Hello people. i wanted to make sure i was reading the spec sheet of my motherboard correctly. https://us.msi.com/Motherboard/B450M-GAMING-PLUS/Specification Here's the spec sheet for my motherboard, is it correct that it has one cpu 4pin fan header and 2 4pin system fan headers. Which means i can only have 2 case fans actively spinning? because with my current case NZXT H500 i realaize that if that's the case then i should probably change the location of the fans since i would have one on the top rear of the case sucking in air and one on the rear next to the motherboard ports blowing air out (which seems quite stupid to have air sucked in at the top back end of the case only for it to be blown out right after) as showin in the picture in the spoiler.

(my stellar artwork for reference in attachment) Would two case fans facing upwards (pushing air towards gpu) do anything? My psu is on the bottom left of the case, just under the metal. the fan is facing down towards the floor so no hot air is going upwards into the case. Would two fans like ive drawn make any difference with airflow temp, or do any harm at all? Another reason i would want some is just for aesthetics too if anything.

I connected my PWM connector that is attached to my fan hub to the 12v rgb header on my motherboard. When I turned on my case fans aren't spinning anymore and the led lights are stuck on stagnant with different colors. The computer itself is working normally and there isn't seem to be any visible damage on the motherboard. Did I fry my fans? Did I fry my rgb header? Is it just the fan hub that is broken? Are there any damage that it dealt that I should know about? Please I'm really anxious and desperately need help. Thank you in advance for help, you are a great person. Mobo: Gigabyte B450M DS3H V2 Fans: Techware Orbis F1 kit (4 fans) More info: It's seems that the rgb header is 12v according to the mobo manual. The fan is... I have enough space on the back on my cabinet between my GPU and my PSU to place a 120mm fan (using the unused slots as vents), it is worth to place one to try to extract the warm air coming from the GPU fans? (I think) It would look better using the emty space, but will it affect the pc temperarure/performance? (having in theory 3 case fans in front, 1 on the back and 2 above feeding the cpu watercooling (i'm on the planning phase), GPU: Gigabyte Radeon RX 570 GAMING 4G & CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 2200g ).

Hi everyone, Earlier today I installed two sets of three fans using two EKWB 3-way fan splitters onto my ROG Z390E Gaming motherboard: - 3x be quiet! Silent Wings 3 120mm PWM High-Speed (0.16A / 0.37A safety current, 1.92W) as intake. - 1x be quiet! Silent Wings 3 120mm PWM High-Speed, 2x be quiet! Silent Wings 3 140mm PWM High-Speed (0.14A / 0.5A safety current, 1.68W) as exhaust I'm confident that a single fan header can power three fans, they even ran at full speed without fail for a few seconds when I was playing around with BIOS settings (I run them at quite conservative speeds normally), the total amperage of three fans don't exceed the 1 amps a fan header can supply. However, I have some concerns: 1 - on be quiet!'s website, they list the 'safety current' which is 0.38A and 0.5A for the 120mm and 140mm models respectively, which combined well exceeds 1 amp. I'm not sure what exactly 'safety current' is, and i haven't been able to find much information. 2 - I've seen a bunch of Reddit threads on the same topic where people say that fans use 'more amperage when starting up'. Which isn't very specific since it would either be: they start up using their maximum operating amperage (which would be fine), or they exceed their maximum operating amperage for a brief moment. Again, I don't know. I've been able to run my PC normally after the installation, the fans start up as normal and they are all operating normally. I'm just making this post as a sanity check. Any comments explaining concerns 1 and 2 would be greatly appreciated. - Dom

Hey team. After playing around a bit with my PC, my chassis fans won't slow down or stop....they're running at near maximum and I can't figure it out. I've tried BIOS reset and Qfan control, power downs, resetting plugs, and using Fan Xpert to set my performance (see screenshots for measured fan RPM's as labelled respectively). 3x front stock fans from P500A, and 1x rear exahust QL140. CPU fans (also QL140) as far as I know run as normal, all the time albeit at reduced speeds. The only thing that lead to this was doing some mild overclocking (tested in my old case previously, this was a re-OC in the new P500A) and I found that I was severely overheating (wasn't as obvious at stock settings in games). So I remounted my AIO with fresh paste and it's fine now. P500A case housing Z490-E Strix supported by 32Gb Tridenz 3200 CL 16 and i7-10700K CPU running stock cooled by NZXT X63 AIO with QL series fans. -Sacha

So my case doesn't have a side panel window and my board does not have any RGB headers, but I'm looking for some 120mm ARGB, RGB, or DRGB fans that would let me control the lights on the fans, even when my PC is turned off. Reason for that is, so I can used the lights on the fans as interior lighting, when I'm working on the inside of my PC, instead of using the LED on my phone as a flash light. I'll mainly be using white LED, but having RGB will be nice. Does those type of fans exist? Many thanks for your help

Hi there , so i recently built my first pc which was transfered to my old case which is a cooler master 430 black, it has intake and one exhaust fan , but I noticed one thing, everytime I press the power button of the case , the fans turn on with the lights as well, but after spinning a bit they go off for 1 or 2 seconds , then I hear the beep sound from the speaker , bios logo appear, then windows logo and the fans stop again for a second and then it's all normal as expected , so I'm wondering what's going on ? Is this normal or what? My system; Gigabyte aorus elite b550m Xpg white with rgb 2x8 3200 ram Ryzen 5600x stock settings using cooler master hyper black 212 Gtx 980 1 500 gb ssd 1 1tb hdd Evga 500 white plus 80

What are the best fans to get for cooling that won't break my budget, the other day when I was playing Rainbow Six Siege, my GPU got up to 92C in-game, I was planning to use this as an exhaust fan https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KFCRATC/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?smid=A1Z5H6ZGWCMTNX&psc=1 and these as intake, I would appreciate anyone that can help me out! Thanks! P.S I specifically want 4 fans for intake, they don't have to be rgb but I also would want it to be connected to a hub and powered through sata

I finally built my first pc after months of planning, and everything works except my case fans. I have 4 of them, and they are connected to a fanhub which is connected to one of my system fan headers not the psu. 3 of the fans work, while one does not, I tried switching around the ports on my fan hub and it made no difference, so I'm assuming that one fan is dead. The other three fans are working, but they are not showing up in the bios, it just says system fan 1 and system fan 2 are disabled. Besides the one random fan that doesn't seem to work, the other three are actually working , so I don't really know why they are no showing up in the bios. On a somewhat related note, is there a way to change fan curves without the bios?

Hi, this is my first time building a pc and I seem to have encountered a problem. The motherboard that I’m using is the ASUS Prime B450M-A/CSM. It only has a CPU fan header and 2 CHA_FAN headers with 4 pins (not really sure what CHA is). I want to put 4 rgb fans in my case but there isn’t enough headers. I was thinking of using a fan splitter but I’m not sure if the fans will connect to the aura sync. Also, a lot of the fans I found on Amazon are 3 pin ones, so how would those connect to the motherboard? Any solutions or suggestions? Or I am completely misunderstanding something.

Hello everyone. This is the first time I'm installing custom fans for my PC, so please bear that in mind as I have no prior knowledge on how to do this. I'm buying a Corsair LL120 RGB 120mm 3-pack and 2*140mm LL140 RGB fans for the front of my case. Two of the 120mm fans will be replacing the fans of my top-mounted H100x AIO, and the last 120mm will be replacing my exhaust fan that came with my PC case. The LL120 RGB 3-pack comes with a Corsair Lightning Node Pro and RGB Fan LED Hub. My question is; do I connect all the fans except for the ones that attach to my radiator to the RGB hub, and the AIO fans the motherboard? or do I attach every single fan to the RGB hub? Also, it seems my case (Svive S650, an in-house brand from the retailer) has a fan hub installed, do I swap this out with the new fan hub from Corsair as all my fans will now be directly from Corsair? Thank you in advance for the help! https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Not_Terry0/saved/HPnGLk This is my current in progress build ,am I am planning to throw in 13 fans to mirror a design seen in this video although I only plan on ordering 10 Corsair fans as that is all I need. Do I need a Hub for the RGB Fans, or a RGB Controller? if I do, how many controllers or which one should I get for this build?

Hello, Looking for advice for upgrading my case fans. Right now I have a rear exhaust with nfa 12x15 (4 pin) the two top fans Fractal Design Dynamic X2 GP-12 Computer Fan 1200rpm - Silent Fan that came with the case that I plunged into my 3 pin fan hub. As for my 240 aio rad I have 2 nfa 12x15 push and 2 nfa 12x15 slim pull all 4 pin. Was mainly looking to upgrade grade the 2 top fractal fans maybe 2 Noctua NF-P12 redux-1700 PWM, High Performance Cooling Fan, 4-Pin, 1700 RPM (120mm, Grey)? Im assuming the nfa 12x15 for rear exhaust is ok but what recommendations would you guys suggest. I have a fractal mesh c mini , it looks like only a 120mm will fit in the rear.

Hi I am thinking of buying case fans for my build, and I'm vacillating between a fan kit that has PWM socket for motherboard control or one without motherboard PWM control but has RGB strip ports and is cheaper. Though both are from budget Chinese companies, I'm having a hard time in choosing. Is it better to control the fans through the motherboard? or just manually adjust it with the included remote. These are the Fan kits I'm thinking of buying https://www.tecware.co/orbisf1f3 https://darkflashtech.com/collections/case-fan/products/darkflash-dr12-pro-3-pack-addressable-120mm-rgb-led-case-fan-kit-with-controller-and-remote Hope someone can help me. TIA

Phanteks P400S Air Cooling (Case and CPU) Positions & Orientation Hello all just an amateur who wanted to ask what would be the best case fan positions / orientation for this case PHANTEKS P400S ( Tempered Glass )? I currently have it set up like the picture below as a visual reference like another post I saw ( https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1065371-best-fan-layout-for-pc/). I was thinking about flipping the fan on the top right so it would be taking air into the case rather than acting as another exhaust, I want to make sure this would be the correct move before I do it. Also, what are some good cooling practices and tips people should use? Case Fan Airflow Black Circle: AMD Stock CPU cooler (AM4 socket)(Please Let me know if there is a specific air cooler I should be looking into that hopefully won't break the bank like the others I've seen.) Red Rectangle: Graphics Card and air flow. White: Case fans, (came with case or bought aftermarket). Arrows: Direction air is moving. Other Case Images:

As the title implies, I'm setting up custom fan curves for my case fans. There are only three to control, as the other three are handled by a corsair AIO. Anyway, I'm trying to figure out which temperqture sensor is the best for my case fans to determine their speed by. My four options are as follows: CPU System MOS Chipset My PC specs are: MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC AMD Ryzen 5 2600X Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super gaming OC 2x8gb 3200mhz Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro Corsair H150i AIO 6x Corsair HD120 PWM fans Bitfenix Formula Gold 650 Watt

My motherboard Gigabyte A320M-s2h has only one 4-pin fan header. I want to add 2 or 3 fans in my cabinet. I have jumper wires. Can i connect 2 or more fans in parallel connection to that single pin? Will that work? Or will it damage anything?

Hi guys. So I recently bought and installed the Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 fans and the MF120 Halo. But I can't really control my fan speeds. I tried searching online and I tried speedfan but it doesn't detect my fans. The only way I can really control my case fans are through the BIOS and it's really a hassle to enter BIOS just to change the fan speed. My fans now are under normal speed. If I'm playing a game or doing some productivity work like Rhino 3D or Adobe stuff, I would want my fans to spin faster coz I want to keep my PC cool. Is there anybody who can help me with this?

Alright so my case fans are dying in my pc case, but I really love my case so I don't want to just go out and buy another one. I am currently trying to figure out what fans would be best (and reliable). I can go with either 3 140 mm fans or 4 120mm fans. My pc case is a NZXT H440. I think going with 3 fans would probably be cheaper and quieter. I am leaning towards noctua, but I am having issues figuring out which of these I should be looking at and avoiding. I am heavily leaning towards noctua even though they look awful with my black and blue color scheme... The only brand I refuse to go with is corsair because out of the 8 products of theirs that I have used/helped put in a build all of them had quality control issues. So I guess I am open to other brands (so long as they aren't Corsair). I also don't really know the difference between pwm and some of the other commonly used designations for fans. This is noctuas entire product lineup: https://noctua.at/en/products/fan If I were to go with 120mm fans I would probably go with these https://noctua.at/en/products/fan/nf-s12a-pwm/buy because it seems like that is the best 120mm option for case according to this diagram: https://noctua.at/en/which_fan_is_right_for_me I have no idea what would be a comparibly good option for 140mm noctua case fans. IDK there any other fans you think would be just as good or better? Thanks for the help in advance.

I bought 2 case fans (they're both the same) and when I checked their cables they have a 4 pin and molex connectors. These 2 are going to be my intake fans on the front of the case. My question is, is it required to connect the 4 pin connector to the motherboard? Or I can just connect it to the molex?

Hey, I was just installing my new silent wings 3 in my case. I was using the anti vibration pads that came with the Fans, and then i noticed that a cable was too short to reach the motherboard pwm connector. So i wanted to mount them different so the cable would be long enough but the pins in the rubber vibration pads just wont come off. Does anyone know what to do in order to remove that pin?
