Summary Mac users can't properly use audio interfaces with XLR inputs in Discord since February 2020. Discord has a statement on their website that they actively work with the WebRTC open-source community to fix this bug. The community answered to the Discord developers' bug report that the version of WebRTC Discord is using was already one year old, and they should try a more recent version. Unfortunately, the development team of Discord never replied, and since nothing has changed so far, I assume the application still uses the old version. Quotes Discord Website joz...@discordapp.com (Last visit: 280 days ago) WebRTC community My thoughts I like the concept of Discord, and I use it every day. It is disappointing that a company with an assumed revenue of $120 million does not want to fix this bug. Furthermore, they are silencing complaints with a statement that is either untrue, or they are working in Valve Time. I cancelled my Discord Nitro subscription, and I hope that this gets some attention. After more than a year, they at least give us an update. i was in a discord call with people and they said they heard everything that was playing through my computer including their voices even when i went on mute, i've been looking up things on the internet of how to fix this issue for over 2 hours and i haven't found a fix. i checked to see if i needed to update my drivers/ sound drivers, looked to see if the "listen to this device" was checked on sound manager, i've seen something about stereo mix but that's not on my computer for some reason and idk how to get it, but i need some help because i honestly have no idea what to do except the last thing which is reset my whole computer.. any ideas?

I have a pretty midrange PC. That's why I'm so shocked at this weird behavior. Here is the scenario. When ever I stream Age of empires 2: DE the game's fps drops from like 100+ down to 56fps or something below 60. The weird part it only happens when the game is maximized, if I alt enter the game the fps locks to my screens refresh rate of 75 and the game is butter smooth and the stream is fine. I have tried disabling full screen optimizations, as well as updating my drivers, reinstalling the game and even formatting my PC to make double sure it's not some weird setting I changed and forgot about. My Specs: CPU: Ryzen 7 2700x Ram: 32 GB 2933 Mhz GPU: Radeon RX 570 Main screen: Dell 27" 75Hz OS: Windows 10 64-bit The weird thing is it isn't just with Age its with other games like Ceaser III too. If anyone is having a similar problem or knows how to fix this I would be very glad to hear from you.

I don't remember ever being banned, I probably left it a long time ago. But now that I'm rejoining it, it shows up for a split second before disappearing. I looked in my DMs for any logs if I've ever been banned, but haven't found anything from the bot. I also don't get a banned message whenever I attempt to join the server.

I have a possibly pretty niche thing I want to do. I usually stream movies with friends over discord, I would have the movie fullscreen on my second monitor, and use Discord's screen share to share that application window in a live call with a friend or friends. I might be moving to a single monitor setup soon (mostly for simplicity and to cut down on clutter), so I wanted to figure out if I could do the same thing with virtual desktops, but Discord doesn't seem to be aware of any windows open on the second virtual desktop. I tried troubleshooting using OBS window capture and it has the same problem, so I'm assuming there's some sort of barrier between the two desktops that prevents them from being aware of the other's applications. I want to be fullscreen in the call on Discord, and I've had weird things where my mouse is visible on the livestream if it goes over where the video window is Is there a way to overcome that barrier, or an alternative method to achieve this?

Hello LTT Community, I am having a weird issue I noticed due to the ongoing x570 USB dropout issue. That upon iCUE reattaching to my headset im losing audio from discord, I still get all the other system audio just nothing from the discord voice channel. If I change voice channels and return to the same one the issue stops and everything works again until the x570 dropout reoccurs . After extensive testing. (Support tickets on going with both Corsair and Discord) The issue seems directly tied to the use of windows 10 pro vs windows 10 home and the new AMD chipset. Between myself and my friend group I was able to perform testing on the issue on a combination of motherboards, processors with both windows 10 pro and windows 10 home. The issue only occurs if Windows 10 Pro is the OS being used and only if its on the new AMD chipsets. The full testing summary and test procedure is listed below. Would anyone have any idea at all what the difference between windows 10 Pro and windows 10 Home could be that would cause this behavior? Due to the x570 issue its getting really annoying. All computers running the latest available versions of windows 10 pro/home respectively with the same version of iCUE and the same discord version. Bios revisions up to date per manufacturer websites. Testing Performed: 1) Windows 10 Pro, X99 motherboard (i7-(5930k) - No Issue 2) Windows 10 Home, X99 Motherboard (I7-5930k) - No Issue 3) W10 Pro B550 Motherboard (Ryzen 3100G, PCI gen 3, Ryzen 3600XT/PCI3) - Had the issue 4) W10 Home B550 Mb (Ryzen 3100G, PCI Gen 3) - No Issue 5) W10 Pro X570 Mb (Ryzen 5900x/PCI 4, Ryzen 5800x/PCI4) - Had the issue 6) W10 Home X570 Mb (Ryzen 5800x/PCI4) - No Issue Test Systems (Motherboard: Scenario used in (Processor used for tests) ) : Gigabyte X99 Gaming G1 + Wifi : Test scenarios 1 and 2 (5930k) (My former build) Asus X99A Deluxe : Test scenarios 1 and 2 (5920k) *Asus X570 Crosshair VIII Hero: Test scenario 5 and 6 (5900x) - Test 5 for this setup also included both the current beta and alpha builds of discord along with full clean installs of iCUE (registry key removal and all) as directed by corsair support. MSI X570 Pro Carbon : Test scenarios 5 and 6 (5800x) MSI B550 Pro-VDH-Wifi : Test scenarios 3 and 4 (3100G/3600xt) Gigabyte B550 Vision D : Test scenario 3 (3600xt) * My personal current computer. running windows 10 pro Laptops tried with same process listed below: MSI GS63VR Stealth Pro-422 w/SSD Swap - Win 10 Home - i7-6700HQ - No Issue Sager NP8155 (Clevo P650HP3) - Win 10 Home - i7-7700HQ - No Issue Test Procedure: 1) Boot System/log in 2) Start up iCUE 3) Connect corsair virtuoso to system via USB cable (Wired mode) 4) Open discord 5) Manually set discord to use the virtuoso headset as the desired input and output device 6) Do a sound check both receiving and transmitting audio with friend 7) Using the Rhythm discord bot, with another computer in the same audio channel for verification, to play music. 8) Confirm headset is playing music 9) Close iCUE 10) Note short disruption in audio, less than 100ms but audio continues 11) Relaunch iCUE 12) Take note if audio continues to play after receiving notification from iCUE for "Mic On" (See test setups 3 and 5) 13) If an issue occurred, change to a different voice channel in discord and then return to the starting channel 14) Note if audio resumed playing 15) Confirm with secondary validation computer that audio stream never stopped transmitting in the designated audio channel. TLDR: Audio dropout upon device reconnection to iCUE in discord only effects computers running on x570 or B550 chips that also have the Windows 10 Pro operating system installed but doesn't occur if using Windows 10 Home. Any ideas as to what could cause this?

I want to make a Discord bot with repl.it, and I need it do DM a member with ^verify, and it sends a DM to the user who requested it, with an 8 digit code like this XXXX-XXXX Here is the basic code: import discord import os from online import online client = discord.Client() @client.event async def on_ready(): print('Logged in as: {0.user}'.format(client)) @client.event async def on_message(message): if message.author == client.user: return if message.content.startswith('^hello'): await message.channel.send('Hello') online() client.run(os.getenv('TOKEN')) After the user succeeds with the code, assign a role called Verified, and it's done. Can anyone give a code snippet? The online() function is called because a website pings it keeping the bot online

Hello there! I've tried changing every setting in the discord video off, and I've tried turning it all on. If I pull up another recording tool like OBS, the game runs smoothly there. I have even tried going through OSB virtual camera to see if that would fix it, but the outcome was the same. I noticed on the discord stream itself, when I tab out of the game, the game becomes slightly darker, then when I bring the game into focus, it becomes brighter again, almost like its a HDR type issue. However all my HDR settings are off, in settings and on my monitor. When I click back on the game, it gets slightly brighter, and starts having serious frame drops. I recorded a video of what's going on. It shows the game running perfectly fine & same with OBS! it mentions in the corner (orange symbol), that its internet related, yet I can stream at 10k bitrate no issue (plus it works fine when not in focus). I also notice everything on my other monitors and other software has really weird things happen when I click on the game (low update rates for stuff like OBS sound). So I feel like I'm missing some random setting that's causing this! Wondering if anyone has experienced this, or has any pointers on where to start looking for help! Video Link : I've also attached a DxDiag to show all my pc specs. Regards, Electro. DxDiag.txt

Dear strangers, After recently getting a new graphics card for my pc, I've noticed a thing wrong with Discord and Microsoft Teams screensharing. Everytime I try to screenshare it starts to stutter/lag every couple of seconds and if I actually click on what screen or application to share it starts lagging uncontrollably and no one else in the call can hear me anymore. I've tried the following things already: Dissable and enable hardware acceleration on Discord and Windows 10 Factory reset my Windows Reinstall the newest Nvidia Drivers Try every build of Discord available to me, release, canary and PTB Set my DNS to Google's Scanned for viruses Update my sound drivers My specs and other information is: Ryzen 5 3600 Aorus Pro B550M MSI RTX 3060 Ti Gaming X Corsair Vengeance 32GB RGB pro 3600mhz RAM Nvidia Geforce GameReady drivers version 496.76 Windows 10 Education build 19044 If anyone has any other ideas of things to try, please let me know.

I tried making it short, but its a niche problem so its hard to make it any shorter, sorry but thanks :) Recently upgraded from a 1660 to a 3080ti. ever since I did so I've been having issues with my USB devices. what makes this problem particularly weird, is the fact that it only happens during specific actions/when I do specific things in specific programs. Usually, all my USB devices (including the internal ones like argb in my corsair fans) would start lagging like crazy, and then all disconnect only to reconnect immediately again. this was very annoying so I went into my device manager and edited the USB controller to not turn off my USB devices. this fixed my disconnection problem but the lagging kept going. Somehow over time, it's reduced itself to mostly only affecting my mouse (even though this might be the worst USB device to be affected...) Like i stated earlier, it only happens during specific processes. Specifically when i click the button in discord to start streaming my screen (and the pop-up window with screens come up - something to do with screen recording?), at the start of cod vanguard and halo´s release periods (not a problem anymore, so could just be the games?) but most frustratingly of all, the issue occurs when i launch a game that requires Ubisoft Access (game launcher) to run (sometimes also the EA app currently in beta-mode will make my mouse start lagging). I've spent hours upon hours trying to come to some sort of explanation, but I just can't seem to find any logical reason why this is happening. I remember reading a while ago how some of the 30-series cards could affect the USB controller with my current motherboard and CPU combination, but since my setup is relatively common (manufacturer-wise anyway, which this was supposed to be) I find it hard to believe it would be so hard to find information about this since it would be a more common problem (full specs below). I also can't remember why these manufacturers (Nvidia, Asus and AMD) products would affect each other and make USB devices start lagging, and I also can't seem to find the site/post that stated so. I only remember thinking the person who wrote it seemed to have pretty good knowledge regarding computers and problem-solving issues like these... If no one can help me, my next step would simply be to do a fresh reinstall of windows in case DDU uninstalled my prior graphics driver wrong, or if it's a more deeply rooted problem. That said, I have limited time on my hands at these days (legit took me about a week to find time to write this post) so when I finally have some time id prefer using it on actually playing the games instead of reinstalling them after a clean windows install... And also, yes, of cause I've looked into whether it's a USB driver issue or USB controller issue. I've also tried going in safe mode and deleting the USB controller drivers just to force windows into reinstalling a fresh version (same goes for my peripherals drivers and their individual software. Here's a video to show an example of how my mouse reacts when its "lagging": Thanks in advance to anyone who might have an idea of how or why this is happening :) Full PC specs: Ryzen 5600x GIGABYTE AORUS 3080 TI MASTER Asus ROG Strix B550 e-gaming Trident Z Neo 32GB 3600 MHz Memory NVme ssd Corsair RM850x psu (850w gold) (self-build) Perifrials: Logitech G502 Lighspeed, using Power Play mousepad. Logitech G915 Lightspeed Corsair Virtuoso xt Blue Snowball Scuf PS4 controller Internal USB devices that can be affected: 9x Corsair ARGB fans (LEDs only, the fan itself keeps running since its connected through molex) the LCD display on my NZXT Kraken Z73 360mm AIO (which has a separate connection through USB for those who are unaware)

Heya, Roughly 9 days ago my Discord account was disabled out of nowhere. Meanwhile I have a big suspicion why, but more on that later. Spoiler: It wasn't even my fault. In those 9 days I've opened countless tickets via mail, messaged them dozen of times on Twitter both via DM and Mentions, many other people joined in and also tried to get in touch with someone from Discord including Jerry (Barnacules) but without any success. Furthermore I tried reaching them on FaceBook and Instragram which I already knew wouldn't work but still gave it a try. In those 9 days I've also investigated a bit more, turns out people can mass-ban servers by posting ToS breaking content and mass-reporting the server getting everyone in said server banned in less than an hour and this already happened to countless people on Reddit, Twitter and others telling me so via DMs. This is especially bad for abandoned or not well moderated servers, example when you're in them just for Emojis (like I was). Discord simply goes ahead and disables ALL accounts, without investigating any single cases, and calls it a day. Trying to reach someone to counter that ban simply results in a generic E-Mail by Clyde (their ticket bot) with "We won't reinstate your account". EDIT: Adding details here, Discord also followed me on Twitter. Yesterday, after 4+ years of following me (being one of the 1.100 people or so) they unfollowed. So some human at their team actually did read my stuff, and decided to ignore it and get petty... I'm am/was Admin/Moderator of a Partnered Discord Server (Barnacules), hosted multiple communities myself with combined roughly ~5.000 people, was an almost Day 1 member with an account made back in August 2015 and Nitro Supporter ever since it came out in January 2017. They still don't care whatsoever. I even made 2 videos regarding this, however won't link to them here to not "advertise" anything. At this point I'm simply just a bit pissed, defeated and don't have much energy left to fight anymore... they simply don't seem to care. Not only does that mean I've lost ALL of the contacts I built up over almost 7 years, it also means that all the chat protocols and servers I joined are now gone most likely forever. I've had multiple people with mental health problems I was talking and taking care of on there which are now left in the dark as to where I went, since that account simply just shows me as "Offline". Rant over. Thanks for reading.

I have my Lenovo Legion 5 (Ryzen 5 5600H, RTX 3060 version) since September 2021 and it has been working great until recently. Everything still works great, except Discord. 2 days ago when i was doing my school stuff in inkscape whilt talking to my friends on Discord, when my entire system became unresponsive. Desktop, apps and system just froze. I even tried to Ctrl+Alt+Delete, but it resulted in hard screen freeze, so I shut my system down. After that i've uninstalled inkscape, thinking it was it's fault and continued talking on Discord. Lo and behold, same thing happened. After booting up again I've decided to do some stress tests to see if it maybe was my laptop dying, but after 2 hours of testing everyting looked perfectly fine. I decided to explain my situation to my friends (on Discord obviously) and after around 20 minutes my system crashed again. I decided to see if maybe Discord was the source of the problem, since it was one of not many programs running while my system was freezing, and after uninstalling it everything was back to normal. I also reinstalled Inkscape to verify it was not it's fault, and without any problems I finished my work for school using it. I also reinstalled Discord once to verify it was causing the problem, and ofc system froze after around 15-20 minutes. I would really like to get it fixed, because now I have to use browser version of discord, and it works awfully, not to mention I can't use my side mouse buttons for Push to talk. I've tried disabling hardware acceleration on Discord, because some people on reddit said it fixed the problem for them, but it didn't work for me. help please

Sorry if I can't explain the problem properly but nothing apart from Chrome is using my internet connection, i've confirmed its not my internet connection or Steam/Discord. Also performed a network reset to no avail.

I've recently encountered an issue with my microphone constantly adjusting the volume in discord after talking on steam for about 5 seconds. Before i ever talked on Steam the microphone would pick up everything and work perfectly. I have Auto Input Sensitivity turned off on discord aswell as their echo cancellation and noise reduction settings and auto gain control settings. I have a Blue Yeti Ice Snowball microphone and it worked perfecty before please help! Here are the relevant images and videos to get the idea of what im saying.
