never overclocked or messed around with, never had high temperatures since I was regularly changing the thermal paste. Runs with standard air cooling it came with. Other specifications in case somebody asks: Motherboard: MSI B75MA-P45 Power Supply: ZS-Series 550W

I just got a completely new computer and was just wondering what drivers I NEED or anything that I should make sure to do (like disable automatic windows updates). I really don't want things that I don't need, just essentials to make sure everything is running to its full potential. I've already installed geforce experience and updated that. So far there's nothing that hasn't worked or been giving me issues. windows 10 home i5-7600k asus z270h gtx 1080 16gb crucial ram 250gb crucial ssd 1tb wd hdd

I need help, I cannot install my intel drivers for some reason and this is also a fresh new pc. I just build it and it has no graphics card with an 850watt psu and 16gb of DDR4 ram and a Asus Z170-A motherboard. I have used the Hard drive from my old pc which had an Radeon. My graphics card is coming in a few months but i will have to work with this for now. Anyways i already de-installed the AMD driver to my knowledge with the AMD cleanup tool they have on their website. Whenever i try to install any intel driver it runs fine until in the end it pops up and tells me that 1 or more drivers could not be installed. If i try to open a game like cs:go it won't launch either giving me an engine crash telling me my graphics card does not support the game. Please any help is appreciated thanks

I recently switched my 4690K in my system out for my 5820K. I have the same OS, same drives, same everything. What I have noticed are a bunch of major slowdowns that would happen at random. Also added in a few more PCIe expansion cards bit only 2 more than I had before and the jump from 16 PCIe lanes to 28 should allow that. What I have been experiencing are major slow downs just using the OS. Randomly my mouse will freeze up here and there. I also am having a lot, a lot more screen tearing in games. I also have been getting low frame rates in games that I use to play on both CPUs just fine! I used to play MGS5 fine using my 5820K and my GTX770 but now I'm having issues with the same specs but a GTX1070. There should be now issues. I'm debating reinstalling drivers for everything or even just formatting my system and starting over. I just has been acting weird. No malware that I can see. No virus. Nothing. I also have been getting a weird issues where games think my monitor is 1080p when it's a 1440p monitor. I also have had major issues that it will display games, programs, anything on my other monitor which is an old 900p monitor. It's very weird. Any suggestions? I thought it could be attributed to the lower single core performance of my CPU but that couldn't be the cause of all of this.

Hey All, I recently updated my PCIE, Graphics card, and display drivers. Unfortunately, now my games are running at around 1/3 the previous frame-rate while also looking a bit blurry honestly. I figured it probably has something to do with my doing a clean install when using the Geforce experience updater. Likely wiped out whatever graphics card profiles I had in place. I remember having to modify some settings when I originally got my system, but that was..... a while ago. Any help or ideas to get back to playable frame-rates welcome, this is brainstorming. Thanks everyone! Lenovo P50 XeonE3-1505M v5@2.8 32Gb ECC Quadro M2000M 4Gb 4k display Most recent windows update.

I recently came across a driver pack called Intel Skycam. Dell, Lenovo and HP all seem to have the pack available but, none of them actually explain what the differnence is between Intel Skycam and there other webcam drivers, available for there computers. Does anyone have any information on Intel Skycam? Thanks.

OK so, I'm planning on wiping my drive after almost 4 years, and doing a clean Windows 10 install. Since it's been so long since the last time I did this, and never for Windows 10, I'm wondering if there's any particular order for driver install I should follow, and which extra drivers I should definitely install. I'm particularly curious about Intel's RST drivers, which for some reason I don't even recall anymore were recommended way back, as well as the Intel chipset drivers. Should I install either of those, and Is there any benefit to using pre-install versions where applicable? Any tips would be appreciated

Hello, so I had an older machine that I was using as a work station a while back, and so after I got a new computer I decided to turn this computer into a home server. So I bought a copy of Windows Server 2012r2 and installed it. For the most part everything like networking and chipset drivers installed fine. However I am wanting to use it also as an export server for my video editing so I don't tie up my computer whenever I would like to export something. The computer that has 2012r2 installed on it is an Dell Optiplex 960 computer, with the intel chip set, and the problem I am running into is that I cannot install the driver for it, and every time I try I get a pretty little window saying "your system does not meet the minimum requirements" and for Adobe Media Encoder to work properly I need a video driver. I have also tried to use the compatibility settings section for the install file to see if I can trick it into installing, but the same message pops up. Can anyone help me?

Hello, Linus people I was wondering about new creators update for windows 10, Does it check for drivers update when we check for system updates through settings ?? Because when I open "Driver Manager" and I check every single driver for updates, It shows an option says "Search for update on Windows Update". So what do you guys think of that ??!!

Yesterday when i was playing Overwatch my GPU stopped working all of a sudden. My monitor cannot find a signal and the fans are not spinning on the GPU. When the GPU stopped working i checked how hot my case was and it was VERY hot. Usually even after extremely long gaming sessions my GPU temperatures dont go over 85 celcius. The CPU cooler was spinning tho so the GPU seems to be the only one that failed here. Im currently using my old R7 260X and it works fine so its definitely the GPU. Any tips or ideas for what to do? Well the RX 460 is bit tricky to install on windows 10 Pro,if I don't have any AMD drivers installed it show as a "Windows display adapter" with the amount of memory and all that stuff but when I install the proper AMD drivers is shows as "Unavailable" and says "shared system memory unavailable" "manufacturer unavailable" and so on. What do I do,even with DDU it doesnt solve the problem. Thanks in advance and sorry for any typos.

Hey guys, I recently upgraded my motherboard and cpu without doing a fresh install of windows 8.1 as I thought I uninstalled all of my old motherboard's drivers. I can't do a fresh install of windows 8.1 now because it is an OEM edition not a retail edition so I don't actually have a product key. To attempt to solve this, I tried to run a couple different driver update/fixer software such as driver booster, and they will all completely freeze my computer whenever they get to intel chipset driver, meaning I can't fix any of my drivers at all. To try to fix the driver issues once again, I tried installing windows 10 for free using the assistive technologies loophole so I could get windows 10 then do a fresh install of windows 10, but every time I try to install windows 10 I get the error: 0xC1900101 - 0x30018, which is apparently related to driver issues (wow who would've thought) so I can't install windows 10 either. TLDR: I need a way to reset all my drivers and update them but I can't because i can't do a fresh install of windows 8.1 because its OEM and driver update software doesnt work. Is there any other methods to do this? (Ideally without having to delete all of my apps)

ive been using realtek on my AMD system with a FX8320 and MSI 990FXA and had bass management enabled in-software to ensure my 7.1 headphones were nice to listen with. today I upgraded to the MSI gaming M7 Z270 and an Intel 7600K and having just finished installing all my drivers, the realtek software wont open, I have uninstalled it and re-installed the lastest version. I have gone to playback devices and there is no advance option for bass management and I have dug through the files. Not 1 single application will open In the driver folder besides the installation one. I saw a thread mentioning that it must be in the boot devices so I checked than and its in there too. I'm pretty desperate now, so any help is appreciated.

Hi guys, So I have a question which I just can't seem to get any answer on anywhere. I am about to build a new computer, and I know how to build everything etc, but once installed, does Ethernet drivers come preinstalled (using ethernet cable)? If not, how do I the drivers onto a usb, and even more, how do I even find the drivers? I did do some research, but the most I found was automatic driver installation, which did require internet? I am very confused about this topic

I just opened my computer and started to take my graphics card out. I didn't remove the drivers though. Does this matter?

I just bought a new LG 4K TV and I want to connect my gaming PC to it. However, I am having multiple weird things happen while trying to do this which all result in me being signed out or failing to sign in at all. I am on Windows 10 64 Bit Version 1607 OS Build 14393.953, i7-6700, 16 GB DDR4. Using a GTX 1060 6GB . 650 Watt Corsair Power supply. Latest Bios Updates installed. Here is a list of the things that occur: 1. With the PC plugged in using an hdmi 2.0 cord, I power up the PC and it POSTS and gets past the Gigabyte logo. Then, I am greeted with the Windows 10 sign in page which automatically starts to sign me into my account. Then, the TV goes black, then quickly comes back on again and continues to tell me "Welcome" as if it is signing me in. This happens in a loop until I turn off the PC. 2. With the PC already on and logged in, also connected to a 1080p monitor, I either turn on the TV, or plug the HDMI cord into it. After that, both screens turn completely black, and all I can see on either screen is the cursor. This will remain until I either unplug the PC from my TV, or I turn the TV off. Then, Windows will log me off and put my back on the initial sign in page. 3. Anytime the TV is on, and connected to the PC while in the midst of resintalling NVIDIA drivers, both screens go black, and again will stay that way until I unplug the tv or turn it off. Then will be kicked back to the sign in screen, while completely failing to install any drivers at all. 4. I have successfully gotten my TV to display my desktop, but only in 1080p, while in Safe Mode only. Weird, right? I am at a complete loss. Here are the things I have tried: 1. Reinstalled NVIDIA drivers (Clean installs). Multiple Times. Using at least 10 different versions going back in time chronologically. Using "Display Driver Uninstaller" in between each version and restarting before trying the next one. 2. Using multiple different HDMI cables even though I know all of them are HDMI 2.0 compliant. 3. Using all 3 HDMI ports on the back of the TV. 4. Tried plugging in My Windows 7 laptop to see if it is a problem with the TV or the computer. The laptop instantly showed up on the screen displaying in 1080p (it is an older laptop that does not support 4k video output) So, really the only thing I know for sure is that it is not a problem with the TV itself, but a problem with my system or drivers or something. If anyone could please give me some advice on how to proceed that would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to read this and thanks in advance for any replies you may have!
