Hi I need some help to decide which laptop to get. Only use for this laptop is uni work (Microsoft office), web surfing/youtube(video) with at 5-15 chrome tabs My selections are: A1, Dell Inspiron with 7th Generation Intel® Core™ m3-7Y30 Processor (4M Cache, up to 2.60 GHz) with 4GB Memory and 128gb ssd ($699 AUD) OR A2, Dell Inspiron with Intel® Pentium® Processor N3710 (Quad Core) (2M Cache, up to 2.56 GHz) with 4GB Memory and 128gb ssd ($599AUD) my worry is that the low base GHz may not keep up in unforeseen cases other set of choices are B1, HP Pavilion with Intel® Core™ i3 Processor 6100U with 8gb of Ram with 128ssd ($789AUD) or B2, Dell Inspiron with Intel® Core™ i3 Processor 6100U with 4gb of ram with 128ssd ($789AUD) Can you guys give me some advice? thanks

I'm looking for a new 'gaming' chair and have no idea what I should buy. Live in Australia and stock / availability looks pretty shitty here - so will probably have to purchase form the US and then ship it to Aus. Whats everyone using / what have your experiences been with the many many products on the market

It's no secret that we get absolutely #rekt down under. For example, using au.pcpartpicker.com, I came up with a build (Define Nano S, i7 6700k, ITX mobo, GTX1080) that costs $2,450.00 (AUD). Using the US pcpartpicker.com, I created the exact same build for $1,510.00 USD / $1,970 AUD. That's almost a $500 difference.. So, being new to PC Building, where is it recommended australians get our hardware from? Order from the US or suck it up and buy locally?

Being a user of Apple Pay, and loving it, not having to unlock my phone and also having the ability to use my watch (even when my phone is't present) that is extremely handy as well, albeit a lot more awkward to do. I feel that unless Apple also opened up the Apple Pay API, everyone solution would be garbage in comparison. Being able to hold my phone next to the NFC terminal takes literally seconds since I don't have to unlock my phone and look around pages of apps for my bank app, then sign into that one and so on, holding everyone up while you do so. Apple will open up the NFC at some point not necessarily iOS 10 or 11 but they will, they'll have to and when they do it'll cause a lot of apps that just don't hold up as well as Apple Pay's senselessness and perfect integration into iOS. However saying that it will benefit all these other areas is true, although to my knowledge a lot of these can be achieved though Apple's wallet app, but I may be wrong and it probably only allowed for certain developers. HI awesome LTT community, I am going to start my semester soon and I am looking for a new laptop which is specifically light and is powerful enough so it can last my whole degree. In the laptop keyboard is a factor for me. For comparison I currently have a ASUS-K55a and keyboard in that feels small and it's heavy asf. That laptop will be my main computer mostly doing programming. I am really hoping for a 1080p touchscreen but that almost seems impossible, as a programmer I don't foresee it but the only point I am going after is taking notes on touchscreen. Thoughts on touchscreen appreciated. 4k is too much and scaling sucks. I am not looking for high graphics, decent graphics is good. My budget is $1000 - $1500(max) I have been looking at XPS 13(expensive and 4k touch), Yoga 900(techrader says no pen input and shallow keyboard), Zenbook, Surface(keyboards sucks) and more. But I would love to hear from you guys as these things cost a lot especially in australia. And personal experience is far better anyway. Thanks badasses.

https://www.pccasegear.com/wish_lists/604659 This is the wishlist for my rig. Please let me know if there is any thing that wont work with it. This is my first build so I am still unsure of some things. Also I can't find the specs for graphics cards so I need a bit of help. Thanks guys. This build is to be for a high end gaming and recording/stream machine. Also please try to keep the price as close to $1000AU if you can and use the website to suggest a change. I'm willing to go over that price if the rig works and the graphics card is the only missing piece. I expect the final price to be between $1100 and $1600.

Hi, I am a novice PC build enthusiast from Australia who is looking at getting my first gaming rig. Due to my lack of experience I have decided to outsource the build to a custom PC manufacturer (Scorptec), based in Australia. My parts budget is $3600 but can stretch to $3800 if need be. Hey, Just wonderring if anyone knows of any good gaming laptop deals in Australia at the moment? Doesn't specifically need to be a 'gaming' model but would prefer an i7-xxxxHQ cpu, with a GTX850m or better, with a 1080p screen. Goal price is $1000 australian, but can stretch a bit. This is the best thing I've found so far: http://www.msy.com.au/notebooks/15444-acer-nitro-vn7-591g-79fb-i7-4720hq-8g-1tb-156fhd-win81-64bit-4g-gtx960m.html

So I've just pre-orded a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 G1 (new build) and i need a motherboard for the I7 6700k i bought previously. The problem is i live in Australia and we get price gauged pretty bad. I've heard people recommend the MSI Z170A GAMING M5 but the cheapest i can find that board including delivery is $315 Aud would you still recommend this board at that price? Or are there better options?

Hello fellow Aussies! I am just wondering if any of you live in Sydney and know stores which will have the RX 480 on the release date (29th june). I live on the north shore (Hornsby area) but am willing to travel to the city or Ryde area. A link to the store website and/or a phone number would be great. Thanks

Hi. I've been having a few issues with my motherboard, mainly around the rear-panel audio. I've diagnosed the speakers and they even work through the front panel audio on my case. I don't want to spend money on getting a sound card, so I would like to (hopefully if the warranty's still up) RMA the motherboard to Gigabyte. I've owned the motherboard for about 16 months now, how would I go about RMA'ing the board? Or is it better to go to the place where I bought my computer? Thanks, Alpha.

If you've been following Australian politics, you'll understand that Labor have practically revoked all of their promises that they made. Hopefully, if the Australian public vote right, it'll mean that Australia will be in surplus *cough cough* liberal *cough cough* by 2020. The politicians will stop spending money and start repaying loans. If you've got different takes on this, leave it below. -Alpha.

Source: http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2016/05/youtube-red-is-now-available-in-australia/ Source: https://www.youtube.com/red YouTube Red launched in the US in November 2015 and has now come to us Aussies. Memberships will normally cost AUD$12 a month (the same as play music which is included) but the introductory price will be AUD$10 per month As a current user of Google play music I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the YouTube icon say "YouTube Red" at no additional cost

Hi. I live in the Adelaide Metro area, the area that has had terrible wind over the past day or so. So, yesterday, my dad was home and then he took my sister to school. He got home and the internet was down, alongside our Foxtel box. The Foxtel has since come back on. I tried the usual things: Resetting the router I even went as far as unplugging our fibre box from the wall and plugging it back in. Today, my dad got the front cover off of our fibre box and it has revealed that there is a red light where the 'fibre' light is, and with further research (I am using the internet, not my own though) this means that our fibre box has lost connection with the fibre network. We are with Optus, and my dad has tried to ring Optus but couldn't stay on hold forever because he was using his mobile phone and he's only on prepaid. He didn't speak to anyone in the end but he might be able to call Optus from his work tonight. Any suggestions would be great, I can't use my internet on my ethernet devices like my gaming PC and it's killing me not being able to do things online. As I said, I'm somewhere and I'm using a free WiFi hotspot. Thanks, Alpha.
