  1. Thank you both for the input! I will go for the second one then :)
  2. Hi all, I’m in the laptop market for a good budget student laptop that will accompany me during my studies (Computer Science). I already have a top of the line desktop computer, but need a laptop for when I’m in class. My desktop serves as my main workspace, here I run the heaviest workloads for school, while my laptop will serve as my workspace for taking notes and running/compiling light programs/loads. So far I’m stuck on two laptops: The Acer Swift 3 (Ryzen 3 4300U, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD) - https://www.elkjop.no/product/data/barbar-pc/windows-ba
  3. i included a PCPP list. It should say which parts are already purchased. Here is what I have: RAM, PSU, GPU, SSD, Case, extra fans, some sleeved extension cables What I’m missing: CPU and Mobo
  4. Budget (including currency): $200-300 Country: Norway Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: GTA Online, Among Us, Black Ops 3 Zombies, Minecraft Other details: 1080p @ 60Hz or higher, hopefully. PCPartPicker Part List CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600 (12nm) 3.2 GHz 6-Core Processor (kr1592.00 @ CDON NO) Motherboard: MSI B450M PRO-VDH MAX Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard (kr855.00 @ Proshop) Memory: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory (Purchased For kr0.00) Storage: Kingston A2000 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive
  5. Sweet, gonna order an NVME SSD now and then start making these small upgrades. Hopefully he likes his christmas present. Thanks for the help! The laptop has support for upgrades to an NVME SSD so I will install a 500GB one and keep the HDD for secondary storage.
  6. I have some leftover DDR4 SODIMM rated at 2666Mhz laying around. Is it okay to install these? I assume these will automatically downclock to 2133MHz anyway.
  7. The laptop in question: MSI GL62 6QD-015NE 15.6" bærbar gaming PC - Gaming PC laptop - Elkjøp (elkjop.no) Specs: Processor: i5-6300HQ GPU: Nvidia GTX 950M, 2GB RAM: 8GB DDR4 at 2133Mhz Storage: 1TB SATA HDD at 5400RPM I bought this gaming laptop in 2016 and it served me until late 2019. It has gotten noticeably slower over the years, and takes 10-15 minutes to start Windows. This is most likely the harddrive slowing down, as it still runs games pretty oka
  8. Can I use this one (meant for the non-XL Dynamic O11 case): accessories-cases O11D-1 | O11 Dynamic / Air Vertical Kit | LIAN LI is a Leading Provider of PC Cases | Computer Cases. (lian-li.com) Or should I use the one mount for the XL version? accessories-cases O11D XL-1 | LIAN LI is a Leading Provider of PC Cases | Computer Cases. (lian-li.com) My case is the Lian Li O11 Dynamic XL version. Thanks!
  9. These: https://www.shop4no.com/brackets-fixtures-and-enclosures/xspc-radiator-fan-screw-6-32-30mm-16pcs-bag?language=en&gclid=cj0kcqiawmp9brczarisapwtj_fqwron06k92bmrd0u1sncorfvd1dx2-18-coysuwsg50sqtf7hygwaapj5ealw_wcb My NZXT Kraken X73 only comes with enough 6-32 30mm screws for one side with 3x120mm fans, I wish to add another set of 3x120mm fans on the other side for a push pull config in my new Lian Li O11 Dynamic XL build. I found these screws for pretty cheap online and was wondering if they will fit inside the X73 Kraken, or if they will
  10. Sweet. I'll get a 360mm rad instead then. Returning my 280mm now as I write this. Thanks for your help! My final fan config will be this then: 3x120mm (rad) at the top as intake. 3x120mm side as exhaust. 3x120mm bottom as intake
  11. Hm, say I have the funds available - would it be better to just get a 360mm radiator with 3x120mm fans at the top as intake, 3x120mm at bottom as intake and 3x120mm side as exhaust?
  12. Sweet, so the fan config should be like this then: 1x120mm for rear exhaust, 2x140mm mounted on rad at top as exhaust and 3 side and 3 bottom as intake? Is there any fan config I can run where the 3 side can be used as exhaust instead? The fans look very ugly as intake, I made the mistake of ordering LL120s and not QL120...
  13. The XL has support for one 120mm at the rear, should I use it for exhaust or intake? Or just leave it?
  14. Unlucky. What would be the best fan config for this case? I have 7x120mm fans and 2x140mm fans on my rad.
